Hudson House, is a gem for seafood lovers, and their lobster roll is a standout dish that deserves special mention. Nestled in a cozy yet vibrant setting, Hudson House offers a delightful dining experience that combines East Coast charm with Texas hospitality.

Came in at about 5pm. Place was busy in the bar for HH, but otherwise was dead in the restaurant. Attitude from the host and the server gave us the feeling they were too good for us. We left. Dont need to be treated like that. Word to the wise, go elsewhere...

Hudson House is an amazing place to go with a large group. Their food & drinks selection is nice. We just snacked on their avocado dip & popcorn chicken. Frozen Bellini drink was so strong, French 75 & lemon drop martinis also really good! Would love to be back for dinner soon!

This is a cute place. I ve seen them but never been. I took my youngest for her 20th birthday for a quick dinner. It was crowded but we were seated right away. The waiter came and helped us decide on drinks and was very attentive. Lots of mixed company between families, business folks, date nighters, etc. so it was a great pick all around. I ordered the salmon which came with seasonal vegetables ( lol). She had chicken parm with spicy pasta. Both were your general fair but had a little twist to make them unique to this restaurant. They were both good. I had an old fashioned with makers mark. Nothing spectacular but it did the job lol. My daughter had a mocktail that tasted like cherry coke may e without the fizz meh. I don t remember what it was. They only had two non-alcoholic the one she had and the Chris & Ginger. She opted for lemonade so yeah. They have a raw oyster bar if that s your thing. Overall, it was a good experience so we ll be back and try some other dishes. Oh, if you are like us and get chilly, bring a light wrap or sweater we did and that made it pleasant. Enjoy!

I usually dust off bad service and move on however in this case when we are standing in the lobby with 4 children in tow and we are told a booth of 6 is an available. We get ready to get seated then suddenly the booth is no longer available. And hostess makes an appeal to Assistant Manager Luz Velasquez and she comes over to inform us that the booth is not available with no apology just blaming the hostess for making a mistake. Manager Luz Velasquez didn t even make a real effort to see how she could accommodate us. And apparently there was a group in the back that was done eating but just still sipping on drinks yet she told us it was going to be another 30 mins. Honestly I was pretty shocked and disappointed as we really like the Hudson House brand and very disappointed by such unprofessional and uncaring management. Maybe discriminating of people with children? Families be careful.

Sat at bar for lunch. At nice restaurants, I don t think guests should have to ask for basics such as a straw, sweeteners or lemon. I ordered an iced tea, so you d think the above items would be common sense to at least ask a guest if they want? I had to ask for all 3! Bar staff came off like you are an afterthought to them! It did not feel welcoming or attentive at all. Yes, it s busy, but it felt like I was having to work to get attention and bare minimum service. I ordered the spicy popcorn chicken & truffle fries. On a positive note, chicken breading and taste was flavorful and dipping sauces were excellent, particularly their honey mustard. Truffle fries were also good. The shock given the abysmal service is to pay almost 31 dollars pre-tip for fries, popcorn chicken & an iced tea. The food was great, but not great enough to justify the cost with bad service. I d say my food was 7-8 dollars overpriced compared to similar establishments. The service at Charleston s in Fort Worth or Doc Bs is much more attentive and prices are lower! I will likely not be back, at least not to this location.

Beautiful decor. It was advertised as a quiet restaurant but the acoustics were terrible, and the staff seemed frantic. Food was average. My burger was still quite pink though ordered well done. In their defense it was business lunchtime. They have great potential. We really do need a quiet restaurant with Hudsons elegance. Keep working on it. I might try again.

This place has to be the absolute most worst service I have ever experienced. Not only did I wait over 10 minutes to be served at the bar, I spoke with one of the managers and she said that everyone must be busy to help And did not bother to help. I am a black woman and a white man came in after me and was served instantly. Im not saying that this place is racist but I am saying its giving racist. Additionally, I had one drink at the bar I want to get another one however I was at these restaurant for 40 minutes and only twice did someone serve me and I had to ask for it! Additionally, no one bothered to apologize for the weights. They were not busy at all.. the girls and guy were just standing at the bar talking and chillin. Sadly this was not a good experience

The thing that really elevated our experience was the world class customer service that our server Andy provided. He was well mannered, his recommendations were spot on from the beverages to the food. The fish tacos are the star of the show. The pickled onions with the Cole slaw with the lightly fried fish! Aww and the green sauce on the side! Chef s kiss! If you ever go definitely try the fish tacos! You won t be disappointed. I am now a loyal customer because of my experience at this location.

In my mind Hudson House is sort of the spiritual successor to Houstons, and while not as good its pretty close in many respects. The oyster bar is probably my favorite aspect, especially since the nearby Fish City Grill closed. The happy hour deal is especially good at $2 a pop. Entrees are solid from the cheeseburger, French chicken, to the Beverly salad. That being said its a notch below what Houstons was, especially with regard to the proteins. Its relatively spendy, but not outrageous. Also could use something like fish and chips on the menu to round things out. While a modest criticism I also feel there are too many remoulades, even the burger is doused heavily as is the lobster roll. I particularly prefer Maine style with just huge chunks of lobster and copious amounts of butter versus a slathering of mayonnaise. The interior was nicely converted from the prior taco diner, and it was a tasteful conversion.

This was my first time ever at Hudson House restaurant, especially the one in the Las Colinas area. When we first came in, we were not greeted at all. So the mood was already off. We got seated right away, it was lunch time but it was not too busy. We sat down and got our menus, and were told that our server would be with us soon, except things went a bit downhill from there. Two tables near us got sat down and immediately got their server and were asked for their drink of choice. Keep in mind they were not large parties. I was mindful but 15 minutes passed and no one came to us until I went inside. I felt that if I didn t say anything , I think they might of forgotten about us. Server came and took our full order since we were ready. She came with our drinks and she knocked over my drink on me, which was not a big deal. Thank goodness it was not dark colored because I was wearing white. Accidents happen and she was sweet enough not to charge us for the drinks except she did not have a new one made for me. The drink was like 1/3 done after the spill. Overall the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and enjoyable. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and I would rate that 6 out of 10. I would rate my experience about a 2 just because of what went down in the beginning. I would like to try give it another chance. I work in customer service, so the greeting of a customer is very important because that sets the mood for the overall visit.

I ordered Parmesan fries and my fourth bite in I pulled a long hair out of my mouth! I understand things happen but when I told the bartender he said thank you for letting me know; not even an apology. Mind you the fries were not even 3/4ths done. My wife and I had a disheartening experience at Hudson House in Las Colinas on Christmas Eve. Our evening began positively with delicious oysters and well-made drinks. However, as soon as our entrees arrived, the night deteriorated. Under the mistaken belief that the kitchen closed at 8 pm (the restaurant stopped seating at 8 pm), the staff rushed us throughout our entire meal. After delivering our entrees, our server dropped the check on our table and said, Can I get you anything for dessert? This miscommunication led to further disappointment when my Shrimp Dynamite sushi was served extremely cold. Contrary to proper sushi serving etiquette, where sushi should be at room temperature, it seemed hastily refrigerated rather than at room temperature. The apex of our dissatisfaction was our interaction with the General Manager. Instead of understanding and rectifying the situation, his approach was aggressive and dismissive. His lack of empathy and rudeness, especially when we raised concerns about being rushed and the improperly served dish, significantly marred our experience. The GM kept saying, What do you want?... What do you want from me? Trust me when I say we were not trying to get a discount or any part of our meal for free. Having been in the restaurant business, the best feedback you can get is from your customers. But he had yet to listen to my feedback. His lack of professionalism was astounding. I finally said, I want you to leave our table and leave us alone. That is how bad his attitude was. I could not believe how poorly he acted to my wife and me. Overall, what we anticipated to be a romantic Christmas Eve dinner turned into a frustrating experience, starkly contrasting with our previous positive experiences at the Hudson Houses North Dallas location. If I were a stakeholder, investor, or managing partner of this location, I would call to see what happened with the dining service on Christmas Eve. In summary: go to a different location. This location is currently not worth your time and money.

I was thrilled to know that a Hudson house was in my neighborhood, but this location is a stain on the name and reputation of HH. I ve been to location multiple times and each time I m left disappointed. This is clearly a failure on management given the recurring theme. Most recently the food was brought out without clearing the table, there was no where to eat. It wasn t just our table that I noticed this, and it wasn t due to how busy the restaurant was. It s not like I went to chilies, but I suppose this is the new Hudson house, on par with chilies. I d rather have went to chilies tbh.

Would love to give 5 stars, but just can t. They keep this place so cold, even the manager had a coat on. Worst entry points I have ever seen at a restaurant. They have 3 places to enter and people use all 3. It s like being in a wind tunnel. Why do that to people? It doesn t stream line anything, nor provide better accessibility. This company has grown too fast and they are losing part of who they are. Changing wine menu and not changing the paper menu makes no sense. Why tell people you don t have something anymore? We spent $300 at lunch with wine and champagne. Staff is always good, but management is so hands off. We have eaten here at least 40 times and not one time has a manager ever said a word. So weird.

We always love Hudson House!! Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Parmesan Chicken, Hudson Salad & the Cheeseburger are favorites. Martinis/cocktails are always great as well. We tried the pressed sushi this time for something new - would not order again. The rice was very hard and cold. All other components were great but the rice really made the whole thing pretty unappetizing. It was as if the sushi had been prepared ahead of time and removed from the refrigerator immediately before delivering to the table. I believe that sushi is normally prepared to order and the rice is not meant to be ice cold.

Spent $100+ for food poisoning. We ordered several entrees and appetizers, but we suspect the culprit was the salmon crispy rice. The rice was cold and the salmon was warm. Something just wasnt right about it. We couldnt tell our server, however, because she disappeared for the entirety of our entire meal. We proceeded with caution and ate the unusually warm salmon anyways. A monumentally stupid mistake on our part. The night from hell that has ensued after leaving this place has been graphic, to say the least. Its really unfortunate that this dinner cost us a small fortune and also managed to ruin our weekend. We will not be returning.

Had brunch here on October 7 and was double charged $137.58. I discovered this three days later and contacted the restaurant and they told me to call and contest the charges on my credit card because six or seven other people called with the same problem and there was some issue with their system they couldnt figure out because they only show one charge. First, this is completely unacceptable and I will never go to this restaurant again because I cant trust them with payment since they double charged me and didnt do anything to make it right Second, I have enough background in business and finance, and banking to know that the restaurant most certainly could do something about this, and chose not to. I would advise everyone reading this review to never go to this place, because of the fact that you cannot trust them with your credit card and that they double charged me and multiple other people on October 7.

Their tuna sushi is amazing and they have great selection of oysters! Finally, their drinks are out of this world! Be careful their drinks are strong so drink responsibly!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during our recent visit to Hudson House Las Colinas on September 4th. Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by a significant issue that I believe requires your attention. During our visit, my wife and I ordered a meal that included French fries. Regrettably, we were unaware that the French fries were prepared in the same fryer as shellfish, which posed a severe allergy risk for my wife. As a result, she experienced a severe allergic reaction, including itching and a constrained throat. Despite alerting our waiter about the situation and the allergic reaction my wife was experiencing , we were disappointed by the lack of immediate response from your staff. We expected that the restaurant would take appropriate measures to address the situation, ensure my wifes safety, and rectify the experience. A Chef came over and saw us yet did not say anything. We asked for the manager to be informed but never came over, and our waiters response was to expedite the check and rush us out of the restaurant. We were deeply dismayed by the lack of acknowledgment of the issue and the inadequate response from the restaurant. This incident not only put my wifes health at risk but also left us with a negative impression of the customer service at Hudson House Las Colinas. We believe it is essential for a restaurant to prioritize the safety and well-being of its guests, particularly when it comes to handling allergies and dietary restrictions. We had hoped for a more considerate and proactive approach in addressing this incident. We kindly request that you take this matter seriously and review your restaurants protocols and training to ensure that incidents like this do not occur in the future. We believe that better awareness and responsiveness to allergy-related issues can significantly improve the overall dining experience for all customers. We hope that this feedback will help you enhance the quality of service at Hudson House Las Colinas and prevent similar situations from happening to others in the future. We look forward to your response and any steps you plan to take to address this matter. Thank you for your attention to this important issue. Sincerely, Scott Shute

I was expecting what I had the last time but at a different location. This was very busy, so maybe that was part of it. Our party of six, were sat at a round table that had us all squished in making the entire lunch uncomfortable. The food was great, I had the rockfish. I may come back for a date night but not lunch with friends.

This is one of our favorite go to restaurants with our out of town guests. Ambience is a unique & classy, classic diner feel. Servers are very polite, knowledgeable about the menu. Service stands out, top notch. Now, my full disclosure: I am NOT a fan of oysters. But something special about Hudsons oysters, tasty without the seafood aftertaste. Its a must have! We devoured the Lobster roll, French chicken, seared tuna salad, Our kids fought over the steak frites cup, mac & cheese. It was a magical ending with the key lime pie. As a Floridian, I do know my key lime pies Each time we leave Hudsons looking forward to returning for more. My only complaint is the far drive. Would yall please consider opening in Mansfield? Just sayin. Will be back for more!

My husband and I s first time trying the Hudson House for brunch today. Honestly we were pleasantly surprised. For a full house we were seated quickly, served our food quickly as well and had no trouble hearing each other as it wasn t too loud. We ordered the avocado dip, classic lox, and eggs benedict with smoked salmon for brunch. Everything was presented beautifully, and was so fresh and flavorful. I really loved the red tomatoes in the Classic Lox. Wish we had taken a picture of the food, but I didn t think I d be this blown away to need one. The service was incredible. Perceived our needs before we even knew them. We asked our waiter a question about the tomatoes we really loved and he came back and told us exactly where they get them. We will definitely be coming back!

Not a lot of 5 Star restaurants in Irving. This is one of them. We ve passed this place dozens of times since it opened. Super glad we tried it today for lunch. It s pricey but worth the visit. Their specialty is oysters and seafood. We ordered the firecracker shrimp appetizer. Great flavor and not as spicy as I thought it could have been. We also ordered the Lobster Roll and the Fish Tacos and my wife and I shared them to get a taste of both. And they were delicious! Good lunch portion size. Amazing service! I loved the atmosphere.. like a really nice upscale place in NYC or DC. But more floorspace Easy parking. Outdoor seating available. Make a reservation but bar seating is usually available.

We made a same day reservation for a Friday night dinner - I highly recommend making a reservation. The place was packed upon arrival but we were seated pretty quickly. Despite being packed, it didn t feel too loud. We were able to hold a conversation without interference. Hudson House makes a mean martini, and their Paloma was delightful as well. We went all in and started with the seafood bouquet. The oysters were fresh and flavorful and the shrimp huge. It was a lot of food and worth the $95. For entrees we shared the lobster roll and redfish. We couldn t decide which was better. You receive a decent amount of lobster in the roll. For desert we unfortunately missed out on the last key lime pie for the day, but their chocolate silk pie was still amazing. It was incredibly rich so I highly recommend sharing it. Their waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. We felt well taken care of. Overall it was a great experience, as expected from Hudson House, and we look forward to visiting again.

The fish tacos are perfection. They come with Jack s salad which is fresh. The chipotle remoulade that accompany the tacos is delicious. The chocolate silk pie was a hit for our family. Ours was a large party and we were so grateful for our servers who took good care of us especially Mia who helped take group photos. This restaurant has ample parking and patio seating. Food is amazing, high price, but the food is worth it! However, if you would like to have a cocktail like a gentleman, they only do 1oz pours. Therefore a double, because if its 1oz the rest is mixer, is going to cost you $28 for a drink. Even Jerry Jones thinks thats too expensive. They have a great patio, but to enjoy a seared ahi tuna salad and a cocktail will run you about $75 with tip. Just fyi, not complaining but just so you are aware! Enjoy

*EDIT: Happy hour has changed to 3-5 pm* Ive frequented the other locations, and Ive had pleasant experiences there, so I was excited to try this new location. My first time at this location was 1 week after it opened. Came during happy hour, which is 3pm-6pm M-F. Below are the happy hour specials: 50% martinis and bellinis $2 per oyster $10 burgers Place was packed, but I was attended to and sat quickly at the bar. Our servers name was Kechelle and she is a veteran at Hudson House as she came from another location. She was cute, friendly, provided great customer service and poured stiff drinks! The reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because the when the oysters were brought out by various employees, they didnt describe the oysters. Everything else was positive. I look forward to returning.

They brought our food out SO fast, which I wouldn t usually complain about, but the 2 orders of fries for the table had obviously been sitting out for awhile and were very chewy. Plus, our waiter acted like he didn t want to be there at all. I will say the cheeseburger and mac n cheese were both really great!

Once the bill came, they tried to charge me full price. Happy hour evidently only applies to patrons at the bar or on the patio! Maybe mention this before seating someone? Again, food is a 4 star, staff and mgrs. are a 2 star. Worth the food, not the attitudes.

Happy Hour is 3-6 (bar only) and makes their chefs choice oysters $3 each, martinis and Bellinis 1/2 price and $10 for their burger. The lobster roll on their fresh baked bread is very good. Pair it with a martini in a frozen glass and it takes it to the next level. Eat here. Drink here. Tell your friends.
