Dátil-Small and delicious sweet and salty, excellent blend of flavors Pato membrillo- nice to share on a date smoky depth Salmon montadito - perfect for lox lovers Tortilla Española - perfect entree, melts in your mouth Queso de cabra crujiente - the goat cheese shines on these ones and the paired garnish comes out delicious! Cazuela Cabra - an alternative to chiro queso, splendid!

Came here since this was within walking distance from our hotel. And let me tell you it did NOT disappoint!!! We were in Laredo 4 nights and we came here 2x!!! Big thanks to Carlos for taking care of us both times. I hope we took care of you too! He recommended a Spanish wine for us and that was spectacular! Along with all his recommendations! I ll share photos of our meal. Delicious food and great outstanding service! When I come back to Laredo will def come here again and recommend others as well.

Love the restaurant! Food is always delicious, and service is always awesome! This is one of the few restaurants that is consistently delicious... even during the beginning of Covid when restaurants were shut down and we could only order pickup. Update - This restaurant is a hidden gem! Food is always good, service is always great! ALWAYS! Dont let the menu overwhelm you... everything is good! Ask your server for suggestions. The majority of the menu is tappas (appetizers). They have a small food menu. The steak is delicious. The salmon is delicious. The paella de mariscos is excellent as well, but just know that it is meant for at least 4 people because it is a huge platter. The drinks are great too. Try the house sangria, they have two. They are both good, but the red is the way to go. Ambiance is inviting. Staff is great. food is delicious. What more can you ask for?!

Tonight was our first night going to Tabernilla and we absolutely LOVED it!! GREAT service, GREAT management, GREAT food ! Its a place where you can dress up or be casual, very comfortable and relaxing and the manager is very hospitable, knowledgeable and will take you on a food journey that you didnt know you needed . We are out of town for work and came here after a LONG day in the last hour of business hoping for some delicious food. We were not disappointed. We realized we were up against time and didn t want to stay past closing. The staff didn t seem annoyed or irritated by us showing up then and we communicated our intentions and got an understanding. The food was more than we could ve hoped for, absolutely incredible tapas. I d recommend the albondigas and the octopus the most. Highly highly recommend this place!! Attentive, knowledgeable service from Jerry (manager) and Carlos (our server), fresh and authentic offerings on the charcuterie, including amazing goat/sheep cheese options for us lactose intolerants , and too many fabulous tapas options to choose from. We went Iberico on the charcuterie, gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp), albondigas, y allubia blanca and were literally mopping the garlic sauce with the toasted bread! Tempranillo wine options are perfect companions, and the old-fashioned is top shelf, plus, pretty sure it has a kumquat for local citrus freshness and a zesty extra! Save room for the churros with the perfectly saucy (not sweet) chocolate sauce! Just can t say enough about this wonderful option in Laredo! ¡Viva Tabernilla!

Great little Tapas bar! More people need to come here! We were in at dinnertime on a weekday and the place was basically empty! To this I ask: WHY?! Calamari was great, good selection of cured meats and cheeses (all that we tried were delicious), and the croquetas were unique and delicious. We also loved the white beans and chorizo. Cant wait to try out some more offerings the next time that I am in town!

Best restaurant I have tried in Laredo! Very tasty, friendly staff (thank you, Hector!), and great ambiance. Wine selection looks great, and the Spanish margarita was almost too easy to drink. Came here once 1 year ago. Food was awesome. My favorite place in town (Im not local) I went back today. Called 1st because I was arriving from work late close to their close time. They said if we got there before 9.50, wed be fine. Got there at 9.45. The same person that answered the phone welcomed us and told that wed be kicked out by 10.20. I understand people workers wanting to go home, and I was trying to be respectful asking ahead, but for that, change your closing time or dont tell people to come if youll kick them out midway through their meal. Foods great but this experience shows they could improve their customer service.

Incredibly a place where the excellence of a good host, with the capacity to amaze their dishes (tapas, montaditos, charcuterie) make it the most original thing seen in Laredo!! Visiting from Chicago, I have eaten this chefs cooking before and was excited to try Tabernilla. Nicely appointed space would be comfortable for after work drinks and small plates or date night. Went for an early dinner started with a selection of cheeses and meats. Nice wine and cocktail selections as well, we had a few. The highlight for me was the Fideau Negra Paella. I am a food guy in a big city and have never had anything quite like it. Pasta instead of rice makes up the base of this particular Paella. Turned black from squid ink with succulent strips of sea bass as well as scallops and clams. Topped with a dollop of creamy aoili the dish is to die for. We inhaled it. I will have it every time I am in Laredo. Staff was friendly and attentive, comfortable atmosphere, nicely designed space and a killer menu. Highly recommended.
