Food is good and there s plenty of options in the buffet. The idly is soft and the other North Indian food is delicious. There s ice cream, soft drinks and South Indian food items. The dessert section needs improvement. There s plenty of seating arrangements. The lighting inside needs some improvements. The staff is nice and attends the guests swiftly. Overall nice buffet which we will like to return again with friends and families.

In a sea of Indian restaurants, this one stands out. Do a Google search and you will see a lot of Indian restaurants in this area. This one is large, and when we went for lunch, packed. Food quality is the best buffet food that I have ever enjoyed. As for choice, there were 20 entrees, 4 kinds of rice, 3 desserts (including perfect gulab jabin). I sat so that I could see into the kitchen and was impessed to see them cooking small amounts constantly leading to always fresh selections. The roughly $14 price includes your choice of beverage and tax. In short, I loved it and will be back every time I come to this part od DFW.

Had different options for desserts including ice cream. Peaceful dining with light background music. A nice experience. Definitely will go again! Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options were separated from the non-veg items. Also had a large selection of vegetarian dishes. Would recommend the place to vegetarian people.

Finally a buffet the whole family can agree on. While my teen enjoys all the true flavors, rotating dishes, and chutney.... Compares the saag to different regions and is curious about recipes... My youngest just comes for the red chicken and the ice cream machine. This is our go-to Mothers Day meal because I can chow down on protein and deliciousness without spending hours in the kitchen. Chai is also available to go, if you get in a hurry. All around great spot. Our favorite Indian lunch buffet in DFW.

Worst Indian restaurant in Dallas!! Idli were stale, butter paneer had no taste, Naan are frozen and the most funny dish is vegetable biryani which has no vegetables in it. The whole bowl had just 5 pieces of vegetables, it was a joke! Server couldnt argue at all. Please dont waste money. There are way more and better options out there. Low budget savera and sarigama offers better than this place.

UPDATE: we had such a wonderful experience today(3/14/2024). Namitah found out that I LOVE their Gulab Jamun and we found out that s only in their buffet menu on Fridays ( makes sense since we used to go very often for our lunch date on Fridays) and she brought us some!!! Not only that, she was VERY welcoming from the moment we walked in ( greeted us with a smile in her face) and helped us immediately!!!!! Also, they brought us hot naan- YUMMMMMMMM!!! Best customer service we ve experienced so far since we ve been coming over 15 years. Thank you, sweet Namitah!!!! We shall see you soon on a Friday. Loved it. My hubby picked it for his Fathers Day meal. (The first time we went here was for our 10 year Anniversay and we asked one our friends, from India, where we could get authentic Indian food and this is what she recommended. That was over 15 years ago!!! Weve been going ever since!!!!!!!) This is Our Place for sure!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a vegeterian , I felt the same particular taste in all curries which I didnt appreciate much. The other thing that I didn t like was the waiter hading over the bill before we finished. We were a bunch of friends gossiping over food and the retaurants had lot of empty spaces. It wasn t the case that people were waiting and we were being mean.

The food here is, to my palate, the best. I love their saag paneer the most, its so rich and flavorful. I also really love how they respect your spice level. A lot of places will still make it spicy when you ask for mild or no spice but Our Place gets it right every time. Our 11 year old had 4 servings because he loved the flavor without the burn.

Our Place has remained consistent over the years. I ve been coming here for over 20 years. I typically visit this place for reliable Saag or Palak Paneer as it s my favorite dish. During lunch, it s a buffet. It s always good due to the turn over of food from multiple patrons. You are constantly getting a fresh dish. During dinner, they truly shine. Thinking there would be an upgraded version of what you can get during lunch hadn t crossed my mind, but they certainly proved that. I understand the cost of living and running a business has increased over the years, but as the price of buffet and dinner has increased steadily over the years, trying to reconcile a doubling of prices is sometimes difficult. I started eating here when the buffet was $9-10. Now, it s closer to $20 per person. This means I can t eat here as often as I would like. There are certainly other restaurants that have doubled their prices, so I m not surprised, just disappointed. Other than that, I would recommend this place as one of the best Indian restaurants in town.

Irving area is filled with punugu/chai places where you see huge crowds. No complaints with those but I miss the feel of the fine cuisine and slow dine where I can sit and talk with family/friends. Our place is one of the few handful Indian fine cuisine dine in restaurants among innumerous number of India fast food/punugu/chai places of Irving. It is place to go if you want peaceful lunch/dinner with friends and family. Great food, quiet place and good liquor options. Maintain the quality and you will go to places

The food was not flavorful and many dishes lacked a punch or a significant flavor profile that kept me asking for more. Usually I love buffets cause of the diverse arrays of flavors but everything here tasted the same- Bland. An aspect of Indian food is the spice and powerful flavors which was sadly not reflected in the restaurant. In specifics all the meats and foods were cooked well but lacked flavor beside the Naan which was stale and tasted cardboard. Although the service was nice they were not very attentive. It took over 20 mins for my water to be refilled and no gloves were used while cleaning dishes which brought up significant health concerns. The food was also vastly overpriced. The buffet costed 20 dollars per person when I feel like a fair price would be around the 5-10 dollar mark. The vibe was very chill and I felt comforted. Will not be coming again.

We had the lunch buffet here. We saw it being rated high on Google so decided to give it a try. I should preface this by saying that I understand that food is generally bland in a buffet. That said, when it comes to Indian food, you can make it less spicy but keep it flavorful. I would not say that was the case today. Their buffet does offer a good variety which is of good value for the $18.99/person. The restaurant was also clean and the staff was friendly. But the food itself is where most of the negatives are. This is clearly a South Indian restaurant so I expected the South Indian food to be a lot better than other foods. Idli was dry but tasted good. Uttapam was good as well. Both the texture and flavor was good. It was a bit surprising that they didnt have any coconut chutney but still the chutneys were flavorful. Sambhar (to me) was salty and not very good. Moving on to the entrees. They had about 6 different vegetarian dishes. The green peas were VERY salty, navratan korma was without any flavor as was most other food. Ill say that the palak paneer is where theyve perfected food thats flavorful but not spicy. The paneer Manchurian was extremely watered down & malai kofta just tasted like pure cream w/o flavor. This is my gfs favorite food. She tried one bite from my plate and didnt even get some for herself. Moving on to non-veg: tandoori chicken was nothing to write home about, but it was not bad. Chicken Tikka and chicken 65 were straight terrible. The most disappointing thing to me was that chicken curry (which I would qualify as a. Main South Indian dish) was watered down and was very oily. It was so bad that I didnt have the courage to try the goat curry. Naans were well stocked but they were rather hard and had been sitting for a while. Lastly, the ras malai was decent. May be even slightly better than decent. Mango custard was pretty decent as well. To summarize, I may be willing to give this place a 2nd shot at dinner but would not eat buffet here again. We were really craving Indian food and what we had was a very salty, watered version of Indian food and I would 100% recommend against eating buffet here.

I have never in my like been so angry at a restaurant. I went to dinner with my after having such a god experience prior. My family and I was ignored while other tables were served. I had to get the attention of the waiter after he looked me dead in the eye and then turned around to serve another table. I then called to him and explained that we were waiting for over 20min. The waiter s response was he thought we were soon. That was a lie he was there the whole time walking around and immediately served the next family that came in. What made it worse was that my family was black while he served the Indian family that came in under 5min. The other waiter acted that same. It took forever to get our food while others in the restaurant got their food quickly. Then when it was time for the check it took over 15mins for the waiter to get the check: my brother had to flag him down and I was told that the waiter passed our table on purpose because of me. That is not how a business should run. I felt so angry that I didn t want to give a tip. I gave a minimal instead but that was an actually the worst experience I ever had. Never coming back to this place.

Amazing buffet place in Irving. This one beats Mythris by far to be honest. First, hospitality is very good. I assume it is the owner in the counter, who had a good smile while talking to her guests. She good at what she was doing my there Secondly, the staff, the prompt service the provided is second to none. Plates were removed on time and they received guests and escorted them to the tables that were clean and well organized Third, the dress code, gloves, head caps everything was just as needed in a restaurant Finally, the food, I tasted 95% of the vegetarian items and they were all good, no complaints in food quality, taste and price. This one rightly deserves multiple visits on weekends!

They break all types of privacy laws by pretending to discuss work/life items loudly at a public place! People with manners dont talk while eating, let alone share their vicious noise pollution with everyone else at a restaurant! Other times random customers will talk loudly (following you) while you are filling up your plates! Or the people at front desk talk so loudly that the entire restaurant can hear their gibberish! Noise levels here are crazy! Some evil people try hard to pull down a leader who is by himself, minding his own business & needlessly not wasting time with others! Otherwise good Indian food.

I was there with my family for Mother s Day lunch and it was probably the worst experience we had so far!! There was no ice for drinks, no ice cream, naans were taking 15 min and no refills of curries in time.. we paid premium price for the buffet which was as not even worth going for free!! More importantly owners was not even apologetic for anything!!

A fine dining experience with family and a good friend at our place restaurant, a large variety of delicious items presented and always refilling the trays by the excellent staff. The right food temperature Served. Very attentive and courteous service. Overall the best tasting food in the area so far. We are going to come back again and we recommend Parking: Plenty of convenient parking spaces available.

While there are a couple of dishes that are worth trying, such as the Mysore Bonda and Carrot Halwa, the overall quality of the food at this restaurant is below average. The Idly, rice, and rotis are all over-burnt, and they taste like rubber. There are very limited vegetarian options, and the ones that are available lack taste and flavor. Even the tap water served at the restaurant is hard to drink, and the soft drinks taste like water. The lack of attention to detail and quality control is evident throughout the restaurant. The service at the restaurant is equally disappointing. The staff seems uninterested in their job, and they lack basic hospitality skills. Its evident that the management needs to make a significant effort to improve the food quality and service. Overall, while the restaurant has a few good dishes, the overall dining experience is subpar. The management needs to focus on improving the quality of their food, expanding their vegetarian options, and training their staff to provide better service.

This place used to be good. Giving one star coz thats the least available. One of the worst Indian food Ive ever tasted in the US. Doesnt even worth a penny. No flavors and food wasnt even warm enough. Their mango custard which was kept in the buffet literally tasted like nail polish with so much of artificial flavoring. My hubby politely gave feedback to the woman at the front desk after paying the bill, but that woman was so rude she even failed to acknowledge the feedback. Instead after minutes of silence she kept saying other customers liked it and nothing else till we walked outta door. We are never ever going back.

The restaurant itself is nice but don t recommend ordering malai Kofta. It came out very sweet & that s not how you make the dish traditionally. Their samosas were good though. Maybe they are more specialized in other cuisine.

Old frozen food, chicken Tikka masala was not made with grilled chicken and it was stinking. Nothing on the buffet tasted fresh. Only 2 things I found acceptable was chai and Papad. Worst Indian food experience. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options were as bad as non vegetarian options.

Exceptional food. Nicely spicy. Lots of filling in the dosas, unlike so many places. Get the $4 upgrade - lots of extra sides and a small dessert - well worth it. Server cracked me up when he brought over an appetizer while talking on the phone - can t ever remember that happening. Google shows them closing at 10 pm but they actively run you off at 9:30.

People were friendly and place was well maintained. But the number of food options in the buffet are very limited. Bonda was extraordinary, few curry options were tasty, but the desserts and starters are soaked in oil and strictly okay tasting. Buffet seemed mostly North Indian style, not so spicy. We order in routine but finally made it to try the lunch buffet which was excellent. The vegetable korma was notably delicious. The tandoori well spiced and I was very impressed with the rice pudding and mango custard dessert which surprised me. The service is good and folks are friendly. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are plentiful. At the lunch buffet: vegetable korma, lentils, saag paneer, samosa Parking: Shared parking within a strip mall
