1.We ordered morning breakfast for a function, idly , pongal , vadai, sambar, 2 type of chutney, the taste was awesome typical north tamil nadu or chennai taste . Quantity also was very good. 2. The a la carte order of briyani and chicken 65 was also great, briyani is made of siraga samba rice. Great food and taste overall, highly recommended

No complaints with Service( as its mostly for take-out) and atmosphere, but food quantity, price and taste were sub-par. Veg items were basically hit or miss, Non veg was a disaster. Like few others have reviewed, Chicken Biriyani tasted like curry rice with hardly any flavor, all chicken items including the ones from biriyani were not properly cooked, they were rubbery and pink, mutton biriyani hardly had any mutton pieces and gravy items had much to be desired. Kara Kuzhambu tasted like Tamarind rice paste and Vatha Kuzhambu had too many Sundakkai. Yes, some of their veg items are good - Tomato chutney, Rasam, Poriyals, Koottu but expensive. Overall, they seem to use quality ingredients but need to improve especially with non-veg items.

This is a good place that recently opened in Little Elm/Frisco location. The best reason to get the food here is healthy and hygienic food especially if you are a Vegetarian, since the options are abundant. (Veg Poriyal, kootu, Kuchambu, Rasam to name a few). They are health conscious - add minimum salt, use peanut oil (not a refined one) and do not use food coloring agents/Ajinomoto etc. that is a norm with many other Indian places. The food is of South Indian (Tamil Nadu) style. On the contrary, taste and quality of non-vegetarian items can be improved.

We ordered idly, Vada, Idyappam with Kurma and Mutton biriyani - all of which tasted really good. The food is fresh, and we felt Sindhu s Kitchen is a place of love and tradition, where each meal is prepared with the extreme care that a mother would put into her cooking. Also we tried snacks Ghee MysorePak, Murukku, Athirasam, and Poli. Every bite of the snacks was a journey back home, filled with warmth, comfort, and cherished memories. Whether you crave for the familiar taste of moms cooking or wish to experience the authentic south Indian home cuisine, this place offers that unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this place to anyone who values the Quality, love & compassion that goes into making every dish special.

I discovered this place yesterday on DD. I ordered the Rasaam and Sambar. Incredible. First time I had either of these items where it was comparable to home cooking. Not just the taste, but the freshness and quality of the preparation. I was so impressed I decided to put in a much larger order today and will enjoy with my family tonight for dinner. Although I have not tried today s order, the quality and care of packaging was evident they take tremendous pride and care in their product. The food definitely surpasses any eye test! Will update the post after we eat tonight.

Food portions are very less. Taste is bad. Order thali all porting is like for 4 years old Reply : added full picture. 1st you dont accept your mistakes. great way I tried to call to store before posting the review. Manager is not available and employee says he will ask him or her to call. 2nd portions you might be correcting getting very standard meal plate. But other restaurant use small portion for pickle or salad you guys use for curry. Plate may be standard but where you keep items in the plate matters. 3rd 1 spoon of curry for veg meal is not appreciated by any one. 4th temple style tamarind rice dont have spice or salt or taste to it. I feel the taste is flat 5th sweet of the day tasted well but it have lumps all over Yes we are two people ordered 2 veg thali and 1 tamarind rice with no proper portion and taste kept us be hunger untill we cook something again. Hate to write this big review but you guys dont accept your mistake rather say customers wrong. I know sometimes customer is wrong but not always and honor review calls or honor reviews.

I recently tried their fish curry and fish fry at this restaurant, and I was blown away by the authentic South Indian flavors! The dishes tasted just like homemade food, and the quality was top-notch. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the curry had just the right amount of spice. If youre a fish lover like me, you have to try it for yourself. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. The service was also friendly.

While my kids never used to enjoy Adirasam and ghee Mysorepak, Sindhu s sweets and snacks have completely won them over. They now prefer Sindhu s snacks over any store-bought options. The daily lunch menu is consistently fresh and flavorful, reminds me of my mom s home cooking. For anyone seeking daily fresh and healthy South Indian cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend Sindhu s restaurant. Vegetarian options: One of the best places to enjoy authentic South Indian food. Most importantly the food is very fresh so it is easier to enjoy it with kids. I would strongly recommend to visit to enjoy a family meal.

I am writing this review after getting food from here at least 8 to 10 regular snack, evening snack, lunch and dinner items. Being very impressed by the authenticity of South Indian Food (especially that of Tamil Nadu) and their customer service, we catered from here BOTH for breakfast and lunch from here for our house warming ceremony. We had around 11 kids and 19 adults. Everybody loved it and especially none of the kids were fussy. The owner couple are so good at what they do with quality, taste, hygiene and most importantly understand your cultural background and customize food according to your taste buds. As I am typing this comment, I am on my way to pick up idiyappam and kurma. Idiyappam is a MUST HAVE. You dont know what is freshly made from scratch idiyappam is, until you had it from Sindhus. For anybody reading this to understand how much I can vest my health and taste to Sindhus here are some of the items I had here and I absolutely loved it for its taste and pure quality: 1. Idiyappam 2. Adhirsam 3. Pongal (must eat) 4. Onion podi uthappam 5. Idli 6. Sambar 7. Arachuvitta tiffin Sambar 8. Pineapple Kesari 9. Rasam 10. Onion and plantain bajji 11. Medhu vada 12. Masala vada 14. Authentic kumbakonam degree coffee 15. Badam milk 16. Rose milk 17. Thattai 18. White and spicy murukku 19. Paruppu urunda kozhambu 20. Garlic Vattha Kuzhambu 22. Paruppu thuvaiyal 23. Mint thuvaiyal 24. Mullangi (Radish) thuvaiyal 25. ASHOKA halwa 26. Paruppu payasam Theres a surprise unique way they offer catering service and this is the first time I have seen it done in catering in the whole of USA. I wont break that surprise and you have to order to see for yourself. Food is always served piping hot (temperature)

This is a take out only restaurant that offers traditionally prepared authentic tasting south indian niche menu. Many of the items in their daily menu and snacks menu are unique and only available back in India. We got their Veg biryani which tasted so authentic to what we had during our childhood days in India, with fried crispy bread pieces. My family loved the brinjal salna that they gave on the side. We could eat this anyday everyday if possible. Also brought home their paneer butter masala and brinjal gravy, their spice levels are very similar to that in India as well, which is why they awaken your taste buds. All the items in their food and snacks menu are made with clean ingredients and fresh oil, unlike other restaurants they dont reuse their cooking oil so we dont have to restrict ourselves from eating our hearts full. Definitely try them out if you re in the area. Their store is pretty new and local patrons need to support them in order for small businesses offering authentic food continue to serve the area.

Their food was so yummy it became a hit at the party, everyone enjoyed all the items especially their sambar with drumstick, eggplant and mango, even the kids loved the food and went for multiple rounds, especially their warm gulab jamun which paired well with vanilla icecream. We got their veg biryani, salna, raita, gobi 65, mix veg sambar, potato fry, okra fry, rice, appalam and gulab jamun. Even their appalam was crispy and stayed that way all day. All the food trays were labelled and well packed for the drive back home. Thanks to sindhu s for making our housewarming a memorable occassion.
