The food sizes and choices arent amazing, neither is the flavor. You can get samples. They offer tables with no tableside service. Not terrible but it gives ghost kitchen and is being sold as a hangout spot, which its not. The tvs arent on theres no vibe and tables are limited, dirty and unattended to.

Visiting from Alabama! This was AMAZING!! The drinks are OMG good & BIG! Everything we tried was good to get again but my favorite was Carnivore Quesadilla (1/2 Carne Asada 1/2 Al Pastor) & Strawberry Horchata. Also tried Birria Pizza, Smashburger Taco (meat was SO good), chips & queso (pass), Strawberry Limeade (fresh) & Dragon fruit Pineapple.

This place has the best hands down Birria tacos ever! I could dunk myself in the sauce alone! I have also had the chicken quesadilla pizza also off da chain delicious! Everything i have eaten is the best. The food is fresh and is prepared upon ordering. The owner is awesome and very kind. He gives lots of food and free drinks at times and delivers world class service. Next up for me to try is the trash fries, I am so looking forward! P.s.. the pizzadilla was on the house. The pineapple dragon fruit drink should be bottled and sold in stores!

Aparicios in Leander is a must-visit for taco lovers! The tacos were simply incredible each bite was packed with flavor. The carne asada tacos were tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spice, and the fish tacos were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The homemade tortillas added an authentic touch that made the experience even better. The sides were equally delicious, especially the rice and beans, which were flavorful and well-cooked. And to top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary drink on the house a refreshing margarita that perfectly complemented the meal. If you re in Leander and craving top-notch Mexican food, Aparicios is the place to go. The tacos alone are worth the visit, but the whole dining experience is fantastic!

As someone who s from San Antonio and not a fan of Austin Mexican, I absolutely love this place! Is it kinda pricey? Yes Is it worth it? Hell yes! The environment is different and it 100% has its own unique vibe which I love. The lighting is dark and makes for a great date night environment. The drinks are delicious, the staff is always friendly and now with so many other things added to the menu, it s great to have a more street food style Mexican in the Leander/Liberty Hill area! Tonight was our first visit to this great little spot, and we loved it! Staff was friendly, fast, and took the time to explain menu options- even gave us complimentary queso. Birria taco plate was delicious, with large portions. The plate entrees with their red and green sauce- and the green has good heat, both are delicious. It was a little warm for dine in, but its August in Texas, so we kind of expect that everywhere. We will definitely be back, and look forward to trying other options on their menu.

My wife and I love to try new tacos and have had this place on the list for a while. It was tucked away in a place we pass all of the time but have never seen (other than via Google searches). Around dinner time the sun beats directly onto the main face of the building so it gets rather hot, even with their extra AC machine on the main floor. The music was a bit loud, but that is just a personal preference of mine. I wont disparage a place for not being their target audience with their atmosphere. The service was great. A friendly host greeted us and immediately started explaining their secret menu and got us samples of their proteins which were all very good. During the meal they brought us some complimentary refreshers that were much better than I expected (very sweet though). The food, the main event, the reason youre likely reading this: it is exactly what you expect from americanized tacos. The ingredients seemed fairly authentic. Everything was well cooked and warm. We tried things across the menu, the corn was okay, their tacos al pastor and carne tacos were not the best you can get outside of Austin but still very good, their trash can fries were good but I think the main reason is that they really stack the meat on. Overall it was very good. Its close to home so I can see myself coming again, just ordering less. My wife and I could realistically eat here under $30 total but we spent about $50 on our first run.

My wife and I ate here for the first time tonight and we couldnt be happier. The service is outstanding and the food was the most authentic weve had outside of home. To quote my wife when I asked her what she thought, No more Torchys, with her mouth partially full I might add. She had a traditional taco, chicken with everything on it and I got the Texas sized Carnivor with everything as well. So good! The sauces that came with the tacos were also amazing! To drink my wife had a strawberry lime and I had the strawberry horchata. Both are really great! Come hungry or take home the leftovers. Were looking forward to our next visit already!

First time visiting this place, and it s absolutely amazing. The only drawback is their limited business hours, open only from Thursday to Sunday. Other than that, everything is perfect. Atmosphere: 5/5 - Cozy with an incredible interior. Taste: 4/5 - The food was a bit too spicy for my taste, but still delicious. Quantity: 5/5 - The tacos are Texas-sized, for sure. My husband and I went for the first time and were treated very well. Food was tasty, they warned what we were ordering was enough for 2-3 people. I appreciate the honesty so we didnt order too much. Offered us three complimentary tacos(they picked types) to sample options since it was our first time. Everything we ate and drank was great. Music was loud. Our main food did take awhile to arrive, but was worth the wait. They do have limited days and hours of operation, so be aware so you are not disappointed.

Our friends took us here tonight, its been on my bucket list after seeing others post about it on social media. Not a negative, but notable is that the vibe is casual, not fancy and could be difficult for large parties to be seated. We ordered at the counter and they brought our food out to us. The food and the service though was truly remarkable! This is not your typical Tex-mex. The sauces are fresh and the plates are HUGE. My friend and I easily split the Carne Asada plate, (could have used a little more rice). My husband ordered the quesadillas which also could have easily been shared. I came for the birria tacos and was not disappointed. They have a secret menu and I got a birria pizza (an extra large quesadilla, with cheese on top) along with consumé. One of the staff brought me a strawberry lemonade while I waited, for free! Everyone was nice, the restaurant was clean, and everything looked and smelled wonderful. I found this place as I Googled Best Birria Tacos near me. My opinion, give them a try. You will not be disappointed. I thought they were delicious! The entire menu looked delicious. VERY bad food, but nice people! First time trying Aparicio s despite reading the reviews about bad food but good people. Please, don t do what we did haha. Got the birria tacos, which had no meat in them, and the Al pastor quesadilla, which had no cheese in them. With that in mind, I m confident adding those ingredients would not have made the food any better. To be clear, I m not angry or want to spite them, but to get this quality of food for $70-80 is pretty nuts. Please, just drive a couple more minutes to the Goot Lot (if you live in Leander, like me) for the birria tacos and quesadillas and the taco truck those are still the best I ve had in the area, BY FAR.

However, after the tip for our carry out our two meals were $70, and the food was below average for that price. I live close to here, but still didn t know it existed. My sister suggested we eat here, and it was AMAZING!!! Let s start with the free sample of the meats for first timers then the insta ready walls and decor. The arcade games for kids and toys on a couple of tables. We got our drinks (they were delicious and HUGE!), and then were offered a chance to try a new taco for free that they were experimenting with. Then our actual order came and it was absolutely delicious! The portions were quite large, so my husband and I each only got through half (we ll have to share next time). We went for the Birria tacos. They were just okay. However, the sole reason I would be back to this place is the customer service. My brother, sister, and nephew were in town and we had just spent the last 45min picking up food from various restaurants around the city. Aparicio s was the last stop. We called in the order and went to pick up the food, we saw there was a picnic table outside and decided we would sit there and eat. While we were eating a few employees brought us some drinks, on the house and let me tell you! They were amazing! They were non-alcoholic and the brought one for all 4 of us!!! When I tell you they were amazing! Idk them names of them but we all tried each others and each one was great. Fruity and tropical but not too sweet with different candies on the straws. Oh how I wish I had picture. It was so nice of them to treat us and what a great treat it was! We will be back!

We went to Aparicios last night with a group of 10 people. It was our 1st time here also nieces birthday, her choice. They were already busy, but when we walked in they were slammed. Being our first time, we werent sure what they had, how to order, what was good, or how big the Texas sized tacos were! They walked us through every detail. We all ordered drinks which were amazing! Lots of dragon fruit limeade, and strawberry limeade, mango stuff, everything very good. The Machete tacos were fantastic. The quesadillas were great. I had the Carnivore Texas taco which was delicious! The owners were very nice, we couldnt be happier with the food. They played the song Happy Birthday as we sang. And we topped it all off with some of the most delicious milkshakes Ive ever had(and Ive had a lot of them!) This place is a gem! Its weekend only hours but make sure you get over there. I went here tonight with my boyfriend and sister in law and we absolutely loved every single thing that we ordered! We had the birria tacos first and that was SO GOOD that we went back and ordered a whole bunch more ; Pastor quesadilla, the elote (corn), a California burrito & another carnivore quesadilla, birria fries , and a side of their pickled red onions which btw are AMAZING !! Everything was so worth it and we didn t even hesitate to spend the money because it s was AUTHENTIC Mexican food and some of the BEST I ve ever had here in Texas! There are no prices listed for the majority of their menu items, and quickly learned why- the carne asada quesadilla? $20. Carne asada Cali style burrito? $16. Ok... If they are loaded with tasty beef, sure the price is high, but lets give it a go. I was shocked at the weight of it when I picked it up, unfortunately it was 97% limp french fries with a few small pieces of carne asada thrown in. I received a potato burrito. A shame, because what carne asada was there, was excellent. Premium pricing should net you a premium product, and unfortunately this was not.

Absolutely loved my experience here. Food was off da chain...bomb digitty dot com... I didnt know I was even hungry until I realized I had finished the Birria Taco and was STILL eating the Fries... yall, I only meant to feed my teenagers lol. I had eaten earlier in the day. What can I say... they got me!!!. I highly recommend this place. Plus music play list is fitting.

BIGGEST issue ....It was just my husband and I. We both ordered the Birria Taco plate, a coke and a sprite. The taco plate only had 3 tacos. No beans, rice, chips...just three tacos. 2 tacos only taco plates, and 2 (bottle) sodas and the 20% tip paid at the counter (no table service) on the scrutinizing kiosk observing your tipping prowess, kiosk...cost us $62.35! First time to visit Aparicios. I was searching places to try my first Birria Taco. The flavor of the taco was worth trying, for sure. However, the meat was very fatty. Both my husband and I had to spit of fat with most of our bites. We both could only eat 1 of the three tacos. Now to be extremely fair, maybe that is the way the meat is supposed to be. Never had one so I do not know. Not my cup of tea.

This place rocks! We went in for our first time and asked the cashier what was good, and within seconds, someone had come out from the kitchen with a plate of sample meats for us to try and they were all delicious. We ordered the two-foot-long carne asada taco to share between two people, and it was perfect for that. Everything on that tray was delicious. The system had lost track of our order, so it took a long time to come out. The whole staff was very apologetic, and gave us free drinks to make up for it. Theyve definitely made a return customer out of me!

I had no idea this gem has been around for over a year until I got an Instagram ad about it this week. WOW everything was delicious. We tried the carne asada Texas sized taco, the Al pastor taco, and the chicken taco. The carne asada and Al pastor tie for the best tacos I ve had in a long time (maybe ever?). The chicken was good as well, but I ll be dreaming about the other two tacos for a while. The service was also incredible from helping us decide what to order to correcting a mistake promptly and making us feel valued. I can t say enough about the good food and good people here. If you like tacos, you need to try these!

This is my go-to for tacos- absolutely delicious every. single. time! The Leander location is closed Monday-Wednesday but we look forward to it pretty much every weekend! Everything on their menu is fantastic but my favorite tacos are the carne asada and the carnivore and it s impossible to pick a favorite drink, they re all fantastic!

The food was amazing We are from SoCal and and these flavors hit home Flavorful food and the variety of food and drink was just what we have been looking for. I have not found Mexican food like this anywhere in Leander or near by. If you love Birria with the jugo this is the place! The staff was so great and they gave us samples of there delicious limeades They even had those Costco arcade games to play for free. And if you are into instagram worthy selfies or food pics they definitely have that down. Parking: Free parking, located in the small stripmall next to Taco Bell.

Its more of a local neighborhood hang-out place. Its all black walls and loud music. Its more of a California-style food. It was over $50 for a burrito and quesadilla, with guacamole and chips. We had water. Our chips were like the kind from HEB. Portions were large, but for me, I like Texas-style food. I will say give it a try, Its a small business.

I first heard about this restaurant about 8 months ago and have been wanting to try it. Having waited that long for it I had highs expectations. This place did not disappoint! We tried the 2 foot long taco, the quesadillas, regular sized tacos, tacos off of the secret menu, fruit drinks and shakes. Everything was excellent. The servers were very kind and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Since it was our first time they let us sample the different types of meat. I liked the beef and chicken more than the pork but it all tasted great. If I could give any feedback to improve on the experience I would have liked to have had some more sides as an option like beans, rice and chips and salsa. The portion sizes were huge though so we definitely didn t go hungry. Can t wait to bring friends back to try it. Kid-friendliness: Free arcade games!

Was so excited to finally eat here.. .what a shock and disappointment! Over $20 for a Texas size Carne Asada taco and not sure what I was charged for a sprite but that one taco,drink, and 15% ,came to over $31!!! I would have gotten over it if the food had been good. The flavor was good but 3rd bite and I hit a huge piece of grissel....got over that and tried again but 2 bites in, large grissel again. For the price and small amount of meat, it should have been premium meats...if I wanted grissel and bone, Im sure I could get meat scraps free at any butcher. The 5 star reviews must be friends and employees because this place is a total ripoff. Now I know why no prices were listed. I will never eat there again and will tell anyone who listens, what a shock and disappointment Aparicios is!!!

When my family and I discovered this place , we loved it. The food is amazing, the manager is awesome, and so is the rest of the staff, except one cashier Kaylyn who is extremely rude. No customer service on her part whatsoever. This is is every time I go to the restaurant. I will speak on one incident. The one that really got me upset as a customer who goes here every week and spends a good amount of money to this business was when I tried to call in an order and this girl Kayln had me on hold from the time I left my house to the time I got to the restaurant. There was no line or anything , no customers waiting to place an order or anything. She was busy cleaning tables in a quite empty restaurant at that time. I let her know she placed me ion hold for at least 30 min. She was not remorseful, instead she told me my opinion means nothing to her and that I should stop going to the restaurant.After I still ordered my food she short changed me for the third time. Not sure why she thought that was ok. Wow! Was my reaction. I should stop going just because of her lack of customer service. Who tells a customer who is paying for the food and bringing in money to the business, that they should stop going there? Customer service is an opportunity to exceed your customer expectations. It is pretty sad really because everyone else in there has great customer service and very friendly.

This place is so overrated. I went last Friday night expecting everything I was seeing in social media. First, the floor was really dirty. The customer service was the worst. It was our first time there, the cashier took our order and gave us a pager. She didn t mention that the pager beeps twice, the first time for the drinks and the second time for the food, so the first time it beeped I went and grab my order, or what I thought it was my order. A girl that was cleaning the tables saw me grabbing the order and didn t say anything. It was actually the order of the people before us. Instead of explaining to us, they blamed us for taking the wrong order. What a disappointment! The food was really greasy. I ordered the carne asada machete, it was only meat and cheese it came just with a little bit of onions and 2 salsas, tacos and a quesadilla. Nothing at all as advertised on social media or the big sign they have at the checkout. It was also overpriced, $5 only for 1 taco that it barely has meat and cheese. I drove almost 30 miles just for the dissatisfaction. There are so many good taco places, but unfortunately this it s not one of them.

We tried a bit of everything and it was great. Tortillas on the Texas sized tacos were homemade, yum! The horchata coffee was great according to my daughter that drank it all. We re late to the party, but finally made our way here. These tacos are my favorite without any competition. It s hard to find good Pastor.. theirs has no competition. The birria tacos were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The chicken was tender, not the least bit dry. Seasoned and grilled perfectly. The staff was extremely friendly, as were the guys in the kitchen. Don t be afraid to try the drinks, they re also great! If you haven t been out this way, make the trip! You won t regret it

The environment was live(warning a/c does not work well at all &the food was not all that good. The hot cheetos elote was not even hot. They give you your drinks in mason jars but you literally finished them before you even get your food so you have to buy another one. (good tactic guys) I had the Birria pizza and it was all right but it was like Not a lot of meat in it. And the cosome was watery. My daughter had the hot Cheeto burrito and they burned the tortilla so that was not good. And I guess you got to get there early because they ran out of carne asada. And the chicken was dry. There is a lot of room for improvement here I think because they have a truck on Rundberg that has way more stuff and I thought I was going to be able to try (larger menu) and just wasnt. Be aware, prices are not displayed at the restaurant menu board. The tacos are priced at $5 each. The original tacos are plenty big for one person. Guacamole is an extra charge $1 for a very small sauce cup. Cheese is an extra $.50. The menu board has pictures of the tacos with everything on it so I was surprised to see the upcharge to $6.50. Lesson learned ask before you pay. The cashier over ordered tacos or maybe didn t hear clearly so ended up getting 3 pastor tacos instead of 1. Our food came out one at a time so it made for a weird staggered meal for our family of four. One of the expeditors kept bringing the wrong food to our table so we ended up unknowingly eating someone else s chicken quesadilla, but they gave us our correct carne asada quesadilla on the house. The refresher drinks are $6.50 each. You can easily share one, they come in large jars probably about 30floz each. The decor and music choice threw us off. Scarface gangster pics with club vibe music. I couldn t figure out if I should have been ordering tacos or pop lock n dropping. Reminded me of my days at the clubs in Juarez with my buddies. Outside of the order mismatch and the secret pricing, the food is good and the drinks are refreshing. If I ever come back I would definitely order differently. Not like our first time order at $75. See below for the more budget friendly method for a family of two adults and two teenagers. For a family of 4, get 4 tacos or one big Texas size to share. Get 2 drinks and share. Pass on the guac and cheese. Make sure you tell them no cheese otherwise you will be unpleasantly surprised of the up charge. A yummy family meal for under $40. BTW there s no cups for water, you re forced to buy Fiji bottled water at $5 each.

We loved the authentic homemade tortillas and the Texas sized taco. The drinks are pricey but large. They come in a range of fun flavors too. Skip the corn. We came when they had a small rush... and it took a bit until someone attended us and took our order. At first the wait time was horrible but then yet we were hangry! Overall it was worth waiting for it. It was delicious. Meat flavor was on point. Aguas frescas were on point as well. We tried a bit of everything. The hot cheeto quesadillas, carne asada and chicken machete, regular chicken tacos. And drinks dragon fruit pineapple.. really good. Horchata, oreo shake. And they serve you a good amount. I moved to Austin five years ago from San Diego, California. When I say this reminds me of home, it really did. The meat was seasoned just right and really tender! It was alright. They had no guacamole left and the reason was that they did not have any ripe avocados. Texas size taco is very hard to share and not easy to cut. The best thing was the drinks. By the way, they do not have any alcohol, in case you want to grab one with your meal. Also, it was so hot inside. They have a portable cooler but clearly not enough for the entire restaurant.
