I stayed the weekend of September 20 to attend Dad s weekend with my daughters who are both Texas Tech Students. This location was perfect as everything we did was walkable other than one evening meal away from campus. Parking was easily accessible and my stay in the Vineyard Room (the 2 bedroom with a spacious living area)was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and well appointed. The other guests were delightful and I completely enjoyed my nice weekend stay. Hostess was amazing and very efficient and professional .also well experienced in the Art of Ssrving Others! Thank you for making my stay so memorable ..and I ll be back again. S Ford

I recently stumbled across this very charming and lovely B&B. I have never enjoyed staying anywhere so much in my life ! it was a stressful weekend, as it was move in day for my son - his first year at Texas Tech. Not only was the location the best, but the staff made you feel like a friend or family member. If at all possible I will be staying here every time I visit my son at Tech.

This experience was exceptional we had to find a last minute place to stay with two under 4. My mother in law was in the ICU we were tired extremely stressed and Dawn swooped in and blessed us beyond our comprehension. She was amazing, she s kind, she s funny, she s caring, she s a great cook. The Woodrow Housr is with in walking distance to Texas tech, five minutes from two major hospitals, ten minutes from shopping entertainment and great food we recommend Abuelo s restaurant. The pool is amazing the beds are so comfy. The best part is the people running the show! Thank you Woodrow for blessing us in our time of need.

my boyfriend and I booked a night here for our 6 month anniversary. We were completely impressed with our stay at Woodrow House. we stayed in the friends and family room. Bed and linens were super comfortable. The owners checked on us as a storm was approaching during our drive there. The check in process was super easy...like arriving at your parents house, we were greeted like we were family. Breakfast was lovely with a beautiful table setting. The owners and staff were top knotch! They even had some cold drinks complimentary. I will definitely stay here again. The house is quiet and cozy. Truly of the best experiences I ve ever had staying somewhere! The staff is BEYOND friendly just soooo sweet, everyone there treats you just like family. The staff is very accommodating and makes you feel super comfortable, My 5 friends and I stayed for my sisters birthday and the lano Estacado suit was perfect for us girls. The pool was the also the perfect temp! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone needing a stay! Fair prices compared to hotels, close to tech.

What a wonderful stay we had at Woodrow House Bed & Breakfast! The location was awesome, as my daughter and I were visiting TTU. The house and the decor is gorgeous! The caboose is really unusual and cool, as well! Our room and bathroom were so clean and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable. The hosts and staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. Thank you for such an awesome experience! Cant wait to come back!

I stay here often, but my most recent stays were the most memorable. I stayed with Dawn and her staff when my Dad was sick in the hospital. We ended up having to put my dad on Hospice, and I checked out. Imagine my surprise when Dawn texts me a couple of days later just to check on him! That level of care is not taught, it is an innate quality that cant be faked. It ends up that the day after my dads funeral, my daughter had a surgical procedure, and we stayed with them again. Becky made sure that my daughters room was ready before the normal check-in time because she would need to come back and rest. The service is above and beyond! When you stay with them, you become part of the extended family Dawn has created with her staff. I want to give a special shout out to Becky, Diana, , Lea, Tawanna! They truly love their jobs and it shows in their interaction with guests. Even Dawns father, Jay, makes you feel at home! He is a former musician, and he is the sweetest man youve met! I STRONGLY encourage you to stay with this amazing family. I promise you wont regret it! Rooms: Each room is themed and has its own unique character. The details make each room special. Stay in as many as you can! I love all of them, but if you are looking to be pampered - the Serenity Suite is IT! Also the honeymoon suite has its own kitchen, so you can squirrel away from the world! The most unique room is the train caboose - YES! Dave figured out how to put a caboose in the back yard and convert into a unique experience! Check out the pictures they have of the process!

We had a great time in the Santa Fe Caboose. Booking was easy on their website, instructions were clear, price was right. Enjoyed the very nice breakfast. Everybody was friendly. This is no-brainer in Lubbock as an alternative to hotels, especially for a close to Tech location.

Stayed in their Caboose. It was cast. Rooms: Rooms are fairly spacious and come with refrigerators and microwaves. The room in a railroad caboose is unique! Nearby activities: It is across the street from Texas Tech Campus. Very convenient for university functions. Walkability: Easy to walk around Texas Tech and Tech Terrace. Food and drinks: Breakfasts were Robert good!

We stayed as guests at Woodrow House Bed and Breakfast from2/15-2/18 specifically in the caboose. We went to Lubbock to see the band Chicago play at The Buddy Holly Center which was very good and nostalgic. Our accommodations in the caboose was the highlight of our stay. After having been a Boxcar Children fan as a kid, it was a thrill to stay in a honest to god train car. Everything about it was warm, cozy, accommodating and comfortable. We loved getting to know Dawn, David, Tawanna and Becky, Dawn and David s family, Kirby, Jazz, John, Alicia, Luigi, Marissa, Cameron and several whose names are escaping me. It was truly a fun weekend with wonderful full breakfasts and coffee everyday. We highly recommend The Woodrow House and the caboose for your stay in Lubbock Texas.

My husband and i were like 2 little kids at Christmas! The honeymoon suite was so pretty with nice surprise touches throughout. We loved the private balcony, the Comphy sheets were so smooth, the Comphy towels were huge and soft, the couch and tv made it feel like we were at the movies. The bed with its canopy and curtains reminded me of Downton Abbey:) The shower/ jacuzzi tub was incredible therapy. Dawn, David and dad, Jay made us feel like old friends. The breakfast was extra special, very beautiful place and ambience. We cant wait to stay again!

Jay is the sweetest host Ive ever met! The actual property is incredibly wonderful with themed rooms and a very lovely breakfast! The cooks are incredible and will accommodate any dietary needs upon request so long as they have the materials. A great and clean bed and breakfast. The breakfast was filling and they had beverages available 24/7. The house is right next to Texas Tech and it was perfect for what I needed. The only suggestion might be softer pillows, but Im really picky about pillows. :-)

There is no place like home but The Woodrow House is a very close second. The staff and venue are superb and Grandpa is the cherry on top! Thankful for such a luxurious weekend and the feeling of being with friends. Very thoughtfully done! Live my mug as a momento! Rooms: Very comfortable from the perfect bed to the huge shower; bench to sit on and a place to put suitcase. Glasses for water and free refreshment bar. Bath products are wonderful. Lots of plugs for devices also! Nearby activities: Had to name them all! Safety: Felt very secure with gated entrance at back; keypad locks on outside doors and security lights. Ive enjoyed every visit to the Woodrow House Bed & Breakfast. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are comfortable. We stayed when I moved my daughter to TTU for her first year of college; Dawn, the owner, gave me a small TTU tissue holder with tissues for my drive back home. She said she makes one for all the moms who leave their kids. I used it several times. She even gave my daughter her card and invited her for a home-cooked meal if she is lonely. This is something you will never receive at a hotel. I love staying at the Woodrow House Bed & Breakfast. Rooms: Ive stayed in two different rooms and enjoyed them both. The Buddy Holly room was comfortable and decorated with everything Buddy Holly. The caboose was a lot of fun and surprisingly spacious. I especially liked that it is situated in the back and you have a secured parking area. Nearby activities: Close to TTU campus - you can walk there. Food and drinks: Woodrow House keeps a well-stocked snack station and their breakfast is healthy and delicious. The most important - they have good coffee.

What a personable and pleasurable experience! Staying here was incredible! It suited our needs to a T. Traveling with various ages (ages from 9 to 94)The Woodrow House was most accommodating. We loved our rooms - The Caboose and The President s Room. Breakfast was elegant and an experience of fine dining! The swimming pool was great for the 2 kids. It was calming and quiet and we enjoyed the resident cat in charge! Dawn and CoCo both were fabulous and very focused on our needs. It was the total essence of wonderful customer service!

My grandson and I stayed in the President s room. There was plenty of room for the roll away bed that my grandson slept on. Both beds were very comfortable. We both enjoyed the backyard pool and the games that were available in the living area. Dawn prepared a wonderful two course full breakfast before we had to leave. I only wish that we could have stayed longer because staying at the Woodrow House was a wonderful experience.

I love going places that have CLEAN and unique rooms with great service. Coco made us feel at home from the second we stepped in. Breakfast wasnt my 100% fav (I prefer more of the basics--eggs, pancakes, biscuits, sausage, etc.), but I appreciated how healthy it was and the effort. Great time meeting good folks. We love staying at the Woodrow House, even making sure that there is availability before planning a trip that passes through Lubbock. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. I love having the opportunity to relax with a glass of wine and snacks either in our room or poolside. The bedding and towels are luxurious. The breakfasts are varied, tasty. I shared photos of our well-appointed room with friends who suggested that we cancel our trip to Santa Fe and just hang out at the Woodrow House! We will definitely return!

We made this reservation last minute by calling and talked with Coco. She hooked us up with the President s Suite and was an absolute joy to visit with! The breakfast was delightful! The room was clean, the bed was cozy, the comforter and sheets were unbelievably soft, and we had access to the rest of the property easily! The location is on a Main Street, but the city of Lubbock is doing construction on the street, and that made it somewhat difficult to get to the place Nearby activities: Monomyth (coffee), La Diosa (wine and tapas)

Stayed here for a work trip to Lubbock, checked in late due to some work but that wasnt an issue or a problem (I was even able to sign up for breakfast). Dawn, the wonderful host made the most delicious breakfast in the morning before I had to check out and head back home. Really makes you feel like youre at home even when youre miles away from home. I wish there was an option for a 10 ! I cannot say enough about what this place means to us. We stayed here in August during move in for my daughter to . When she had an emergency appendectomy they came through big! We stayed here during her recovery and they loved on her and made her feel at home. I can go back to houston knowing she has extended family here to lean on anytime she needs it!! Dawn, David, Jay, Becky and Twana are first class hosts! (Even Jazzy the kitty made us feel welcome)! Great owners, incredible location and wonderful personal touches. I stayed in the 50s room. Woodrow House is a unique option compared to your standard hotel or even traditional modern B&B- much more similar to the European experience. Its a single home with multiple rooms for rent, and meals prepared. The rental is designed in a coop structure with common spaces (kitchen, living room, etc.) to use with other guests and the owners all in the same home. They are very accessible and respond quickly to any electronic communications, they do a great job of communicating before and during the rental and the extras (free snacks, water, sodas and beer) are a nice touch. The home has a beautiful pool and would be ideal for families and parties. It is a private residence, and an older one at that, so there are plenty of aspects that give it the homey feel but should be noted in advance - lots of carpet, family photos adorn all the walls, my shower was an old tub with wrap around curtain of the old-fashioned variety and the interior design for the 50s room is indeed very 50s retro kitsch. Plenty of parking, easy to access and lots of people around most of the day. If you want maximum privacy perhaps this is not your place but if you have a sense of adventure, then highly recommended. David and Diane know what they are doing. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to in the future!

Not real good customer service when questioning the pricing before going to the bed and breakfast the guy David got all rude and bent out of shape then he went on to cancel my reservation really?? just for asking questions about pricing hmm?? Is there something wrong with that??? Sounds like overpricing for 2 nights to me but any ways he s very unprofessional!!!! He needs a better hobby not in hotel business!!!

Periodically, the Woodrow House has these all inclusive stay-cation weekends. New Years Eve was one of them. We started Friday evening with wine and cheese, then had a Prime Rib dinner. Games, hot tub and so much fun followed all through the night. A full breakfast was offered the next morning. We couldnt have asked for a better experience: the bed was AMAZING; comfortable and soft, the food was delicious, and the owners (Dawn and David) were the friendliest of all! Well worth the money spent!

The gentleman called back saying we didnt have a right reservation that we didnt get emailed I forwarded him the email showing the quote. He got mad because we where jus asking him how much extra the extra room was going to cost us he was up charging us $200 for extra person and we had 3 and was charging for other things he got mad because the total came out to $990 or something like that we where fine with that we just wanted to know the price of the room he got mad cause he said he couldnt give us a price due to other charges he was charging us and we questioned that so he got really upset and canceled are stay.. he has horrible customer service shouldnt be allowed on here treating customers like that

This was our first experience at a B&B and wow did the Woodrow House set the bar high. Their professionalism, warm hospitality, and knowledge of the area really made our visit with our son amazing. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the Jazz music played by Dawns father. The breakfast for our six day visit were tasty and we never left hungry from the table. Dave and Dawn really have a passion for their job and go above and beyond to make each guest feel comfortableand welcomed. We will definitely visit again and give our highest recommendations!

We stayed in the honeymoon suite on our honeymoon trip. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was a little soft for me but still very comfortable. Jacuzzi tub is nice for a soak. We didnt get to enjoy the pool because it was a little too chilly outside. But the stay was nice and relaxing. The breakfast was great and the owner was so nice. Definitely try the house coffee. Its right across the street from the university. If you have a larger vehicle, the parking lot is a little hard to maneuver, but we were able to get in and out ok. Great stay!

The bedrooms were very spacious. The ladies were very friendly as well as their parents and grandfather. They were very attentive & friendly. The view was perfect, right across the street from Texas Tech. They also have a nice hot tub with a swimming pool. There s a grill with draft beer. Very nice place to stay! I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone.

Outstanding! Highly recommend! We stayed at the Woodrow House for 3 nights in July 2021 and were very impressed. The hosts, David and Dawn, were superb and extremely welcoming. This was not at all what we expected for the place! We stayed in the caboose and the floor is warped at both doors, the place smells unless you leave the bathroom exhaust on, there is no lock on the door to lock from the inside, there is no place to hang your towels to dry or to have access to when showering, the air is on but it was still hot at night.there is no place to hang clothes because the closet is too low to the ground & your clothes would drag on the floor and there is no dresser space to store anything either. The whole inside of the caboose is in need of renovations; it s old & dingy! The parking for guests is limited and hard to park in. The owners are very friendly & the breakfast was good but the price for the caboose is too high for as bad of shape as it is in.

My family rented out the whole house for a wedding in Lubbock. It was terrific. We had 10 rooms and 10 bathrooms to use for privacy and for getting everyone ready for the wedding. After the wedding, we all had a place to gather and visit and unwind with the pool and grill. The hosts were terrific and took care of everything we needed, including leaving us stocked with drinks and full kitchen use. Plenty of parking, and we enjoyed morning walks around the campus which was right across the street! Thanks Dawn and David!

*****EDITED TO GIVE MORE DETAIL******* I stayed in either 11/18 or 11/19 to attend a concert at the Cactus Theater for a surprise gift from my husband. We were in a room not attached to the main house, it looked rather run down. I saw the disappointment in my husbands eyes upon arrival. The room was mostly clean but the decor was over the top but ok. Except a picture hung directly next to our bed, making both of us uncomfortable. There were a few plumbing issues. Over all what we experienced wasnt worth the amount paid. The location was great. Bedding soft. I did not feel it was superior or worth five stars. Just OK. 3 stars.

We loved staying in the Caboose! This place felt so homey and was perfect for our family! 2 adults and 3 small children fit so perfectly in the caboose! We stayed in the caboose last weekend and had a great time. My son has been talking about sleeping in the train all week. Dawn and David were amazing host. I dont know if they know the word no. They went as far as making my son a serving of sausage when he didnt want to eat the breakfast (3 year olds). The breakfast by the pool was amazing. My wife and I loved going to pick the grapes to make wine with. You cant beat the prices of the rooms with all the extra perks that come with it. Free beer, wine, water, soda, chips, crackers, and snacks. We couldnt get enough of the swimming pool and hot tub. We are from lubbock but didnt feel like we were in lubbock all weekend.

Wonderful venue with the best hosts in Lubbock, coming from someone who lives with an Airbnb Superhost! Definitely stay in the caboose; an amazing renovation of an absolute treasure, and very well appointed. David Fleming and his family take such good care of their guests that they go to the lengths of flying flags out front from the countries of international travelers. There were South African and South Korean flags out when we visited. They do have Australian and Texan flags, too...

this place is the best place I have ever stayed in. Dawn and her husband David treat everyone as if they were family this is the second weekend we have stayed here. We were gonna be leaving today but our 11 month old son took a dive off a changing table when we were out doing stuff for the day. and we had to go to the er. we called the Woodrow house trying to get another room so we could stay again, talked with Dawn and she said we had a room waiting for us as soon as we got out of er, and without even saying anything she offered to come get our 6 year old daughter from the er for us to keep her entertained and busy while were we at the er. This place is so amazing and Dawn and David are truly amazing people and welcome everyone with welcome arms and are truly a second family to mine thank you Dawn and David.

This was the most fabulous lodging Ive ever had on a work trip. I slept like a brick in the incredible bed in the Presidents Room, and I loved the shower and the historical decorations as well. The breakfast was amazing and the check-in process could not have been more friendly or easier. I went to Woodrow House for a photoshoot with a friend. The room we used was amazing, and embellished beautifully. It made for a magical shoot, and they even had personalized touches for my friend who did actually stay the room. The bathroom was amazing, and I fell in love with the shower. I also loved the sweet notes people left in the journal that was available.

My friend and I had a great stay at the Woodrow Bed &Breakfast. We rented the caboose and it was soo charming . The pool and hot tub are right outside the door and are really clean and nice. The staff is so nice and helpful. Your room is stocked with filtered water and they put a nice chocolate treat on your pillow. Woodrow house is located across the University so lots of restaurants and coffee places close by . I highly recommend a stay at Woodrow House.

We arrived late for an unplanned stay, but knew this was a great place to stay. This was not our first stay at Woodrow House. Hosts are very accommodating, providing the small things like wine, cookies, and other refreshments. Breakfast was superb. Other guests, who were drawn by the University, made for interesting discussions. Evening social time with David and Dawn in the living room was a learning opportunity about that part of Texas. This is a great place to stay! You are welcomed at the door by an owner who walks you through everything you need to know. The room was clean and neat and they had the extras we requested waiting in the room. Breakfast each morning was made fresh when we sat down and was very good! My husband and I are very glad that we chose to eat at the house instead of out each morning. They had a whole station with drinks, cookies, chips, etc. in the living room for the taking.
