This place lives up to its high star rating. My son and I visited for lunch and were not disappointed. We started with the garlic cheese bread with a beautifully robust marinara sauce. Then a slice of the 22 pizza that was too big to pick up and eat. We also tried the lasagna that was constructed to perfection. We will be back as often as possible.

The taste, toppings are great. However, they can NEVER make the pizza CRISPY! This is my 3rd attempt of ordering pizza, and asking them, in person twice, to make it crispy! Pizza comes out, most slices soggy, some kinda crispy! Why is it so hard to make it crispy??

This was our first time going to Politanos and we were highly impressed. Nice, clean atmosphere, tastefully decorated with a sign on the wall that says, Arrive as guests, leave as friends. We found this to be absolutely accurate. The food was homemade & it tasted fresh & flavorful! The sauces were mouth-watering! The desserts added just the right tough to finish off our meal too. Andy was our server & he was on point with everything. Reka also came out & visited with us to make us truly feel welcomed. We will DEFINITELY be back! 5 STARS

This restaurant is the definition of hole-in-the-wall authentic Italian. Literally, it is owned by an Italian family, and their food is great. The salads are freshly chopped and not from a bag. The entrees are delicious. The table with my party got different entrees and they all looked great and filling. When you come here, you will not leave feeling like you didnt eat enough

Pizza was mediocre at best. Just over loaded with Ricotta to the point where the dough under it was still raw even though it was well done underneath. Service was a bit slow (and seemed to be a bit of a language barrier), but no real complaints as the best things in life are worth waiting for! Love the food here. Great pasta, great pizza. Carbonara is a must try! Garlic bread is great. Service is great as well. You wont regret it. My only feedback would be for the restaurant to add tamper-proof seals or stickers on pizza box / food packaging when food is ordered via uber eats or door dash. Would show that restaurant is invested in the integrity of the food and it being delivered just as was prepared. Keeps Food for thought .

This pizza spot is really good, taste, ingredients, etc. what they lack in, is following order instructions. Told them a list of ingredients on the pizza and to make it crispy, didn t do that. 2nd time went back, reiterated the instructions, STILL incorrect. I don t want to come back, wait another 20 min for pizza. Just follow simple instructions which is written out. Also, they don t speak English well, so there s a language barrier.

First time here and it was AMAZING. Some of the most authentic Italian food I ve had in Dallas. It is not all heavy cream and tons of cheese. The mushroom tortellini is delicious. Had such a wonderful experience working with Politano s for a department lunch. Ordered a large amount of pizzas for the next day (40 pizzas), and they did not hesitate at all when saying they could do it! I was worried I wouldn t be able to find somewhere that could accommodate a large amount in such short notice. The workers on the phone were very helpful and nice. Delivery went smoothly and the delivery guy was very friendly. They even accommodate us needing two different delivery times. As for the pizza it was AMAZING! It really doesn t get any better than Politano s. There were so many compliments on the pizza and everyone wanted to know where it was from. I will for sure be ordering from Politano s again!

This pizza place was where I went with my in laws and grandparents. My FIL loves pizza so we were trying something new and stumbled on this store. I was super psyched to try this place out. a friend recommended it and said they were a good pizza. The crust was chewy and not crunchy. It was a New York style Pizza. The flavors were a little sweet but it was edible. I am probably spoiled because I have had great pizza in my life but it wasnt terrible it was just a pizza with not much flavor and a little undercooked. Has a decent amount of toppings. Smelled delicious and the host was very friendly and recommended a good cheesecake which we bought and gladly ate. The cheesecake was creamy and fluffy not overly sweet. The place has a dinner feel to it so if your into that, its a great place to hang out.

Stopped in for a carry out order for a lunch special 10 pizza. The gentlemen taking my order was pleasant and friendly. I ordered a half cheese and half sausage pizza. When opening the box I was concerned but after that first bite I was surprised by the fresh taste of basil and garlic that was presented in the tomato sauce. The sausage was a little bland for me and the appearance was not desirable so I am glad I only did that on half the pizza. I have been a customer for 3 years, I go every Friday or Saturday to eat pizza with my family. Lately, the two waiters had been serving poorly, not giving refills, not bringing the dishes (the last time we all ate the pizza with our hands). The last time I went I obviously didnt leave a tip, the attention was shameful. Today I went with my family since I was 3 weeks ago and they didnt want to take care of me and they kicked me out. I love this place! Reka was a wonderful server and of course the food was amazing as always. They have the best sauces of any Italian place I ve ever been to, and the lobster ravioli has been my favorite dish since the first time I visited. Tonight my mom and I tried the caprese salad, and the tomatoes were so fresh. The prices are very reasonable too. Everyone I ve ever taken here has loved it too, from the complimentary hot rolls to the fantastic key lime pie. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Politano s.

Garlic Knots were the softest garlic knots with the crunchy crust and hint of garlic- just perfect. The staff was very nice and friendly. Veggie pizza was really delicious. Cheese raviolli very creamy and fantabulous with an amazing sauce.

Having lived in the northeast most of my life, it s been hard to find good Italian food in the metroplex area. The food here is average at best. Service is decent but why it has a 4.7 average rating is shocking to me. Either people have no clue what good Italian food is or their fingers slipped when selecting the stars. There s much better options out there than this. Pretty disappointing. Dietary restrictions: Only gluten free option is pizza.

Food was great! Baked ziti and calzone were delicious. My husband had Stromboli and he loved it. I really recommend this place. Even the staff was very friendly. Vegetarian options: Baked ziti, and Calzone. There is eggplant parmigiana as well but I havent tried that dish yet.

The bar stools are extremely uncomfortable. The food was just basic. It tasted like any lasagna I would get from any other place or any frozen section. It says a lot that I don t even remember visiting the first time. I was looking for somewhere to eat online and thought I never tried this place that s right across the street from my job. When I walked in, I realize that I had been there before, which means the food wasnt terrible, because Id remember that, but it also meant that it was forgettable. Also, i never had a round sideways lasgna!!!!

Used to be good. Went today with coworkers. One had raw noodles, two had overcooked pasta. Sent the undercooked pasta back and got more undercooked pasta back. My marsala was horrible. The chicken was overseasoned, the pasta was overcooked, the sauce had a gel like consistency like it was frozen, then thawed out in the microwave. Horrible.

Its a shame not to have a Michelin option in the rating. I almost want to keep it to myself and not tell anyone else lol, I almost feel like I ate at an Italian grandmas house. Anyway, my opinion of this place is that I am simply ecstatic with its food, I have never tried a better Italian restaurant than this one and I have tried many, it will be difficult to rate the others after Politanos. I tried the lasagna (OMG the flavor), the baked zite (with added chicken), salad and house rolls. I would have eaten more but I was so full! Ill be back
