How do I begin to thank The Shellist Law Firm for everything they ve helped me through. They not only helped me when I needed it most, but they stood up for me, cared about my wellbeing and comforted me through a very difficult time. In October of 2018, while driving home, I was hit by a reckless driver at high speed on the highway, literally and figuratively turning my life upside down. What followed was months of painful therapy, followed by years of trying to adjust to the new normal, which included neck and back pain, problems sleeping, along with myriad issues that stemmed from those outcomes. I was introduced to Steve Shellist through a mutual acquaintance and was in a fragile space following my accident. However, I never once felt like Steve was attempting to take advantage of my situation. On the contrary, he took his time, explained the process to me, and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision on how to proceed. Following our agreement to work together, Steve was there to guide me wherever I needed it, while still leaving the final decisions up to me. He kept me informed and answered all my questions. I wish I could say my case was a quick settlement but even though it went longer than I would have liked, I understood the process and with Steve there at my side, he made it as easy as possible to navigate so I could focus on the most important thing, my healing. I very much appreciated that. He also kept the communications simple without letting me feel like I was forgotten and just another case . When we finally neared the end, Steve played a pivotal role in making me feel comfortable during negotiations and his style was second to none. He s intelligent, quick witted and personable, but also tough and I believe these traits, along with his guidance, got me across the finish line in a manner that was truly more than I ever expected.
