Ive purchased the lunch salad and gumbo 2 times before today. It was really good and there were plenty of large shrimp. Today, there were only 6 very SMALL shrimp in the entire bowl. Very disappointed!

As usual the food here was awesome and the wait staff was good. My issue with this place is management. Every time I go here theres a long wait for a table and theres tons of tables that need to be bussed. Watching the bus boys they seem to be moving at a snails pace. I have no idea if theres even a manager there... Because its like that every time I go.

This place was amazing! We stopped in on our way back to Austin from Beaumont. The atmosphere was amazing. Mack was our server was just amazing! This was our first time alone and he made it so enjoyable! His service was spectacular and the food was just as good. From the gumbo to the stuffed crab, the fried shrimp and the crawfish etouffee! It was all amazing zing! The swampthing drink was sooo good and such a vibe! I would definitely drive back from Austin just to eat here!! Recommend 100%

Food was tasty, flavors on point. I went there around dinner time with friends and did not have to wait for a table (maybe we were lucky). Customer service was great, quick and friendly. I tried the salmon and shrimp and they shrimp was my favorite. For appetizers we try the fried calamari and it was great, not oily, not burned but crispy, very good. My friends were happy with a Vudu purple sweet drink and margaritas. I ordered a lemonade and that is the only thing that I will not recommend. The lemonade tastes just like water with a little be of lemon and no sweet. Recomiendo. En resumen Buen servicio al cliente. El calamar frito y los camarones super ricos. What an outstanding dinner experience. Very welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we were seated, our server, Robert, arrived. He offered suggestions for a cocktail and I tried the Garden of Eden. So refreshing & tasty. Bread was served & and warm crusty bread was good. We had the mixed grill and my husband kept saying Outstanding. And totally agree. Seafood cooked perfectly. Rice topped with a jambalaya sauce consisting of sausage in tomato/pepper sauce. Their key lime pie is one of the best Ive eaten. Robert was a very attentive, personable server. Such an asset to this restaurant.

First time visiting Pappas, my experience was very good when I arrived, I thought I would wait for a table since there were a lot of people, I dont know if because there were 2 people, we passed instantly, our waitress was very friendly and even recommended a dish and I was not disappointed. We arrived at this restaurant after the lunch rush in hopes of trying the seafood that the reviews raved about. When we arrived, it only took a few minutes to be seated because they were not crowded or very busy. Shortly after, we were brought a menu and our drink order was taken. We were brought drinks, and the lady stated she was helping someone else out, and they would be with us shortly to take our order. We sat there waiting for about 20 minutes. The people seated behind us were waited on before us and staff walking back and forth and talking to each other, but no one was bothering to come take our order. I finally went to the hostesses and stated no one is waiting on us, and Id like to have a to go cup for my tea. I was brought a cup but was not offered to have someone come wait on me after my complaint. We wont be back. Ive never been treated that way, and youd think after complaining they would have said, let me get someone to come take your order, but instead I was brought my to go cup with no apology and we left just like that. Dont know what to think about that. Food might be great, but I didnt get the opportunity to try it. So, as for the service, its rediculious and very unprofessional.

My first time dining at this establishment was very Comfortable, the server was very nice. Gave recommendations and was able to accommodate me and customize food. Some of the things I wanted on my order, which I think was awesome. The drinks there tastes awesome and I noticed as far as the Restaurant cater to different groups of people.If you had your family your kids. To be completely honest the food, service and atmosphere were great. The only is was with the drink my husband ordered. He always get The Hurricane when we eat here and loves them, but this time he said it tasted like total crap!! I did mention it to our waiter and he offered to have some sweetner added to it, but he didnt send it back because this had happened before with a drink I had ordered and no matter how much they added it still was just awful. Plus my husband does not like to make a fuss and even told me that shouldnt of said anything to the waiter about the drink being crappie. Other than that all was good and we did enjoy our food very much.

Very polite servers. Generous amount of food and not being cheap with shrimp and crab meat. I wish New Jersey had one, so I can be there every weekend and take every guest coming from Europe to get fed in this place. I love this place so much. I was in Houston last weekend, and my friend took me here before dropping me at the airport to catch my flight back. This is just the beginning to dine here. I look forward to getting here soon again.

First time here and it wont be the last. My sister and I were in the area shopping and decided to have lunch and it was worth the wait! Cesar was an amazing server. The drinks were excellent and the food was superb! It was well worth the money we spent. We had the friend Zucchini and Id come back just for that. I had the Grouper and my sister had the Mississippi Catfish Opelousas and we shared strawberry cheesecake for dessert, we left happy and full! Good food and service. Went with a group and ordered many items that were shared. I have to give them props on their bread, might be the best in the game because they serve it warm,with warm plates and soft whipped butter!! Say what?!! Yes!! The food was delicious. We had everything from the crawfish etouffee, fried platter with catfish, shrimp, oysters, softshell crab, scallops, soft buttered potatoes, salmon, grilled blackened catfish. We went all out also ordered dessert. Pretty good. Id recommend the key line pie over the cheesecake . If youre a seafood lover this is your place to go! I been going to Pappas Seafood House for years at various locations throughout Houston area and their food and service never disappoints me. The ambiance and atmosphere is very nice and there are so many appetizer and seafood entrees to choose from. Their frozen margarita cocktails are really good as well. I personally a huge fan of the entree Mississippi Opelousas, but most recently I decided to get the Catfish and Shrimp Etoufee. The presentation was very appealing. As always... Its hard to beat Pappas Seafood House in Humble, Texas.... their French bread and Whipped butter is so cravable! Excellent oysters on halfshell. The best stuffed shrimp around! Greek salad with Lump Crab and cold boiled shrimp and lemon vinaigrette is my personal favorite. The key lime pie with mixed berries and raspberry puree is something you should not miss!! Both thumbs up for Pappas!! Parking: They stay quite busy and so parking can be challenging, even in their large lot. Kid-friendliness: Great for a date or for family dining. Ive seen they do have high chairs for little ones. Both table and chair, and booth seating is available.

First time here. We came on a Saturday late afternoon just before dinner and it was busy but we didn t wait long to get a table. Once there it took just a minute before our waiter Brandon to come serve us. He was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was so awesome to start off. When I say hands down my food was so good!! I had the pasta containing shrimp and crab whereas my partner had Catfish with shrimp etouffee. He had the option of choosing how his fish was cooked and was even able to mix and match the cooking styles( baked, pan seared, fried,blackened,etc). We are originally from the south ( east coast) and loved the sweet tea. I was happy it wasnt Nestea (big difference). I will be back to extend review after a few more visits. Its worth the drive!

Otherwise you re going to need more than $20 to eat and drink at this establishment. Believe me it s worth every penny. I m on a budget and I ate there at lunch for $40 on the special I added 1/2 pound of shrimp. And the bartender made me a $10 House Margarita that s not on the menu otherwise $12 and up for mixed drinks and they re beautiful. . They have food & drinks that s not on the menu you have to inquire. I was full and took my shrimp home for dinner not bad for $40. PAPPAS don t do commercial bacon bits but big chunks of bacon glazed with taste like honey. The bacon chunks are homemade plus the margarita mix, shrimp sauce, croutons are all homemade and DELICIOUS. Outdoor dining is available . Military Discount

I reserved a table here online for Mother s Day to avoid any wait time and when My family and I got there we were seated very quickly we received a very good waiter who stayed on top of taking care of us and all the surrounding tables! All of our food was extremely fresh and served hot we also got delicious suggestions from our waiter that we went with such as the spicy catfish with shrimp étouffée. We were a large group of 8 people and sat right down upon arriving there with a reservation. The service was good and was shocked at how high dinner cost but that is so anywhere these days. Only slight in my rating was for how noisy it was. We had a round table which was great so we could talk easily! I would suggest this restaurant to others.

Packed , but Food is Mid. Catfish was bland but great crust. Buttery potatoes were decent . Stuffed crab AMAZING . Coleslaw surprisingly good , not a big fan of coleslaw , but this was good. Complimentary Bread is fresh baguette & the fried oysters I would pass on . = THIS IS ALL THE SEAFOOD PLATTER . This picture is 1/2 of the platter , we shared .

Only reason you got a 3 from me was the fact your prices are insane. It was LUNCH. Appetizer, house salad, Cesar salad, 1 gumbo, 1 adult beverage, 1 tea, 1 water. $95 with tip. SALADS! Entree prices are as high as corporate noses.

We visited during the after church rush. We were seated immediately; our server (Celeste) was friendly and quick. Our food even came out within 10 minutes of ordering! I ve visited the Papadeuxs location in the city; I will definitely come here going forward (free parking and faster service). Thanks for your service!!!
