For a small town restaurant this place is great. The vibe is super relaxed. I can play pool, hit the bar or just hang out back and enjoy a nice cold beer and a burger. One of my top options for eating out in Lago Vista.

Cool dive with a local kick. All the folks that worked there seemed super attentive. Had a safe option, a BlT with fries. Over all good. There is a very interesting seating situation with limited bar seating. Lots of open air seating.

Staying at the islands on lake Travis. Did a restaurant near me search and found this to be close and just what we were looking for. Called ahead to be sure as they close their kitchen at 9 and they said come on in. It was a nice night to sit outside and enjoyed the outdoor lights. Nice draft selection of unique beers. Menu had so many good options and very affordable. My son loved the wings, burgers were so good! Chicken sand, chicken cesear salad and catfish sand were enjoyed by all. Good ranch too! For 5 with drinks and meals around $80. Definitely recommend.

This is a local hole in the wall we found when out and about one day. Omg! I am so glad we did. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the BLT and parmesan garlic fries. My friend had the wings with spicy BBQ sauce. It was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted so good we couldnt get enough. The price was definitely worth it. The small indoor bar was a little crowded but it was homey and we werent turned away by the locals. We are definitely going to be back. Thank you Carey for being so pleasant! And thank you Pete for the amazing food. You are a bacon God!!

How to cook fresh french fries: 1. Turn fryer to 325 2. Cut potatoes into cold water. 3. Rinse until water runs clear 4. Blanch fries till soft about 2 mins. 5. Drain and rest on sheet tray 6. Turn fryer to 360 degrees. 7. Place blanched fries in hot oil cook till crispy, about 3-4 mins. 8. Drain add salt and serve. What I got was a soggy plate of unseasoned potatoes. If you are to lazy to make proper fresh French fries, then just buy the frozen ones. It is perfectly fine and way better then the trash you are serving.

This place is probably just what you might expect. A local watering hole. I was taken there by a local, and instantly recognized the hundreds of similar places I have frequented in my life. It felt like home. The selection is pretty spartan, but they had a 10 year Macallan and some Maker s Mark. The beers were the standard domestic offering, with perhaps 1 or two microbrews. From what I heard the food is quite good, and lots of locals come here for meals as much as a drink. The main bar area is very small with some dubious PC based gambling programs, which I suspect are not entirely in compliance with local gaming law, but hey, to each their own. There was also a lot of outdoor seating and some covered areas that seemed to be accumulating random furniture brought in by locals. All in all, relatively friendly, and a quite good dive bar . That was by no means meant in a negative light. The main downfall was their lack of glassware for drinks, which was explained away by a local they don t have the proper dish washing setup . This seems odd to me, as they need some sort of scullery to wash the food dishes, but mayhaps it s just very small. PROTIP Bring in your yeti and the barkeeps usually can be persuaded to use that.

I love this place, I was craving a burger after having my son and oh boy did it hit the spot! Every time I get food from here I HAVE to get their fried pickles, they re phenomenal. I really appreciate that they have the option to call in orders, it s pretty difficult to go in and sit some times. I ll continue to eat here, I can t wait to try their cocktails!

Definitely recommend you stop. This was a great experience. The kids ran around outside playing table tennis. Although there were ceiling fans this place would benefit having a big fan pushing the air out for added circulation. The food was amazing. I ate a mushroom swiss, Garlic Parmesan Fries, BLT, Onion rings, Garden Salad, Shrimp and cheese sticks. I tasted everything with satisfaction.

Nice outdoor patio/bar for safe dining and it was really quiet on the beautiful, sunny Sunday when we visited. Fried pickles and burgers we ordered were delicious, and also enjoyed a $2 Ziegenbock draft special. This place walks the line between dive bar and nice neighborhood joint. If they spruced it up just a little bit more, I bet theyd get more families dining in. Neverless, Id go back again since the food was solid and its close to home.

Waitress could not multitask when it came to refilling our drinks or getting us our side of ranch like we asked when we ordered. When the check came we tried to split it 2 ways but she did not do that for us the first time. If you want great food but horrible service this is the place for you. The food is not top notch, but the service was great and I loved the atmosphere. You can be indoors with AC, covered outside or just outside! We went on a Sunday for dinner and the game, enjoyed a couple of burgers and the hubby had a beer :) We will be back in the future for burgers and beverages and recommend to anyone looking for a chill place to hang!

Pretty basic. Food was mediocre. Was hot inside, but that s Texas, and they kept their doors open. Definitely more of a local bar feel than a restaurant, which was okay. The flies were really annoying though and the waitress seemed like she didn t really want to do much other than serve the bar occasionally. I would not go again unless you just wanted a quick drink at the bar.
