10 days ago CPS came into our life equipped with bogus reports and we were confident it would go away after we talked to them.. we had heard or read horror stories about CPS unfortunately, ours turned into that for us. They came back and told my husband and I that we would have to be supervised around our own children till they finished the investigation. I was heartbroken and so confused. We hired Brad after speaking to the amazing Debbie and him. Brad was thorough, aggressive and quick. Debbie was comforting and understanding. I cannot tell you how grateful I am that I found this office. After 10 days of shuffling our kids back and forth with family members the supervision was lifted and we are back home and back to normal. Thank you for giving us our life back!

I am so grateful for this Attorney. He is genuinely concerned about our family. We were accused to APS not once but twice and the first time the case was closed and we felt so thankful because we did not deserve that accusation after all we did for the person we were accused of. Then we didn t have any contact with the person as recommended by the attorney and we were accused again! Wow! And just wow! My husband and I decided to help an elderly lady she was incredibly in debt and she was months behind on mortgage and she said she just didn t want a mortgage anymore. She was about to lose everything and still be in debt with no way out. So my husband and I sold our house in order to be able to help her. We absorbed her debt, she sold her house to us at a very cheap price since she was going to still live in the house still. But she developed dementia and she didn t want to live with us within a few weeks of us becoming pregnant. She decided to go live in an assisted living facility. We tried to convince her otherwise so we could keep helping her and taking her to her doctor appointments but she kept wanting to leave so we helped her. Then we offered her more money since our deal was buying the house for cheap and take care of her until she passed. She said she didn t want any money that in fact she thought she should pay us since we took care of her for so long. Soon after she moved out we received a letter from APS someone had accused us of exploitation and not taking care of her appropriately. We called Brad and he took care of everything right away and was always so kind and helpful and 6 months later the case was closed! We just wanted to help her and she got to the point where she didn t want our help anymore. After a few months the case was reopened and the lawyer took care of it right away and the case was closed very soon.

If you are looking for an honest-to-goodness-down-right-tenacious family law attorney, LOOK NO FURTHER! Attorney Scalise and his team of counselors and advisors are worthy of D Magazine! Amid several life changes, a situation was brewing that I had no idea regarding my care of my aging mom (with early onset dementia). As a result an APS case of exploitation was being charged against me. As the situation began to escalate due to self representation, I knew I urgently had to seek legal counsel. I searched high and low for attorneys for counsel and to represent me- paying monies for unsuccessful, ill advised counsel. Meanwhile, APS investigation was relentless with their accusations. As my mom s only child and fulfilling her wishes to age in place, we were in the valley of decision in the process of retaining an attorney of which I was not confident in his abilities. These reviews arent wrong. 5 stars is NOT enough!!! I give him 10! I hired Brad after months of dealing with CPS alone and getting absolutely nowhere. Best decision I ever made!! Within just 2 weeks of taking the case, Bradley had negotiated a plan with CPS to bring me and my babies home to see their dad for the first time in 2 months. I was the victim of domestic violence while I was 23 weeks pregnant & filed for a protective order. After our children were born and spent two months in the NICU our family attorneys and the judge over our case wanted to arrange a meeting for my exhusband while the children were in the NICU. Unfortunately the hospital social worker decided that I had reconciled my now ex-husband and not only had him arrested, but filed a CPS report. My ex-husband did not act out & did not harm our children. Even when he was wrongfully being arrested, he stayed calm. The charges were dropped three days later. I was naïve and believed that the CPS caseworker was only trying to determine if I had reconciled with my ex-husband which I had not. She told me that she had reached out to my family attorney for clarification but never did. I was mortified, shocked, embarrassed & angry to learn I had been given a reason to believe neglect occurred sanction. Mom and I found ourselves pinned to the wall with no hope in site. We where intimidated and in the middle of a safety plan with our daughter 80 miles away with grandma but Following Mr Scalise lead and recommended counselor we were able to take control of our situation and in a time frame that I was being very unrealistic about (for our situation and my attitude towards it) the safety plan was lifted!!! Let me also say that CPS and thier counselor had mom and me on the edge of separation and completely turned on each other! He sent us to our now counselor that not only helped us see how well off we already were but how much better we are capable of being as a family. Well Im not able to speak on how well he does his job but I cant speak on his office and their inability to properly communicate with somebody who is attempting to get a consultation. If somebody has stopped picking on a certain type of case that you are supposed to be checking on getting a consultation for then you should get back to the potential client and let them know those types of cases are no longer taken at your Law Firm.

If CPS becomes involved with you and your family PLEASE HIRE THIS MAN I stand behind my statement with 1000% confidence. He has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to this agency and having his representation saved me my family and my world. My involvement with CPS: The first month of my babys life everything was great and I was working with CPS from day 1 but by the end of month 1 they came back with new evidence from the same incident and I had to place her out or the home. I will never forget the no notice just show up and tell me she needs to go with family immediately or severe consequences would insue. All in 3 hours I was told the news, she was no longer with me AND they set visitation hours for MY BABY. TRuly since I was working with cps already and begged for different solutions to no avail- I felt this was unjust and I found Scalise Law firm that night. I was involved with cps for a total of 2 months which is unheard of and only because Mr Scalise was representing me for that second month. If I had not she would still be with family and not in my arms as I type this. Again, If youre reading this contact him asap.. cps is not on our side and are subjective when it comes to whats best for your child. 5 Stars in Not enough!! I am an avid reviewer, so when I came across the previous reviews I felt confident that I found the right place to go for help! Let me tell you, those reviews were 100% TRUE!! I was literally having nightmares about our CPS case. They were really overstepping their boundaries, on top of my mother died 3 days after they knocked on my door. My family nor I have been able to simply Grieve in peace. We were really starting to feel like things were getting out of control. Every attorney we called before, seemed scared to simply speak up for our rights, call them on their BS and fight for us. Not The Scalise Law Firm!! We were very scared and felt out of control when CPS came into our life. I found Brad and he literally lifted that right off our backs. He was not only very experienced and had CPS knowledge, he was an amazing support and back bone to let us stick up for ourselves in a professional manner. If you feel like this and you feel like CPS isnt listening to you, please call Brad ASAP. He always response urgently and will guide you thoroughly through an action plan to close your case. When CPS showed up to my door I was so scared! I had never dealt with anything like this! I had called another lawyer and she acted like she didnt even want to talk to me unless I hired her. I looked online for good CPS case lawyers and found Brad Scalise. After reading all the positive reviews I felt that he would definitely be able to help me. Before I even hired him I was able to talk to him and ask questions and he made me feel a lot better about the situation and sure that the case would end with a positive resolution. Through the whole process he walked through it with my family, kept me informed, and really cared. He was very reasonable and was willing to work with me and offered a payment plan. It was so worth hiring him! Do not try to handle your CPS case on your own. In late march cps showed up at my door someone called on me and said some of the worst things you could say about a parent and even though I cooperated with cps 100% and passed a drug test cps refused to close my case .I felt helpless so I decided to look for a attroney and calling the scalise law firm was the best decision I made.once I had them on my side I instantly felt like things would be ok and I was right my case was closed two weeks later.Im so grateful for the scalise law firm without them Im not sure how long my case would have been open or what would have happened to my children cps was trying so hard to find a reason to take my children but because of the wonderful work my attroney did for us my children didnt spend one day in cps custody..

Very good experience!! super professional-- he knows his stuff uses a proven game plan... and has payment options. Because as we are all aware of CPS typically targets those who are thought not to be able to afford representation. I am thankful i contacted Mr. Scalise.. I couldnt imagine going thru the agonizing painful heart wrenching processes of the family law courts. Not again only as the parent now. I my self was a foster child from the age of 13 until i emancipated myself at age 17 when I returmed home where i shouldnt have been taken from and placed in a strange town a strange school in a strange home with strangers!!! I said Id shout from the rooftops how awesome Brad and Velma, and his firm are, but this review will have to do. 1. Youve found yourself in a situation, and youre looking at attorneys, right? If youve found this page, look no further. No, seriously, look no further. Youve found the bulldog. Youve found Saul. You found Him, or whatever you want to say. Brad is not only an incredible attorney, his cost is negligible compared to the protection, diligence, and dedication youll get. 2. Did I mention his fees? They might be beaten (unlikely), but I can tell you that not only are they reasonable, theyre downright competitive. Get aside that, and Brad is your right hand man. I cant say it enough, his service is Top Notch. 3. If youre unfortunate as I, with someone breathing down your neck (in my case, Denton Co.), dont let anybody, including yourself, tell you that you dont need counsel. I was getting harassed and intimidated, daily, with the real threat of losing my daughter. And then I did the First smart thing I couldve-Retained Brad as my attorney. He was able to get them to cease communication with me, and channeled it through him. Theyre tone Really changes. And if youre smart, youll see for yourself. 4. His paralegal, Velma, and him will not judge you, make you feel judged, or allow others to judge you. Brad and Gina were AMAZING! When I called his office I was in a state of panic after a frivolous CPS charge was filed against me and I was being bombarded with phone calls from a CPS caseworker. Mr. Scalise and Ann Marie are such an amazing team! When you hear the word safety plan, its very intimidating and without knowing you can have representation, you completely sign that over to CPS.(which we did!)... Even after that was done, I still contacted my attorney, Mr. Scalise and when Ann Marie answered right away as I was crying, she told me that Everything would be okay. Brad was able to send over a proposal which helped drastically counter the safety plan. He had my case closed within 3 weeks. Dont give up. Hire an attorney(Brad)!!

He stopped pushy CPS social worker dead in her tracks with mostly bogus accusations right in her tracks. He let her know we had representation that they could not just barge into our loving home without proof. He basically played her game... If you have enough proof, not just allegations, take us to court. Brad said, I will represent family. CPS backed off without the court intervention(abuse of power) they kept threatening, if we did not give in to their every whim and demands. We are eternaly grateful we hired him. He also refered us to an amazing private family counselor that works for us, not the system, and we can definately say we are better off now than we ever were. No more CPS surprise visits, beautocratic government hoops to jump through to please the system, no more recorded coherced statements, just help for our family. Superb attorney! Kids belong with their parents attitude! Dont fight the government (CPS) alone. You have constitutional rights. Even if you could use some help and are not the perfect parent, call Brad.
