Freddys Frozen Custard & Steakburgers® was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner, Scott Redler. It was named after Bill and Randys father. Together, they built a brand focused on quality, hospitality, cleanliness and timeless traditions! Who is Freddy? Freddy grew up on a farm near Colwich, Kansas, just outside Wichita. After finishing high school, Freddy enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Pacific Rim region during World War II. A self-proclaimed regular guy, he was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries sustained during service, as well as a Bronze Star for bravery. Freddy then returned to Kansas, started a family, worked hard in the hospitality industry for 56 years, and raised six children with his wife, Norma Jean. Freddys family values and patriotic service to his country are the foundation of Freddys Frozen Custard and Steakburgers®, and these values have inspired us to do everything The Freddys Way. I loved the place, it is very clean and tidy. We ordered the Double Cheeseburger combo that includes some fries and a soda for $10.49 USD. The burger is very juicy, I really liked it. The potatoes are thin cut which does not allow you to appreciate the flavor much, but they are still good. They also sell hot dogs, breaded chicken strips, they have a childrens menu and the most important thing is to try their sundaes, milkshakes, cones, etc. The attention from the staff was very good. I highly recommend it. They have free parking and wheelchair accessibility. It was our first time to order at Freddy s. We ordered chicken tenders and the combo double jalapeno burger. While the chicken tenders were seasoned tastefully and fried to their perfect crispness, the french fries though tasteful were thin, the burger was salty and the iced tea was too sweet. Hopefully next time that $19 meal will be more delightfully satisfying.

The first time we went to this restaurant, the service was great, the burgers are tasty and the hot dogs are fine . We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy. The restaurant is clean and 1950s nostalgic. We loved it, oh and the shoe string fries are now my favorite.

This restaurant is not just a restaurant, but a repository of American cuisine. The staff (hereby referred to as Fredheads ) are beyond amicable, instilling a sense of camaraderie not just on the employees, but on the customers themselves. The Fredheads also serve an exquisite frozen custard, comparable only to the dessert served at the Monocle in Washington, DC. By the power invested in me by no one in particular, I deem this restaurant to be incomparable to all other restaurants in Laredo, I highly recommend this fast-casual restaurant to every person in the area.

When it comes to fast food in laredo, you cant ask for much. This place so far has been the best fast food experience (Chipotle aside) when it comes down to getting what you ordered, and having it presentable and made right. The fries were fresh and crispy (rare in laredo) the burger was good but not five guys or in n out levels of quality. Some people may find it expensive but for what you get, in my opinion, its fair. I hope this place doesnt suffer the same fate as five guys did and shuts down, the people here value, value above all else and arent really willing to pay more for quality unfortunately. All that to say enjoy it while you can because the last few times Ive driven by, rarely does it have many customers compared to opening.

To whom it may concern When the customer request fot only cheese burger make sure you do it righ the first time. Dont look around and see if the customer is looking at you to remove the unwanted vegetables. This place really went downhill after the first few weeks. Now the patties are all burnt. Half the meat is burnt to a crisp only the middle is acceptable. Had never had Freddys before. Walked in and was greeted by their employees. Looked at the menu and decided to try everything onji their menu. Everything was better than expected. Burgers, hot dogs, curds, chicken strips, chili cheese fries and their sauces. Im totally heading back to try the rest of their burgers. Ending up getting the Jalapeno pepper jack burger but made it into a triple meat. Customer service was spectacular and will be back for more. Went in last night for dine I and ordered 2 number 2s which were good. Caro attended us and she was nice and we didn t have a problem with the customer service . Where it started to go downhill was that they don t have any hand sanitizer AT ALL in the establishment. The employees are fine but the manager by the name of Alex needs training. The business closes at 11 pm yet I witnessed how customers disregard the closing hour and stay over an hour after closing time. I believe as a reviewer that employees as well as customers deserve the same level of respect. I hope corporate will look into this actions as they are detrimental to the workers.

Definitely not like all the Freddys i have been to. The food is good, the customer service is not to par with San Antonio and other Freddys I have been too. Everytime I have been to this one, the order is either wrong, or the employees called me bro, compa...you get the picture. I took my family to buy ice cream and Sundaes and waited 3 mins after getting my order for spoons. Hopefully this changes. Pretty sad to see this happening at a place I am not use to seeing like this. Also, I have gotten my food cold and the cheese curds....I ordered a large order and got half of a fries container.
