ordered a bacon cheeseburger, a chicken fried steak sandwich, and a grilled chicken sandwich. i received a cheeseburger with no bacon, a double cheeseburger, and a grilled chicken sandwich. after i requested the bacon on the first burger, i was handed slightly uncooked bacon on a sandwich that had been microwaved. the service from the start wasnt a great experience, the man at the register had no idea what he was doing and had us, and the people behind us waiting for another person to do the job. the man who helped us was very professional and polite.

It s *almost* comical how rude the staff is completely unwarranted. I ve worked food service before so im extremely patient and polite when I go out to get food but the girls taking your order in the drive thru literally made me laugh how out right rude they were taking the order and giving me my food. Slamming the window shut with no words while taking my money and giving food. It s actually crazy. I called my husband to laugh with him about my experience and he said it s always like that at this location.

Couldn t hear the guy in the drive through, told him that with no change. Got to the window to find the mic was pushed against the back of his head .no wonder I could hear him. Asked him to repeat my order back to me and it was completely wrong so listening wasn t his thing either. Ask to pull around so they could make fresh steak fingers waitied 15 in the front of the store. When I got home I had cold over cooked steak fingers. And all of this for the price of $39 and some change. Don t waste your time going here. Make the drive to Liberty Hill or Cedar Park.

This is the worst DQ I ve ever been to! I ordered two blizzards and fries. Both blizzards were melted and horribly made. Instead of being ice cream, they were liquid! Plus they forgot to give me my fries Seems like the employees at this location are more focused on taking care of themselves and their families rather than taking care of the customer. I d not recommend going to this location. Save your money and go to one of the Mayfield DQs! They re great!

I would avoid this location if I were you. Stopped by on a regular Thursday evening to get some blizzards and a sundae. The blizzard they handed to me was already melted, the other blizzard was overfilled and it was running over the side of the cup and onto the employees hand when they handed it to me. They didnt think to give me napkins either despite this obvious mistake. The sundae was handed to me without the plastic cover on top covering the sundae. That doesnt seem very sanitary considering they handle food and all kinds of different forms of payment throughout the day. Its just a bunch of teenagers not giving any care to what they are doing or customer service. Too self-absorbed to focus on the customer in front of them and lack common sense when it comes to handling food.

I have patronized the Leander DAIRY QUEEN #45837 since they opened; initially, the food and service were good but it has become abysmal. No less than the last four orders were incorrect, i.e., chicken nuggets instead of steak fingers, failing to add requested extra graveyard or fries (although charged). Going inside is just as bad as I had to wait for the staff to finish their chatting before taking my order. They will not get my business again.

I really love Dairy Queen but I avoid this location. I dont know if its staffing issues or what but there are some serious issues. The last time I went they were out of most of the items for their ice cream (kind of the whole point of the place). Any hot food items I ordered I had to throw away because they were so greasy everything soaked through the bag by the time I got home. I had ordered an ice cream cake for a birthday online and when I got there it was a totally different cake. I wish they would have just called and said they are unable to do the designs they advertise. Ive given them a few chances but I dont think I will be going back. Hopefully they get this figured out in the future...

Upon ordering our food the young gentleman working were goofing around making fart sounds. So of course they forgot the fries with our meal. So I went inside to request the forgotten fries and the lady up front said shed order them right away. She ordered 2 large fries, and the young gentleman cook was giving her a hard time and she yelled large fries!! So he didnt like that and said it will be a wait. She said how long, and he responded with 3 minutes. I said thats ok. 5 minutes go by, 10 minutes. 5 other people ordered and got their orders, before she asked the cook again, where are the fries?? He said they still gotta wait.. my shake had already melted and burgers cold before I got our 2 large fries! This young man didnt like how the female clerk asked for the fries in the first place and was a jerk, so who reaped the consequences?? Me. Me, who spent a long day moving and just wanted to get home to eat. Poor customer service, with immature staff.

I got service early in the morning as the first customer. The attendant took a while for a personal call as I can tell. Then told me to give her a minute and she wandered off for another two or three minutes for me to get my order for my ice cream. When I got my ice cream the ice cream was already melting inside of the restaurant. I basically got mush and I dont know why I got that kind of service especially being in Leander.

The 2 blizzards we ordered were great. The buns of the 2 burgers were a bit soggy, and they left the ketchup off my daughters burger (its on the receipt, though). The real fail here was the service time. We waited for *30* minutes for our small order. There were only a few cars in the drive-through when we arrived, and it had been empty for awhile when we left, and there were almost no walk-ins. I wont be returning to this location.

Placed a curbside order. I waited 25 min after order was supposed to be picked up. My daughter went in to check on order and front house staff was just putting stickers on herself and was completely rude to my child when she asked. Daughter came back to the car and I gave them a few more minutes and I went in. Same worker just standing there. I had to ask for my order and she handed it to me.Got back to the car and left very frustrated. More than 1/2 way home kids opened up their blizzards and they were melted. . Every time I go to this Dairy Queen my order is wrong or overcharge me, I asked for a mini cup of vanilla ice cream and we charged $5 for it. I also pay 60 extra cents for extra pecans and end up with little to none in it everytime. I understand mistakes are made sometimes but after 2 years of going to this DQ it s always been like this. I stopped by last night (5/10/2024) thru the drive thru to order milkshakes for my kids. I ordered a hunger buster burger for myself. One, the experience took forever in line, I watched the staff play inside, two were throwing water on each other at the hand washing station, and the boy manning the window couldn t remember if he gave me my order or now, he asked me three times. Upon receiving my order, I took it home and ate only half the burger. Within an hour, I became violently ill- vomiting all night. It s now 3:30pm the next day and I ve been in bed literally all day. I do NOT recommend this location. When I called the store just now to let them know about the food poisoning, the teenager who answered the phone didn t say anything about it other than, oh ok. Terrible customer service. Whoever the General Manager is needs to retrain their employees.

I am giving a 2 because the flavor was still good. The customer service was lacking. Highly disappointed! This is our 2nd to this location. We were excited that it was closer to our home than the others in the area. Both times we ordered blizzards. The first time we had to come home and add chocolate, because the choco brownie extreme is normally very chocolaty at the other locations, this one was straight vanilla with brownie chunks. Today, they put lids on all 4 of the blizzards and didnt turn them over like all the other locations do as they hand them to us. We found out why immediately after we drove away. They were partly melted, and the butterfinger blizzard had sprinkles of butterfinger on the top, but none in the ice cream. The choco brownie extreme had 2 pieces of brownie in it. The other 2 are in the freezer because they were so melted. The kids were so upset and only want to go to the one on Whitestone from this point out.

My partner and I love dairy queen we often buy through 3rd party apps and theres nothing often wrong with our orders but ordering through the lobby is atrocious. Constantly having different people coming up to the counter to take orders and hand out so theres no communication. I watch people who come in to dine in have to go up to the counter to receive their food instead of it being taken out and delivery drivers having to wait almost 5 minutes to be helped. We waited almost 20 minutes for our food the last three times weve come in to order. By the time we receive our food, our ice cream is half melted and the cup dripping from the condensation. Not to mention the workers looking as they dont wanna be there so it ruins the service and they give attitude when pointing out a mistake in an order. Save the trouble from going inside and just order elsewhere.

The food at this Dairy Queen location was mostly as expected, but my experience took a downturn when I ordered a banana split. Unfortunately, it seemed they were unfamiliar with how to make it. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I discovered they hadnt even started preparing it due to their lack of expertise. Despite being asked to wait in the drive-thru, no one came out to assist. Inside, I found several employees idle while the manager handled complaints from multiple customers. Overall, I cannot recommend this location. Save yourself the hassle and head to Cedar Park instead.

I have been to this location twice now where they have forgotten an item in my order. The first time, they failed to include a three pack of tacos I ordered in the drive thru. The second time, I ordered pickup from the app. Apparently they ring up these orders manually, and they didnt include a taco salad. I had to wait for the taco salad to be made and while I waited, my other food became cold. They offered a drink while I waited, which I didnt want. When I got home, I noticed the taco salad shell was stale, meat was cold and there were several big ends of a lettuce head in the salad. Very disappointed and will not be returning to this location again.

My wife went to grab us dinner on her way home for work. I was on the phone with her while ordering so I knew she ordered it right . We ordered a taco chicken salad. We got a regular chicken salad no shell so I had to go back out in the rain. Got there the kid didnt say sorry just grab the food and said Ill fix it. Gave me back what I thought was right got home and it wasnt there was no beans in it not much chicken at all. Update 12hrs later. Food poisoning. Been to the toilet 5 times and then finally vomited. Absolutely god awful. We spent $30 on food here and ate half, then threw the rest away. Ordered a Double FlaminBurger, got a single instead, with no cheese lol. It was also cold. Maybe 70°F. Like it was made about 2hrs ago then sat under a dim light to stay warm. The chicken was gray-ish, so we tossed that without even eating it. The fries were ok, warm, not hot, but ok. I will never eat here for the rest of my life. It was 6pm on Sunday, with 1 person ahead of us (so, not busy at all) I dont care if corporate tries to contact me to give me free food coupons, I wouldnt even give them to a homeless person. Thats how disappointing this purchase and food was. Youre better off eating a frozen patty from Whataburger or licking a homeless persons taint. Thats how bad this was.

The reason I gave 5 stars is strictly for Joanne. I ordered food through the drive thru and needed a manager. Joanne came to the rescue and also talked to me about some other food that I ended up ordering too. I ended up getting my order and will admit that the kids that work there did get my order wrong. Joanne did correct my order with no issues and we ended up leaving. While I was gone I realized we didnt get our fries nor did we get our drinks. We did have to come back. Again. We were helped by Joanne and she really was super awesome. There are a bunch of kids working here so I do understand why this happens. But I think with good training it will work itself out. I come here all the time and this is the first time I have met Joanne but she really had to step up today and its not always easy dealing with people and their food. Overall Assessment: Despite the slight issue with the burger patty, I still found the Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster combo to be a good choice at Dairy Queen. As evidenced by the picture I took before writing this review, I enjoyed the entire meal and did not leave any leftovers. The combination of friendly service, comfortable atmosphere, tasty fries, and an overall satisfying burger made for a positive dining experience. In conclusion, if you are looking for a friendly environment with crispy fries and a decent burger option, Dairy Queen s Bacon and Cheese Belt Buster combo is worth considering. While the burger patty could have had a better flavor profile, it did not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

First time here in Leander stopped at DQ....WOW! wish the DQ back home was this nice. Maintained very well, associates behind the counter were very nice. Ice cream delivered very quickly. Ive frequented many Dairy Queens in the two decades Ive been alive and have never felt more compelled to leave a review till now. Why does a large cone have the same amount of ice cream as a medium one? The only perceivable difference is the larger cone itself, which leaves us with a disproportionate ice cream thats more cone than cream. The Dairy Queen off Whitestone has the large cone done right, showing its possible to offer proportionate servings for each size. They have a slightly different price to account for the additional ice cream, a change many would consider fair for a proportionate serving. After all, who wouldn t pay a few cents more to ensure their larger cone is truly larger in every way? Currently, the misaligned ice cream to cone ratio feels akin to robbery. Were paying for a large cone, but in essence, receiving a medium in a bigger cone. My fellow dairy enjoyers lets reconsider the large cones serving size. A minor price adjustment is a small price to pay for satisfaction. Next time you visit, let your concerns be known. Let s ensure that when we ask for large, we truly get what we deserve. #LargeMeansLarge

So basically we went because we saw half priced drinks shakes and cones. Also the 5$ meal with tenders, fries, drinks, and sundae. Got there and was literally told they dont have that there because they were not an American Dairy Queen. Not an American Dairy Queen???? What does that even mean? So 2 reg fries and 2 small vanilla cones later set us back $11.65. Ridiculous. Never will I go back because its too expensive and to feed 4 boys there would be like 60 bucks. No thanks.

This dariy queen is a joke ! Everytime i come here they screw up my order. This time threw my food together in literally 2 minutes i go to eat it 4 minutes later and its cold and looks like a 3 year old made it , all thrown together chesse on half the burger and not melted at all. The food at dariy queen is extremely expensive , extra for cheese extra for jalapeños. Yet they are constantly screwing up . The employees really dont care at all. Screw this place

Guys I just had the worst experience here. I waited 30 minutes in the drive-through to order, that should ve been my first flag but I proceeded. After waiting 40 minutes after they parked me for the food I decided I was going to call in an ask what s going on. After trying to explain the short staff they hung up on me. I get off and go in for a refund. And they re issuing refunds to a lot of people who ve been waiting a long time. Why didn t they stop taking orders if they were short staffed and stop the bleeding. There was men in there waiting for their lunch on their lunch break and they didn t even get to eat! That is not right! Obviously management did not know how to step up and make the right decisions to stop the bleeding. What a horrible experience.

Ordered burgers and chicken tenders with fries from here. The order was taken quickly and given to us very fast. The food was fresh and still warm. Their drinks are mixed well and they havent gotten any of our orders wrong. The only gripe I would have is that their tacos are bland and greasy. The taco shells crumble from all the grease and its very messy.

They do not check the order details and ensure all the items are in the bag for the pickup order. You have to open the sealed bag and check every time. It will be always something missing - sauce/extras you order. This has happened many times. To get the missed item, again you have to go through the drive through.

We ordered through a food delivery service so some of this might not be the stores fault but most of it is. Our oder: Tacos - completely inedible and after 2 bites went straight into the trash. The seasoning was extremely salty and overbearing. They were soggy and cold but that might have been the delivery service. Cheeseburger without onions and pickles came with onions and pickles, completely overcooked meat (the edges were black). The soggy mess went straight into the trash. Strawberry Shake: a bit melted (food delivery fault- we paid for priority delivery LOL) and fantastic! The order was about $50 with fees and tip. Never again. I hadnt eaten at Dairy Queen in years and decided to give it a try since theres a new one less than 3 miles to my house. Wanting a quick, no hassle lunch I ordered. Never ever again will I order from them or go there.

I like this place because its on my way home from work. On Saturdays I like to stop and get a chocolate shake, and a corn dog, and enjoy them on the hour drive home. Always consistently good. I went to dairy queen at 9 pm and ordered a half and half cup and when i finally got to the window the lady rudely told me my total. When i got my card back she hands my a half and half cone, and i told her that i ordered a half and half cup and she rolls her eyes and proceeds to take the cone and scrapes it into a cup and hands it to me and says here. I understand it s late at night but that does not mean you need to be rude to customers for getting what they paid for.

This location is very unhealthy, very inconsistent, and actually dangerous to you. Its bad enough I dont always get straws or napkins. Its bad enough the burgers are so greasy that the paper is almost always soaked before you can eat. Its bad enough that you cannot drive out of the parking lot safely because theres a massive bush completely blocking all views from the right (and its worse when people park their trucks right next to that bush. ... But when they start charging inconsistently (and you see an example of inconsistent charging in another review for this location) and they get the order incredibly wrong (look at those pictures. Does that look like mayo and cheese only? Does that look safe to eat? Even the cheese was just raw slices tossed on there), then thats where one must draw the line. For a new location, its pumped out consistently poor quality food, service, and pricing. Just go to Whataburger next to it. Youll be far happier you did. Better hours and better food there too.

I love some DQ, but at this particular restaurant, the food was horrible. We ordered for here, and they bagged it to go. The hamburger patties were dry, and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, and they gave me a crispy chicken sandwich. I ordered onion rings, and I was given a large fry. I will try one more time, just to see if it was a fluke. If the food is horrible again, I will not be going to this particular location again.

I want to give my local Leander DQ 5 stars, but the last two times we ve gone we received blizzards that are only mixed half way, leaving us with just half a cup of vanilla ice cream that just goes to waste. We ve ordered different sizes each time, but that hasn t led to any different results. Staff is very friendly and the store is really nice, but so far hasn t been worth the quality.

Soooo there is an extremely rude chic named sapphire/mary that works here. She is a bully and doesn t want to keep her mouth shut with things that are outside of work. I overheard her say some really horrific things about another employee all the while the business is full of customers. Worst DQ I have ever been to and I highly recommend the drive to cedar park instead of utilizing the one in Leander if you want to keep your sanity and enjoy your meal. If I could give zero stars I would! Very disappointed that the manager would keep someone on staff who is clearly very unprofessional.

Will not be back to this location. Very poorly ran and my blizzards shouldnt be melting all over my car and me before i can even get it home. It will now have to be refrozen before I can even eat it. Girl at the front had absolutely no idea what she was doing and had the nastiest attitude. I cant stand it when I keep getting asked is that it is that it when Im trying to place my order. They were very busy when I came tonight. . I waited for almost an hour. Which would have been fine, except it became apparent that they made my order as soon as it was placed and just left it to sit until I made it to the drive thru window. My steak fingers, fries, and gravy were cold and my blizzard was melted. I am not sure if they are not adequately staffed or if it is poor training, but they should really work on how to handle a rush. You dont make someones order and leave it to get stale by the drive thru window. If you are going to premake the hot food, keep it under the warmer and do not make ice cream treats so far in advance they melt.
