I had been passing by this restaurant for a long time. Always wanted to try it. So I sd well try somewhere different today. So we came to Jocelyn. Nooooo one greeted us when we entered. There were only two customers. Not busy at all. They looked at us like we were inferior. So we walked to d counter asked d cashier if we needed to b seated. Because its our first time there. He sd sit wherever yall want. We ordered our food. It took about 30 minutes for our food. I ordered the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. It was disgusting. Everything was completely burned on the bottom of the sizzling pan. The bottom side of the meat and veggies were completely black. It smelled horrible. My daughter has asthma. Almost cut her breath off....she ordered the cheese bacon fries. And d steak nachos. The fries were cold, very greasy and the cheese was hard and very stringy. Her nachos were disgusting as well. We were completely disappointed and dissatisfied....we showed our food to the server. He looked at it and humped his shoulders and walked away. We thought he would get someone to speak with us....we sat there for bout 15 min. No one came to our table. So I called a different waitress over. We showed her our food. She even agreed it looked bad. We told her that we spoke to another person about it....He was wiping off tables. He just walked away. Never can back. We showed her d guy we talked to. She replied oh hes the manager. I sd OMG really. We sat there a couple more minutes. No one came to our table. So we left. Extremely disappointed.Terrible service and food......WE WILL DEFIANINTLY NEVERRRRR GO THERE AGAIN

Didnt like my food at all, I took one bite off the nachos and didnt like it. The beans dont even look like beans, pretty sure theyre not supposed to be that dark. The guacamole didnt look fresh either. Service was slow and when my mom said her fajita meat was burnt, the manager mumbled something then walked away and never came back to the table. We had to call someone else over only to find out that he was the manager. I also asked him a few questions about some things on the menu and he pondered for a bit too long as if he didnt know, but hes the manager. We ended up walking out because noone ever came back to speak with us. I also ordered cheese fries. The fries werent fresh and the cheese was not cheesy. I asked for a side of queso cheese to try and make it somewhat better, but that wasnt good either. We didn t eat any of our food at all. Anyway, overall, if I didnt have to rate a star, I wouldnt. Wont be back here anytime soon! 0/10

The location is nice, it s very creative on the inside but the food was not worth it at all. I asked for a Torta of milanesa, which I am very big about. They gave me a brioche bun with a chicken patty that you get from great value.. The tacos were semi decent. I asked for salsa and they gave me only one cup of salsa for 5 tacos. I asked the guy who took my order, what kind of taco meat did they have. He didn t give me a straight answer, he didn t even know his own menu. I speak English and Spanish very fluent. My question wasn t hard. Prices are too high for the food quality, would never go here ever again.

My wife was raving about this place but after we ate there today she was more upset than anything. The waitress was great even tho you could tell she was new. The food on the other hand. The queso was nothing more than watered down nacho cheese from a can. The shrimp was horrible and overcooked. The Tacos al pastor were horrible so much pineapple you couldnt even taste the marinated meat. The salsa was watered down and the rice and beans had absolutely zero flavor. Like I said before great service. Really bad food. If I could give a negative rating I would. And ive eaten at so many different mom n pop family owned Mexican restaurants so to find one that put zero effort into their food is upsetting.

My colleagues and I were looking for a new place to try. Seen great views but my experience is far from it. My fajitas were very dry, beans were burnt. When placing the call the man I spoke with was pleasant. We noticed the prices weren t the same as quoted over the phone and called back spoke with some one else and she stated she would adjust the price. I totally understand inflation and how it works but if you told me one thing over the phone and once I get there you charge me a whole 3 bucks more for my food is malarkey. I paid 13-14 bucks for what is supposed to be a lunch special that was 11.49. If the prices aren t updated online when placing an order and it was bought up to restaurant and you state you will correct the error and did not. I will left my people know that the food is mediocre and the service sucks!!!! Waste of money!!!

We have been wanting to try this place for years. We walked in, and no one greeted us. It seemed like they were surprised we were there. We pointed to a table, and they nodded and said we could sit wherever. We sat down, and our waitress was hard to understand. It was a mix of speaking softly and with a hard accent. Got water to drink and Longview water or this part of Longviews water is not good. So my wife got a diet coke. They have delicious and fresh chips, and they bring out their salsa. It wasnt amazing, but they do have an alternate green salsa that was better and fresh. You have to get upon request. Definitely recommend that. We got the triple dip appetizer, but do not recommend it. It was basically an avocado smoothie and mac and cheese sauce x2. I ordered the Carne asada Torta and 5 street tacos(asada and chorizo mix), and my wife ordered the Pastor Gorditas. It took 45 minutes to get our food, there were only 2 customers in the restaurant at 11am. Us larger people had eaten 3 baskets of chips while we waited and were VERY tempted to leave as we were pretty much full.... it finally came out, and it was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well seasoned food. My wife loved her Gorditas, she tried them for the first time, and the AL Pastor was EXTREMELY juicy. This is like a tex-mex place but has a secret authentic Mexican side that they dont really push to us gringos. But definitely recommend that part of their menu.

They have margaritas that are pretty decent and complimentary. My husband ordered the Carne asada special ($13.99) on Friday. It comes with Carne asada, spicy chicken enchiladas, rice, and beans. It was amazing and I will order that next time. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and I was very disappointed. The shrimp came out barely warm and overcooked. It was rubbery and chewy. The charro beans are always delicious. Next time, I will order the Carne asada and charro beans.

Had the seafood enchiladas not bad, but should have grilled the seafood, then put it into the enchiladas. Also, whatever sauce they used for the salad they serve with it should be what they topped off the main dish with, and they should try putting it on their fish tacos. Lots of good potential with the food. Great service. I hope they can improve!

Hardly had any people in here but the tables are all filthy the waitress is very rude, has to constantly be reminded about what you want and not friendly, you ask for something and she ignores you or dont bring it back and when she does bring it back she brings it back with an attitude.

The food was the best Mexican food weve had in a while- and we eat out a LOT. The service was also just as good. We live 45 minutes away from the restaurant and we will definitely make the drive again, just to eat here. Highly recommend!!

We went to Jocelyns for the first time today. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. My husbands avocado enchiladas were especially good and I will be getting them when I go again!

Depending on what you order its a hit or miss if its good. My niece ordered the kids meal chicken nuggets and those nuggets were as hard as rock. If you picked two up and put them together like you were playing the cymbals you could audibly hear a tap tap sound. She couldnt eat a one but she loved the fries I ordered the sopes and they were decent...not the best that Ive had. Theres another place in Longview that makes them woth much better flavor. This is your typical tex mex place with a few different dishes you cant find at other tex mex restaurants. Salsa is fresh but has very little hear but it tasted good for a no heat salsa. Service was okay. Our waitress wasnt the quickest on chip refills or drink refills... there were several times we needed both and waited for a good bit before either was replenished. Overall its a decent place, but I cant say its a place thats high on our list of must go back

The food was great. They dont have their soda machine up and running yet so the soda I got was flat. But other than that it was great service. I need to try more on the menu before I decide how much I like it or not.

So this is the first time I have ever been here and to be honest the place for me was pretty good. Met with my aunt for a late lunch wasnt very busy place was pretty clean atmosphere was nice was a little strange they only played music by Allen Jackson but whatever at least it was good music. So other than having to wait for a really long time despite the fact that they werent all that busy service was ok. It kinda seemed like our waitress was trying really hard not to be rude but some of the ways she was acting was low key rude. My food was pretty decent ordered the cheese enchiladas with guacamole and sour cream my aunt ordered the beef fajita nachos no beans extra guac. So like I said my order came out ok my aunts food however did not. The first time her order came out she didnt get any of her guac let alone the extra she ordered. Next half of her nacho plate was chicken when she had specificly ordered beef normally not a big deal but my aunt has a thing about white meat chicken she doesnt eat it so it was a little disappointing to say the least. When we explained what happened to the waitress she went to find the problem and when she came back said that the wrong button had been pressed and apologized but it took them another at least ten to fifteen minutes to bring out another very small portion of beef fajita nachos for my aunt with beans which she requested not be on the nachos and they only did this after my aunt started to ask what would be done since her order was wrong. I felt bad for the waitress it kinda seemed like maybe she had been having a long day and we where there till closing but at the same time she seemed completely fine to hang around another booth with people I assume she knew since she kept sitting with them. She wasnt terribly quick to refill our drinks and seemed slightly upset when my aunt was trying to talk to her about her order being wrong but like I said it could have just been a really long day for her. Over all I would like to try this place again however I think I might try and go at an earlier time. After everything was said and done place was pretty nice and Im willing to give it a second chance its definitely got its corkyness about it but I think given the right circumstances it could be quite charming in its own way.

2nd time here. First time was about a month ago, mid day during the week. We were seated and served quickly and food was good. Chicken enchiladas full of flavor. Was excited to return. Today s experience, not even the same restaurant I don t think. Stale, greasy chips- no refills of chips (which is fine as they were no good) or salsa during our 30 min wait as the waitress never returned to our table after taking our order until our food was close to being delivered. They were busy as it is Sunday after church. That s also a known busy time that restaurants prepare in advance for. Zero..ZERO spice, salt, flavor of any kind. Even with salsa doused on everything- no good. We ate a few bites and left as our 1 year old was losing patience after having finished her meal 30 min prior. Sadly, I m not much on second chances. I get you re short staffed. But, this is also a tiny restaurant with Tele s quality food- doesn t take long to prepare. It s unfortunate we had a good experience the first time and won t be returning.

Its ok but not great. Our waitress was great.... until our plates got to table. After that, no refills on tea, salsa, etc. Had to go up to cashier to get our bill. Think she had someone she knows come in because she sat in their booth. Oh yeah, her child was there and running through the dining room while shes trying to make him stop. Long drive, not cheap, service inconsistent. I can get that anywhere and cheaper. Gave them a chance because El sombrero is closed on sundays. Adios Jocelyns.

We have been here twice and the food is very very good- and that too at a great price! However, the service is not up to par- the waitress hardly checked in on us (both visits) and the food comes out slow. For a restaurant that serves great food- this small change could lead to great results!

New location and the staff is struggling. We waited to be seated as others were seated before us. Wife and kids food was good. I ordered the fajita nachos and Im pretty sure they were ready our entire 40 minute wait for the food. Our server was amazing and the management comped our appetizer and removed mine as I sent them back. We will definitely give them another chance after they settle into their new location.
