The food was decent. You get 2 sauces, a green jalapeno and chunky tomato salsa, basically a bowl of tomatos but tastes good. Had the burrito bowl with chicken and steak and it was pretty good.

Food was mediocre TexMex with little flavor. Chips and salsa were just ok. Queso was pretty decent. The smothered giant burrito was ok with the queso but the original chili con carne I ordered had a bitter tinge. The manager graciously had it remade. The service was excellent from top down. Prices were decent for 2024. My family liked it. Small kids menu but the cheeseburger was excellent according to my children. Kid-friendliness: Small kids menu but the cheeseburger was excellent according to my children.

*Update: My son wanted to eat here, so I reluctantly took him. We received a single creamy jalapeño to share, as usual. It had, what appeared to be, an eyelash floating on top. I showed the waitress and she barely took a look and I had to ask for a replacement sauce. I took a picture of the hair on a chip after fishing it out. Older reviews: Eating in, we were given one bowl of sauce with our chips. We asked for one more and 2 of the jalapeño ranch sauce. They said they could only do one. Im not sharing sauce. Some people double dip and sharing one bowl per table is disgusting. The one bowl we got wasnt even half filled. The server was great. The last few times were horribly slow. Our pick up took almost an hour AFTER we checked in. We received cold food.

So I m a huge fan of Chuy s. I love the Tyler location. Maybe because the Longview location is new and it s not bad but the food does not taste the same as other locations. I got the fajita beef tacos and they taste a bit on the bland and bad side. Like they were going out of date bad. I had the same thing in Tyler location and it was very good. It just isn t the same as other locations and I hope it gets better because Chuy s is an awesome restaurant.

first of all our bartender was AMAZING. her name is karyssa and she made the best drinks and they were strong. she made us have a wonderful experience for our first time. i ve been wanting to try it for awhile now and im glad that we did. the food was amazing and the queso was to die for. the jolepeno cheese dip with the chips was so good too. we WILL be going back especially if karyssa is bartending! the walls were covered in pictures of peoples dogs and I LOVED seeing all the dogs as a dog mom myself.

Amazing food. With plenty of Tex-Mex options, it still surprises me how well Chuys stands out. It has been our favorite since we discovered it, and Im so happy to have a new location here in Longview. Update2023: Just returned from a trip through New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Food was okay, need more than 2-3 servers for a Friday afternoon. Server didnt bring all my food out at the same time, so the queso that came with the flautas was a waste as I only ordered it for this. Charged me extra for this. Then asked for a spoon. Came out with the check. Asked for double rice, received rice & beans. I just went with it. Had two pieces of rice. Really. Sad. Wont be back.

Took my parents for their anniversary...their first visit at Chuys. They were so impressed and are already planning when we can go again! Dietary restrictions: The server was so helpful by allowing my mom to ask for her quesadillas to include what she could have and remove what she couldnt have, and the chef did an excellent job of creating a dish that was just right for her needs!

I could tell this was going to be a great experience as soon as I got to the door. I was greeted with a smile. Seated immediately and had a great server by the name of Hannah. She brought me fresh chips and salsa. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they werent greasy nor drenched in salt. They had just the right amount. The homemade salsa was delicious! I ordered the appetizer plate as a meal, thinking it would be a great way to try three different things. I assumed it would be a small plate, but I was pleasantly surprised by how huge it was. Everything was delicious! I ended up taking most of it home. When it was time to leave, I was greeted by everyone, telling me to come back and to have a great day. To be honest, I went in feeling like Blueys Grumpy Granny and left feeling like I was walking on sunshine. Their smiles were so contagious!

I joined some friends out to eat, this was my first time to eat at the Longview Chuys. I ordered the Tex-Mex bowl I believe and the best part of it was its presentation. The food was very good and my bowl went back completely empty. I am a chips and salsa guy, anyone that has ever eaten with me anywhere chips and salsa is served can verify that I eat them before, during and after the meal. Most chain restaurants and even smaller local mom and pop Tex-Mex restaurants tend to have very mild Salsas that leave me meh. This is not the case at Chuys, I loved the salsa and it had a bit of heat. Overall pleased with dinner.

My wife and I have always enjoyed going to Chuys and this newer location in Longview is no exception. We do miss some of the items that are no longer on the menu, but what is left still tastes great and the cocktail selection is still fun. Also, there is a wall with pictures of dogs and at least three of them had pomeranians.

Great place for drinks and mexican food. Has a bar as well as outdoor seating. There was a wait but this place stays busy so we were prepared to wait. Similar to other locations I have been to (hubcap decor) but much more of a Mexican restaurant vibe than the other location in tyler imo. I love the high ceilings and ample, covered outside seating. I think I was overcharged. Menu full order of Panchos is $11.99. half order is supposed to be $9.99 and is comparable to everyone else. Questioned the waitress, if they had gone up with n their price. Told her the price was too high. At 12 noon they had 9 tables out 25 occupied. Somethings wrong and if they want to stay in business, they need to find out what it is and fix it.. IMMEDIATELY! I like their ground beef Panchos. But too high for 2 tortillas cut in half.

I m a huge fan of Chuy s, all the way back to 1982 in Austin! Sooooooo Excited, they opened a location here in Longview! The food is just how I expected Tex-Mex to be at this location too! My favorite are the Elvis Presley, memorial combo, and the Chuychanga, with of course, a large bowl of chips, queso, red and green sauce, and guacamole!!! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, so definitely do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner!

So Ill be honest, my rating for the food overall is higher only because the friend I went with enjoyed hers quite a bit and the queso was some of the best Ive had around here. My burrito, however, I was not a huge fan of. That being said, I could have easily ordered a different item and been more pleased, so I still really do recommend this location. The server we got (I feel really bad that I cant remember her name!) was super nice, super candid, and was really attentive. Atmosphere is pretty alright, too, not my vibe personally but it does what it does well! All in all, this Chuys has my stamp of approval.

I hadnt been to Chuys before and decided to give it a shot. For me, the salsa is how I know if the food will be good. Unfortunately Chuys doesnt really have salsa, they have finely diced pico. I ordered their cheese enchilada dish and I didnt care for the sauce it came with. Maybe one day Ill give it a second shot but for now I can say Im not a fan. I rated 3 stars because our waitress was nice and attentive and the atmosphere has good vibes.

First time to eat in the Chuys here in Longview. Food was hot and very tasty. Had the Elvis Presley memorial. Plenty of food. Left with leftovers a couple of days later. Wife had a BlackBerry margarita, which was good, but expensive. Their salsa was good. It had a bit more bite to it. The menu was smaller than the one in Denton, but I have not been in that one for awhile. Food prices were reasonable. Will go back.
