Ordered pickup through door dash , and the owner completed it before I even picked it up. When I got there to pick it up he refused to give me my order and stated, how does he know I won t report it and say I didn t receive it in 2 days. I have never experienced unprofessionalism in that manner. I will make sure I never step foot in this establishment again!

Im giving the food a rating of 2 due to false advertising. This happened twice over space of time. I ordered the catfish filets but could immediately tell it was swai and not catfish. The texture, color and smell. I had left store before noticing first time so didnt address then but checked second time before leaving. Manager only confirmed I was right by not answering me on if it was catfish but quickly and politely gave me a refund. To the manager and owner the food, customer service and prices are too good to sacrifice it to the loss of trust from your customer. Either change your menu to be reflect swai filets or actually serve catfish filet as your menu states. This is false advertising and could land you in legal trouble. Other than that food is good and customer service always on point. Do better on food honesty/integrity.

JJs is a classic south-side fish and chicken joint. Nothing fancy to look at and no pretentious decor - chairs and tables, TVs and great food. But if you want great tasting consistent chicken wings or fish, JJs is your spot. Very consistent food prepared the same way to get the same level of flavor and juiciness out of the first to last bite. They carry a big selection of deserts. I have not had all of them, but the ones I have had were above average and delicious. My go-to is the 10 piece wings along with a perch dinner. If there is one shortcoming, its that they serve tarter sauce packets with the fish. Order ahead because they are always busy.

Grew up eating JJ and Harold so was surprised to see JJ 5 minutes from where I was at. Ordered 2 fish fillets and 2 chicken tenders. Fish was alright not terrible but chicken tenders tasted horrible and the batter was more like a casing as it slid off the tenders. Ended up just throwing them away. Mac and cheese bites were underwhelming. Tasted more like kraft Mac and cheese. Had mostly batter than Mac and cheese.

I m really tired of these food establishments false advertising their menu items. I am a true southern girl and I know what good home style southern cooking is made of So with that being said, please stop advertising Swai , Basa or what ever your serving as catfish! I spent $29.73 and I live almost an hour and 15 minutes away from this establishment so I was highly upset when I got halfway home only to find out that I had a takeout container that DID NOT contain catfish! I HATE Swai and Basa neither taste anything like catfish no matter how you bread or fry it! It will always have a rubbery, wet texture and will smell and taste like bleach and that s exactly what I experienced today. If it s Swai and Basa you re selling SAY that, advertise that, but don t be deceitful and dishonest about it. The cornmeal coating that s used was also disappointing. Frying fish is an art! Either you can fry it perfectly Or you can t fry it at all (my opinion) I had high hopes for this place, but I m very disappointed. The only thing I can give two stars are the fries and the whole chicken wings and they were just OK

JJs is my go to place for chicken in Lancaster. Their whole wings are always hot and fresh. My daughter ordered the catfish nuggets and loved them. Service is always friendly and orders are always made when ordered. Their selection of cake is pretty awesome. The strawberry cake and Italian cream cakes are delicious. The price is very reasonable and the portion sizes are worth it.

So I gave two stars because the restaurant was really clean, everyone was really nice respectful and helpful The food even came out at a good time Now that was all on point but the main show the food was a zero, I didn t get my hot sauce or homemade tartar sauce like I asked for The fish was cold and tough to bite into and the taste was lacking The chicken wings was so dry and and hard to bite and cold and flavor was not there and the fires were redipped very hard to eat and cold . Ordered the catfish fillet dinner and a catfish tail. The fillets are swai, this is not catfish, the catfish tail on the other hand was real catfish. You could see, smell and taste the difference between the two items. I ordered and waited about 15 minutes for my food, I live 5 minutes away and by the time I got home the fillets were cold, the catfish tail was still piping hot. The catfish tail had a good seasoned batter to it and was fried just right.

The fish was good but the employee/manager was terrible. I ordered the 6-piece fish which comes with fries. Since I am trying to control my blood-sugar levels, I kindly asked the manager if I could substitute the fries for coleslaw. If you look at the prices on the menu, you will see that the price of the coleslaw is cheaper than the fries. To make a long story short, the manager denied my request to switch the fries for the coleslaw. Why was I forced to pay for the price of the fries when I couldnt eat them.? Dietary restrictions: They will not substitute their fires for their coleslaw. Fries are not recommended for people with diabetes.

They have good hot wings and chicken wings coming from here. I usually get a Red Bull with strawberry cake or sometimes the brownie and kool aid. My son loves the hot wings with a passion. The staff members are nice and the owner let me put my business card on the board for parents. I thank him so much. I did help families this season and next year it will be bigger. Ordered 2 fish & shrimp platters, both fish and shrimp was fried soooo hard & all you could taste was fish grease. Look-aid & lemonade was good but fish & shrimp no.

This is by far is the worst JJs I ve ever had, I ve been to many JJs from New York to Vallejo California. Over cooked fish and shrimp, dry cake and banana pudding that tastes like Raid bug spray! $57 dollars spent on disappointment.

These people say that their fish is Catfish it is not. It is SWAI....If you think that this is Regular American Catfish you will be disappointed. They will lie to you, and you will waste your money and time. So irritated!!!!!! Food : 1/5
