Sea bass, no flavor. Side veg was so small. 1, 2 inch skinny piece of asparagus and 1 small bite of broccoli. I dont think they were cooked and No seasoning. Potato soup was pureed, and was to have bacon. Maybe 4 so small I really didnt know I ate them. Didnt taste like potatoes. Grossly over rated and priced. I get the best Salmon dinner at Boomer Jacks half the price. Everything else was perfect. Amazing wait staff.

We absolutely LOVED our dinner at Bistecca last night! We enjoyed the King crab special, crab soup, carpaccio, and two delicious mocktails! Chrissy was the BEST server with such a fun personality, and Chef David & Chef Morris stopped by our table to chat. Food was beyond delicious, service excellent and fun atmosphere! Bistecca! Italian style steak and seafood, white tablecloth, subdued lighting, and classic jazz playing. The Good: The food quality is excellent and the wait staff are very professional, attentive and friendly. Bistecca is one of our favorite places. Prices are very agreeable for the quality. The Bad: It can be loud and crowded at busy times. I recommend going on a weeknight. Overall, we definitely recommend Bistecca for a romantic dinner or a wonderful white tablecloth dinner with friends. My thanks to Beau for an excellent experience.

The service was amazing! The waitstaff addressed us by name and congratulated us on our 29th anniversary. The She-Crab soup & Grotto Meatballs were delicious as starters. The Veal Oscar and Beef Terderloin Medallions were cooked to perfection with ample sized portions. The only disappointment was the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was 3 brownie bites complete with nuts and drenched with overly sweet chocolate sauce. I have ordered this dessert everywhere from Seattle to New York and from Cape Town to London and never has it had chopped nuts in it.

We were invited to Bistecca for dinner by friends. It was our first time there but I had read the reviews so my expectations were kinda high. When we got there, our friends wouldn t stop raving about it so I was excited to try everything. The reviews and our friends were right, everything was spot on, the food was so flavorful & made exactly how I wanted it- I had the veal Oscar but I had it blackened & it was delicious & perfectly seasoned/cooked. Our friends ordered the steak Salerno as an appetizer and it was very good. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi, also delicious. The portions are a good size, we both had leftovers. For dessert we had crème brûlée & 1 of their servers (Sara) bakes amazing cakes so they had fresh peaches & cream (I think) cake which was also very good. Oh and we also had a dessert soufflé, which was so light and perfect. Our server Kaleel (I hope I m not butchering his name) was a gem & made sure everything was perfect. The manager also visited our table multiple times to make sure everything was to our liking & we were enjoying our time. Overall we had an amazing time & can t wait to go back. Writing this as I m eating my leftovers lol even reheated the food is still really good. Def worth a visit.

I havent been back to Bistecca in 2 years. My wife and I used to love this restaurant. But we wont be back. Service was slow and sporadic. Cant make a lemon drop martini correctly. Had to ask for my drinks 4 different times. The Prime N.Y. Strip was tough and hard to slice. And not very moist or tender. The Ceasar salad was boring. The crust on my wifes strawberry pie was very dry and tasteless. $320 for a subpar dining experience. Just isnt acceptable. We love you and your staff, Morris. But we cant come back.

Bistecca is a gem. Hidden to some, frequented by others. The menu is extensive and every dish is prepared perfectly. My Aunt, visiting from Colorado for her birthday with my uncle wanted to go to a special place for her birthday dinner. Given their travel schedule she wanted to get a reservation for the day before her actual birthday. Unfortunately, she made the reservation for her actual birthday - and when we showed up they said we were 24 hours early. Despite it being a full house on a Saturday night, the manager was able to secure us a table and did so very quickly, despite the restaurant being packed. The manager is incredibly attentive, thanking guests for visiting - he takes pride in his work and it shows. The wait staff were also incredible. I highly recommend the beef Salerno - it s ridiculously good. I had the osso buco and I m still thinking about it a week later. From the service, to the food, to ambiance - you can t go wrong with Bistecca.

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary a couple weeks early. With kids and an elderly MIL, you take the time when it presents itself. We were seated within minutes of our reservation. The person who seated us wished us a happy anniversary. Tristan our server, was at our table within a minute or so to take out drink orders and fill out water glasses. I had their version of an Old Fashioned with muddled berries. My wife does not drink so had a Mocktai called the Designated Driver. Both were fantastic. Atmosphere was nice and romantic. Even in the wide open, we felt secluded in our little corner. For appetizers, my mom ife had escargot, which she said was perfect. I had crab cakes, which were also cooked perfectly. Nice crispy crust on the outside and soft crab inside. For dinner I had the 20oz Bone in Ribeye and my wife had the Combo For One (South African Lobster Tail and 6oz steak fillet). Both steaks cooked to the perfect medium rare and served HOT, which is seemingly hard to do at other steak houses weve been to. Wife says the lobster and butter sauce were excellent. For the steaks, they were served with two sides. Now, Im not sorry to say that I judge a steak by its own merits. A great steak will be a great steak without any type of help. Salt and Pepper to compliment during cooking is all they should need. Im happy to say that both steaks were spectacular! Neither steak made us even consider the sauces. Both were extremely tender with good mouth feel and delicate chew. Simply great steaks and up there or exceeding any of the well known steakhouses in Texas. Dessert was amazing. We had creme brulee and the chocolate souffle. Both were made again...to perfect. Theres a theme, I know. Everything was done so perfectly, I wondered where the catch would be... No catch found. Everything was priced on menu, so I wasnt shocked by the bill. For everything we had, how fast our server Tristan was, and finally how perfect everything was made the price well worth it. 10/10 will do again.

The people who own this restaurant know how to run a business. Every detail was perfect. The chef was told it was our first visit and he sent out a couple small bites from the ap menu so we could try different things. The server was very knowledgeable about the wine list and was really sweet to my toddler that normally would get dirty looks in a fancy restaurant. They asked if it was a special occasion and it was my nanas birthday so they sent out a scumptous dessert. The seabass is phenomenal. Best Ive ever had and I can say that with confidence. The tuna grotto is amazing. My nana got a shrimp dish with pasta and that was out of this world. We just made a reservation today and hit traffic so we were going to be late. They changed the reservation for us and I know that was difficult because that time wasnt available on open door so I know they are stacked out for tonight. Im just so impressed by the over the top customer service. They really want you to have an experience. Parking: Im not sure if they have a valet because we didnt use one but they might! Well staffed and variety of dishes to sate your appetite. Our server was very attentive and helped us decide what to order by providing recommendations for a traditional steak lover and offered the Chef s special, if we are feeling adventurous. I also like the personal touch with the Chef visiting tables to acknowledge and welcome their guests. Great dining experience overall! Every dish we ordered was scrumptious and we topped off the night with this well plated and flavorful crème brûlée!

We went to Bistecca with a 7:00 reservation...at 7:30 we walked out the door, never having been seated. They did, however, somehow manage to seat a table of 10, whose reservation they could not find, almost immediately. During the course of our wait, I noticed that the patrons who had been seated prior to our arrival neither had food on their table before 7:00 or after 7:30. Other people I know have stated that the place is very overpriced for the quality of food and level of service provided but I guess Ill never know because we wont be back.

Bistecca is a favorite of my wife and I, we have been eating here for years. It is consistently delicious. The staff is always professional, friendly, and treat us amazingly well. Chef is a treasure, frequently taking time to step away from the kitchen to say hello, like we were old friends. This is exactly how a restaurant should be ran. Great food, great people, and a great dining experience year after year.

There isn t a lot I can say for this establishment that doesn t speak for itself; from the Grotto bar to the Bistecca staff and food, it was an absolute joy and pleasure to experience. We are celebrating our anniversary and decided to come to Bistecca on a recommendation from my cousin, and since it s owned by the Salerno family, we figured it was worth a try as we enjoy the name sake restaurant very much. We were not disappointed! The bar staff were friendly and gave great suggestions for drinks and food, with this being our first time we needed the help. My boyfriend and I were beyond pleased with the drinks we ordered; nothing was watered down and each one had a great flavor. The bar staff are skilled and take care in making the drinks here! Our food order was delicious, from the soup, salad, extremely fresh oysters, to the ribeye and NY strip. Everything was hot (or cold), flavorful, well seasoned and worth the price. Our server, Sarah, was a joy and pleasure to speak with and with the help from the bartender we learned that she makes a couple of the cakes for the restaurant and they are wonderful! We will absolutely be back here for a special occasion again if we are in town. In our opinion, the portions, service and quality that you get is worth the price at Bistecca. The food was good, but pricey. I felt we overpaid for lamb that was very fatty, and though the garlic potatoes are good, I can get those anywhere. There were also like 5 or 6 of the scrawniest asparagus Id ever seen, but they were prepared well. The salad and crab cakes we had for appetizers were excellent. The dessert we had was very interesting and I enjoyed it very much; some kind of toffee crisp tower filled with mousse. It was Valentines day so packed and extremely noisy, but the restaurant was appointed nicely for an older building.

I have to say that this restaurant surprises! The quality and taste of the cuisine is outstanding. We can to Bistecca for a financial presentation and we were not expecting much, as these things are usually done on a limited budget. My wife chose the Sea Bass and I had the fillet. Wow! So flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked! We couldn t have asked for more (maybe a little more generous portion of asparagus). So the meal totally exceeded our expectations, and we will return to sample other items in the future.

My husband and I visited Bistecca for our Valentines dinner (even though we went the day before). The restaurant was decorated very cute for Vday and the atmosphere was great. I ordered the carmel kisses old fashion and it was fantastic! We both had the beef tenderloin and it was cooked to perfection! Delicious. And our server, Sara, was wonderful. She was very attentive and made a great recommendation with my drink! :) We will be back soon to try dessert as it looked heavenly!! Thanks for a nice night out.

Celebrated 3 birthdays and an anniversary, between the 6 of us, at the finest dinning experience north of Dallas. This level of food and service is worth the drive from any location in the metroplex. Nice place, but not great. Steak was just ok. It had a slightly sweet sauce on it and I dont care for sweets on steak. It also needed salt but there was no salt shaker on the table and the waiter disappeared until dessert after delivering our food. Dessert was unremarkable, somewhat dry cheesecake.

I just recently celebrated my 34th wedding anniversary with a wonderful dinner and experience at Bistecca. Such a great place to dine; exceptional atmosphere and service. Even Chef Morris Salerno came out to say hello to us as we dined along with visiting other diners. This place wont disappoint; highly recommend. Fantastic experience tonight! Really impressed, dinner was outstanding. The wait staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The atmosphere was really great... I wasnt sure what to expect from the outside of the building, but once we got inside I really enjoyed the ambiance & overall atmosphere. Now on to the food... Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed my steak. It was cooked correctly, had a great seared crust on it, and was a nice cut. Flavorful, and handled well by the kitchen. There was a sauce, which always makes me a little nervous (afraid theyre trying to cover up mediocrity), but it was NOT drenched in it... It was subtle, an embellishment. And it worked well! Great flavor, and portioned such that I could get some when I wanted it, but had plenty of bites without any sauce too. The wedge salad was good. Nothing extraordinary, but I definitely enjoyed it. The asparagus was cooked au dente, and was really tasty. I wish the spears would have been a little bigger, or that there had been a few more of them, but they were great. The mashed potatoes were good as well. Again, nothing over the top or mind blowing, but I ate them all happily. The creme brulee was really good. Nice crust, great color, fresh strawberries & raspberries, and the custard itself was very tasty. Lastly, the cappuccino was actually one of my favorites. Great flavor, and not an overwhelming amount of foam... Too often you get lots of foam with a little espresso. This had a nice ratio - I actually ordered a second! Ill be back for sure... Great vibes for a nice date. Highly recommend! Edit: Corrected a few typos, most importantly that the steak was NOT drenched in sauce Parking: I just had to walk a little ways, but it was a Friday night at 7pm so it wasnt that surprising.

Bistecca is a staple of North Texas. It is BY FAR the best steakhouse in North Texas. Chef Morris is extremely talented and is always coming up with the latest and greatest recipes. My family has been frequent customers at this restaurant since it opened, and I have been going here my whole life. We love Bistecca and cannot say enough good things about it! My personal favorites - steak salerno appetizer, and the beef & crab entree! So delicious!

I have heard such great things about this place. Had a reservation and still had to wait 20-25 min for table. Took probably 30 min after that to order and receive drinks to table. Service overall not great. The other people I was with enjoyed their sea bass.. my shrimp scampi had high quality shrimp but was nothing outstanding. Really was expecting more from this restaurant and feel let down.

One of my favorite restaurants to eat at especially on special occasions. The chef is so kind and walks around to make sure his guests are enjoying their exper ience. I witnessed him handing out gifts to some customers who I can only imagine are the regulars that he has gained friendship with over the years. Chef goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and he is so humble about The amazing food. The steak Salerno appetizer is a must have! The tuna and she crabs soup or also must haves! After you have saver the appetizers, the main meal is a toss up. Sea bass is so light and flaky with a savory sauce and risotto. The steak is an excellent choice cooked perfectly. If there is any room for dessert, the chocolate mousse and a shell, not the technical term, is what I would recommend. The cheesecake and the orange brownie also delicious. I have not had a bad menu item yet and you cant go wrong with making a pit stop in this delightful restaurant where the staff is also equally friendly, knowledgeable, and keeps your water filled without any prompting. I cant recommend it enough!

The Oscco Bucco was so good. I loved and appreciated that they highlight gluten sensitive items. As someone with a gluten allergy I had many options. Service was excellent. I would have appreciated a gluten free pasta option, which they dont currently have. Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy.
