I recently stayed at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel for a CFO meeting and had a great experience. While the facility is older, it is very clean and well-maintained. The remodeled rooms are comfortable and modern, making my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with, providing excellent customer service. The food was also fantastic, adding to the overall positive experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient hotel near the airport.

Pros: Close to airport but not a lot of airplane or highway noise. Staff in Concierge Lounge were exceptionally nice, especially Miss Harriett Cons: Air conditioning didnt work on my last night there. In Texas. Enough said. Hotel van was an absolute heap. It shook so violently on the highway to and from the airport, and there is a hole in the floor under the vinyl flooring, please be careful when walking back to your seat (this was on the Ford E350 van, not the Transit van) Overall, this hotel is not worthy of Premium-tier status with Marriott Bonvoy properties due to maintenance issues. I would go to the Westin on Estes Blvd instead.

The hotel is decent and so are rooms, what I didnt like about this place was that there is no exhaust in the washroom. It gets really stifling after taking shower especially hot one. The pressure of the toilet was also weird. It prefers to do whirlpool instead of doing the actual flushing. Secondly, the water pressure in the washroom was pathetic. You have only 1 knob for hot and cold combined and if you want more pressure, you have to move the knob towards hot side. The pressure will increase but so will water temperature and you wont be able to take shower after that. If you need a colder shower especially in the summer heat of Texas, you are left with trickle of water thats barely doing any good to your body.

I recommend staying at the Sheraton DFW any time you are in the area.

Location is convenient to DFW and lounge breakfast is fantastic if you have access. Harriet, who was working in the lounge the morning of 7/9 should be promoted to the head of Marriotts customer relation team. I travel frequently and have always believed hotel overseas are generally much nicer than in the US. However, Harriet stood out above and beyond any staff member I have encountered. Greeted every person, opened the door for people on there way in an out, made drinks, talkative, polite, and her morals and character are a model for every parent and person to strive to follow and live up to.

Shuttle service was excellent. The rewards lounge was perfect and breakfast was conveinent to for the top floor. Rooms: Room was very spacious, king size bed and the TV was nice size for the room. Water pressure was very low for the top floor. Nice view of the surrounding area and the highway below. Food and drinks: Food and drinks were very expensive in the side store as well as the restaurant. We arrived at the Sheraton DFW around 12:30 to check into our room for a 3 day-2 night stay for a large group event being inside the ballroom on site. The young lady who took our reservation, I noticed gave little to no eye contact and spatted of a bunch of amenities very quickly which seemed sort of robotic. When we entered the room there was a slight smell of mold and mildew in the room and the thermostat was set at 60 degrees so we adjusted it slightly to 65 ,but later that evening we noticed that the room was getting a lot warmer , so I adjusted back to 60 hoping it would get cooler later, but that didn t work. That night was the most uncomfortable sleep I ve had in years. We woke up the next morning sweaty. It was now 75 degrees in our room . We reported it to the front desk and as we were doing so we noticed other guests were experiencing the same. We were offered a house fan to put in our room or to move to a different room. We tried two different rooms and they all felt the same.Apparently the AC went out later that day after we checked in and they failed to inform the guests as well as the new guests that were checking in the following day while we were complaining at that moment. My girlfriend who has allergies is now feeling ill due to the hot temperature in the room which apparently increased the mold and mildew odor as well. I thought it was total disregard of safety, and health concern ,especially for our senior population. And yes we did get a box fan. Rooms: Make you have adequate AC and any sign of mold or mildew odor in your room. Move

Stay here multiple times a month before early flights. It s a nice clean hotel near DFW airport. They even offer airport parking at this location. Very well kept Concierge Club here. My only wish is, since they are close to airport and a lot of people have super early flights, that they would start breakfast at 5am so we could grab a bite before heading to airport. Update: after staying here multiple times I had a very poor experience last night, didn t arrive until 9:30pm only to be told that the AC was out and had been out so my room would be very hot they could have called and notified or already had me booked at another property, but nope just there s a Hilton across the street Marriott was able to book me at Westin across the street after I called and told them of this experience probably won t be coming back here

Rooms are clean and linens are fresh. The hotel feels safe and well lit. This being an airport hotel, I booked because of its courtesy shuttle service. I was told the shuttle left every thirty mind starting at 6 AM. I arrived at the shuttle pickup at 7:28 and there were two shuttles parked there. One drove straight past me and the other parked. I approached the parked bus and was met with annoyance and comtempt. He started radioing other drivers to come get me despite it being past the departure time and having both his and the other shuttle available. It seems they have a turns system and won t compromise on it to accommodate guests, so if you happen upon any two available drivers whose turn isn t up next, you are s-t out of luck. One picks an airport hotels for the convenience and being treated poorly for utilizing the services advertised as courtesy is the ultimate irony. Overall, there are many options for where to stay in the area and I will definitely explore them should I find myself stuck at DFW overnight again. Noteworthy details: airport shuttle service is unfriendly and unreliable

Nightmare Experience: Double Charges, Broken Facilities, and Uncomfortable Beds I regret to say that my recent stay at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel was nothing short of a disaster. Upon checking in on April 19th at approximately 9 pm, I encountered an incompetent front desk person who managed to charge my card twice without any coherent explanation. To add insult to injury, upon entering my room, I discovered that the toilet was continuously running due to a broken handle, and the beds were uncomfortably hard, leading to a sleepless night filled with tossing and turning. The next morning, I found myself locked out of my room due to an alleged issue with processing my card payment, despite the fact that my card had already been overcharged with double the amount for the room. As if these issues werent enough, the ice machine on the 5th floor was also broken, adding further inconvenience to an already miserable experience. In all my travels, I have never encountered such incompetence and discomfort. The beds at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel are undoubtedly the hardest Ive ever experienced in any Marriott property. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place at all

Reception was supremely busy with a couple of the counters not having working card readers. Attendants behind the desk were extremely helpful, but contending with poor technology and a very long line. When we made it to our room, We found it smells of cigarettes. While the attendant at the front desk offered to move us, it didnt work because of the room type and location relative to the rest of our party. There was no easy remedy to this problem While this is close to DFW, there are actually hotels inside the airport premise that should be considered While the Sheraton brand is a wide range of offerings, this property is definitely on the older and worse end of that range. I would not recommend this property

Considering the price and the convenient location next to the airport, one would expect the Sheraton DFW hotel to uphold higher standards in maintaining their facility and rooms. However, my experience was disappointing. Firstly, the air conditioner and ventilation system barely functioned, leading to discomfort during the stay. Additionally, the carpets appeared old and emitted a moldy odor, detracting from the overall ambiance of the room. Customer service was another letdown, with certain staff members displaying reluctance to accommodate basic requests, such as providing bottled water instead of tap water. Moreover, encounters with hostility at the front desk, despite maintaining a cordial demeanor, further marred the experience. Overall, while the hotels location is convenient for travelers, improvements are needed in maintenance and customer service to meet expectations for a satisfactory stay.

The pictures online looked nice. My stay wasn t ideal at all. I checked in, went up to my room, turned the air-con on and went downstairs to eat. I waited It turns out the elevators were being serviced. I had to go from the 7th to the 3rd floor by stairs to get on the elevator. At least the elevator issue was temporary. The hotel was hot. It turns out the air-conditioning was not functioning either. There was a very limited menu and little food options; not congruent with the size of this hotel. The lobby and open restaurant area were filled with LOUD intoxicated guests. These loud, drunk business women were loitering throughout the Hallways all through the night. This was a Monday night. The TV worked, but would not sync up with my phone. Guest services stated this was throughout the hotel. The bed was rock-solid. I m not using this as a positive metaphor.

Parking - Hotel guests are greeted with signs throughout the parking lot instructing them to pay to park with a mobile device. Rates are approximately $15 per night and are not included or advertised as part of your nightly stay. There is adequate parking. Lobby - Lobby is luxurious with easy access to the hotels restaurant and bar. Hotel Front Desk - Staff are professional and friendly. Floor hallways and elevators - Clean. Well lit. Quiet. Rooms: Room - Slightly smaller than most hotels Ive been to. Carpet wasnt vacuumed. Slight musty odor to the room but that went away. Windows to outside very very dirty and spotty (on the outside.) Mattress was comfortable but feather pillows were not firm at all. There is a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The television had poor reception. Bathrooms - Clean. Shower was barely lukewarm. During the three night stay, no hot water... just slightly warm. Sink had low water pressure for cold water. Toilet was slow to flush (you need to hold the handle down for a good 30 seconds.) Food and drinks: Food at restaurant was delicious, at the perfect temperature, and served by friendly staff.

Shuttle bus service Shuttles depart from each terminal at DFW Airport every 30 minutes or every hour for Sheraton and DoubleTree customers. Other Marriott buses also run frequently, so be sure to check the logos carefully. The waiting area is the purple courtesy vans area. If you have any questions, please call the hotel and they will guide you. At that time, it is a good idea to tell them which terminal you are in and which exit. A note about ATMs and tips If you are transiting, there are few ATMs in the area after baggage claim at the airport, and the only ATM available is in Terminal D, and the minimum denomination of banknotes is a $10 bill. Shops at the airport are closed at night, so it can be difficult to obtain small banknotes. Its a good idea to tip the driver who helps you with your luggage. There is also an ATM at the hotel. Hotel services and amenities The front staff was very friendly and likable. Rooms are equipped with water (for BONVOY members), iron, and ironing board. There were bar soap, lotion, and disposable cups in the sink, but there were no bathrobes. The room has few steps, the bathroom is large, and has handrails for easy use. However, the water pressure in the shower was a little weak. meal options There are no eateries within walking distance, so if you arrive late, you can purchase snacks, salads, and other light meals from the shop next to the reception. If you purchase a bottled drink, there is no bottle opener in the room, so you will need to ask the front desk to open it for you. comprehensive evaluation If you need to get to the airport, a hotel directly connected to the airport is convenient, but if you want to watch planes take off and land from a little further away, or enjoy food and drinks at Whiskey Tango, this hotel is a good option. Hot plates or induction plates have been used for years in other lounges and are very effective at keeping food hot without making the lids too hot to pick up. They should think about the convenience of their guests. Convenient access via shuttle bus to DFW. Adequate on-site parking. This is upscale with an upscale price! Weather grounded many of us at DFW so this was a port in the storm. Very comfortable and accommodating but $300+ for a room with no free breakfast, is too high for my budget. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Just fine in terms of quality. The rooms were fine and pretty clean but several things throughout the hotel were broken like multiple ice machines and part of the curtains in the room. Pros: great restaurant on site, Whiskey Tango, and amazing breakfast spread. Tall showerheads, pleasant rooms with fridge and huge TV. Very masculine feel to the rooms with unisex bath products called warm oak that work really nicely even though leaving women with a slight masculine scent. However, if youre single like me, having a scent of a man lingering is kinda pleasant:) Food is delicious at the restaurant and has a nice open feeling to the entire area. More business oriented guests during the week, but appeared more leisure over the weekend. Certain floors are completely renovated, so ask for that because theyre really nice. Bonvoy points work here. And lots of shuttle service to airport and limited local areas with professional staff making sure youre on time. Cons: No real room service, so if you get sick or have a craving, order from instacart instead. Noisy due to being close to the airport, but if you travel with a noise canceling device or earplugs, youll be fine.

Creepy and outdated. The connivence of the hotel was the reason we booked it, thankfully it was only one night because there was just so many bizarre and creepy details that made this hotel hard to sleep in. Our room smelled super weird, almost musty, but it was hard to describe. The carpet in the hallway is literally the same pattern as the one in The Shining, just a different color palette. I could tell that the furniture and decor in the room hadn t been updated in the last 20 years. The mirror was melting off of the light fixture it was combined into, the bathtub was creaky and the wallpaper was peeling off, too. The weird finish on the doors was unsettling as well. It was clearly decorated in a different time before I was sentient, maybe thats why the room smelled so off. Definitely an unforgettable experience, not in a good way. At least my friend was able to use the shuttle to catch her flight, the shuttle system is great! I would just advise others to look into other options for hotels nearby if they re looking to sleep somewhere comfortable. If we had to stay there more than one night, we probably would have changed our reservation. Photos to show the flooring in the hotel vs the hotel in The Shining

Overall, a very pleasant stay with great comfort and amenities. Front desk very friendly and helpful. I arrived four hours early and they were able to get me checked in early. My stay came with club access, free breakfast buffet, and a $25 credit for food at their onsite restaurant Whiskey Tango. The room itself was standard but the bed and pillows were so comfortable, I slept like a baby from 930pm-730am! Wow! What I liked the most about the room was the large showerhead and robe. Before going to bed, I treated myself to a warm bath and comfortable robe lay down while watching a movie. Their TV includes streaming options that you can log into if you have a subscription, but thats not really needed as there is local TV and Showtime to watch. I got a nice afternoon workout in the fitness center. It was such a great amenity! Treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals for cardio, a few select weight machines, pulley system, free weights, yoga mats, and foam rollers! It took me about five minutes to decide what workout I wanted to do with all of those options! After my workout, I took a dip in the pool. Its a little on the small side but considering this is a hotel aimed at business persons and conventions, I doubt they needed to go much bigger. The pool was clean with clear water, and towels accessible right before you walk in. So why the four stars? I wish I could give them four and a half because my last point is only a small fraction of my experience. The buffet breakfast, while plentiful in options was cold. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pineapple juice, cereal, and an apple. The eggs and potatoes, I took one bite of and couldnt finish. They were cold and hard. Bacon was good, and so was the biscuits and gravy but both were cold. I was able to get through those before settling on cereal and an apple. Overall, would I go back? Yes. Would I try the breakfast again? Maybe if I get up at 6am for when its fresh. Do I recommend anyone to stay here? Absolutely.

Checkin was quick, not super friendly. The hotel is dated, plug-ins fall out of the sockets, shower is made for someone under 5 11 (I m 6 3), stepped on a cockroach in the restaurant when I went down for dinner. The food was extremely meh. The location is great but there were flights right outside my window (literally right there). The gym was fantastic, which is why I chose the hotel. Checkout was friendly enough. The shuttle was a really issue, absolutely jammed, obviously the terminals are difficult to get to; however, I wish I would have taxi d as I was unnecessarily rushed for my flight. Oh, and the driver asked for a tip after it took 30+ minutes to get to my terminal. I ve received four of the same email (dinner receipt) and have yet to receive my hotel receipt as requested

Neither ended up in the lost-and-found and I drove there for my stay, so there is no chance that I lost them in transit. Ive already discussed this with their front desk so at this point I have no other options.

After getting a VERY friendly pat down from a TSA agent at 4:30 am followed by being tested for explosives, we made our flight. When we arrived in Dallas, the rental car company happily took my credit card, sold me up on some products, then told me the car I had reserved was not available and I could wait around until one was turned in or pay for an upgrade. I declined and they told me it would be difficult to give my deposit back. Luckily they were wrong and I was able to cancel my reservation and be stranded on my stubborn principals alone. It was brought to my attention that the Sheraton had a shuttle and at this point I would have done about anything to leave the airport, so I called them. As quickly and pleasantly as possible they were there loading our luggage and us into the van. When we arrived, the lobby was clean and a welcoming face greeted us and attempted to check us in, just to discover we had no reservation. It turned out we shuttled to the wrong Sheraton. I laughed and explained what a day we had already had and it was only 9am. They gave me all of the information I needed to get to our booked location and they were ready to get us into a room at this location if we had any problems. They also gave my teens and I a beautiful complimentary breakfast while we put our plans back together and got on track. Thank you Hilda and I m so sorry I didn t catch your associates name. They really went above and beyond and we were so grateful for their unexpected generosity. I hope your managers see this. You are outstanding humans and represented your company so well.

Attractiveness of this hotel is proximity to DFW airport. That said, it took an hour from the time I called for the shuttle to arrive at the hotel. Front desk check-in staff ~5pm Jun 14 23 were not great, and later evening desk staff the next night even worse. The 5am shuttle on Jun 16 was full and when we arrived at the first airport stop the cargo doors wouldnt open. Stuck. Despite being three terminals away from my gate, I got off (since I only had a backpack) and used the inter-terminal train. Hope your other guests didnt miss their flights.

I go to this pseudo-laundry, it consisted of 1 small and shabby washing machine and 1 dryer, placed in a tiny closet, without even detergents (whoever stays a few nights in the airport area for work should have detergent with them??), you practically have to use a washing machine common to hundreds of other people without anyone bothering to sanitize it???
