Owners stole original art from me and blocked me before ever trying to return the art. I guess that s what I get for showing my art in a gas station restaurant. The guy unblocked me to say he would give my art back if I showed up w/in 7 days didn t even see the message until this morning the day before his limit cuts off.

I cannot thank Krupal and Chef Travis at Scottie s Bistro enough for making our recent event so memorable. Despite being closed on Mondays, they went above and beyond to prepare an incredible lunch for our group of 25 guests. The food was nothing short of spectacular! The Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders and Prime Rib Sliders were a hit, the Blackened Chicken Alfredo was divine, and the Bistro Salad was the perfect complement. And let s not forget the thoughtfully prepared Vegan and Vegetarian meals that were both delicious and much appreciated by our California guests who never expected to find such perfect options deep in the heart of the piney woods! Krupal and Chef Travis, you made me proud to share our favorite local flair, and the warmth and quality of your food left a lasting impression on everyone. Don t let the location of Scotties Bistro fool you this isn t your typical gas station restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff couldn t be more friendly and accommodating. The patio dining experience is particularly enjoyable; it s covered, with fans to keep you cool during the warmer months, and offers a lovely view of the Piney Woods. One of the standout features of Scotties Bistro is the fusion of flavors in their menu. On my last visit, I ordered the brunch BLT, which was incredibly tasty. My kiddo couldn t get enough of the kids chicken and waffles a perfect choice for little ones. On previous visits, I ve also enjoyed the Punjabi Benedict; the curry flavor adds a unique and delightful twist to the dish. The portion sizes are just right generous without being overwhelming. If youre looking for a hidden gem in Longview, Scotties Bistro is definitely worth a visit.

Scottish is in the weirdest location for a bistro, but talk about a diamond in the rough! This little place cooks amazing food! I am a culinary student, and I aspire to create food like Scotties Bistro. Something about the flavor lasts in your mind! Everything they cook shows the care and execution of the type of bistro folks will continue to return for. Do not judge this book by its cover. This place knows what it is doing. Excellent service and food!

THIS PLACE IS SOOO GOOD! my boyfriend and I love going here for saturday/sunday brunch. its a great place to eat it when you want some different unique options. the mimosas are to die for. you only need 1 and your good! it s kinda smaller so sitting outside especially when it s nice out is really enjoyable. I ve always loved my servers and I hope the expand one day!

They have probably the best chicken sandwich Ive had in Longview. Their brisket eggrolls were really good, too. Casie and Amanda were attentive, kind, and make a good sangria. You could tell they were legitimately excited about the quality of the food they serve and for good reason. Cant wait to try their chicken masala . Some liquor cocktails would be nice, but otherwise, I dont have much constructive criticism. Vegetarian options: Their Buddha bowl was solid.

I have never called out a business like this, but it s something I feel like I have to do. I have worked for Scotties-Bistro for the past year and a half, for a year everything was great. I have stayed through all the craziness that happened with switching management and team members. I went on vacation with my parents at the end of September and received a message saying there needs to be a meeting when I come back. Of course I was panicking and when I went into said meeting I felt talked down to and bullied. Yes everyone can work on things but for you to say to me your business is picking up so I guess that will be your first priority so we are going to start treating you like you are our second priority it is completely disgusting. I should have walked away then because I knew in my mind that was not how someone should talk to you. I was told I would only be on Sundays working and so I finally started taking my business seriously (never took off for my business and never put it over my job) and I filled my Saturdays up with trade shows. Then they took me off of the schedule for one week just to do it. The communication is completely horrible. Anytime I text or message I NEVER get a response until a week or so later. I have been so stressed out and walking on eggshells and I am just fed up with it. This last Sunday I celebrated my birthday with my regulars at work and I got this message after I got home. So you can no longer have regulars even if a customer asks for you they are now going to be told they can t have the server they want. After this I made a Facebook post thanking everyone for making my day at work (only customers) and I get taken off the schedule for making a post on MY Facebook. I m tired of the nonsense and drama and I just wanted to show everyone exactly what kind of company this is.

The food was amazing! The friend that went with me has Celiac disease, but she was able to enjoy her food gluten free. She had an important call to take and stepped out to answer her call. It was seconds after, that our food arrived. She was on that call for about 5 minutes when our waitress came to ask if we were ready for our ticket. She clearly could see that we havent touched our food, but all I could say was that I didnt know. We had started eating, and we had to ask a different server to refill my drink. This server then asks if we can go ahead and pay because the previous server is leaving and will like to close her tips. It was awkward and very much unprofessional to ask to tip on a service we had not received. I mentioned that I would tip the current server speaking to me since she was going to take care of us, but she then said she wouldnt get the tip since she was the manager. Even more awkward and most unprofessional!!! Needless to say I paid and I did tip, but not what I usually tip because I felt pressured to do so. It is a shame that the delicious food was paired with such unprofessional service. The manager mentioned an I apologize, but the experience was already ruined.

I had the chicken club, and chicken was horrible, undercooked, and way overseasoned. I told the waitress, and she just said she would let the kitchen know. First time here, and I dont think I will return. Edited to add: Im not sure how to respond to the owners reply other than to edit my original review. She must have been mistaken. I was with two other women who could both confirm neither replacement or discount was offered. I removed the chicken from one half and ate it as a BLT. The second half had the chicken removed but was whole. Again, maybe she was thinking of someone else. I simply gave an honest review of MY experience. Although I have heard great things about the food, that was not my experience today. Furthermore, I find it unprofessional for you, the owner, to get so defensive.

Was very disappointed in their breakfast today . I ordered chicken and waffles . I ve never tried their breakfast as of yet just dinner . I left a wonderful review last time . Today was horrible ! I had a waffle that was so dry you couldn t even eat it . Made me wonder if it was stale and reheated . Never in my whole life have I ve had to complain about a waffle . That s the easy part . I told waitress but she seemed like she didn t even want to be working there let alone deal with dry waffles . I wasn t rude to her by any means just let her know the waffle was so dry I couldn t eat it . She suggested more syrup. I told her I m diabetic that wouldn t be an option for me . Butter I said ? That did not help either . I gave up since waitress was not offering to take plate back to make softer waffles . Guess Scottie s isn t as good as bragged before .how do you screw up waffles ? Seriously were they old and reheated ? I can t return after this because the service was just as bad .

Im usually very reserved on giving places 5 stars. I didnt question giving this place 5/5 stars for a moment. The food was spectacular. We sat in outdoor seating and were all smiles even during a thunderstorm. The Texas Red Dirt Country music made us feel very much at home being not only a foodie, but an aficionado of music. My family really appreciates good food at a fair price, and Scotties hit in on the head with a sledgehammer. Seriously, its unlike anywhere else in this area. This place is a diamond in the rough for East Texas. The market around here is saturated with Mexican food, cajun food, seafood, and burger joints, and it was refreshing to finally find a place that offered something different but familiar. While I havent had dinner here, the brunch was delightful. Theres plenty to choose from and rest assured anything with Nashville hot chicken is simply to die for. The grits, home fries, sweet potato fries, and other Indian and Cajun inspired cuisine was portioned well and very delicious. We cant wait to return!

I had brunch on a Sunday, and it was busy, but we didnt wait long for a table. I got a waffle, and my wife got the blt. The bread on the blt was over-toasted to the point of being hard but was still edible. The waffle was a bit hard as well and didnt have that softness and crispness combination you expect of a good waffle. The blt had eggs served on it, as it was a breakfast blt. We opted for poached eggs, and they were poached wonderfully. Coffee was good. Most of their dining space appeared to be outside, which is a pleasant patio area facing the parking area. Its strange that a nice restaurant such as Scotties is connected to a gas station, albeit a nice one. Parking: Overflow parking is available on unpaved grass area adjacent to regular parking lot.

I come to Scottie s often. So this upsets me to have to leave this review after todays visit. Today is Mother s Day && I planned a nice brunch outing with family and friends. I had been there since 11:46 AM didn t get seated until 1PM !! While waiting impatiently, I was told that my table was getting cleaned off at first. Then 15 more minutes went by I was told I was waiting for payout from other customers. Another 15 minutes went by still unseated. I then asked the hostess what was going on then another excuse was given of there were reservations . Remind you, I had invited a friend that showed up AFTER me. And she was seated before. I watched at least 4 parties seated before me that came AFTER me. I was rudely told that I had been changing my party size multiple times. When I only added 1 more to my table of 3 ONCE !! I ve already had an incident where $10 was taken from my card after paying a cash tip. I didn t make a big deal because it was later refunded but also blamed on another employee when I know exactly who I done my payout with. Please have better customer service even when it is busy.

I had heard about this place a few times but didnt know where it was. I happened to stop for gas and saw it and decided to give a try. The staff was friendly. The outdoor eating area had a very nice feel. It was clean. 4-5 star. If the weather isnt cooperative there is limited inside seating. I ordered a chicken gyro. I could tell it was quality fresh ingredients. However, it was so salty that my tongue is still raw 3 hours later. I think if there was a lot less salt I would have given it a 5 star gyro review but as it was... a 2. I had regular fries. Again they appeared very fresh. However, they add sugar to the fries. . Definitely not palatable. I didnt eat more than a couple and wouldnt order again. Maybe you can ask for nothing on them. 2 star but without the seasoning.... probably 4 Not sure I would try again. Since I cant respond to owner.... If that is normal salt... would not try again. I gave the fries to someone else whose first comment was why is there sugar on them? and I had not told them that I thought they were sweet. Is it possible the wrong seasoning was put on them?

When for an early lunch the food was amazing our server was a delight I can see how it can get so busy they are doing their best to keep up with the influx of customer so please show grace to this wonderful establishment. The chef is A1 and if you have no taste for cultural food and arent willing to try something new cause you have the pallet of a toddler this isnt the place for you! Keep up the amazing service and food it much more then some gas station restaurant. Also we have the Ramen and butter chicken so good the egg rolls and drinks where great and the extra menu that changes is amazing the change the atmosphere to accommodate that menu which is such a unique touch plus the growing of their herbs next to their flowers.

The menu is limited, its attached to a gas station, and the chief cooks with great passion. Most dishes are spicy and use a lot of seasoning, it is not food that everyone will enjoy if you dont like complex flavors. Update: Met for weekday lunch with family, so we got to try the lunch and dinner menu. The Oaxaca grilled cheese, paneer sandwich, and fish sandwich are all delicious! There are many other options that we look forward to trying as well. Had brunch here with my parents - they had driven by many times and noticed the cute little patio was always full. We decided to try it out and were not disappointed! My dad said his burger was excellent, and had a perfectly fried egg on it. I tried the eggs Benedict with a curried hollandaise sauce, which was delicious. Our meals came with seasoned roasted potatoes, which were also very good. We enjoyed sitting on the patio as well. Looking forward to our next visit!

First time there and my first impressions. Outside patio seating is expansive and fully covered from the elements. Indoors the restaurant is quaint with some interesting and subtle art and decorations. I was cheerfully greeted by the staff and shown to my table. Some different and interesting choices for breakfast, which of course I must try. It was a mixing of UK and India breakfast cuisine for me and wow! It was tasty and delightful. Prices are reasonable and the service was wonderful. Ill definitely be back and will recommend.

So this happened today at Scotties bistro in Longview....A friend and I went to eat, we ordered, she got a sandwich plate and I ordered fries. When it was time to pay they had put an extra $5 charge on the bill because we cut the sandwich in half....mind you for the sandwich plate and the plate of fries the bill was already $19 with tax and nothing to drink was ordered.....I have a really big problem with greed!! This was shocking that I was expected to pay $20 for a $15 sandwich! On top of everything the owner came over to our table trying to intimidate us...raising his voice wanting to know what the problem was, he was not professional at all, he was very combative!! I know Im just one person, but he wont ever get my business again!! I would give 0 stars, but it wouldnt let me post this review, so he got 1 star!

This is OUR place! We are usually at Scottie s on Friday nights, enjoying sangria and whatever Chef Ronnie has cooked up for Fancy Fridays. I ve never had a bad meal here. I ve never had a mediocre meal here. The food is always high quality! Scottie s Bistro is a blessing to Longview. The service is always excellent. We ve loved all of our servers. It s tough to name a favorite dish because I love them all. But I really enjoy the specials on Fancy Friday and Italian Thursdays.

This is a restaurant is under the same roof as convinience store for the gas station. Horrible place to eat. Everything was of low end grade. I know expensive ingredients when I taste them. This would not pass in Dallas or Tyler as a restaurant. Whatever is in your Cuban sandwich is not a Cuban sandwich. I am Cuban and have had the real deal all my life, you need to re do and do some research. This place sucks. The drinks are prepared on the gas stations side of the building, I saw the girl doing it when I exited the bathroom from the side...there she was making gas station coffee. Instead of excuses you should be honest with people. Priced high and low end food. Horrible. $44 dollars for 1 hamburger and 1 sandwich , and fries. Lol. Will tell everyone of how you screw people. I had a maximum of maybe 10 bucks worth of food. I didnt tip. (First time ever for me). I took 1 bite and asked for a to go box. Will never return and spread the word since I see the owner giving excuses Instead of stepping up and admitting to screwing people. Horrible.

I absolutely LOVE this place. One of my summer favorites is the Tuna Poke Lettuce Wraps and the Shrimp Spring Rolls are a perfect accompaniment! The quality of food, the presentation, and the service are all OUTSTANDING! Definitely worth every penny.

First, the service was bad , our waitress was not paying attention to what we were saying ,had to repeat 2 or 3 times till she got it , she was absent or something..forgot to bring us couple things we asked for . The tap water is horrible. Second , had the Cuban sandwich..that was not a Cuban at all ,had pastrami and pulled pork in it ? And it was very salty . Third, she asked what kind of fries we want with our sandwiches but failed to mention that they were charged separately so ended up paying 6 dollars just for fries .. the sandwiches are not worth $13-$15 and not even including a side .

I really enjoyed the food! It was kind of unexpected. It is a small restaurant but they do have quite a bit of seating outside. I had the Pasta Caprese and it was so tasty and the pasta was perfectly done. I will definitely be going back!

From California and sadly I hate going to our eat cause the food sucks here . Not trying to be mean just a honest review . When you go to a Mexican food places and see a bottle of margarine on the table . It s a big no for me ! Tried Scotties after a few failed attempts to go . I m a cook myself so I appreciate good food . I was blown away ! I had a Indian dish with fenugreek leaves ( one of my favorite spices ) . The flavors were perfect !The naan tasted homemade and they used thigh chicken meat for the Indian dish which is always the best for Indian dishes because it s more tender then using chicken breast which can dry out fast . My husband had the steak dish with truffle fries . Truffle oil paired well with the Parmesan cheese . I wish Longview had more chefs like this ! If you like real food , made with real quality ingredients then this is the place to go ! The chef knows what he doing and here . Best restaurant in all of Longview . I kid you not ! I didn t get the pleasure of meeting the chef but did tell the waitress to tell him his food was amazing !

We always love Scottie s - great menu, fresh food, great service! Today Andrea was our waitress and she was amazing - friendly, attentive, sweet! 3 of us ordered the halibut and one ordered the Wednesday special Bistro Burger. All of it was FABULOUS! To get halibut here in East Texas, let alone for it to be so yummy - such a WIN! So sorry we forgot to take pics - we will next time.

I am writing this from both a customer and an employee standpoint. I was given a position as a server with Scottie s several months ago and quickly learned that this restaurant sets itself apart from the others in the area. Not only is the food outstanding but the staff and the owner were a joy to work for. I have never worked in a true from scratch kitchen before and what I ve learned in my time there both about restaurant management and good food have impacted me in my personal life and career outside the restaurant. As a single mom with 2 kids it s really hard to find a company that will support you taking care of your family as much as this one has. I was brought on full time and was able to find a job during the week while not having to be unemployed, and then they were gracious enough to let me stay and work part time as I needed. In addition I ve had to tell all my family and friends about the restaurant because the food is just that outstanding. I LOVE to eat here on my days off and frequently encourage my inner circle to come try Fancy Friday specials and brunch on the weekends. There is something on the menu for everyone. And it s all scratch made which is even better(and I mean this literally, pickled vegetables and sauces and everything). The Chef s are top notch and this is an employer that cares about their employees success. I m glad to still work here(sometimes) and I m even more excited to come eat whenever I have the opportunity. 10/10 highly recommend.

A great bistro Idea, too bad The person running the show Ronnie is a HORRIBLE PERSON TO WORK FOR, verbally abusing his employees, he runs off all of his staff and is always understaff, this man should not be over any employees, he steals tips from his waitress every day, schedules them to work and when they come in he sends his little runner to tell them to go home or haves them fire them, he has no balls to be a manager over anybody or anything! Drove an hour to be disappointed. EXTREMELY LIMITED MENU. Dont get your hopes up for brunch. The main course was sold out when we arrived (they told us they had more but were saving it for tomorrow and I offered to pay extra to get one today, which was refused). Outside of the main dish they had either spicey chicken, or breakfast items. We choose to leave, got charged for the sweet tea that was served to us, and then the owner/manager came out to see if there was anything else they could do. I explained I cant eat spicy food and I wasnt interested in breakfast in the afternoon. I mentioned I would be interested in pretty much anything else and was offered a Bloody Mary burger. After I wasnt enticed by the breakfast food he went on to explain that ingredients are expensive and I sell 120lbs of chicken a weekend and every one likes it. Im sure he will have an excuse to justify the poor experience, but leaving the options of Spicey Chicken or Breakfast as the two options is not great.

This was our first visit to Scotties. Had a group of 4 on a Sunday, so was busy, but we didnt have to wait too long to be seated. Service was outstanding and food was excellent. We were in town helping the in-laws move, but we will be back to this great restaurant with a nicely-varied menu. Great job by the entire team.
