First off, the food is good but everything is way over priced. I had the El Jefe margarita. Flavor is really good but seriously for the price forget it. I am a lightweight drinker as it is so I should easily have had a buzz drinking that whole shaker of margarita and I had nothing. I think they waved the tequila bottle over the shaker. Next split the fajitas for 2, chicken and shrimp. Flavor again outstanding but $42 bucks worth, no. Mostly veggies. Guacamole the bomb but again $12.99 too much. I get prices have gone up for everything but enough already. The one shining spot was our server Nicole. She was AWESOME!!! Came in from Vegas, was really looking forward to eating there but wont do it again. Too bad....

I went here tonight with a friend. I ordered a quesadilla, no rice and beans. They charged me 14 bucks for a small sized quesadilla. I expected more than one small quesadilla for that price. Our server also seemed annoyed that I was catching up with my friend so we didnt order right away. He also took the signed bill before we left, which I think is rude. I tipped him well though bc I used to serve so I know they rely on tips. The food was good, but the prices are high given what they give you. I highly doubt Ill go back.

Cheese enchiladas with Queso are terrible. This cheese sauce that s used for queso tastes like it s from a can. The quality and flavor has gone down. I m very disappointed. Service is still good though.

Well, you don t say when we entered this establishment it was packed but still plenty of seating available. The natural lighting from the skylight illuminates the atmosphere very well. Very decorative and clean bathrooms. Also, the bathrooms smell wonderful. Our server, Marie was very insightful about the menu and was very kind to my children. Kids menu is very large and the kids loved their food. The manager stopped by our table and I was sure to get positive feedback. This manager, Andy was very engaged with the floor and was busing tables with the bus boys. Love this establishment 10 stars. To top it off, we spent $50 to feed four. Amazing amazing amazing! Will be coming back regularly.

Nice place. I ordered chicken enchiladas with spinach sauce. The sauce was not what I expected. It was like a thick soup with hardly any spinach. But...the enchiladas themselves were very good. Parking: Large parking lot Kid-friendliness: Had my two greatgrand daughters with me. Ages 2 and 3. As you can imagine a mess was made. However, one of the servers would come by pick up the drawing paper and crayons and replace them with new ones. He even picked up a pacifier that had fallen on the floor, cleaned it and gave it back to her. I was very impressed with the patience shown to children.

Hello all, we stopped by Abuelos Mexican Restaurant today for a meal. The service, food, and atmosphere was outstanding. I had not been to this restaurant in years and they did not disappoint. We had the enchilada platter with a tamale, charro beans, rice plus a burrito with the appetizer sampler platter (queso, guacamole, and meat queso). It was soooo delicious . Hubby had his usual cocktail and he said it was great too. I was really craving a delicious meal at a restaurant today which is such a rarity in todays world that I didnt have to cook myself. I will attach photos. Everything was hot and on point! Shout out to the chef and crew and this establishment. You made my day! Thank you!

This is the best Abuelos I have been to. Brian, the waiter was fantastic! The food was so much better than the other ones I have been to. Vegetarian options: I get vegetarian fajitas with beef. The vegetables are so much better than onions & peppers. Wheelchair accessibility: Good wheelchair access, however you have to pull 2 doors open which is extremely hard for any handicap person, not just ones in wheelchairs.

Have to be honest I usually order the same thing every visit, the Reynosa salad. Shredded chicken over a bed of lettuce, chile con queso, charro beans, tomatoes, and guacamole in a crispy tortilla bowl. Never disappointed. Fresh with plenty of chicken and hot queso. The Pechuga con calabaza and the Grande are great choices, especially if youre hungry. Beautiful decor and great service at this location. The papas con chile are a nice change up instead of rice. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian chile rellenos and enchiladas, vegetarian quesadillas al horno and fajitas. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free section on their menu.

Every single item has no flavor, and tastes like cardboard. I could get better mexican food at Taco Bell at this point. Ridiculous, especially for the price point. Do better Abuelos. This is a great Mexican restaurant! Been coming here for a good number of years and everything Ive had was delicious! Used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but had a horrible experience recently with the worst server Ive ever had. All requests for the orders were not correct. Server acted really bothered everytime I asked for anything or asked for the orders to be fixed. Barely checked on me at all. Had to even get my own to go box because he took so long to check on me and I didnt want to bother him with any requests. He had a horrible attitude. Never even smiled and acted very irritated to have to wait on me. The restaurant wasnt even busy at the time I went. Entire experience was ruined due to the poor service. I attempted to contact the restaurant about it on their website and was told Id hear back in 2-3 business days, but I didnt. I actually felt sad after my meal and the way we were treated. Ive never felt this way after paying to eat at a restaurant. The hostess was very sweet and welcoming and the other servers seemed nice, but I guess we were unlucky that day. Good luck if you decide to go here. Hopefully you wont end up with the grouchy, mean waiter with the attitude. From now on, I will eat somewhere else or go to another location just to be safe.

Had a family dinner here (11 of us, most couldnt make it). Bobby was fantastic! He was in control the whole time. Delivered the food to the right person, kept drink glasses filled, brought added items when asked, handled 4 separate checks correctly. Make him a manager. Our 2 meals were very good. Everyone else said good things about theres. The avocado enchilada was delicious. Kid-friendliness: My nephew brought his 3 little ones (1,3,5) and they were easily accommodated.

My husband and I went there last week because we were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary! A big deal for us!! We went early afternoon so it wasnt too busy. Was seated immediately and my husband, being proud of our milestone, told the hostess! Very nice lady but basically had no reaction. No, we didnt expect fanfare but we chose your restaurant to celebrate....so then our waitress comes. My husband, once again, tells her were celebrating our anniversary. Barely got a smile from her. At that point I told my hubby to stop telling the staff why we chose Abuelos. The food was great!! No complaints. I ordered a frozen margarita which had little to absolutely no alcohol in it but was charged like it did. In the middle of our meal, the waitress suddenly disappeared!! I had to flag down a busboy to get another order of drinks (once again, mine had no alcohol in it)!! The the waitress suddenly reappeared and acted like no big deal. But it was to us! We couldnt get out of there fast enough. Although the food was really good, the mood sucked the celebration right out of us. We will never be back. 20 years to us was huge but to feel like we got the wind sucked out of us by lousy staff was enough to look elsewhere. Thanks Abuelos but never again!!

This may be the finest Abuelo s in the metroplex. On this visit Megan was awesome. Everything was great and made to order. I was introduced to this restaurant in Lubbock,TX. I have fond memories of that location and this location doesn t disappoint.

I had not eaten here before. We had a large group (20) celebrating Fat Tuesday. The wait staff were on point, the food was amazing. I was surprised by the quantity of food offered, more than I had received at other restaurants close by. Thanks for a good meal and a good evening with friends!

My server Jennifer was great! One of the best servers I had. Food was great as well. Great service, great food and a great atmosphere. Keep mind we went between the hours of 3-5 so wasn t to busy. I can t speak on service when it s busy, but other than that it was great service and food. I would absolutely go back.

First time eating here and it s sooo good! It s so much food I had to get a to go box. I got the chicken chimichanga and a house mango margarita and both were delicious. My husband s got the grande which was ginormous. The salsa is amazing as well!

Hadn t been to Abuelo s in some time and was pleasantly surprised on my return. Food and atmosphere have always been nice at this location. Prices are reasonable and portions are good. Definitely will have to go again soon

Waitress kept refilling my husbands sweet tea with unsweet. She did this twice. I always order the steak and enchiladas. I order my steak medium well. Both this time and last when it first came out it was well done, they took it back and when they brought out the second one it was medium rare. It took three times before they finally cooked my steak right overall the rest of the food was okay they definitely need to hire a chef who knows how to cook steak though LOL.

I came in and ordered my drink and the waitress goes two tables down and sits down with the customer and sits there 20 minutes. Still no drink. The food was excellent but the service is terrible. I travel for a living and I am out about 300 days a year and this is the worst service I have received in the last four years. If I could have given a negative star for service I would have.
