I was able to secure an appointment as a new patient in 24 hours and loved the seamless check-in. In fact, I didn t even sit down before I was brought to the examining room and greeted by a PA student who took my vitals and stepped out to have the PA Casey step in and introduce herself. She reviewed my health history and test results and provided the needed prescriptions. She was also clear that if any problems arise I can message them in the portal or call in. Before I left, Dr. Hussein introduced herself and I let her know multiple people had recommended their office on Facebook. It was a seamless and easy appointment! I am so happy to have found my new doctor.

I was treated very poorly. It was very hard to get an appointment. They use some answering service app where someone texts you but you cant get anyone from the office to call you or pick up the phone. Tried to set up televisit, but they never sent me the link. When I went in to the office to find out what was going on they just acted like I was the one with problem and they just wanted to give me my records and send me on my way. I only wanted to be heard and to receive medical treatment. Dont go here they dont care about you.

The staff at this clinic is so professional and so kind and understanding. From the front office staff, Angelica, to the nurse practitioner, Casey, and Dr. Hussein, everyone is very welcoming and helpful. I even missed my appointment time and they fit me in when I showed up an hour late. I recommend this clinic, based on my experience, not only with the friendly staff, but the quality medical care that I have received. They truly care about their patients!

I literally love her, she is the best doctor and she makes the visit great, like you go in sick but somehow you end up laughing. She has been my physician for a little over a year and I wouldnt trade her. The office ladys are also always really nice and professional, I also never really make an appointment because they accept walkins but I never end up waiting long. Just love the place. I want to include the staff is amazing I know I can be a lot and they handle everything well and always have a consistent pattern of patience and professionalism. I m just grateful to have met Dr. Hussien 8 years ago she has been my life saver through many times in my life. She truly cares and to never have had that and to get it from your doctor is just truly heaven sent. She is a true blessing her and her staff.

READ BEFORE YOU GO: Most of the reviews are clearly faked on her practice page, either her staff or staff family are writing most of the reviews. The doctor is clearly unable to do her job and is constantly shafting her patients to include my wife who needs her medication and the doctor refuses to release the prescription to be sent to another pharmacy that has the meds in stock and refuses to even talk to my wife about anything unless she pays her! My wife has been fighting this practice for well over a year trying to get them to do their jobs and keeps getting the run around and then on top of that being made to feel that she has no other option because of she went to a different doctor thru would not release her medical records! Update to the reply, you have the authority to release a prescription to another pharmacy that has meds in stock and you dont have to repeatedly charge for doing literally anything that you are supposed to do in the first place. Along with paying people to give fake reviews to try and boost your unethical and unprofessional practice Further update, the provider called my wife and attempted to bully her to get me to remove my review and because my wife told her there were no lies in my review that she would not tell me to remove it so the provider dropped her further proving the unethical treatment and unprofessional behavior, way to prove me right again These reviews and updates span over a month

I actually see Dr Hussein and not a nurse practitioner or PA. She works with both natural treatment as well as western meds. I like the options she provides. She has always helped me to heal properly. I never feel rushed in my apps and have always gotten an appt when needed.

Blindly prescribe medication at max doses with no consideration for the patients size, gender, history etc. Also when they know you need to be hospitalized, they make a virtual appointment for hours later in the day just to immediately tell you to go to the hospital as soon as the call begins rather than just calling at the time of concern & telling you to go, wasting hours and causing so much anxiety.

I wish I could give zero stars. Dr.Hussein is extremely negligent. I took my newborn son in and mentioned how jaundiced he looked, she looked at his hospital blood work and was not worried. He got progressively yellow and so I reached out concerned. She told me I was overreacting but to bring him in. I brought him in and she treated me horribly. She told me I think we could wait it out, if I m wrong you can sue me . I insisted on blood work she said okay but you re going to hate yourself when he is crying from the poke . 3 days later we were in the ICU with him to treat his critical jaundice levels. Dr.Hussein completely avoided me after that. We ended up moving clinics and are much happier. It s a shame because NP Misty is SO kind and her staff is lovely. Her negligence could have had devastating consequences.

The worse doctor. Always let a practice newbie physician check on you when they dont know what they are doing. The main physician will never come out see you. We came in for a well child visit for my 9 month old daughter. Dr. Hussain did not physically examine her at all (listening to heart/lungs, checking ears...) My daughter was not weighed or measured. I was barely asked any questions about her development. It was clear that Dr. Hussain did not care about my daughter and I will not be returning to this clinic ever.

Not giving 1 star because the one time I went the doctor wasn t too bad, other than that the way they have everything set up with the communication being text is ridiculous. They take so long to respond to a simple question and on top of that take so long that it s closing time and leave you hanging right on the dot instead of answering any questions or helping you come up with a simple solution. I just can t imagine sitting there having to respond to texts as a taxing job but that s just my opinion.

I am a new patient. I thought the facility is convenient in location, and the staff were kind and friendly. Dr. Hussein is a caring physician. The reason for my 3 star review is because I was misdiagnosed with the flu. I really have strep. My wife who is a nurse caught it from me, and new immediately it was strep throat. She told them to test for it and it turned positive. I wasted money on my visit and with one of the worst sore throats I ve ever had I wish I would have gotten the Antibiotics sooner.

I waited forty five minutes past my scheduled appointment time to be treated as though I were a child. The high point was the admonishment for having the audacity to send over paperwork for review prior to my appointment. Go to this clinic if you have serious medical concerns, but really just want to be wait around for someone to yell at you. Update: Dr. Hussein is not well. After my one and only appointment with her, which ended in my walking out after the above exchange she sent me a letter explaining that she coudnot continue as my primary care provider. This letter was very boiler plate and likely a template that shes sent out many times. I called to inquire about this and actually got to speak with her on the phone. Her demeanor was a total 180 from my encounter with her in her office. Truly a psychotic experience. This woman needs help. More fun: dr. Hussein told me during the above referenced phone call that she would not be submitting anything to my insurance because the visit did not go well. This turned out not to be true because today I opened an eob informing me that owed her a thirty dollar co pay. I called to speak with her about this and she told me that she would do me the favor of waiving the fee. Having no interest in favores from this woman, I told her Id rather just pay what my insurance said that I owed and never speak with her again. What followed was that she hung up on three separate times and flattly refused to take my payment. I was finally able to get her office manager to take my credit card information. I cant really believe that this person is licensed to practice medican. Do yourself a favor and stay away from her.

There are a lot of things I told the student nurse with the computer before the Dr actually came in. Looked like he was really listening and typing it up. Doctor came in with nothing in her hands just herself. Asked me whats going on, sat down and waited for me to talk. I tried telling her. Long story short, nothing was acknowledged especially something I went over thoroughly with the student male nurse and I left with just getting a generic blood draw. I specifically asked for iron to be checked as well as some other personal things that Im going through but that was not brought up by the doctor eirher and iron was never checked. Even though I told the nurse everything...seems like she didnt read the notes. I was talking with that other nurse for what seemed to be 10 mins. I talked to Dr. Hussein for about 3. I made another appointment thinking maybe I didnt speak up the first time, but didnt go. I spent out of pocket money and the second appointment seemed like a waste. Im looking for a good long term doctor. Im confused on the good reviews. They get you in and out fast thats about it. Im not looking for a rushy doctor. Which she was. Another thing that was a bit odd was the coldness of the place. It seemed like everyone was just a robot. No one seemed personable. Not even the doctor drawing my blood. She kept flicking the tube as the blood was being drawn and it left a bruise on my arm. The only one that seemed okay was the male that took down notes as he seemed like he was genuinely listening. He was probably new. Maybe Dr. Hussein should take notes from him.

If you are looking for a doctor who doesnt listen and frivolously writes prescriptions, you are in the right place! Looking to communicate via patient portal, never being able to speak to a live person- again, this is your place! I have been wanting to switch doctors for some time now. After my last visit, I will never step foot in this office again. Summary of visit: Explained my current living situation (working 50+ hours a week while taking care of 18 month old with zero family/friends in our area to help), and the stress and anxiety it has been causing me. She proceeded to talk down to me and ridicule me for choices Ive made in life. This was the straw that broke the camels back- I broke down crying. As I started to gain my composure and looked up, I saw her looking in the mirror at her face (I can only assume she has been giving herself injections given how drastically different she looked from the last time I saw her)... instead of comforting the patient, she was more concerned with how her face looked! No morals what so ever. Following the appt., I requested a hard copy of my medical records to bring to my new primary care doctor, and was told by Dr. Hussein herself that she didnt need to give me my records because they are accessible on the patient portal. If you enjoy being talked to this way, and want fast-food quality when it comes to medical care, then by all means, go for it.

I am so glad a coworker recommended League City Family Clinic to me last year 2020. Dr. Hussein is direct, thorough, highly intelligent, experienced doctor. She is has a well organized professional clinic. She is an educator encouraging other medical staff to train and shadow under her. Her office is always welcoming, and recognize me by name & face. I switched to this clinic because it is close to my home and has exceptionally high reviews. My experience in no way mirrored said reviews. My first problem with this clinic is the communication. As far as I can tell, it is impossible to speak to anyone over the phone. All communication is done via text or their online Patient Portal. The Patient Portal, which is used for requesting appointments, viewing lab results, reading messages from the doctor, and even for checking in, is aggravatingly unwieldy. Every single time you wish to access it, you must click a link in the text/email sent to you, then enter your information on the portal page, then get a code sent to your phone, and then enter the code in the text to log in. It s annoying enough that it is the sole route for doing these tasks, but it s compounded by the fact that they send what I consider to be glorified spam messages through the portal. Nothing like getting an email stating that I have a new message from my doctor, then jumping through all the hoops to get to the actual message, only to find it is an advertisement for some wellness center open house or a seminar about hormone imbalances. Texting the clinic is equally aggravating because it doesn t even work like regular text. After you text the clinic, you wait several minutes until you get a text from a different number informing you that you have a new message from the clinic. In that message, you must click on a link which opens a different app called Klara, where you can actually view the message. If you reply to that message, you must wait yet again until you get another text telling you that you have received a reply, at which point you have to load the Klara app again. This setup results in conversations which could be completed in 1 - 2 minutes over the phone lasting 20 30 minutes instead. One time I specifically requested in my message that someone call me back since it would be so much faster to complete the transaction, but my request was ignored. Maybe these barriers would be worth it if the service at the clinic was exemplary, but that is not the case. The front desk staff barely acknowledge you, almost like they ve been trained to do their job without looking at the patients. When I finally got to see the doctor, I was not impressed by her bedside manner. She seemed indifferent and rushed as she examined and treated the wound that brought me to the clinic, and the only information I got for how I should be treating it in the coming weeks came from the questions I asked while she was hurrying her way out of the office. After the wound was still not healed a week later (despite her saying it would be), I went to an urgent care clinic where I met with a doctor who didn t rush through examining the problem and took the time to give thorough answers to my questions. I m not giving the clinic 1 star because they didn t actively cause harm like the worst of the worst would, but I do not have a single positive thing to say about it. Mediocre medical treatment, cold and unengaged staff, and absolutely awful means of communication. How anyone could consider this to be adequate, much less deserving of the effusive praise in so many of these other reviews, is beyond me.

I visited yesterday for a 2-week follow up on something, and both the original visit and yesterday s were of high quality. Dr. Hussein is very down to Earth and thorough. Brooke was also excellent, she took my medical history and vitals and she has the perfect bedside manner . Soft-spoken in a good way! I ve been in the medical field all of my adult life and just retired this past year. Was searching fir a family doctor and heard so many good things about Dr Hussain and the staff so decided to try them out. I must say that I was VERY surprised how pleasant my visits have gone since that first visit. From the minute I walk in the front door, I m greeted by such a pleasant staff and I see the PA a few times who is equally nice and very professional. Have had blood drawn there and the phlebotomist was just as pleasant and being I m a hard stick, appreciated she got me on the first stick. Another bonus point. And then there s Dr Hussain, I just liked her from the very moment she walked into the room. Very pleasant and professional put altogether in one very special lady. I just love her to pieces. After my first appointment it became abundantly clear that Dr. Hussein was not an easy physician to deal with. Dr. Hussein was very condescending, abrupt, argumentative and shes never wrong. It is always someone elses fault. i.e. pharmacy, previous physician, patient - I have been with my pharmacy for 16 years and never had a prescription issue until Dr. Hussein. - I had been with my first physician for 20 years and my second physician for 6 years. Dr. Hussein had the audacity to question my previous physicians and my necessary medications. In fact, she instructed me to stop taking the medications due to the side effects. This was truly an asinine statement. All medications have possible side effects. Even over the counter medications have possible side effects. Then I found out the hard way that Dr. Hussein runs her office by a messaging system. This means ZERO one on one communication with the patient. Needless to say, that caused major issues in the interpretation of the messages by the staff and Dr. Hussein. Honestly, that is just a Lazy and Disgraceful way to run her office. Dr. Hussein should show her patients the utmost respect by having an One on One Doctor - Patient Relationship. On my second appointment, and this was the clincher, Dr. Hussein stormed into the room being completely arrogant and belligerent then yelled; (and I quote) Im An A-Hole To Deal With. (Actually, I started laughing because Dr. Husseins atrocious behavior reminded me of a bully having a temper tantrum.) Dr. Hussein stated that she has to be this way due to her heritage. (Specifically, her last name.) I certainly did not judge Dr. Hussein by her last name but she judges herself. Interesting fact to say the least. If this is the case, Dr. Hussein has absolutely no business being a physician and her comment was NOT an overwhelming endorsement. More importantly, how dare she speak to a patient with such inappropriate foul language. Dr. Hussein lacks decorum and has absolutely no scruples. Considering what had just occurred, I still tried to have a meaningful conversation with Dr. Hussein but instead of listening to the patient she just spoke over me. It is Dr. Husseins way or no way at all. She looks out for herself and no one else. More importantly, Dr. Hussein called me, the patient, a liar and refused to refill one of my necessary prescriptions. Dr. Hussein is 100% responsible for being medically negligent regarding my overall health and well-being. She certainly did not look out for my best interest. In fact, Dr. Hussein, once again, blamed her heritage for the reason she would not refill my prescription. She would rather be a bully than a compassionate physician. I have absolutely zero faith in Dr. Husseins ability as a physician. Based on my personal experience, Dr. Hussein is NOT professional, qualified, knowledgeable, curtious, compassionate, or ethical. With 60 years of medical experience in my family I have never had such a horrific experience with a physician. Thankfully, I have found a wonderful physician that truly embodies all the necessary qualities that Dr. Hussein most certainly does not have as a so called medical professional. Although, physicians and patients do not have to always agree (Patient Bill of Rights) it is most beneficial to have a good rapport. Something that Dr. Hussein apparently does not comprehend. Yes, we all have different experiences and opinions when it comes to physicians but when it is this appalling a review is most certainly warranted. Dr. Hussein is hands down the best doctor Ive ever had. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. She has always given me an accurate diagnosis and treatment, and seems to genuinely care about the health of her patients. I have been to her practice probably about 15 times throughout the years and have never had a bad experience or a long wait. Additionally, I have had several virtual visits that were just as great. I am so happy to have found her!

Extremely pleased with the staff and doctor here! First impressions made it fantastic. They asked me for help regardless of if I needed it and when I did require the help they gladly provided assistance. The medical student I had before I saw Dr. Hussein was very knowledgeable on everything I was dealing with. She was able to give a very accurate diagnosis to what I had. When I met Dr. Hussein for the first time she was instantly comforting and genuinely concerned about my condition. She treated me like a normal human and not just a patient. I don t understand how so many of the good reviews say that they saw the doctor and how amazing she was. I never got to see or speak to the doctor (which is why I came here). The nurse was nice however didn t help me. I had blood work done. Everything came back normal on the app. No one ever called to discuss the results. No one ever followed up. No one ever gave suggestions on how I can feel better. $75 dollars later and no answers as to why I am feeling the way I am feeling (suspected thyroid concerns). I will try another place and hope for better results.

Great Primary Care Clinic. You could not have a better experience going to the doctor. Check in is made easy with 2 sign in kiosk and the front desk girls are very nice. Medical staff includes Dr. Hussein and 2 nurse practitioners, all of whom are brilliant, intelligent, professional, and accomplished in their field respectively. Im a new patient and was amazed by how friendly and prompt all the staff were. Normally Im stuck waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes after my appointment time, then stuck waiting an additional 15 minutes in the room. But here, I was seen immediately--possibly even a few minutes before my time slot. When I got into the room, I was immediately seen by the doctors. I was probably there for 20-25 minutes.

Two years ago, I had to find a doctor in a hurry because my insurance changed mid treatment. A friend of mine suggested Dr. Hussein. 10 out of 10, would recommend The lady who answered the phone was a delight. Got in to see the doc the same day. I went for a well woman exam & came with a lot of questions regarding birth control to help with cramping. They navigated me through options, we discussed the Pros & Cons of different types of pills & IUDs. Dr Hussein is amazing. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She has someone in the room with her typing in the computer so she can give her patients her undivided attention. She listens to you and I mean REALLY listens to you. Waiting room time is minimal and no wait time once you go in because she is the one that calls you in and she does BP, temp, weight, everything. The office is clean and well organized. The staff is courteous and very professional. I needed blood drawn and that is not an easy task ever since I had chemo. The tech is so good at what she does that even though my veins were not cooperating, she did not hurt or bruise me. She was also a very sweet and caring person. I have never been disrespected by a medical facility so much in my entire life. The doctor that runs the place is a bully. She makes wide assumptions, talks a ton, but doesn t listen. Outright states she will not chase an illness. No labs outside of the norm. She will not help you beyond basic needs. She doesn t really know what she is talking about either. I listened to her run her mouth for way too long, and respectfully tried to do so. Half of what she said was incorrect and she is extremely misinformed. Not sure who gave her the MD, but in the end it s a piece of paper and doesn t say much about the potential of the person holding it. I really feel bad for her staff. I wouldn t be able to work for a person like that. She has some serious mental issues. And she will never know it because she doesn t like to listen, just likes to run her mouth and make herself sound really bad. Don t go here if you need anything beyond help for a basic cold. She won t want to help you. Update: Bad doctor: 2018 - EKG - Normal *smirk on face* I don t chase an illness. I don t do a million dollar workup. I ll treat your symptoms but I won t chase an illness. Good doctor: this EKG is normal only to a person who doesn t know what they are looking at. Lyme carditis does this, along with the other findings of your heart. You don t put a bandaid on a gunshot wound and expect it to get better. I pretty much knew that after the bogus appointment with her, but it was good to have it confirmed by someone who actually knew what they were doing. To think, this doctor actually thought I wanted her to treat me for the active, never cured, Lyme?? I just needed labs so I could give it to the Lyme doctor out of state so I could get proper treatment. This lady s head is so big she won t help people who need it. She thought I knew the Lyme doctor for years, lol. She thought so many things that were wrong and I was amazed by the idiocy. 1. The EKG was not normal, and shows how much you know for you thinking it was. 2. Yeah, I have Lyme carditis. Too bad you couldn t spot it even when I directly said it. 3. No, I didn t want you to treat me for Lyme. I just needed the bridge to help with labs. 4. Your staff hates you, you can tell because they are emotionless and fearful in their actions. 5. You are hot headed and need a Xanax and some Prozac 6. I never bugged your nurses. No one told me I had to wait 7-10 days for the referral, they said they were working on it right then and I said oh ok, I ll call back around 4 just to follow up then. Then you get on the phone and yell at me??? Unprofessional and ugly. Most importantly, the statements she made proudly like she knew what she was doing, were incorrect. Lol. And I m just glad I was able to have my suspicions confirmed.

Dr Hussein was very unprofessional and negligent. When I went to visit her because my stomach was swollen she didn t even bother to check me out. She walked in with her clipboard saying I was fat. I asked her if she was sure because my stomach was swollen she said You don t want to admit your fat but trust me. She didn t ask me why I was there she went by what I told her Asst nurse/nurse but no one check my belly to see if it was really swollen. she say she was going to put me in a weight loss plan. I went to get a second opinion with a different Doctor she check my belly while I was standing, when I was sitting and she got me to lay down and touch all over to see if she could feel my organs. She send me to get an ultrasound than a ct scan and it turn out I had a big cyst with abdomen fluid. I need surgery in order for them to removed the cyst. Dr Hussein didn t even bother to look at my stomach nor ask me anything. Is my first time I experience this type of behavior from a doctor where they just walk in tell you what they going to do with you weight loss plan but never even bother to check me or hear my side of the story. I don t need a translator nor a nurse to tell my story. She is leaving the work for the Asst nurse/nurse and she is going by what they tell her. Dr Hussein is lazy, careless, and negligent. Very unprofessional.

I went here almost a year ago, concerned about my blood sugar. The doctor told me as soon as I walked in you have cancer cause you googled it right? So your going to drop dead as soon as you leave? As a private practice doctor, she has no restrictions on the care she provides which means she can actually do what she thinks is best for the patient without the bureaucracy of major medical companies. She is financially aware and ensures that when she has to refer her patients out for services, shes sending them to providers that have reasonable pricing. Dr. Hanan is one of the most compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable doctors I know. She will tell it to you straight, and properly educate you about whatever your medical needs may be. In addition to being an amazing physician, she is active in the community and quite a philanthropist. My wife and I highly recommend Dr. Hanan (and our kids love her too!).

I got hurt yesterday and I ve been in so much pain. My regular doctor couldn t get me in till Thursday. I called this office and they got me in. When I arrived the front desk staff was nice and professional. I was called back within minutes. I loved the nurse and doctor. They were amazing. Dr. Hussein knew exactly what was wrong and where I was in pain. She got me in, out, and back to bed! I ll be switching to this office for my families PCP!!! Thank you

Dr. Hussein is an amazing doctor. She has a great bed-side demeanor, and truly cares about her patients. I ve been a patient for over a year now, and have not ever had any issues with getting an immediate appointment, and I m in and out. Wait time is very minimal; usually 5 minutes or less. The rooms are always clean, and in order. And, even though Dr. Hussein is expedient, she is still very friendly and professional. If you re needing a great family doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Hussein!

The doctor is nice, but there are some pretty major problems with her office staff. It takes DAYS and several follow up calls for them to call in a prescription, and you have to continually call them to get bloodwork results. The office staff always seems like they are annoyed when you call, even though they have not done their job. I have repeatedly had to go to the pharmacy, only to find out they never called in our prescriptions. I had high hopes for them, and gave them several chances to change, but it has been a constant hassle dealing with them. Ill be finding a new doctor.

Moving from out of state I was nervous to find a doctor cause I didn t think finding one who wasn t there just to make money but to get to know me was possible. Well I was WRONG! Dr. Hussein is easily the best doctor I have ever had! I visited many doctors over the years to help me figure out why I was always so sick, and they all dismissed me, and my symptoms. Not only did Dr. Hussein accurately diagnose me, but she fought for me in the process. She is honest, direct, and very compassionate with her patients. Anyone that has given her a negative review is either just a negative person, or they had unrealistic expectations about her from the start. She is an AMAZING doctor and person, and I will always be grateful to her !

This is literally the best family clinic in town. I hear people drive here from really far away to see this doctor. She is brilliant and is also a well known professor. She got me in the same day which is crazy nowadays, even unheard of. She truly cared and I actually got to see a doctor, not just a 3 minute visit with a doctor looking at the computer instead of me. I will never go to a hospital clinic again, not with an option like her. Also, I am also a germaphobe so I was very pleased by how clean and presentable this clinic is. I am truly grateful.

Dr. Hussein is wonderful. Because of her diagnosis and treatment of my son s ADD he has better focus, he accomplishes more in the day, his school grades have gone up, and he feels better about himself. I appreciate the friendly staff and their willingness to work with my difficult insurance company. We have tried other doctors who refused to help with my insurance but Dr. Hussein and all the staff at League City Family Clinic worked hard to get my insurance to work. Worst Doctor ever. If you need an emotional support animal and you do not want to be on medication, do not go to her. She will accuse you of being a liar and say she wants you on meds FIRST before you get a dog. She is very unprofessional and dresses like a slob. You could get a better Dr .looking somewhere else. Avoid at all cost.

Unorganized and unprofessional. Her and her staff did not contact me after the results of my cat scan yet after month her staff calls me and she herself tells me that she and I spoke regarding the results of my test which never happened and was very uncaring and the matter what she spoke with me. When a doctor doesnt even know who she spoke with and discuss medical results and then has a negative attitude regarding her patient then she its not a good doctor nor does she have the right staff to assist. Needless to say Im looking for a new primary doctor. I was shocked to encounter a doctor that doesnt even know which patients she speaks with and that she doesnt monitor the results of her patients as well.
