Horrible service. I will never go back. My pet was sick, I believe with a kennel cough, they told me they would have to examine my pet outside and pay them $154 dollars first for an appointment the next day. I never been so rudely treated like this. When I told them I do not want to pay up front, they told me to find somewhere else to go. Horrible place. There Frontline needs alot of training on how to deal with people. Like some professionals.

Going to Dr. Anthon Mike and Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital crew for 8 years now. He has been saving grace for my two, 7 and 8 years old, rabbits. Even when the situation requires serious hospitalization in another level up vet hospital, they always cooperated and helped with follow ups and maintenance. I only have anticipatory fear of what will happen when he retires.

Our visit to Animal Kingdom was ,by far, the best experience I have ever encountered in all the 30 years I have been taking my animals for their check ups. We relocated from another state and had been well established with another pet hospital. After asking around for recommendations we chose Animal Kingdom. What a blessing!!! From the initial call to schedule the appointment we were in great hands. Tammy was so friendly and welcoming. The vet techs who assisted my pup during the appointment were thoughtful and kind. Dr. Mikes exam was comprehensive and the time he took to explain his findings and treatment plan was superb! I m so grateful to have such caring professionals caring for our pets.

I can t say enough nice things about this office. My pup had an eye injury and we came in for treatment. Not only was I satisfied with the care he received but the staff was so genuinely kind and understanding. I was understandably concerned about my pup and was able to been seen same day. During the examination the doctor was so compassionate and reassuring. She talked me through the at home treatment process and was very patient with me as I asked questions and voiced concerns.

Had to put my senior cat down. The entire staff was so friendly and understanding. They walked us through the whole process. Dr. Butcher was so caring and you could see that everyone loves animals at this office. I had been calling all over looking for a place to see my cat but nobody could see her same day except this place. They let us come by at 5:30 right before close and let us stay with her until we were ready even after hours. Nobody rushed us and it meant so much. Thank you.

We love Dr. Mike. It began with us bringing in our doberman a few years ago. He ended up with a cancerous mass that Dr. Mike did and excellent job of removing. He gave us a few more good years. Our little dog had a slew of issues and we brought him in at age 10 to see Dr. Mike. We thought it may be near the end, but with his assistance, he lived happily for 5 more years. Unfortunately, we just had to put him down but Dr. Mike was so great during that moment. I really appreciate the extra years he gave us with him.

I think I found my forever Vet. Ive been struggling to find a team to take care of my fur babies the way I would. Im super impressed with Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital. My new kitty was vomiting and had a bloody stool. I didnt want to go back to my previous Vet so I called multiple facilities I had researched. Animal Kingdom got me in within 2 hours on the same day. Everyone else was going to leave Gracie to suffer. They were considerate from the moment I called until I left. It was raining so they came outside when I arrived to help me carry Gracie inside. We were immediately taken into an exam room and the assessment began. The entire team was attentive & listened to my concerns. Dr. Butcher is very kind and gentle with my baby girl. He spent more time answering my questions/concerns than any Vet Ive met in 30 + years. I asked a question about pet vaccines and he even went and researched it while we wrapped up. My own doctor isnt that considerate and accommodating. They also made sure to be transparent about different options/pricing so I could tweak her medical care to what I could afford. The entire team is caring and personable. I was crying on the way there, but smiling when I left. Thank you to Animal Kingdom for treating me and Gracie with respect and dignity. Yall are awesome!

Expensive and you must buy your pet prescriptions thru them. Itch medicine is $200 per month plus 79 office visit. I just cant afford it. They do have a nice and clean place ans Staff and Vet are excellent. My Response: First, your protection from bad pharmacies implies the customer is stupid. Second, your protection Doubles the cost of the prescription Retail Price meaning your mark up is at least 100%. Example is the bottle of dog shampoo You Sell for for $59.60 retails for $29.00 from the manufacturer and your wholesale price is even less. The itch medicine you wanted me to buy for $200 a month is at a reputable pharmacy for $90 a month. It appears, to me, your protection is profit motivated. Is it even legal for a veterinarian to demand prescriptions be bought from them ?

Great experience, we went for the first time for our dog who has allergies and everyone was fantastic. Tammy, the front desk associate, was so incredible from the beginning- with her being the first and last point of contact with clients I am genuinely impressed by her and her energy. Would leave 0 stars if I could but that s not aloud. Apparently because of my dogs breed (pit bull mix) and her anxiety she s unwelcome at this vet. Overall this is very unprofessional to me. If you re calling yourself a vet you should be able to work with all breeds and personalities. I d put your money elsewhere and find a vet that will care more for your pet.

Our experiences with our pets at Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital have been nothing less than wonderful. We have had routine visits, sick pet visits and recently lost out cat of 19 years. The care, compassion and empathy we received from Dr. Mike and all the staff made us feel like family. They truly understood our concerns, pain and loss as if our pets were a part of their pet family. We had used a different vet for years with our oldest fur baby before discovering Dr. Mike. She hated going to the vet and would have high anxiety and was very fearful. This all changed after her first visit with Dr. Mike and she now (thankfully) is happy when she has a vet visit. We are very grateful for the care our pets receive and highly recommend Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital.

Dr. Mike is wonderful. It s hard dropping a loved one off at a vet, especially not being present. I trust him 1,000% with my girl Sweet Pea (Guinea pig). He is a very special man and genuine with all pets. I m so fortunate to have stumbled across him many years ago. He saved our girls life when she was very ill. And performs routine care as well. Dr. Mike has called us twice now to check up on our Guinea pig Dipper. He spent lots of time with us and gave us recommendations on how to give Dipper his medicine as our pig was fighting against taking it. He made us feel like Dipper is in the best possible hands and he is! Dr. Mike really showed us that he cares for animals and in our case, our sweet Guinea pig! Noticed my bird wasn t doing too good so i called about 10 different vets to see who cares for birds. several of those recommended Animal Kingdom. i called them and was able to get my bird seen the next day. I appreciate Dr. Mike being so transparent about the possible side effects of my dogs allergy medication and informing me of all of our options. He was knowledgeable and way more informative/cooperative than our last vet. I also appreciate that they take care to make sure that we only get the best quality prescriptions from them. My dog loved the staff, and the woman checking us in at the desk was also amazing and personable and even brought my husband and I some drinks while we waited in our cars for our curbside appointment. I adopted a kitten (named Cashew) from the shelter that came down with an upper respiratory infection + ringworm a few days after I got him and his little immune system wasnt built up yet so he was a fighter! Dr. Mike gave me all the medicines/supplements to make my lil guy feel better but what really stood out to me was that Dr. Mike called me every single day for a week to make sure Cashew was doing okay -- what an awesome vet!! Cashew is now healthy and has way too much energy for his own good (lol) so Im very grateful for Dr. Mike and his team!

I can find it for $100 less else where, but they know we will do anything for our babies and will pay for the ease. They price gouge because they can. MONEY HUNGRY To me my dogs health and happiness is important. Money is also important. The care they provide is great, but so are other vet facilities. Thry dont do anything special. The issue I have with the Vet facility is how money hungry they are. They overcharge on the medication. Im talking $50 and over for medication that is sold other areas that is NOT GENERIC. If the doctor is recommending a certain medication that is carried in their facility then they will REFUSE to write a prescription to get it elsewhere for cheaper. It became more about money than the care of my dog. Personally I couldnt afford the price they are selling the medication for. So now not only did I drop $500 for a visit for an EAR INFECTION, now I have to go elsewhere to a doctor who will write a prescription for the medication my dog needs. For that reason I dont recommend this location. I know that people look at reviews because vets tend to be extremely expensive. I hope you see this and dont waste your time or money here. My puppy has allergies and i spent $500. You do the math. Im gonna tell everyone I know because I just couldnt believe it.

I have taken my fur baby Midnight since she was 2 months old to Animal Kingdom. Every employee made my Midnight and I feel so comfortable by going above and beyond to treat my Midnight with her ear infections. The first time I took her she was 2 months with an ear infection she was treated and problem solved. Midnight is 3 years old now and had her second ear infection and was treated with the same care. I was informed that dogs get swimmers ears and can get bacteria from water. There were right I took Midnight to be beach all the time. Now I limit her time around water by not letting her sermering herself. Also, when bathing covering her ears from water.

Curbside vet visit is a joke. You really do not have any direct communication with a doctor_ do not even know if your pet is even seen by doctor. All they tried to do was upsale without any sound reasons _ or explanation. Charge a ridiculous amount of money for below par per care. I was very disappointed. I felt violated and very concerned about what was really going on inside with my poor pet. Never again! I will certainly use a pet vet who cares more for my pet than money. This was our first visit to AKPH for our Bearded Dragon. Dr Athon and his staff were excellent, knowledgeable and very accommodating. They listened to my concerns about our pet and took the time to explain everything. What a shame that money is more important to this vet than the actual welfare of the pets. Yesterday one of the women there called me to confirm my dogs appointment today and I asked them what all they were doing on this appointment (a valid question since Ive now been there 6 times in the span of May-November for a dog that is healthy aside from an enlarged heart). They said they were doing blood work again and I said I thought we just recently had that done. She said they like to do blood work every 6 months to ensure theres no issues with the medication because the medicine my dog is on can cause kidney/liver damage/failure which was news to me since Ive never been told that before on any of my many appointments here. She took an attitude/tone with me during this conversation and I ended up telling her to have Dr Mike call me. Dr Mike called a little bit later, explained that the woman I spoke to was mistaken and that my dog is not on medication that causes these issues and he seemed apologetic that she told me wrong information. He said he likes to do blood work every 6 months just to make sure everythings still good, which seemed like a fair answer and the conversation was ended from there. Well I brought her in today to her appointment at 11am and dropped her off. Not even 5 minutes later I get a call back to go over her history and the medications/cost. We go over this and I let her know we needed refills on a heart medicine Dr mike had her on as well as a flea preventative. She called back again shortly thereafter with updated costs and said that I was looking at $550+ with everything (exam, blood work, medicine refills, etc). Mind you, I have had SIX appointments with them in the span of 6 months... and I love my dog but these costs are adding up between her monthly medicines and the numerous visits. I asked the woman on the phone (a different one than yesterday) the specific costs of each medicine and let them know that I was going to shop around and see if they carried it more affordable elsewhere, she told me that Dr Mike has his own in-house pharmacy and that they wont let me fill it elsewhere. I told her that Dr Mike is our vet who is writing a prescription for medicine after having seen her, I never agreed to get the medicines directly through him (and this has not been the case at previous vets Ive gone to) and they cannot force me to go through them for her medicine. This woman on the phone then took an attitude with me and flat out said WELL WE CAN DENY THE PRESCRIPTION. So... youre telling me youd rather DENY a dog her medicine than to allow me to get the prescription from an outside pharmacy?? This doesnt seem like something Dr Mike would be in agreement with, but I guess he just puts on a good face because when I got a call back later they said Dr Mike was standing right by the technician that told me that when she was on the phone with me. Shameful and despicable, I thought Dr Mike was trustworthy but I guess he just puts on a good face. By the way, the prescription costs ended up being about a $150 difference (more expensive with Dr Mike than outside pharmacies), and I called another vet immediately after and they were appalled when I told them what this technician said. I shouldve known better because last year when I put my other dog down, they had me come in 3 or 4 times before telling me I needed to get him to the animal hospital in Houston asap.. they even had me come in the DAY that I put my dog down and charged me to tell me to take him into Houston! They literally did nothing at that appointment besides the Exam and they had seen him not even 2 days earlier! I hope nobody else has to go through these issues like I have, the minute you start questioning the costs/need for so many appointments they have a horrible attitude. Theyd rather you sit back and just do as youre told.

I called Animal Kingdom to bring in my puppy for what I considered an emergent situation. My primary vet would not see my puppy the same day, so I called AKPH. They made me an appointment and ensured that they would help me figure out what was wrong. The staff was very kind and attentive, and although COVID procedures are in place & I was in the car I never felt like I was out of the loop regarding my puppy Xanders care. They called and walked me through everything that was being done. Dr. Mike called and kept touch with me even after my puppys visit. Meanwhile our primary vet hasnt called once to check in on Xander. Im beyond thankful for everyone at Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital. They have been very kind and caring throughout this process. My puppy is on a wellness plan through our primary vet, but after this experience I really cant imagine anyone other than Dr. Mike being his veterinarian.

I dont do online reviews very often, but AKPH definitely deserves praise for the level of care and service they provide every time we visit. Dr. Mike, Tammy, and the rest of the staff are like family, and are some of the best in the business, and treat you as one of their own. Our dog LOVES going to visit for checkups, and when we had a stressful emergency visit last year, they did everything they could to ensure the process was as smooth and easy as possible.

Our family just moved into our new house 1 week ago and our 1 yr old Springer, Cookie, Got ahold of a roll of tape while unpacking and ate some of it. She began to throw up over the next 24 hours and stopped eating and drinking, we picked animal kingdom to take her too based on the excellent reviews but were cautious of taking our fur baby to a new vet in a crisis situation. We could not be more pleased. Dr. Mike was amazing! Over the course of 2 days Cookie needed an IV for dehydration, several x-rays and medication. It was discovered that she also had pancreatitis, and 2 ear infections (she is an avid swimmer) We had no idea that our baby was in such pain and truly believe that Dr.Mike not only took care of the immediate situation, but actually saved her life because of finding the pancreatitis. After receiving barium the scans showed that she had been in distress for a while. He was also able to combat the tape problem without having to do surgery. We brought Cookie home tonight and she is a different puppy, which made us very aware that she s been sick for a while. Thank you Animal Kingdom and Dr. Mike!! You saved our best friend and you have a patient for life.

Overpriced and they make you think your pet can have a terrible illness to run unnecessary test to increase the bill. Doctor just want to make their quota for the day vs caring for the cat s wellness. They just take advantage of your sentiments for your pet, without considering if you can afford the testing. My cat has been here 2 times in 5 weeks and spent over $350. Without a diagnosis of allergies or asthma, my cat still congested. At least I know the test came back negative for cancer. How my cat came in do to congestion and ended up testing for life threatening illness. I m Never coming back here. I m taking the medical records of my 2 pets and going elsewhere. I hope you think of yourself before becoming a victim of fraud.

Dr. Mike is so amazing. And the staff is always welcoming and willing to help answer any questions. We had trouble in the past with other vets in the past including losing two of our guinea pigs during simple surgical procedures. Dr. Mike had no issues with performing a life saving surgery on our youngest piggy and she is recovering so well. He personally calls us to check on the girls occasionally to make sure theyre doing well. Anyone looking for a reliable vet for domestic or exotic pets, Dr. Mike is the one to go to!

I wasnt sure what was going to happen when I arrived due to COVID-19; however, all of the employees I interacted with were professional and kind. I wasnt wearing a mask (sorry!) and since they had masks on, I apologized and they sincerely replied that it was okay. It made me feel better (but I still should have worn one). Also, every step including not getting out of my vehicle, was extremely smart in implementing because of the pandemic. When I talked to Dr. Mike, he was accommodating, informative, and made sure I understood everything he was telling me about my dog, Panther. Thank you so much for going above and beyond in thinking about your customers and their/our safety. I really appreciate it and it didnt go unnoticed. The last time I was there, we had to euthanize one of our doggies and it was quite harrowing. The doctor there and his attendant were not only very kind, but I was sent a card that all of you signed in memoriam. I still have that card. It means the world to me. Thank you for everything.

I needed my puppy to be looked at she had a upset tummy. She is 10 weeks old and had very watery poop. She at the time was very playful and eating/drinking just fine. They wouldn t see her or offer us any help other then going to the emergency vet. All I was asking for was a fecal to check for worms or parasites. They didn t even offer that. They said if she has parvo we can t see her. Thankfully another vet got her in. She just had a up set tummy. Just sharing my experience. I had such high hopes for this vet to be my primary vet. Unfortunately I will not be back.

Oh boy, where to begin. When an animal comes in on its deathbed and you demand that an exam be done and then charge for it. When you have to put the animal down immediately, and then charge extra for the person to be with their pet when they are being euthanized, and finally making them pay for it up front. Dr Mike and Mariah are great!! Mariah made scheduling easy and was very kind. Making Animal Kingdom truly stand out from any other vet I have been too. Mike was very understanding, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was not able to attend the visit and had a friend drop my baby off, but asked them to keep me in the loop. IMO Overpriced and Conglomeration... I now have another reason to not like Animal Kingdom Pet Hospital... they will not give you a copy of prescriptions so you can shop drugs or food. YOU HAVE TO BUY FROM THEM. In their defense, they make you sign this agreement up front. I admit that it went in one ear and out the other. I think this policy is BS. I like the convenience of ordering on-line and setting up a recurring shipments. I dont want to have to drive to a vet office to buy dog food. Their pet food prices were not too inflated but still... Absolute highest praise for Dr. Mike and his staff! Called as a new pt, needing emergency care for my daughters gerbil. Dr. Mike was very thorough and skilled in his handling and assessment of our tiny friend. All treatment options were discussed, but extent of injuries ultimately led to sad decision to euthanize for mercys sake. Its obvious that Dr. Mike is gifted medically, but the kindness and compassion he and every member of his staff showed my family absolutely exceeded my expectations. I called in because my dog was very sick with colitis and other issues. They were willing to work me in that day. When I arrived it was very obvious that I was upset and had been crying. The vet techs offered me tissues and were very helpful and supportive. The techs and Dr Mike spent nearly an hour doing her blood work and going over her history with me. I have never had such a great experience with a vet before. It was nice to see that they were willing to listen to me about her issues and work out the best plan for her recovery. I m looking forward to my dogs long term care with them.

I spoke with both front desk ladies and they were both SO welcoming and helpful!! They worked me in last minute for a work in appointment the same day. The vet tech was extremely kind and offered to trim my bearded dragons nails for free. Then the vet came in and was very knowledgeable and took very detailed notes on our visit and the dragons home. Gave me things to work on and lots of care papers to help me out. Definitely recommend for any pet, exotic or not!

This Animal Hospital is the best! I had been going to many different vets for my sick German Shepherd and nobody could ever tell me what was wrong with him they just wanted to keep running test without letting me know what it might have been that he had and this Animal hospital did everything to find out what was wrong with him and to make me and my doggy feel comfortable I was so happy with them taking their time and trying to get to know what was wrong with my dog they werent trying to rush me to do things and get me out the door. I actually got answers that exact same day with what could be wrong with him and i was very happy. They sent me home with medication for my dog and I was a bit worried cuz nothing had helped him before but the following day my dog was actually beyond better I hadnt seen him wag his tail in a long time and when I saw him get up run up to me and when I get his tail I honestly teared up because I thought my dog wasnt going to make it animal kingdom it is beyond a great place. I cant thank this animal hospital enough. Great front desk people, great nurses and great doctors. had nothing but positive experience here will be coming back.

The staff was so friendly, I brought in my son s hamster because she was sneezing a lot and had mucous on her nose that dried into what looked like a growth. Everyone was so gentle and kind to her. The doctor also was familiar with common hamster ailments, and he prescribed some medicines to help her get well. In short, I was very pleased with our visit to Animal Kingdom.

Mateo had a small scrape on his head which was not healing and we were able to get worked in. Dr. Mike and his staff truly care about the welfare of our furry kids. Our friend had recommended Dr. Mike and we are not turning back. Dr. Mike will come in and greet your puppy like it is his own. The staff in general love your animal. You have to pack your patience because they listen to everybodys concern related to their 4-legged kiddo. Dr. Mike is a very practical Veterinarian and this is something I appreciate on so many levels as a working adult. He gave us options and I could pick what was affordable for us.

My family and I have been bringing our pets to Dr.Mikes office for a long time now, when we brought 2 of our Siberian Huskies to him they had a lot of problems, we had taken them to other vets who took advantage of how much we loved them and were not honest with their findings. Dr.Mike not only cares about each family member but he is very honest and knows what he s doing. His staff is excellent in customer service and being informative and comforting to the clients. If you are looking for a place that truly cares about you and your animals this is the place you need to come to. Dr.Mike and his whole staff are excellent and they always go the extra mile. I appreciate that everyone in the office was very interested in my Beardie. Everyone was super friendly and I could tell they all loved their job and in turn loved the animals they worked with. From the moment I walked in I knew my Beardie was in good hands. I learned a lot, and I know I still have a lot to learn, but I know that if I have any questions Dr. Mike is eager to answer them.
