Authentic Mexican, taco truck style food in a brick and mortar! So freakin delicious! I miss the days growing up in South Houston with a taqueria on every corner. This brought me back to my childhood! I work nights and my lunch time can vary. This time I barely had time to try this place out! Came in late around closing time. The employees were very understanding and made my order quickly. The food was hot and it was absolutely delicious! I WILL be back!!! Edit: photo is when I came back! This place is amazing! They have different service and rules when there owner is there and different when the owner Rubi is not there . The guy this time went as far as saying she has sold the place which we could tell is not true . Food is decent service is bad hence the prices are considered high for me .

Really great service!! I got the Rubi s Fried Tacos with barbocoa and it was delicious. Queso was great too once you add some of the green sauce. Overall, the customer service really stood out to me, especially for an establishment in this area. Thank y all for being so hospitable!

Showed up and was told to grab a menu and the waitress would be there shortly to take our order . After she walked around us for 15mins and not even asking if we were ready to order , it was time to leave . I will never recommend this place to anyone after the horrible first time being there .

Was very disappointed with service and food. Tea was old and tasted nasty. Staff was more interested in sitting at a table talking than seeing to their customers. I will not be returning and have already put the word out to friends to not waste their time or money there.

Best Mexican food in town, for sure. Its been my favorite for a couple of years. Ive never had a bad meal here. Food is delicious, all the meats are great, staff has always been friendly, and the spicy red sauce goes great on everything. I always leave happy :)

Great place. But not one to come back. Gave it a few tries to see if it was the day. Didn t change. Service is okay but they talk too much smack when you refuse to try plates they suggest. She said if you don t like caldo go somewhere else. If you don t want to try it or don t like eating it it s up to you right? Cooks are very rude and awful. Both ladies. Establishment has potential just needs to be ran better.

Too long to serve coffee. Aguas frescas announced as 32oz for 4.99 usd, served in a 22oz cup. Carne al pastor looks like ground beef instead of chopped steak. We ask for chilaquiles rojos they brought verdes instead, no intensions to fix the order. We finished eating, and coffee did not show up, probably due Easter Sunday

Absolute wonderful food. The fried tacos with that dipping liquid is a must try. Their elote is under the dessert menu. The corn is sweet and delicious! The staff is very friendly and asked us several times if we needed anything. They are working on getting their liquor license and that will just make this place even better. Beer and tacos = happiness!

Me and a buddy from work go there a few times a week just for their fried tacos with consomé. (birria tacos). They are hands down THE best spot in longview, and have some of the nicest staff. If you havent tried them out yet, you are missing out. Theyre also working on their liquor license, so will also be selling beer soon. Added bonus? Theyre located right next to target, so if you get drug to target often by your wife like me, going here directly after makes it all worth it.

It s sad because this restaurant has a ton of potential. It s very spacious and modern, but the food was awful. My tacos were greasy and cold. They served me what I assume was canned queso and it was freezing. Then I watched them put a giant bowl in a microwave then serve it to me again and it was lumpy. Chips tasted like bad oil. It was relatively cheap on a Tuesday but we were the only ones in there from 5 pm - 5:45. Not a single person came in during what should be a busy time. That tells you all you need to know. I really hope they get it together with the cooking because this place could be great.

This place is amazing i moved out here a year ago and found this place everytime I come here food get better and better owner always changes the look of the restaurant to make it more comfortable to eat here. I have never in my life written a review for a restaurant but after todays experience I felt it absolutely necessary. I ordered birria, 3 tacos with 3 different meats, enchiladas and horchata. Every single meat in every single item was overwhelming evident of warmed up leftover meat. Extremely dried out with the leftover meat taste. The birria sauce was oily beyond imagine and smelled revolting. I took a a single bite of everything , hoping that with each item maybe it would be better. It was not. Extremely disappointing. Best thing was the horchata. That was the only positive.

The food was good, and the salsa was really good. The only complaint I have is you gotta pay for the chips and salsa even when you order food from here and eat here. It comes in a tiny bowl. They should atleast give you a bottle to refill your salsa if you gotta pay for it.

After reading all the good reviews, I think my expectations were just a little high. I came at 5:30 so I was expecting the food to be dinner rush fresh. Everything was really dry. I got three chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. The beans were fine. The chicken inside the enchilada was extremely dried out, and instead of traditional red enchilada sauce, it looks like they melted a slice of American cheese on the top of the enchiladas. The rice had peas and carrots in it like Chinese rice and was dry. Service was lackluster. The best thing was the Diet Coke.

Second time here, both have been great! The machete tacos were not what I have seen in other places,but they taste excellent. Red Pork was really good ( Im coming again to try the green). Menudo is not for everyone, but you should try it just for the broth. The service here is great. Very friendly staff. This place is super clean. Highly recommend!

The restaurant was very clean and staff was very friendly which I appreciated, however my husband and I had nachos and were very disappointed. There was very little queso and all the other ingredients were cold. We were asked how it was and we said fine not wanting to cause a problem. Guess we should have been honest. My salsa tasted like vinegar.

Finally found a Mexican restaurant in Longview that I will certainly visit often! Fresh flavors, great spices, new choices regularly, and even the sauces are fantastic! I had the quesadillas. They were pretty good and well prepared. I was the only customer for a little while but it did pick up a little before I left. The prices are a little high and the restaurant is operated a little like an outside town gas station. There were 4 signs on the windows - two special signs for the same street tacos, an event sign and a bathrooms for customers only sign. Someone should say traffic begats traffic. If you want people to notice your restaurant, a lot of cars out front and people going in and out of your business is a good thing regardless of reason.

Placed a Togo order before heading to work,didnt realize there was no cheese on nachos.called up there a lady said I left it on counter,no mam the guy brought me my food to table. I will be completely honest, my wife and I got a torta and were completely disappointed. For a taco shop I think you should have some authentic flavor not Kraft cheese squares. Checked out the new taco shop. Texas quesadilla with amazing flavor. Fried chimichanga (Massive chimichanga) with a crispy shell, creamy refried beans, moist rice, flavorful chicken, and smothered in a creamy (not overly spicy) queso. We will be back, and looking forward to finding them on Waitr.
