We arrived on Sunday night at 7pm only 5 tables plus us. After sitting at our table for 20 minutes we asked one of the waitresses if we could please get drinks as no one had even asked us what we wanted. She said sorry we re short staffed we ll get to you in a few minutes. We got up to leave and she said where are you going we told her somewhere else it s been 20 minutes and we still don t even have drinks and she said oh 20 minutes. Maybe the staff here should be retrained on customer service and serving this is absolutely ridiculous. We were not even acknowledged by staff until we asked if we could get drinks. Will definitely be taking our business somewhere else this evening and in the future.

Came in tonight, watched the bartender serve 3 orders of fajitas, came out of kitchen sizzling, we wait 20 minutes for our fajitas, no sizzling, rice and beans are luke warm, I can eat the steak, chicken and shrimp right off the platter ... not happpy and we found out that one of the managers waited on us...

Typical Tex-Mex. Nice salsa served along with a black bean dip. Enjoyed the mole chicken enchiladas. Small bits of the chicken were just a bit dried and the oil the tortillas were dipped in seemed to be a bit old. But the mole was really nice. Will continue to dine there.

The food was pretty good. The servers were clearly unhappy and not motivated. Ice tea with no ice. When asked for ice it came back with 2 cubes in the glass. Service was slow. One small bowl of chips for the table and they were hesitant to refill. The service and atmosphere was so strange I wont be back.

We enjoyed this restaurant with the bean dip, and their salsa. They had a live band which was a happy surprise which made the environment so much more fun. Their tortilla soup is amazing, so is their cheese dip and guac. My cousin got grilled cilantro lime chicken and that was delicious. My kids got enchiladas and nachos. We enjoyed our meal and we look forward to coming back. Cheers friends and check this place out there is something for everyone and you will be happy with all the flavors. Mediocre food at best. Horrible service even though only a handful of tables were occupied. The bartender was extremely rude and busy talking to wait persons who were ignoring their tables. Well never return, which is a shame because theyre located so close to home. Gave 1 star for a decent magarita. Hopefully, they will shut down and make way for another Mexican restaurant that cares about quality and service.

Bland. Everything is bland. The black bean dip that people praise in the reviews is very bland. The tomato salsa was decent and the most flavorful part of the meal. Also, damned expensive for tex mex with theor special plates running in the $20 range. Go to Taco Bueno. Get better food and save money. We had chicken enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, pork tamale, and crispy beef tacos. The tacos were a joke. The taco meat was the only thing with salt and it had too much. Shells were stale. You only get cheese, lettuce, and tomato as toppings. Everything else lacked seasoning, including what appeared to be canned queso. Service was inattentive and lackluster.

Lupe s Comida con Sabor in Keller has everything you re looking for, live music on the weekends, and weekly specials on food and drinks. And they offer free black bean dip to go along with their chips and salsa. I ordered the shrimp tacos which came with a side of rice and grilled veggies. I recently dined at Lupes Comida con Sabor in Keller and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, with attentive and prompt staff making us feel welcomed throughout our meal. The food was delicious, served hot and prepared in the traditional Tex Mex style that we love. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Lupes, and we are already looking forward to returning. It s hard to understand the logic of expanding this restaurant as they cannot take care of the business they have now. We went to the Keller facility today after church. The first thing we noticed was the small number of cars in the parking lot, but we have eaten there in the past and the food was pretty good. Inside were about 20 diners at approximately 6-7 tables, one hostess & 2 waiters. Service was very slow and when the food was delivered it was not hot. After sampling the food and realizing it was not hot, I picked up the plate & held it barehanded on the bottom and it was barely warm. The beef taco meat was also not hot. Excessive grease was on the taco & enchiladas. We sent it all back to the kitchen where it was reheated & returned to us. The tea glasses are $2.99 for relatively small glasses & we had to request a refill as the waitress did not notice they were empty. Our bill was $41. for two people for cold food & poor service. We will not be going back. UPDATE: After 11 months, no response by the restaurant to the above poor rating was ever posted. Hence, they just don t care about customer satisfaction.

I really like this place. I go occasionally with my neighbors. They have a traditional salsa and a black bean salsa I love to mix. Their food is good and they have really good margaritas as well. I had an issue one time where I didnt receive service for nearly twenty minutes of sitting, but it seemed to be an isolated incident and they did offer me free drinks. Unfortunately I wasnt drinking at the time. Went again this evening and Casey was my server. Not sure if I spelled their name right but shes an amazing server.

Elderly dad picked up an order of enchiladas for Christmas dinner and was given an order that could not have been more wrong. When we called to ask about it we were to told that we were out of luck and they wouldn t do anything to make it right. $130 for Christmas enchiladas we didn t eat and a local restaurant taking advantage of an elderly man. Merry Christmas indeed. We looked past the over priced food in the past in order to support a local business but we will no longer.

Dropped in to have a quick bite about 45 minutes before closing time. Noone greeted me until the bartender/boss finally got up from the booth he was sitting at when I asked if they were really still open. I then sat at the bar and ordered a tortilla soup to start and asked for a menu. Then another waitress came to take my order, who was very sweet and helpful. In the meantime I watched the bartender sit back down in the booth with 2 ladies, never putting in my order for the soup, nor did he offer me water or any drink for that matter. He leaves with the ladies. I ordered the Fajita enchiladas, but the cheese inside the enchiladas was disgusting. It was super greasy and had a really rank taste. Ive eaten here a few times before and it was decent, but not this time. I also returned a mango margarita that had a really bad taste, and I dont waste alcohol, but it was so gross I just couldnt. The inside has been remodeled, to feature a really nice bar, and the two girls that helped me after the boss man left were wonderful! But chairs already up on top of one side of that bar and the unprofessionalism of the bartender, not to mention the quality decline in the food and drink left a really bad taste in my mouth, literally.

Fantastic restaurant! We have come here quite a few times, and it has been fantastic every single time! This time we came with a large group, and they do take reservations! They were very accommodating and had great staff. The food is always outstanding. The chips, salsa, and black bean dip are always phenomenal. The enchiladas, rice and beans are supreme. I cannot rave enough about the house. Margarita, though! It is by far my favorite restaurant margarita. You cannot go wrong. They taste good are large and strong. They are doing some remodeling. It is our family s favorite Mexican restaurant. They have another location off Central and 183 in Bedford. It is the same quality and service also. We love both. Met friends there for dinner, was here once before about 10 years ago . Now I remember why we didn t return .. 1st .bathrooms were probably top 3 worst restaurant bathrooms I ve ever been in. 2nd . Service was not the best, lady told us they didn t have happy hour but had close to happy hour prices so my wife ordered a margarita and when we got our bill it was $13 .. I don t call that even close to happy hour prices .. 3rd . Very slow at taking drink orders, delivered drinks along with the meal and 4th .. I m always hesitant when a server doesn t write down the orders, and of course she messed up our friends simple combo beef chicken order ( brought chicken only) and when they finally did get the beef fajita meat (15 minutes later) it wasn t cooked thoroughly because of rushing to get it out to them. So over all .. all 3 of the margaritas were not made that well, food order messed up and overall just terrible dining experience. We won t return. .. neither will our friends.

The most horrible service. We decided to try Lupe s again. Their service was so bad in the past we took them off our list. We heard someone had good service with a waiter named Carlos. So we went today. Carlos was not there. Once again, we had horrible service. It took asking 4 times to get a lemon for my tea. No refills on chips, hot sauce, and drinks until I got up and asked the manager if we could get a new waitress. He came back and said she would be out in a minute that they were very busy. I m not sure how that could be since there were only 3 other tables of people in the restaurant. We had to ask for our checks, then after giving them to us she never came back. My niece took them to the manager and he just waited until the waitress came to get them. My fajitas were horrible. My sisters and 2 nieces enchiladas were cold. DETAILS ANYBODY??? Not a single reviewer has mentioned new ownership or management. Lupes Tex-Mex on Rufe Snow closed a few months ago (for a few months), for lease signs were displayed. It reopened a few months ago. Exterior looks exactly the same. Before it closed it was pretty terrible. Who owns/manages this place now? How does it compare? Does anybody have details, menu etc. they could share? Would like to try again if better but hesitant to spend money there if it s as bad is it had become pre-closure.

I just got an order today. They packed the salsa in a container with a solid top. Too bad they did not do the same with the queso. Instead, its all over everything in the bag, and soaked through the chip bag so the paper disintegrated into the cheese sauce. I called them, and it took 3 tries before I reached anyone (and their mailbox is full), asked to speak with the manager, and he told me to hold on .. then I was disconnected. We unfortunately had a pretty unpleasant experience at Lupe s tonight. It started out a bit poorly that the waitress didn t take drink orders for half of the table until she came back with the drinks from the other half of the table that had already ordered. The chips tasted super off, like they had been fried in old oil and had a really bitter aftertaste. We told the waitress and she brought more, but they tasted exactly the same. I had ordered shrimp enchiladas and after the food arrived and I had taken a few bites, I realized that they were spinach and not shrimp. The waitress said it would be a quick fix to get a new dish, but by the time the shrimp ones arrived everyone else at the table was almost finished with their food. I had been so hungry and so a few people at the table offered to share some of their plates since the chips were essentially inedible and I had to wait so long. And the wait was not worth it as the enchiladas were very average, and I would not order again. We also ordered sopapillas at the end, which arrived burnt and also tasted bitter at the end like the chips. Probably fried in the same old oil as the tortilla chips. Based on this experience, none of the 7 of us at dinner are planning to return to this place. The waitress was nice and was trying, but the service was not good and the food also left a lot to be desired, especially for the price.

I notice everyone before us were waiting also for there food also. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but it was super slow. This won t stop us from going back because the food is good. But if it continues we will have to look elsewhere for good Mexican food.

Our server was very kind buy it often found myself looking for him. The food was bland we had a sampler plate for an appetizer and the chicken tasted boiled or canned not sure which. The brisket was food and had flavor ( from the peppers and onions) the fajita meat was basic not including tip out meal was almost $80....In the future I will go to one of our favorite restaurants( Baja Cantina) where $80 is worth it.

We have been here several times and each time the quality is declining. This last time we were seated at a booth but had to move because the table wobbled so bad. The second booth had badly ripped seats and when we asked to have the table wiped off due to feeling sticky, we were told it wouldn t help, just old tables. Food is okay, just not worth the price when you take all the extraneous things into consideration. Hope they can use some of their funds in invest in fix seats and at least cover tables with tablecloth or butcher paper.

Waited for about 10 min to get chips.close to another 10 for a waiter that never came. Asked for help from another one and he said to give him a minute. Saw him talking to a waitress about our table and I heard her say noone told me about it in spanish. Ummm how do you not know which are your tables? She had walked by us a few times and even afterwards did not stop to take our drinks or asked if we had been helped, couple after us got their drinks and all. Even as we were getting up to leave she walked by like nothing. Not bothering with this restaurant we only went bc it is close to home. We had the ame experience here precovid. Clearly nothing has changed.

The main waitress doesnt understand English, the other waitress that does has a child or children whom are allowed to have an iPad or some device that was turned up so loud and there were 2 other children that were screaming , what a horrible place for lunch and I wont be back. I believe that the Restaurant owner was on his laptop and ignored everything. Now, I have eaten there for dinner without the kids, food is good.

We had dinner here tonight and had Natalie as our server. Incredible service and great food! Nat even noticed us using sign language with our daughter and squatted down to initiate a conversation with her using ASL. We haven t received that level of attentiveness and compassion at any restaurant ever and will be coming back for that reason alone! Thank you so much!

There was only one other family there when we went and it took about 15 min for them to acknowledge us and ask for our drink order. Food portions were extremely small and not very tasty. And the cost of eating at a 5 star steak house. My salad had about 10 lettuce leaves and about one teaspoon of taco meat and about 7 shreads of cheese. Once the waitress attended us it was a little better my spouse loved his mole enchiladas.

OK place. Saving grace was the bean dip. that was good. I had the carne asada. Flank steak was chewy and not very flavorful. Not much of a grilled presence, almost like it was precooked and then warmed up prior to being served. Service was pretty bad although they did have a sign saying that they were understaffed and apologized in advance for the delays.

Lupes USED to be our place to go out to eat. Now they charge for EVERY little thing. We quit going a while back because the service and food had declined tremendously. Today we decided to get take out. A Fajita salad, chili relleno, and a side of rice and beans. My salad was very scarce barely any meat at all. My beans were mainly juice and barely any beans. The wait staff on the phone was very short and rude. Then i arrived 10 minutes after i called (They told me 15) and my food was always up front for i dont Know how long. The waiter asked what i needed, told him pick up a to go order and laid down the receipt and walked off. So rude and VERY HIGH PRICED!! We won t be returning until some real change happens. Neighbors please let them know your unhappy so these issues get addressed and corrected.

Life is full of second chances, right? Well, we tried Lupes...again. The second booth from the kitchen on the metal wall, do not sit there. Springs were coming through and by the time we were halfway finished, I had to stand up just to get some relief. I would rather sit on a 5 gal. Bucket. They werent real busy, but the waitstaff was getting everything mixed up. The order, sides, torts, sauces, everything. She even had difficulty running my card while paying. The food was questionable. Beef Fajitas that were flank steak (yes, I know, the usual cut for Fajitas) but this was...lets just say extra chewy at best. Now I prefer my steak cooked rare, but Fajitas? No. This was undercooked even for me. It was cut in a peculiar way. The cheese (grated Sharp Cheddar) was on the edge of moldy. The overall experience was not good at all. Im trying really hard to find something positive here. Oh, the air conditioning worked. It was hot outside and it felt great inside.

So annoying to go to a restaurant 50 minutes before closing and after you order you start finding out about things theyve run out of. If youre going to run out of salsa and black bean dip (you know...black bean dip is kind of one of your signature items) before you close...maybe you need to change your closing time to an earlier one to accommodate? I would recommend to not go here within an hour or so of their closing. Staff is checked out (slow service in an empty restaurant) and they might be out of the basics.
