Went for lunch, sat at the bar and ordered one steak and two pieces of bacon. Waited for 35 min for food before I had to leave to go back to work. In that time, the people beside me, who sat down at the bar after I did received their salad and entrees before I left. All of which were put into the computer after my order. I didn t think it would take that long to get a single steak and two pieces of bacon. Sad

Decided last minute to take my mom to dinner and I m glad we chose this Saltgrass location. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We both had the chopped steak and a pineapple margarita. What really made this experience great was our server, Nick. Literally the best server I have had in a while. He was very attentive, polite, and personable. Wish I could give this review more than 5 stars because of the amazing service. Every time I come to this location I will definitely ask to be sat in his section.

Our family took my brother here for graduating Fire academy. Worst mistake we could have made. Walked in and the person at the front looked at us, then immediately walked away, leaving us standing at the front for about 10 minutes, keep in mind, theres maybe 6-10 tables of people in the entire place. We sit down and our food takes over an hour to come out, with over half being cold, food missing, none of it had any flavor, and our waitress disappearing for pretty much the entire time. Keep in mind. Theres maybe 10 tables MAXIMUM. Would never recommend this place to anybody who wants any decent service or food

Saltgrass is hands down the best steakhouse in town. I m very particular about my steaks and they got it right the first time. I asked for Pat s Ribeye cooked medium, loaded baked potato, and house salad. The steak was perfect! The food was delicious, customer service was top tier, and the drinks from the bar were not watered down. It didn t take us long to be seated, the waitstaff were professional and prompt, and the manager Reggie made it his mission to make sure everything was to our liking. I had an exceptional experience here and will be returning.

Our server was professional, prompt, and kind. Our food came out quickly and just as wed hoped. I had a 12oz medium well ribeye, and it was delicious. In my humble opinion, it is much better than TX Roadhouse. I also had a Ceasar salad, which was very fresh. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, though I do prefer more seasoning. But still all very good! We enjoyed our meal and time here and will be back.

On 20 MAY 2024, I was back in Longview visiting family. I decided to take the family out to Saltgrass, the best steakhouse in Texas. The electricity was flickering through the entire neighborhood; sections of north Longview were having electrical issues. While we enjoyed our discussion, the electricity eventually stopped flickering and completely went out. The only lighting in the restaurant where the emergency lights. No doubt other restaurants closed. However, Saltgrass remained focus on Mission to provide us the best steaks and sea food in Texas. With no lights or music, as all electricity was out in the building, Saltgrass brought out all of our entrees, and we thoroughly enjoyed our late afternoon lunch. The fuel for their kitchen is generated by natural gas. Saltgrass provides the best service and the most tasty surf and turf in Texas!

My wife and I went on a dinner date. First we had fried pickles. These were very good. I ordered the chopped steak with mushrooms and onions with a side of broccoli. I was was quite happy with that choice. The side salad and bread were not great. My wife got the grilled and fried shrimp dinner with brussle sprouts on the side. These were average. Nothing special. Definitely better options for shrimp in town. We were not particularly impressed with the service. I am super gluten sensitive (not celiac, though) and called to see if they had a gf menu, which they do. When speaking with them, they used the correct terminology explaining that though they have a GF menu, they are not a GF kitchen. Sadly, I dont remember our waitresses name, but she was very knowledgeable and when she brought the bread out it was GF. She didnt bring any other bread out at that time due to cross-contamination concerns which I really appreciated. Later I asked about the bread as it was actually decent tasting so she went to the back and asked what it was. She had been told it was a certain brand and told me. I had started looking for gf of that brand when I recieved a call from the mgr (remember, I had called earlier to enquire so they had my number) letting me know his employee had misinformed me. They actually use UDIs and toast it. He also asked about the meal etc. I will 100% go back there. It was such a joy getting to go out and eat without getting sick. Ive yet to find any other place in Longview that has gone that extra mile for their customers. Thank you so very much.

What good is a reservation? I had one to celebrate our wedding anniversary. No table was available as requested; we waited a half hour and nothing happened so we left. Hostess never communicated with us and no manager ever showed up to discuss. We have been to Saltgrass Longview many times (usually with a reservation) and received good service and food, but they really let us down for this one. I am also a Landrys Select Club member and have always found dining at many other LSC restaurants to be very good. Not sure if we would return to Saltgrass Longview after this experience.

Due to personal reasons we had our Christmas lunch there. The waiter was extremely nice and I felt no judgment for being there on Christmas. Saltgrass is our favorite place to be and the atmosphere is completely comfortable. Thank you to the management and employees for being open.

You can take me off these emails. I took my 93 year old mother to your longview texas saltgrass and when I arrived it was 8:30 and i pulled my landrys card and the girl said that card wont help you tonight going on to say it will be an hour and a half before we can seat you. I took her across the street to Texas Roadhouse which had twice the customers that you did and they got me in 20 minutes later without talking down to me.

12/27/23 My wife and I visited Saltgrass of Longview, Texas for an early supper. The dining room was not crowded maybe 20 people in the in entire place. Our waitress, an underage African-American was polite to a degree, but acted like she clearly wanted to be anywhere else but there. Her communication skills were nearly non-existent and we had to ask for silverware so that we could eat our appetizer, which were the crab cakes and the best part of our meal. For the main course we ordered steak and baked potatoes. The potatoes were stale and it was clear to my wife and I that they had been sitting in a warmer for quite some time. The steaks were ordered medium rare and my wifes steak arrived medium at best (see attached). My steak was ok, but yall all know its all about keeping the wife happy. My wife ate most of her steak because our under inspired waitress never came back to chek on us. Later, and after seeing my wifes half eaten steak our waitress was able to get her meal comped, but only after another 20 minute wait after we were done eating. Not a terrible experience, but rather annoying.

Very disappointed took an hour to sit when there was hardly anyone there finally sit down took forever to get someone to get our drinks and refills manager was rude when we said we had terrible service said it basically wasn t his problem they were a little short staffed even though there wasn t hardly any customers anytime we needed help the employees were to busy standing around talking to each other took half an hour to get change back from me paying out and half an hour for them to even bring me my ticket worst service I ve ever had in any restaurant in longview

Asked for a refill on drink..took forever, had the Pat Ribeye (12oz) both of ours was more like a 5oz because it was all fat and thin, asked for extra butter for the potatoes..had to wait awhile because they forgot, and asked for extra ranch for the salad..and again, didnt bring it out and had to wait....we understand its the holidays, and IF IT WERE BUSY, but it was 3 in afternoon and hardly anyone there except for a Christmas party in the room to the left as you come in the door....even the bread was hard First time, a few months ago, we thought it was because it was so busy and we did take out, but this is the second time.... wont be a third.

Went in on Thanksgiving day. My son ordered ribs and they were amazing, I ordered ribeye, MW. It was MW on the outside and MR in the middle. Bummer. Server was great in the beginning, but quickly forgot about us. Still, overall, a good dinner. We will go again.

Made online reservations for our family to celebrate 2 birthdays in our family. Specified how many people we had, how many kids and how many highchairs were needed. Also said we were celebrating 2 birthdays. We had 13 people total and only one waitress took care of us. In my opinion, there should have been 2. Had to ask for high chairs after we were seated. Waited for a while for the bread to be brought out and loaves seemed small. A few of us needed our glasses refilled and the waitress finally realized it over halfway thru the meal. Kinda disappointed in the service and no attention was apparently made to the reservation I made online. Across the street Roadhouse was super busy. Saltgrass was not and Im beginning to see why. Weve been here several times and its hit or miss with food/service. :(

My family and I ate here Saturday night around 7:30 pm (a party of 20). The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The waiter and waitress were awesome. I should have written their names down because they were awesome. Kid-friendliness: For new parents, they offer the slings for infant carriers. I absolutely love those things.

Everything was a little scattered as they were training and my gf steak was not how she ordered it cooked but all in all it was a pleasant experience and the food was decent mine was cooked to perfection although the broccoli could be cooked more it was tough but everything including the service was average and we will definitely be back

I had the Chicken Laredo even though the steaks are to die for here always cooked to perfection!!! This place has great quality food and the prices are reasonably priced. The service here is good, also has a bar in case you like to have a cocktail with your meal. Restaurant is well staffed and clean. The menu has so many great food options you will not be disappointed if you come. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family

Poor service, steaks were not how we wanted them cooked waiter didnt even ask how he wanted them but when I brought it up when he came back with our drinks he said its okay he took a guess I got you and his guess was way off there were several times my daughter and I were just going to leave while waiting for our food took over an hour to get our food and they werent that busy

I ordered the grilled shrimp tonight with the brussel sprouts. The shrimp was great, the brussel sprouts were cooked to long and very dry. I ask if iI could send the brussel sprouts back and just get sauteed mushrooms, the manager told the waitress that would be an upgrade and cost me 3.00 extra dollars. The brussel sprouts were dry! What happened to making the customer happy? Make the order right!
