I was referred to this agency by a friend of mine so I called and checked the status for a possible opportunity, someone that goes by the name of sarah answered the phone shouting as if they were speaking to me across the room. Very bad first impression, disgusting behavior with a class act of laziness.. I m better off without these people

They are the worse to work for. I was on an assignment and I guess the assignment I was late one day they reported it and then told them that they want me to return from there thats when Burnett staffing just let me go as if they couldnt find me anything else they are the worst they do not call you back the communication with them is terrible and do not get a recruiter name Anitra

I went for a interview with the staffing company back in mid December. It was a real quick interview maybe 5 minutes at the most she told me she would get back to me and I never heard anything. So middle of January I called and my recruiter told me she wasnt in charge of what company intrerviews me it the agency choice but I will stay in touch and keep putting you applacation out there. Ever since then she has not been in touch. If you are in need of a job soon as possible i would not recommend them

I have worked with a few temp agencies, and Burnetts is by far the best! Kelsey is so great at her job, and finding me work as well. She found me a great job and when the assignment was over she was able to get another interview and position right away. Very friendly staff all around ,and like I said, the best at what they do!! Karen Wiseman was my recruiter. She was amazing! This was only my 2nd time ever using a staffing company, and let me tell you. She made the process so easy. I was interviewed that day and hired on the spot during my interview. I was then offered a permanent position with the new company within 2 weeks. My checks were always on time and the process was easy to fill out timesheets online. To my surprise, I was brought a gift by Rueben Foster congratulating me on my new position. What a great company. I would have given them more stars for the amazing first meeting but they lagged throughout my experience. Long story short, Karen Wiseman, my recruiter, was amazing in the beginning, but left me high and dry after I got my job. She NEVER checked in on me, NEVER responded to my texts, emails, and calls, and NEVER let me know about the system change for the payroll so I had to go out of my way to call the main office just to finally reach her. When I told her I was unhappy about my current job that she thought would suit me, she never responded back to me and left me to fend for myself. When I finally found another position, I politely thanked her for all her help and wished her luck in her career and I never received a response. They dont seem to care about you once they find you a job. They are just trying to meet their recruiting quota so they can get more money. I found being ignored very rude, hurtful, and inappropriate especially when I opened up to her about my situations. So I hope they train their recruiters to have my compassion and stop leaving people high and dry, Karen.

I found Burnetts, and specifically the Las Colinas location, recommended on a few websites and decided to schedule a visit. I had graduated from a well-reputable University with a great degree two months prior to my visit, however I had struggled with my job search during that time and even prior. I met with Ashley who clearly wanted me to not only get hired, but to excel as a professional. She went the extra mile to help end my job search and had a smile on her face throughout! Within a week and a half of my first visit with Ashley, I interviewed with and was offered a temp-to-hire job. The company I was placed with has since made me a permanent employee. I called Burnett s today to ask for information on IT Jobs. A young lady answers the phone and after I introduce myself, I let her know that I was interested in being part of the IT Workforce. She hesitates before asking What? I answer again that I was interested on an IT Job. To this she answers No one has ever talked to me like this before . I found her answer weird but let it slide. I explain to her that even though I have a degree in computer programing, I don t have any IT Certifications and ask if they happened to be able to point me in the right direction. Her answer was I can t give you that information . I asked why. She says This is confidential information from our clients . I insisted that all I wanted was information on where and how I could get help to get IT Certified. After all, that s what they need as a temporary agency. They need more certified people so to help them get jobs. So she goes in a sarcastic voice My husband went to school and got his degree and works in the IT industry . Well, first of all, I never asked her about her personal life so I don t understand why she brought up her husband. But I just said Good, so I m talking to the right person. Can you give me more information? That s when she went on a rant on how hard her husband worked on his certifications and that s why she was not about to share that information with me. Up to this point she hasn t even told me her name. So I politely ask what her name was. She goes I m not gonna give my name to you! . That shocked me. So I ask, why? She says Because right from the beginning you are being aggressive with me and I m intimidated. Plus you are asking personal questions I still can t believe what I heard. I try to politely explain that all I wanted was information on IT Certifications to which she interrupted going on and on that her husband spent to much time and effort to get his. I m not talking about your husband, sweetheart! YOU brought him up, not me. I got tired of this Me Too overly sensitive attitude of her s and ask to speak to a supervisor. She angrily yells She is sitting right next to me! I ll put her on right now! Or course she did not put her on. What she did was send me to her voicemail where the name Daniel came up, I left a message with simply my name and number. Needless to say, Daniel didn t call me back. I don t know what this lady s problem was. But if you work for a Temporary Job Agency and you can t give out information on the jobs you are offering... well, if I owned a business, Burnett s Staffing would be the last agency I would ever consider to hire. Update - I recieved a call from Danielle who promised to make things right. She was very professional. Lets see how it goes.

The statistics regarding reviews of businesses point to the fact that these reviews are clearly fake and posted by Burnett Staffing itself. For every happy customer only one out of about 20 people will post a good review. And even then it wont be just glowing like these reviews. But upset customers usually are 7 times more likely to post a bad review. What these agencies do is check the name in the system. If it doesnt show they will post a response that the name doesnt show to try and discredit the persons review. Most people simply want to keep the fact they are applying for work through temp agencies (often seen as a desperate option hidden and agencies like Burnette Staffing and others take advantage of the fact they use names which are different than their own. But I have a complaint against burnette staffing. I applied several years back for a job through them and never ever heard anything. It was for warehouse work. However, I have two resumes. One resume with my warehouse work and since I have a degree I have another resume with my office work. I keep the two separate because it doesnt look right to a company that a person making good money would take a job making close to nothing. They like to see that you stayed in the same field and pay range. The Burnette Staffing recruiter told me she didnt have my old resume and to send a new one. Which I did. But she LIED. She in fact had the old resume. She them compared the two. I mean really.... wth? I was so put off by this I never even followed back up with her. Why did she have to lie about it?

Burnetts is in my opinion the best temp service to go through. Youre given the option to record a video to be sent out to potential employers. Im very greatful for all of their help. I feel like I have a team of recruiters instead of just one. Thanks guys!

Nearly 15 years ago I was helped tremendously. My career took off through the help of Burnetts. Family needs made it necessary to leave DFW area, and now unfortunately I find myself in need of employment help again all these years later...only wish Burnetts was in Houston!
