The service was decent. She charged me and I paid. The salad bar was good but not worth $30 for 2 people. The Pizza was not edible. 2 or 3 choices on a buffet that had been there for awhile. No other customers in the restaurant. Will not be back.

Went for a early dinner food came out hot and presentation was fine taste was scrumptious only 2 things I want to comment about for the rolls you only have a choice of 12 six or one. I ordered six and took home. Also, I want to tell the establishment please change your fire alarm. The beeping drove all of us crazy we could not wait to get out of there. So annoying. lol but I recommend it and I would go back as long as the alarm battery has been changed.

Come in for the lunch buffet and got there at 1pm, a whole hour went by without and not a single new pizza on the buffet and the ones that were there you could tell by the taste theyve been sitting there awhile, the employees in the back seemed more worried about talking then making sure there was fresh food on the buffet. Save your $15 and go somewhere else.

Long time customer, had my buddy call in an order on 6/28/2024 at 9:22pm , when he arrived to pick up the order they claimed ignorance and gave my friend attitude. I drove up as well to verify and the wimp Miguel threatened to call the cops because he didnt want to do his job. What a joke, and you are a joke Miguel. You lost not one, but two customers. The other two staff members are cool. Miguel outright lied about a pickup order.

I brought my family to DoubleDaves 40 min before closing. Usually that is enough time for us to eat but you always get the evil eye from restaurants if you are within the final hour, especially when you have kids. Not in this case! In fact, it was the opposite!! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Miguel took the time to explain the buffet and his favorites on the menu. He was helpful in making our decision and even took the time to ask our names and get to know us. Seems so foreign these days for people to actually acknowledge you or care. The entire restaurant was very clean, the buffet had a decent selection of pizza nicely laid out, the salad bar was fresh and clean. My husband ordered a specialty pizza which arrived fast and looked like a picture in a magazine and they made me a delicious salad with buffalo grilled chicken that was amazing. The food was great all around. My 2 girls loved the buffet and enjoyed playing the games. The staff was more than helpful throughout our stay and it felt good to be appreciated as a customer instead of most places where you feel like youre the burden in their world. We went for the food and atmosphere, which did not disappoint, and we left with a lot more joy. I really hope they are blessed with more positivity and business because they are needed in this community.

Don t expect tips to be passed onto your delivery driver if you order through their website or through the Slice app. Restaurants have the option to withhold tips, and I confirmed that the tip made through the slice app was not passed onto the doordash driver who delivered the pizza that they ordered from Double Dave s. That being said, the staff here is friendly. I would be too, if I got paid hourly plus tips.

We brought our four grandkids for lunch today and all of us loved the different selection of pizzas that were available on the buffet! They had dessert pizzas, cheese sticks, and pepperoni rolls with a salad bar. The kids ranged in age from 7-14 so everyone was happy. Miguel was very nice to the kids us grandparents. He was super attentive to making sure everyone got what they wanted to eat!

Drink station was clean. Lots of drink choices. Tables and floor were clean. Not sticky. Restrooms were clean and stocked with various products. We will be returning. * I am sitting here (January 8, 2024) and this is sad. The place is full of customers, and theres zero pizza up in the buffet. Its not worth $15/person for a pizza buffet. Chuck E Cheese and CiCis pizza is better than this. The crust is barely cooked. The pizza rolls are dry. The pizza is thin and flavorless. Im so disappointed in this but everyone said why did you have high expectations? The salad bar is the saving grace but not worth the money. Take your kids here because they wont care about the quality. The crust is horrible, theres no flavor and idk why people say this place is great. Save your money and order from a chain. You wont be annoyed like we were. We wasted $35.

One of my favorite restaurants, I go for the buffets and it s so worth it. Especially usually they have arcade games and claw machines, and TVs playing various stuff. Tons of entertainment for the whole family! The food is also just genuinely so good!!! Don t be scared to try the fun monthly flavors. ALL the desserts are so good, and with this buffet if something isn t out you can ask and they will add it to the buffet in about 10 minutes. The cherry strudel is so good sometimes I order one to-go!! Same with the cheese sticks they are to DIE for. The employees are so welcoming and often check in with you.

The hot wings, however, were mushy and fatty (as in I found myself digging through globs of fat to find meat). They turned my stomach, so I ended up having to throw them away. We are usually big Double Dave fans. We drive about 20 - 30 minutes to eat the buffet. The last 2 times have been awful. The first time, a month or so ago, we figured it was because we were there about 1:30 and the buffet closes at 2 so we excused it. This time we were there by 1. There were several other families there for the buffet. We were told the buffet was pretty full. It was not. And they didnt put more out either. We ate old pizza that had obviously been sitting there because there was 1 or 2 pieces of a couple of types and they were hard and luke warm. No dessert was put out. A woman was complaining to the manager but he seemed like he was only listening because he had to and didnt really care. I also heard him trying to make excuses, which she countered. I told him I agreed with everything shed said and that wed had a terrible experience. He just looked at me and kind of nodded. Sadly, its not worth the drive anymore. And its not like its a cheap buffet either. If theyre going to do such a bad job, maybe they shouldnt offer the buffet and stick to delivery and pickup. ETA: I HAD TO DO AN EDIT TO MY REVIEW. WE HAVENT BEEN BACK TO DOUBLE DAVES SINCE MY LAST REVIEW. WE DECIDED TO TRY AGAIN TODAY. IT WAS A GREAT DECISION!!! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! PIZZA WAS FRESH AND DELICIOUS ON THE BUFFET. I dont live anywhere near here. I used to eat at the one on Greenway plaza and in Pearland. Just like I remembered had the buffet had strawberry cake. Pizza was amazing. My granddaughter had the chocolate chip. She ate the breadstick. She ate the cheese pizza. She ate better than anywhere she ever eats Personnel greeted us at the door, gave my granddaughter some little toy glasses and a little Barbie book. Just the best experience ever here. We dined in on a whim, and so glad we did. The atmosphere was awesome, staff was extremely friendly, and food was great. The prices were good as well. Loved the Big Dill pizza. My son had fun playing the arcade games, which unlike most places, they all worked. We will be back again to try the lunch buffet. Had the lunch buffet today. Its been a few years since Ive gone to Double Daves since theres only three really spread out locations in Houston. It was as good as I remember it. The only disappointment was that they no longer put out the superb Cheesesteak Stromboli, and with good reason, lol! No problem. The service was more than satisfactory. An employee came out to see if there was anything I would like, besides the Stromboli. Lol. Ive seen quite a few less than glowing reviews, and Im not sure why. The manager was pleasant, the food was great and the restaurant itself was clean. I will be back for the Stromboli at some point in the near future! Good job, guys! Double Dave s are not easy to find so when we passed this location while in Kemah area we had to stop. Big fan of the peproni rolls and chocolate chip dessert pizza. This location does not have water in their drink machine so you have to buy bottled water. Bonus: they have games for the kids and it s a great option while visiting on spring break as it s not a touristy area. Kid-friendliness: Arcade games are a plus with young kids.

Im not understanding all the bad reviews on this place recently. I ordered from here tonight via Doordash, never having tried this place. I ordered a pepperoni pizza, cinnamon dessert pizza, apple strudel , and cheese bread sticks. The food was freaking awesome. We loved the pizza and the desserts, Im surprised so many people are leaving negative reviews. We were impressed with the pizza and the cheese bread was great as well. Now the fresh made apple strudel was our favorite. Fresh dough, and plenty of cinnamon apple filling , icing and all the good stuff. We finished the entire pizza and strudel in one night. We will definitely be ordering again. I dont know about all these other people but our food was really, really good and it was delivered via doordash and arrived hot and Im about 18 minutes from the resteraunt so thats saying alot.

Went in for the lunch buffet. We werent impressed. The salad bar doesnt have any pasta salad, potato salad, or fruit only salad and cottage cheese. They kept the pizza mostly filled but alot of it was odd specialty pizzas. For example refried beans, mashed potatoes, and a sweet one with asparagus??. There was a dessert pizza when we arrived but not when we were finished eating and went to get a slice. They dont have ice water only bottled water. When you go in you order at the counter. I didnt see a sign that said that and unless I missed it theres only a sign at counter that said pick up. I probably wont return. Marios lunch buffet is better and a better bang for your buck plus they have waitresses.

This is not the same as it was a year ago. New ownership took over 7 months ago. The pizza, both take out and dine-in, has gone severely downhill. I wouldnt even call it pizza. The new owner, management, and staff are horrible. Extremely rude. Beware of the online specials and coupons as they do not honor them. The owner uses an excuse that its a third party who advertises for them, and this isnt the case. He uses them to lure customers in, and the buffet was horrible. They had no normal pizza, ok the buffet. When asked if they would put different pizza out, the owner was extremely rude and said no. Not until all of the pizza on the buffet was gone. There was nothing that my 8 year old would eat. And he isnt picky. Not to mention, the pizza they put out was nothing but greese. This is one of the only dine in restaurants that I have been to that refuses to give you a cup for water. Instead, he wants you to buy his bottled water. The restaurant itself is extremely dirty. The bathrooms are one step up from a Porta Can. There are dead bugs all of the floor of the stalls and mold all over the sinks. Ineat out at least 10 times a week. This place is so bad. The old owner was so much better, and he cared about the customers, and he cared about what he was serving. The ingredients they are using are cheap, and honestly, the food is just bad. Its really bad. I would not waste your money. There are a lot of smaller businesses that serve much better food and care about their customers. Ive attached photos of the bathrooms and some of the pizzas. One pizza they make is made with pickles and BBQ sauce, and it looks like someone threw up on dough, and they cooked it. See the photos. First time trying Double Dave s and we went with the lunch buffet. The salad bar had a lot of items which was nice. The pizza also had a lot of options which I ll give them credit for trying to be unique in that respect but the quality in my opinion was just not good. The pizza was cold and flimsy and really just lacked flavor. Maybe if you order a whole pizza it might be better but the buffet just didn t cut it for us. The buffet for two people plus two fountain drinks was $30. Quite a bit higher than any lunch buffet we ve been to before, which would be okay if the quality of the food equaled the cost but that is not the case here.

My girl ended up getting me and her family a family meal deal from here. Which Im always open to trying different pizza places. If you dont know by know, I love pizza. But Double Daves ended up messing my girls order. She ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, which we didnt find out until we brought the take out home, they gave us a chesse pizza instead. But she paid for 2 toppings... then the food was lukewarm once we got it back and it was made fresh and we picked it up on time, matter of fact we had to wait for it. It should of been piping hot and it wasnt. Sorry to say, One star rating for me and I hate to do that to a pizza place. But I want to be always honest with my reviews.

This DoubleDaves Pizzaworks keeps making deliciously consistent food. Their dessert pizza is so amazing & mouth watering. It comes with a sugar-cookie crust that is thin and light, topped with chocolate chip morsels and icing. Their buffet is also decently priced, and you can request what pizzas they make next for it. While they closed down back in the day for a little bit, Im so glad they opened back up. South Shore would not be the same without them in town! If youre visiting or a resident, I definitely would give this place a try if youre looking for a new spin on an Italian and American common food.

Worst customer service and delivery. We have frequently ordered for many years and have noticed that the business has gone downhill. We had a poor delivery experience and called and spoke with Miguel. He said to call and he would comp our next order. I e let that experience go because it felt petty. We ordered again and again the order arrived folded over and incorrect. Once more, I called and explained the situation to Miguel, the manager. Again he apologized and said to order again but to call him and he would make sure it was comp d and correct. I called tonight for Double Dave s to make good on the previous errors and Miguel told me he only honors their mistakes if I were to let him know before 3pm.
