Absolutely amazing! Ive fought for years for my daughter that was taken from me ..she stepped in took over got it handled and after years of fighting I got full custody! Shes absolutely amazing I literally owe my life to this woman! Missed so many years we finally get them back all because of HER! SHES absolutely the best ever will fight for you I gave up she believed in ME I got my baby shes the happiest shes been now! My baby and me are complete now because of HER! Get her NOW!!!!!!!! Buyer beware. A terrible experience. Divorce is hard enough as it is. However, when you have an attorney that doesn t respond to calls or emails for weeks, says they ll do something but never get around to it and even worse gives you misinformation to have you sign a poor settlement agreement, it makes it even harder. Ms Alexander inherited my case in March 2022 and up to Feb 2023, I was worse off than where I had started. We took steps backwards instead of forward and there was no empathy or concern about items that were important to me or that my life was on hold while nothing was moving. Communication was limited, and mostly via email. In 1 year, we had at best 2 Zoom conversations, maybe 2 phonecalls and one of those was my consultation. There were also a few no call, no show instances for meetings requested. Recommendations from family and friends who were also attorneys were to report her to the bar but because I had already paid a large retainer, I had concerns on getting zero return on what had already been paid. After too many professional mishaps, I lost confidence in her and found that it was cheaper and less stressful to fire her and get another attorney who solved my issue in 6 weeks. I couldn t in good conscience recommend anybody to this attorney as she proved to be an even bigger adversary/barrier than my ex. It was so bad I asked for a refund which is still pending. Despite her poor performance, it is not an indication of BHW Law Firm as I had worked with BHW on another case and they were superb. What was missing from Ms Alexander is empathy, ownership and basic soft skills needed for success.

Never let this attorney Laura B. Alexander represent you. If I could give 0 stars I would, 0/10 would not recommend. Her representation is weak and she treats their minority clients less than acceptable. Laura B. Alexander is not a fair attorney and can t even hold a decent conversation with clients. She feels intimidated by people of color especially African Americans and has a poor communication and a poor sense of judgment. DO NOT hire her for ANYTHING. You have been warned

I found Laura by researching for legal help regarding divorce/ family law. I told her my story, what I was hoping for (outcome) and she answered any questions that I had over the course of our time working together. She was very responsive, clear and helpful. I was very worried throughout my situation but she was consistent, supportive, and reassuring. I felt like she had the best interest of myself and my family. I got more than the outcome I was hoping for. If anything is to come up in the future, I ll be going back to Laura.

Laura is such a great lawyer and Im so glad I hired her! I felt peace and relief being at BHW with Laura since she seemed very professional and knowledgeable regarding my case. I had such a traumatic experience with my past husband and trying to get my daughter back was a nightmare, but she really helped reassure me that she would do her best to help me, and she has. I have my daughter with me and I have Ms. Alexander to thank for it. The paralegal Lesa was also very helpful and sweet and everyone is so nice there. She helped turn my case around after I had been sadly told my case would not succeed previously by my former attorney. She has a gift for practicing law. She is very calm and kind with strong integrity while also having a formidable backbone of steel and strategic intellect while in court. I do feel confident that anyone who chooses Laura will not be disappointed because she is very high quality and committed to fighting hard for my case that was difficult and had a lot of subtleties. I feel I got a really good lawyer not just a mediocre one. Laura is excellent in the courtroom since she expertly performs under pressure because she knows exactly what to do and she is highly respected by her peers. She works very hard and really cares for her clients. She really turned my situation around for the better amd Im not sure if my case would have went well without her help. My daughter is very happy with me having custody right now. I am still awaiting the final outcome but I feel it has gone really well so far.

She is concise and able to grasp all the nuances of a difficult situation without the need to explain all the painful details. She is 100% dedicated to looking out for the most vulnerable in a divorce, the children. I felt reassured by her whenever we spoke.
