Food, drinks and service were 5 stars and delicious. Only bad thing was multiple kitchen staff could be seen eating with their bare hands in the kitchen, playing with their hair and touching their faces. No gloves and never watch those individuals wash hands.

I was craving a good hotdog, a friend told me about Flippers Tavern. So I decided to try it out. I was surprised at the variety of hotdogs they had. I dont remember the name of the hotdog I ordered all I remember is that it had crumbled bacon and Sriracha it was the bomb. (Good) They have a variety of beers which I didnt get to try since I was driving. Next time I will come as a passenger.

Usually have a great experience here...we went in last Wednesday on Valentines Day, about 1:30 and there was only one table of 4 and one guy sitting at the bar. So we sit down and it takes the bartender/ waitresses 10 minutes to come and greet us and bring menus., very short hello, and an Ill be back. didnt offer to take our drink order, just walked away...we sat for another 17 minutes, yes I timed it. She never returned. So we stood up and left. On the way out the door, she says are you guys taking off? I said yes, you obviously didnt want to take our order at all. Wont go back.. rude, bad service. Too bad. Management, if you read this, look up who was working on V day...she needs some serious training.

We walked in close to 9 with a party of 6 and saw only one table that we could fit us. We walked that way to grab it. We were standing around trying to figure who would sit where. Bartender walked over and we thought she was going to greet us, but instead says, Do y all want the table wiped? (table had food and drinks still on there) and we said yes please. She very rudely said well if you do y all need to move because I can t clean it with yall just sitting there. My sister said, we weren t sitting at the table at the table . We were standing around table. The bartender then said well if you d move I could clean it, do y all not see Im short. I have never been talked to that rude! I m sorry but if you re that unhappy at your job, why take it out on customers. So upsetting that we told the waitress and she apologized for her! No telling how many customers the bartender has ran off as well.

Creative and unique (and very delicious!) hot dogs, good beer selection, good atmosphere, servers are friendly and speedy. Prices are reasonable. Only one thing that wasnt there thats needed: A change machine. A half-dozen pinball machines ready to play, but I only had 2 quarters in my pocket - and the least expensive pinball was 75¢. I should have asked my server, maybe they can make change. The picture is the Supersonic hot dog.

Cool pinball-themed spot with rockabilly vibes. If I lived in Lubbock, this would be the spot to hang out. Good food, drinks that hit the spot, great pricing, and friendly staff. We had the yin & yang chips and queso, a Frito pie, the Philthy Wizard dog, and the gouda mac demonic with death sauce (definitely a potent heat). I also had a London Grog from their fall drinks menu. Everything had great flavor and was well put together. Definitely a place Id like to visit again.

Love, loved the hot dogs. We ordered the Sourpuss with macaroni and cheese, the Southern Belle with potato salad. The Sourpuss and macaroni and cheese won first prize! We had a party of 13 people on Saturday 3/18 around 6pm. We were immediately seated at two tables. Our server, Sam, was outstanding and made sure we were all taken care of for the entire night. We played music on the jukebox, enjoyed lots of fun mixed drinks, and delicious food. I ordered the supersonic dog with deadly mac and cheese. Very spicy, but so yummy! I was here 3/18 from 6-9 ish with a very large group. Even though the building is small they did a great job accommodating us even though we were incredibly loud and slightly annoying! There wasn t a whole lot of people there until 7:30, the drinks came out quick, the food was good. The queso was especially delicious, although it could use more chips The bathrooms were pretty clean and the electronic jukebox was AWESOME! A very nice meal. I had the pretzels and the bratwurst with a side Caesar salad. Everything was tasty. The pretzels were not the *best* that I ve ever had, but they were certainly better than average, and the cheese sauce was great. This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Lubbock for a few years now. In the past 9 months they changed management and while the service is much better, they have changed the menu a lot and taken off some of my favorite items. I am really disappointed about this, as one of my favorite things about Flippers were their many choices of hotdogs, especially the many vegan/vegetarian options they had. They still have these options available, but only for the build your own or as a substitute. They use to have an entire vegan/vegetarian section, and were one of the only places in Lubbock that did. The food and drink are still good, but the experience is always slightly disappointing with some of my favorite items no longer on the menu, not to mention they do not serve Sunday brunch anymore. I hope that they consider adding some of these items back in the future (Kawaii Dog, The Streetz, and Cool Mint), and having a more dedicated section to non-meat options.

I got charged on two different cards. I called back to see if we could come to an understanding. The young lady told me shed call me by the end of the day or the next day for sure. I waited a week and called again to no avail. I liked the place but the lack of interest to make the situation right is beyond me. I wont go back and this is probably an isolated incident but Id suggest paying with cash because no one is invested in making this customer feel appreciated. Flippers Tavern is a really neat place! The tabletops are old pinball machines. The decor is like stepping back in time. The employees were happy and very upbeat. But the food wasnt very good to me at all. They have a choice of hot dogs or hot dogs. They have appetizers of chips and queso, but I didnt think the queso was good at all. It was a bit strange tasting. They have pretzels and queso to, same story. I ordered a build your own hot dog with chili. The chili was not like chili at all. More like taco meat. The franks (instead of using the normal word) were huge around and I dont like the taste of that. In fact, I hardly ate any and had to stop before I threw up. It was over $8.00 for my hot dog and glass of water. It might be a cool place to have a drink at. We were on lunch break so that was not possible for us.

Unique gourmet hot dogs. Good selection of beers, porters, & ales. While the hot dog recipes are flavorful and good, I found the included bag of convenient store chips, self opened by the customer, disappointing. Hand made and house flavored chips would be a more complimenting side. A variety of beverages on tap with different taste profiles and ABV was amazing. Fast kitchen. Cant wait for the next visit through town. Reasonable priced for food and beverages!

In town visiting family Vegetarian options: I had regular hot dog ,my cousins had a vegetarian option,then we played video games forgot to take picture of hot dog and chips but it was delicious, cool atmosphere, we dined inside,some people,dined outside ,with there dogs,so dog friendly,kid friendly Parking: Parking on street in front,or parking lot onside of restarunt. Kid-friendliness: Cool atmosphere, food they like,and video games.

Ordered Jack Daniel s straight up and our waitress asked if I wanted Ice. I told her no but she brought it with ice anyway. She seemed very put out, but went back and strained the drink into a glass. Not that I needed to explain but I told her I like my whiskey room temp and not watered down. She then told me I ll get you one, but I m going to have to charge you for the second one I brought because you ordered twice ???? Didn t even realize I ordered once and she was wrong twice. She lied and said their was no manager, but after some digging I found the manager. Needless to say I didn t eat or pay for the drink I didn t drink or order.
