So the cashier at the drive-through, Aubrey does not know how to do her job. We got an order for four tender meals. She asked us what sides she told us that they had curly fries, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and okra since we were getting two plates we got curly fries and okra when we got our order and brought it home, we opened it up to see that we did not have any curly fries. They don t even offer curly fries and we were given some dirty rice ball. Also, we were not provided any straws for our drinks and silverware. I ordered ranch instead I got gravy. Somebody needs to go back and retrain Aubrey because she does not know how to provide the correct items. Why she said I didn t make the plate. You did select rice and put it on my receipts.

This would be the 1st time weve had their fingers, and they were . The batter and seasoning was on point. The fries couldve been fresher, but they were still ok, but the chicken made up for it in taste overall. Then their dirty rice was so good, I coulda swore I was having some of my great aunts or grandmas dressing. And to top it all off, we had drinks to go w/it. Yes, sir. Well definitely be going back. The service was hospitable, too, and courteous as well as patient. Ok, this was just posted the other day. But I digress, why?? Bc I was misled and bamboozled. The other day, when I wrote this review above, I thought things were going well. After getting food from them, why is it when you get home you feel as though something is wrong with your order but you got that reassurance from the girl/guy thats running the drive-thru at some places. Well the other day we got food and of course it was something wrong with my order. I ordered 5 chicken tender combo meals(6 pcs), and I was thorough with each one as to which sides all the way down to my drinks. Id asked for extra tenders, and I had been told that they were there, but they werent, and I only half of the order, not ALL of it was there. I asked for extra tenders bc they no longer sell the (8pcs) combo meals. So it shows on my receipt where I paid for the extra tenders only to not receive them, requested the (4 extras) and the catfish too, bc I bought them separately and I paid for them as well but they didnt give us our whole order. The drinks didnt taste like why they were sweet tea. It gave off a cinnamon taste. Then we went back today and basically went thru the same thing, just a different day. But this time we had a smaller order and we didnt get sweet tea we had no idea what the heck it was but it couldnt have been tea. They dont believe in giving you cutlery and napkins. They will charge you for stuff you dont even get, but youll pay for it, or better yet, hear someone running the drive-thru its in there and its not really there, oh my goodness I swear I thought they were gonna be way better than Bushs but I guess NOT!!!@#% Ive already made my better business complaint a d Ive called and sent a message to speak with someone in the corporate office or to be in contact with either a district Mgr or regional Mgr. So Im in hopes I dont have to do a charge back for all of this bc thus matter needs to be resolved, so Im lookin to speak with someone in upper mgmt.

Me and the family just recently got some wicked wings tonight the 24pc, They had a burnt taste to them, they felt under cooked, because the skin kept falling off of every piece. And they have no seasoning to them, It tastes so blind like we had to go in our cabinet and put seasoning on them. Usually this place is good at what they do I love the service but the quality of food tonight was diabolical. We throw away half the box becauseit felt undercooked. Best fried chicken in town hands down! Ive been to Canes, Popeyes, Churchs and KFC and none of them compare to Golden Chick and its because they cant beat the quality and customer service! The chicken is always juicy and it tastes good even without the sauce. However, the Sweet Baby Rays just makes it all that better. Their raspberry lemonade is also my favorite and they make it themselves. The inside of all of their locations are always clean and appealing, and Ive never had to wait too long for a meal! (And theyve never messed up my order) Also, the people who work here are actually really nice and dont look miserable like a lot of other fast food places Ive been to! Thats why theyre the overall best for me!

Update: visited this place recently and it seems they are back to serving good hot food. Maybe for a short time they lost their way, but may be back on track. Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. I really tried to give it a chance, but they continue to serve old and cold food. In the past they served everything hot and fresh, I mean all the time no matter what day or time, so so good. The last couple months everything has been just plain awful. Nasty cold small fish pieces, old chicken sandwiches that are tuff to eat. To top it off the sides are always cold or Luke warm at best. Did managment change or something because I will no longer waste my money hoping for the old Golden Chic to come back. While the staff is friendly, the food is not the business anymore.

The black woman with the black wig that s always up in a banana clip is very rude. Tonight she had a blue shirt on. Her bad energy infects the others. I placed an online order and sent my daughter to pick it up. She didn t check the bag and when she got home, my mac n cheese was missing. The night crew at the Ft. Hood location is always forgetting to put something in my bag (I eat here alot, but won t be doing so after today). Instead of me letting it slide like I normally do, I called and alerted them that I was coming to get it. The shift Mgr is horrible, props to the 3 employees that still work under her. She is rude to her crew and customers. I did an online order. The food was very good and hot. Luckily my husband checked the bags before he left because we were missing some items (we did have a large order) and after we got home we discovered we were still missing dressing for salad and a Mac and cheese. They were very nice and friendly inside he said. We didn t have any wait at 7pm on a Friday either, and it was busy. Chicken, fries, okra, and catfish were crispy and tasted great. Rolls are super good. We ll be back another time to eat, just make sure to check bags before leaving.

I would like to say that I Love Golden Chick. The variety of foods in their menu, hands down tops all of the rest of the chicken places in the area. No matter what time of the day I go in there, its spotless. Most of the time the employees are very nice, even under the pressure of all the customers orders. However, when I go there in the evening, I end up very angry and quite disappointed. I live in Copperas Cove and its very upsetting when you get back home to find that each of your orders are wrong. When I call the number on the receipt its not in service and the number on the Google search is automatically not reachable. I make sure that I check everything before I leave, but if anyone else goes, most of the time they end up bringing home a very messed up order. Last time I was charged for all white meat (which I know costs more) even though I asked for dark meat. The cashier hadnt learned the difference between the two types of meats. I ended up getting the right meat (dark meat) after bringing it to their attention, but I failed to check the receipt until I got home. This time my husband said that the person who took his order had a very unpleasant disposition and each of our orders were small cold pieces of legs and wings with the only one correct piece of dark thigh being under cooked (even thought we ordered all dark meat) and an incorrect drink. I am not happy with this kind of service and I feel very cheated. I guess I will just have to stick with visits during the day, if I can talk my husband into eating there again. Hes fed up with them and has vowed to not eat there at the killeen location ever again.

Me and my family love to go to Golden Chick. Tonight we decided to go thru drive-thru and get dinner. We sat waiting at the speaker box for 15 mins to order. When the person taking orders finally came, she said she was outside with an emergency. Apparently someones car was having issues. Then it took another 25 mins just to get our food. We werent the only ones waiting that long either. It seems that during the day the good crew can get the food at a good time. But when it comes to the night crew, they want to take their time and not care about customer service. I work in retail as well and know how to manage my team. This Gloden Chick needs good management at night. Then at the window the person taking the order repeated my order back and forgot to add the rolls I had ordered at the speaker box, then turns around to her crew and says that it was an add-on at the window. I wont go there at night anymore because the service sucks.

08/19/23 16:00 Lady on the intercom was very nice. The food was bland. No taste at all. Not even hot sauce could fix this. Fried okra was over cooked and hard and most definitely fried in old grease. As I am here right now waiting I also noticed they are handling money and the front then making the orders with no gloves nor washing her hands. After I mention it to a manager the lady washed her hands but then I keep watching and the manager is doing the same thing. Working drive thru, handling money then making food without gloves or a wash...very nasty

The food was good. I ordered the grilled 3 piece chicken. Had to go inside because the drive through was a long wait. The Internet did not work inside. Staff did greet me when I walked into the building. Traffic in this area is busy. Overall, good experience, I would try it again.

Just bought 2-3pc Roasted Chicken Meals w/Cole Slaw & Dirty rice,1-4pc spicy tenders meal w/french fries & 5 jalapenos...Had to wait for tenders ok thats fine...got our food & left....got home....No Cole slaw ok mistakes happen...BUT, THE 5 JALAPENOS IN THE CONTAINER ..EXPIRED YESTERDAY (SEE STICKER ON CONTAINER below)...On top of that the cashier looked at the container before putting in our bag...WTH!!!!!...Tried to call but no one answered...So here it is!!!!!!

I was in Killeen for some medical tests I had to have done - literally 2 hours away from home. I was starving afterwards and I love Golden Chick normally - so I stopped in thru the drive thru and ordered lunch. I asked for dark meat - which I always do. The girl on the intercom said Fried? To which my husband answered yes and she said well guess I am gonna have to tell him. Mind you its almost $10 for a combo meal - so we get back on the road and I open my meal - 2 legs - which were cold, no utensils for my mashed potatoes or napkins and the sweet tea I ordered was warm with hardly any ice. So, I didnt even get to eat my meal and had to stop up the road to buy something else.

Literally the worst customer service experience I ve ever had, first it took about 5 minutes for someone to take my order while everyone is watching me at the register, the lady watched me attempt to fill my cup with ice and noticed there was no ice coming out and just turned around, so I threw the cup in the trash. this place has no initiative not even to mention I was missing the side to my order. I love the food in general but after the service I received today I literally had to throw the food out of the window because I was so disgusted with the level of service I received today. Never going back to this golden chick on fort hood st. I think the managers should re-evaluate their employees.
