They don t follow the schedule mentioned in-front of the station. The schedule shows every 15th and 45th minute. We reached by 2.11 PM and there are enough seats in the train. Even after seeing us buying tickets at the counter, the train left 3 mins early. Looks like, they don t have value for others time.

This was our second time taking the little train. My son did not remember the first time. He was so excited and enjoyed it a lot. Afterward he talked to the conductor and told him that it was epic! We talked to him about the train, his job, and the park that is being put in. It will be a beautiful little playscape. My son had been asking to ride a train, and we needed to gift a friend and experience for his bday instead of a toy, so we chose this. Then chose it again for another friend, so well be returning for that soon. One suggestion is that we are able to buy tickets online ahead of time. Old fashioned looking tickets to print, that we could gift someone on their birthday. That would be so fun.

This is such a cute little railroad! Comfortable for both kids and adults and despite it being mid-summer the train goes just fast enough the wind kept us cool. There were misters on the top of the train which were helpful too. We went with 2 kiddos under 10 and 3 adults. Great price and about 15 min ride around the park. Great wind down after the splash pad

The old guy who runs the train has been extremely rude with my 3 year old. At the The little locomotive chase he pushed him out and intentionally closed the gate on his fingers. I don t know why he had this against my kid but turned out bad experience for us. Luckily no major injury. I thought I was imagining but realized People around me felt the same.

I love supporting things like this. However, these dudes are checked out. We got there, drove in from Temple, waited a 1.5hr. We saw the train going in the distance when we arrived so we figured it was running behind. Eventually a dude walked by seemingly by coincidence to say, oh yeah it s broken. I noticed as I was driving away that he didn t bother to put up the closed sign or any other kind of notice. I m a bit cursed with trains. My toddler loves them but we keep missing them, they break, or the lines are massive.

Cedar Rock Rail doesnt follow their own schedule. They left nearly 5 minutes early, pulling away in front of us. The schedule says departures at :15 and :45 past the hour. My phone said 12:11 when the train was pulling away a few steps from us as we approached. We were early. We had followed directions and believed what was communicated on signage and the website. When I confronted the staff, we told the train routinely leaves early, which was the first time I was warned about that. The operator seemed baffled and confused that we were nonplussed. We were told we couldnt get on the next train as it was a special birthday train. Offered no solutions and only refunded after I asked a few times. Cedar Rocks policy of we do what we want, screw you for following directions took my breath away. This is a terrible policy for all families, but especially those with special needs, who rely on predictability and go through intense prep and planning to make outings successful. As a taxpayer in this county that owns the park, I am disappointed at how poor the operational standards are, and I will follow this matter closely in the future. Theres also a mini-train at Lakeline, at the Austin Zoo, and Dell Diamond at times. Luckily, the Zilker Eagle will be up and running soon, too.

The playground equipment and train need refurbishing. The train has significant rust and pitting visible, as well as chipped and faded paint. The play structures are worn, and the green carpet walkway near the play area is missing at least half the carpet. We did not use the bathroom facilities. The parking lot was good and the picnic tables looked fine. The train ride cost $3.50 per person and lasted 15 minutes. The only shaded area was an amateurish wood tunnel lined with black plastic. It may be a work in progress. If this is a for-profit venture, it is a tourist trap. If it is a 501(c)3, it needs more donations to address these issues.

The train is super cute, but the conductor was rude. When he was taking tickets I realized I left mine somewhere. I think they slipped out my pocket as I was taking Polaroids and then slipping the photos in and out of my pocket. I was already upset and then the conductor was like, Seriously?! But then he found where my tickets were on the ground. I was having a really long, hard week and just wanted to do something fun to cheer me up. He made me feel bad about myself for losing the tickets when I was already feeling awful and anxious about other things. I cried after the train ride was over.

Great feature in the Williamson county park at cedar park . Fun experience for kids of all ages . The train journey is around 10 mins long. And you get to see a pretty lake along the way. The train also goes through a tunnel that makes the experience more enjoyable . Ticket prices are also pretty nominal at $3 per person . There is also a small golf course near the tracks and a play area for kids . Lots of parks nearby too so overall a very fun place to hang out for a couple of hours . And a must visit if you have kids .

I originally wrote a long rant but here are the facts: My husband called and asked if he left his and my daughters water bottle and they said yes. He said I will be in this week to pick them up. When I arrived the guy said they had left them out on a shelf for us but someone must have taken them. I don t know what happened but I do know is that they took responsibility for our property when my husband called and so it s on them that I am now out two water bottles. No apology or anything. We won t be back.

We visited a week ago and really enjoyed the train and the Splash Pad. The train ride was longer than most rides at a municipal park. Quite nice. I just want to respond to the review that complained about the arriving after the train had finished running for the day. They said this happened 3 times and felt they were owed something because of this repeated event. Who makes the same mistake 3 times and blames someone else. I say this because I am considering taking our grandkids this week. I was unsure of the closing time so I LOOKED IT UP..
