Our experience with Origen Realty and specifically with Darian Parker could not have gone any smoother. We were treated like family and could not be any more grateful. Darians communication was IMPECCABLE! Anytime we had a question, concern, or needed any information she was right there assisting in no time. Other companies work hard but Darian and her team work HARDER! Being 1st time home sellers, Darian held our hand through the whole process and explained everything so no detail was left up to misunderstanding. Wow! What a great team!! I ve heard it said, build a squad so solid that outsiders aren t able to tell who s in charge. The whole outfit is fierce and they really know their stuff. We reached out to Traci about 1/2 a year (or longer) before we actually ever listed our house for sale. She impressed us because she didn t just push us off to the side because we weren t ready to list immediately. Instead, she met with us and showed us what to do, how to prepare, suggested things here and there, etc. She had NO IDEA when we were going to list, but answered my questions with quick response anyways. We didn t even have a contract yet and she was working for us! When we decided to finally list, which was a super last minute decision, she was there yet again. She is always super responsive (which is one of the most important things to me) and she dealt with my ridiculous questions the entire time we worked together, without reacting in a negative way, which is sometimes really hard. Traci had our home photographed and listed by the date she promised, which was within the same week we signed the contract. I NEVER had to follow up with her because she was on top of everything. She had an Open House within 24 hours and then 2+ offers within 24 hours of that. She hustles and she does her job, no doubt about that. You don t have to continually ask for information or remind her to do things. She is highly self motivated and impressed the heck out of us! She is proactive, strong willed, firm, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and SHE GETS THE JOB DONE! Traci is our realtor for life now

Origen Realty was great to work with! Traci Crawford was my agent, and did an amazing job selling my house in record time. She did a fantastic job of pricing the home appropriately, so that we sold quickly, and sold on par if not more than most other houses in the neighborhood. Their flat fee saved me a ton of money too! When i went to buy a home, Origen showed what a team, and more importantly, a family is. We worked with Alisha Cunningham for a year selling our house and purchasing our dream home. Alisha gave us great information on the market value of our house and the correct time to put it on the market to line up with the closing on our new home. I used Origen as a first time buyer in 2017. My closing date ended up being right in the middle of Harvey. Needless to say, it was very stressful, but our agent completely took care of everything, answered all my questions, and made a really hectic time seem flawless for me. In 2020, we had plans to move to a bigger house. Right as we began to make that happen, covid-19 happened. We ended up listing our house with Origen on April 5, when things were basically completely shut down. But we were still able to get multiple full asking price offers within days, and saved money at closing by using Origen. I worked with Cassie both times and she is just phenomenal. We re hopefully in our forever home now, but I would absolutely use Origen if we ever needed to buy or sell again.

I talked to two agents at this location. The first one I didnt hear anything back after the initial phone call. Even when I texted back. I called again and got Taryn. Who I proceeded to get to find a home with. It was stressful more than it had to be, which is exactly what your trying to avoid. The issue is she didnt inform me of many of the financial burdens associated with home buying. Most of the footwork was left up to me and she really only sent me listings outside of my price range while I was left to shopping HAR and sending her my listings. She seemed very relucunt want to view homes. Attempted to push it out a few days . During the process, I wasnt informed of the risks of looking for a home in the 100 year flood plain and the extra cost associated with it. The agent wasnt even aware of what an elevation certificate was, different flood zones and their meanings. She just wasnt motivated. I have moved on to another agent who is highly motivated and who I feel represents my best interests. Update 7/22/20-- As you can see they decided to reply with screenshots that show a limited amount of the conversation. The defensive approach to a dissatisfied client in my opinion is a reflection of the lack of business etiquette and experience. Nobody reached out to clarify or justify or get to the bottom of the situation. Which would have obviously taken less time then creating the rebuttal online with screenshots .Most businesses try to correct a problem with a customer. I was not rude but expressed my dissatisfaction with the level of service received and to use the five star rating they have to deflect my feelings about my experience is merely forcing the finger to point back at me and shows a level of arrogance on their part that they couldnt have possibly done anything wrong. The response by this business is just a reflection of how out of touch they are with what customer service is. Im glad Origen Realty has a good reputation and good reviews, that doesnt mean I was satisfied with the knowledge and level of service I received. We recently moved to Baytown from across the country. My husband contacted Shae very early in our moving process, and he immediately jumped on board and was an amazing communicator from the beginning. We had a lot of questions about the general area, different neighborhoods as well as individual houses. Shae went above and beyond to answer all of our questions. Looking at houses from a completely different state can be difficult, but Shae was always eager to help in anyway he could... even offering to walk through houses we liked while FaceTiming us. Nothing was out of the question. He continued to be an amazing help when we finally arrived in TX, clearing his day for us so we could look at houses immediately. My wife and I contacted Shae to help us sell our home and find another. What we felt was a cosmetic fix to the front of our house turned out to be so much more. The brick fascia above the front entrance was cracked and sagging creating a huge safety hazard. After working with our builder who went above and beyond to take care of an issue that was well out of their warranty period, the entrance was fixed. Quite an extensive repair that cost us about 4 months. During this time Shae never bothered us with when, when, when. Instead, he completely understood the circumstances and offered any assistance he was able to provide. Once the home was repaired we found buyers and a deal was made. Shae really went to bat for us when some of the requests being made by the buyers were rather insulting. He was truly on our side and working for us. We then entered the search for a new home since we hadnt had much luck so far. Shae met us all the way in Conroe, TX to view a model home of a floorplan we were interested in building in the Mt. Belvieu area. We decided to go this route with the builder in the Cherry Creek Estates neighborhood. After a serious lack of communication and other issues we had with that builder, Shae once again went to bat for us and got our contract nullified and all our monies returned! So the search for a new home continued... Shae tirelessly met us here, met us there to view homes in the area. Each time pointing out possible issues lurking underneath which would end up costing us a small fortune if they turned out to be what he felt they could be. When we finally found the one, more misfortune was heading our way. Shae kept reassuring us things would be ok. We purchased the home, one of the easiest transactions there could have been in dealing with Shae and the folks at Cottar Realtors! A+++ service all the way through. This entire experience lasted us 8 full months and never once did Shae seem to lose his cool. Very knowledgeable, and professional the entire time! David and Christy Hammack

When my fiance and I needed help selling her house I found Cottar Realtors and Shae Cottar! We were both first time home owners and had never been through the process of selling a home. We were also in the process of planning a wedding, putting my place up for rent (becoming first time landlords), as well as buying a new home to start our life together!
