I went and provided an inspo picture, I went there because i saw their instagram and saw they could make really detailed cakes, I was disappointed how mine came out, it was missing some print on the bottom and the top, for 150 dollars I was expecting more. Literally the fondant was supposed to be brown like? I had to add my own stickers at the top to make it look better. I went one month in advance and they didnt say that it was too complicated for them or they would do a different version of it, they should have told me I would have gone somewhere else. Don t recommend this place at all. the cheetah print too came out weird like

This was my first time ordering a cake in Laredo and it was beyond disappointing. When ordering the cake, communication seemed fine and no employee ever said that the request was too complicated or not doable. When I picked up the cake, I was definitely disappointed. I provided inspo photos and again, they said they could do it. The cake I picked up looked like the bad diy version of when someone with no experience tries to do it on their own. I showed friends the inspo pic.versus what I got, and they laughed because it was comically bad. The exterior icing tasted like it had a hint of coconut..I messaged asking them if they had used coconut and they claimed they didn t. But I have never had vanilla frosting taste like coconut. They have a very very limited selection of fillings (to be fair, this seems to be common in Laredo). Ultimately, I chose to go with Nutella which is an odd option to offer for a cake filling but whatever. You would have had to use a microscope to see the Nutella, it was visually non existent and you couldn t taste it either. On top of that, the cake tasted dry. Overall, it felt like a waste of money and I will probably opt to get a cake in San Antonio or Austin if I ever need one.

This place is great easy to order i had a sweet 16 cake done for my daughter after i tried with other cake places in laredo everyone had crazy prices and nobody was honest but cakes by design made mine for good price it was simple and ready on time thats not it cake tasted amazing sweet soft buttercream was on point and made just how i wanted it great service

I ordered a gender reveal cake 4 days before the event. Communication was fast and easy through WhatsApp messaging and through their main phone number. I was never faced with rudeness which made ordering a nice experience. I sent an image through WhatsApp of what i wanted and for how many people. It was my first time ever ordering a cake from anywhere so i dont know if the pricing was too much or too little and i dont know if short notice of ordering matters. Ordered a cake for 35 people and it totaled about $150. I had to pay half of the price in advanced and the other half at pick up. When i picked up the cake I was surprised by how beautiful it looked and how it would make a beautiful center piece for the main snack table. The theme was donuts and the cake looked almost exactly as the example image I sent them. They gave me a lot of options for filling and bread but the mommy chose peach jam filling and white bread was the only option we had due to adding the blue coloring for the gender of a boy. I chose this place because reviews mentioned how their cakes taste homemade and the buttercream is amazing, which are things the mommy for the gender reveal wanted. They did not disappoint! Cake flavor was incredible! Im not exaggerating when i say it looked great but tasted much much better. I definitely recommend this shop a lot and will be buying from here again in the future.

We were very disappointed picking up a birthday cake. We were never provided updates on the status, I had to call and make sure it was still ready for pick up. I asked a forest theme shrek cake and got this?? I asked for red flowers and happy birthday on it. There s nothing on here but cut outs of pictures. I don t have the time to go back and forth while working and preparing for this evenings celebration. My husband was able to go back and the owner was able to resolve the issue. We appreciate the willingness to make our cake come to life last minute.

I had ordered a cake about three months back by phone at another bakery I offered to pay they said I didnt have to so when the time came to pick up my cake they didnt make it! I was so upset ..I called my friend and said to come here that their cakes are delicious.. but I needed a strawberry cake bread they didnt have one but she said give me an hour and I will have the cake u want! Sure enough she did she made the strawberry cake what I wanted!!! it was so gooood so moist and beautiful forever greatful!! And today again same day service !!! You guessed it a strawberry cake and chocolate coating for the birthday boy!! Im one happy customer!

I have ordered cakes from here for the past couple of years and will never order cakes anywhere else! The frosting is just perfect, not too sweet and the bread is delicious and moist! I highly recommend the marbled bread.

I ordered a chocolate cake again and I dont remember them ever mentioning that the chocolate cake has coconut. Not coconut pieces but just a hint of coconut flavor. So it was good to half my family but not the other half. All in all it was good. Perfect size and great presentation. I also ordered vanilla frosting that I read on another review came with almonds so I got that and everybody liked that part.

Bad customer service workers make it seem like if they are doing you a favor and have an attitude I ve been told twice that the cake that I wanted couldn t be done in time (even though I had place my order three days in advance) and had to switch to another one and I was charged more without being told. Also the chocolate strawberries in our cake were moldy. Overall bad experiences not worth it.

I bought a simple chocolate cake here for my boyfriend and he loved everything about it ! The size, the frosting, how moist it was and how chocolately it was ! Im so happy to have picked this place ordering was not a problem they answered quick and had mine ready within an hour next time Ill get a different chocolate flavor.

This place offers the most amazing looking cakes that you can possibly think of. Be sure to call ahead of time and reserve because theyre popular enough that they get booked to capacity. I only docked a star because Im not the biggest fan of their top layer of icing in flavor, but it isnt bad, its just not for me personally. I would recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a beautifully and fun crafted cake

Order a cake from here for my sons birthday. Was blown away by how good it looked! My sons face lit up when he saw it. While we ordered a simple vanilla flavor, they added toasted almonds in the middle which took it to another level. I cut super small pieces of cake just so I could eat the rest at home. Highly recommend!
