Seven Mile Cafe used to be a favorite of my wife and I. Over the last couple years become too expensive for a breakfast joint. Two scramblers and two coffees cant cost $20+ per person. I get all costs have gone up, but its just too much for breakfast.

I ve been here a few times and the food and service is normally constant and great. This morning we had the worse service I ve ever. We were a party of two. It took awhile before we were offered water and coffee. Our food came out on time. Our waiter basically disappeared until he brought us more coffee and our check. It wasn t very busy when we ate here. I still tipped but am very disappointed.

First time was a bit underwhelming. Have heard great things about this place but for being one of only a few people in the restaurant midweek and having plenty of staff it was disappointing. We were never offered coffee warmups. At one point my coffee was cold and nearly gone. I asked for a warmup and waiter didn t even think to ask if anyone else at the table needed one. And they did. Decaf coffee is terrible- like mud. Regular coffee is decent. Server a bit oblivious and not attentive at all. Bacon was no bueno thin and poor quality. Eggs were scrambled and chopped up so much that they no longer looked appetizing. Very bland overall. The Denver tacos were pretty good and the green salsa was delicious. I would go back if customer service were better. The place is beautiful and aesthetically interesting but didn t have a great experience - a bit pricey to top things off. Maybe I ll go back one day? They do have an extensive vegan menu. Cannot vouch for the dishes but good to know they have lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. The Bloody Maria was very tasty, only required a little extra Cholula to achieve my preferred level of spiciness. The Juevos Rancheros were flavorful and the perfect portion to leave you full but not overstuffed. The Papas Rancheras with an egg over easy do not disappoint.

Good place for breakfast or brunch with a group. The atmosphere was nice, the acoustics were off cause it was just very noisy in the back room. The food was fantastic, I recommend the Southern Eggs Benedict and the Papas Ranchero. The service was pretty quick cause the food came out within 20 minutes, and they were busy. The wait staff was kind and friendly. It wouldve been 5 stars, but the spicy blood mary was not good, it tasted like they just put regular tomatoe juice and vodka in a glass. All in all I would go again for the food.

My first impression was this place is beautiful. Mason was a great server. Now the food was a different story. It s a good thing that I wasn t a food critic. My wife ordered the pancake which was very not light and fluffy it was very dry. I ordered the waffle which was over cooked and 2 eggs over medium on top and one of the eggs was broken. The presentation was not good. I know the waiter should have caught it. Maybe the cook was having a bad day but b/c the prices were a little high I expected better. This was my first time at this restaurant maybe my last. I hope the manager of this restaurant is listening. I was disappointed

I honestly I don t get the all the hype about this place. It s pricey and the portions are large however I don t need two pounds of hash brown, I need a small portion of hash brown that tastes good. Today was busy , as expected , but I had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, another 25 minutes for a cup of coffee and can t even remember when the food finally arrived. Their menu is vast but they are so limited on certain things, for instance they don t have mozzarella cheese. Today I realized their menu only allows you to have two alcoholic beverages, so if you are looking for a fun brunch with friends that s not your place. I never ordered more than that but I wonder what they would say if you order a third drink. Will I go back? Maybe. But definitely is not on my top list.

I dont know how people are giving this a great review. This was one of the most tasteless food experiences my wife and I have ever had. Ive never had scrambled eggs that are more white than yolk. They also had 0 salt. Its like this place is allergic to flavor. The service was like everyone hated their job. We will never come back here. The only thing that was good here was the overpriced drinks.

Just had a fantastic breakfast at 7 Mile Cafe with excellent service. Laura made us feel super welcome and was extremely accommodating with our dietary restrictions. Daniela was our server and she was prompt, efficient and even brought a couple to go drinks as we left. With great food and service like this, we ll be regulars! Try it! You ll be glad you did.

Had a nice brunch here. Cafe was very modern and clean. They have plenty options on the menu for both breakfast and lunch, including many vegan options. The eggs were cooked to order and the bacon was tasty. The hash browns(very tasty) are loaded onto your plate, almost overwhelmingly so. The pastries, pancakes and cinnamon buns were very good as well. The downside is that you will pay more than other local breakfast places.

Awesome place to have breakfast with the fam. Delicious, simple, wholesome food and generous portions that make this place a good value. Everything is made to order and the cooks are real good at timing the table so that everyone gets their order at the same time. Awesome service and very helpful servers that do not hover over your table but gets you what you request without hesitation. Not that I m anyone special, but this is my favorite breakfast/brunch location!

Super cute and great food! They accommodated our party with multiple people that have different allergies and they were more than happy to do it. They made the just egg in a separate pan which was amazing for those who cannot eat egg! Highly recommend! Went here Saturday morning for breakfast. Arrived around 745 and there was no wait. Olivia was my server and took great care of me and made a great recommendation for my order. The cold brew coffee was tasty as well. Saw several reviews mentioning price. It s listed on the menu when you sit down. And online. Shouldn t be surprising. For a sit down meal with great service, I felt it reasonable, and bonus the portions were huge so I had leftovers the next morning!

This place was delicious! The food portions are huge (could share with another person) and the Hawaiian Mimosa was amazing. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about prices be too high, but if you can afford to eat out, stay home. They make everything from scratch and use cage-free eggs. Love that they have a variety of dishes including vegetarian and vegan. Will be back!

This was our second time visiting and its safe to say that there are consistent opportunities in the service department. Prior to arrival, we were unable to join the waitlist because there was no wait however upon approaching the host desk we were placed on the waitlist and given the expectation of 10-20min to be seated. After 15min we were taken to an almost empty section and sat. Our waiter was friendly enough however we saw him once after receiving food which was not consistent with the food we ordered. My son asked for a simple waffle and received one covered in whip cream and chocolate chips which he does not enjoy. My coffee came and was never refilled, having only seen our server once none of these issues could be addressed and we ultimately paid our hefty tab and left without any desire to return.

Always a great place to come for brunch on the weekends. It s always busy and your party must all be present to be sat. We normally sit at the bar. The specialty coffees are so good! I always get the lavender honey latte and it is just the perfect amount of flavor. The menu is vast so it can be challenging to pick. This time we got the hash brown bowl and the breakfast tacos. We get something different each time we go and it s always good. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked. There is plenty of street parking surrounding the restaurant. There are steps to get up to the door with hand rails. All in all we have been here many times and will continue to return.

Ordered a BLT sandwich and it was dry so I asked for mayo and waited forever so I asked another waitress to get the mayo but then Anna Came out w it. She wasn t rude she was simply not present. Being a Saturday there was a wait. There was also a wait once we sat at the table. It took over 10 mins for the server to come to the table. Our food took 25 mins. I ordered hash browns crispy and they were burnt and the rest of the food was cold. The server didnt check on us during the wait for the food, and showed up to figure out there was a problem. When I mentioned that the hashbrowns were burnt, they gave me a 10% discount instead of credit for the hashbrowns. This was disappointing considering the cost of the meal. This location is not worth the trip.

The food has been awful the last few times. I tried to give it a second chance and placed a take out order today and it was so bad I just had to throw it away. I hate wasting food but nothing was eatable. The hash browns were very burnt and the pancake was not cooked and it looked like they dropped it on the floor and put it on the togo box. This place was bustling on a Saturday morning! Be sure to get here early for a big table. Their original seven mile hot coffee was delicious and they have a huge menu, great selection of breakfast and brunch items, including pancakes, egg/biscuit combos, smoothie bowls, scrambles, eggs Benedict. There are both sweet and savory items on the menu. Coffee selection was big as well. MEH! A little pricey, overwhelming in presentation and under whelming in taste. Very disappointing. The coffee drinks are more expensive than Starbucks and mostly sugar. The pancakes are HUGE. A single person only needs one. Just a ton of sugar though. Im more of a country style breakfast and this isnt that AT ALL! I ordered the Jos tacos and for the price, it was just three tacos with mostly eggs and cheese. There was barely any hash browns in them and no meat. I sent those back. I wasnt going to pay that much for eggs and cheese thrown in a tortilla. Positives: the portions were pretty big. So although its pricey, you are getting a good amount. The restaurant is clean. Very spacious with lots of tables. I definitely love the layout of the restaurant. The food is plated nicely. Just not my style of breakfast. I wish the waitress was a little more helpful with the menu. Of course its not mandatory but a little heads up about the portion size would have been nice. It was definitely a lot of food for 2 1/2 people.

I would give this place 5 stars if the bartender didn t suck. We love the Denton seven mile and the food is always good. Artesia was an incredible server all around, but the bartender not only didn t make our drinks til after our food came out, but when we did get them I ordered our next round because of this.. and she made my drink, bussed the bar, and then my boyfriends drink came out when I was done with mine. The table behind us got mimosas and they didn t even come out before they were half way done with their food. Y all need to do Something about this bartender. I feel so bad for the servers as someone who is a bartender and knows not every table is going to notice the stuff I noticed and blame great servers like Artesia therefor effecting their money when I m sure they have to tip them out. Also it wasn t busy at all, there were maybe 12 ppl dining at the time.

My only issue was the denial of warm syrup. Said theyre not allowed for health code reasons I believe she said. I dont understand that. Makes no sense to me but I wasnt about to question her further. I let it go. Everything was yummy tastewise. No complaints. Cinnamon bun Vegan cheesy biscuit The capitola scramble Blueberry streusel pancake. All good. Temperature good Flavor/Seasoning good

This is certainly one of the most beautiful restaurants I have eaten in. Wonderful food, great energetic vibe and excellent customer service. I will definitely be back. We went here for my husbands Birthday Breakfast last weekend and really enjoyed it!!! We love it here!!! They have Delicious Vegan options!!! The food is Amazing and should there be something that doesn t live up to your expectations, they are more than happy to make things right!!! Our server (Artesia), who was new, went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience!!! She provided us with outstanding service. The manager, Vivian, is also very personable and does an outstanding job of managing. You can tell that Artesia and Vivian care about their customers. Vegetarian options: Their Vegan options are Amazing and I love the fact that they use Just Egg in place of real eggs for those of us who are plant based.

The vegan berry French toast was wonderful, but the service from Artesia was even better. Attentive, friendly, and a joy to deal with! She made great menu suggestions and worked with my wife to customize selection. It is worth the drive from Allen for the excellent service and delicious vegan options on the menu. Highly recommended!!! Vegetarian options: Extensive vegan options, but my favorite is the vegan berry French toast. Get the glaze on the side so you can taste the delicious berries and French toast.

Clear lack of management at this place. No sense of care or urgency seen from staff. No manager present to check in. It took 30 minutes just to get the coffee I ordered and 1 hr to get our food. Our waiter must have forgotten to submit the order ticket, but didn t seem care to express her apologies. My parents don t go out to many restaurants, but to have them experience that was this morning was abysmal. Worst dining experience of my life and definitely won t be going back to any Seven Mile Cafe.

The food is normally pretty good but idk what happens to their hash browns. They get worse every time I go. Last time I went I ordered a side and it was a HILL of the most soggy, mushy, and salty hash browns I have ever tasted. I only took one bite and it should be a crime to treat a potato like that it smelled so bad I had to move it to the other side of the table so I could eat the rest of my food. Idk what y all are doing to those poor hash browns I assume you are making a bunch in advance and leaving them in a co gainer to get soggy and to scoop out but stop it right now it s disrespectful to the potato

I always look forward to the fall season and Seven Mile Cafe s Pumpkin Spice Latte!! One of the Best around!! We also had the Pumpkin Pancake and the Pumpkin French Toast. The pancake was good but the French toast was very, very Yummy!! I m hoping I will be back in the area before they are gone for the season!! First impressions of this location were mixed. The food was good but pricey for the amount you get on some dishes. Iced coffee was good but again, pricey for the amount you get. Service was a bit slow for drinks and order taking, but food came out quickly. Theres a table located directly behind the host stand and I guarantee you, no one wants to sit there. That table should be removed or moved. Its high traffic to not only the employees (sometimes 5 deep at the host stand) but also every customer that walks through there. People do not want that sort of traffic and eyeballs while eating.

Loved the feel of the place, the decor is great. Service was wonderful. Southern Benny was huge, lots of delicious gravy. The chicken was kinda rubbery though, and the hashbrowns tasted weird (might just be that they were actually seasoned and I am used to plain Jane potatoes). We had breakfast here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it!!! Not only do they have very delicious Vegan options, but our server, Addie, was Amazing!!! She was very personable and went the extra mile to make sure that when the hash browns I ordered came out too extra crispy and dry that she had them made over again quickly and to perfection!!! She made our whole experience very positive and we will definitely be back again!!! When we spoke to the manager (didn t get his name ) to pass along how pleased we were with Addie s service, he was equally positive and polite as well. Great place Great food Great service!!! . I usually order from the Highland Village location on Postmates. Have never had a problem. Order is always right. I accidentally ordered from this location and the entire order was wrong. All the sauces and everything that should come with my sons birthday french toast (which I ordered on his birthday) and Papas Rancheras were not included. So basically everything that gives the food flavor. I spent $70+ on the order. Got $5 credit back from Postmates. Never ordering from this place again. Very large area with many tables which can accommodate large groups. I highly recommend the Cafe. Only negative is that it has a lot of hard surfaces, and when busy, it is very loud in the Cafe with all the folks talking. So, to make it easy on your ears, do not go at peak times. Prices were unreasonably high relative to the quality of food. I get the whole inflation thing but $15-20 for a normal breakfast plate is already high and the food didn t wow me.
