A little less better (past review 7 yrs ago, below): Red salsa a bit can-like tasting, green salsa good. Theyre catching up to Pappacitos prices, though & thats not good. Since theyre now pricey, I had Texas Burrito, smaller than expected. It should be 3 or 4 dollars less, not 15.99. That would make it feel a value and worth it. Theyre not half the price of their competitors anymore. Why drive here if I pay just a bit more & get the Name, too? IDK if they still give plenty of guacamole as an appetizer, many of them were as expensive as the entrees, like over $20. Review 7 years ago: I had the fajitas refu, I believe its called, outstanding. Look out, Pappacitos, great food without sticker shock (1/3-1/2 less expensive)! They also feared not to serve chips (big bowl) and warm salsa (small, but they may bring two if you ask for more) and may even bring a fresh bowl of chips before the other is done . Im impressed. They also handled service reasonably well with a party well over thirty.

I m originally born and raised in Houston and have lived in the Humble area for many years. I have been visiting this restaurant since it first opened for business and have celebrated many birthdays there with my family. Now that I live in San Antonio when I come to visit my hometown I definitely have to stop by and get my Mi Rancho fix, it always seems to get better in time . The people are great and the atmosphere and the prices are very reasonable. If you haven t tried it you must do so you won t regret it. Parking: I suggest someone goes in line to wait for a table while you park the car just a suggestion because it s always busy in there but worth the wait.

Wife and some friends came by today and we were in for a treat and did not know it. We all got enchilada plates 2 Verda enchiladas an 2 fajitas enchiladas a they were all very good portions were on point meat was tender and flavorful. Its okay. Its Mexican American food. My food had great taste. Queso was good. Queso flameado con camaron is very good. Strawberry mix drink is the best.. I would come for seconds. Chucky guacamole is delicious too. Charro beans werent that great.. Ive had better. Vegetarian options: There arent much options Parking: There plenty of parking. Kid-friendliness: They have kids menu but they will make what your child likes to there liking. Very accommodable.

Everyone was polite and very pleasant. I havent been to this location in years since I moved from the area. The good news is they didnt miss a beat. We have been going here for years. At one point we were going every Friday. We started noticing a decline in service and food quality the last few times. The deal breaker shouldve been when I noticed the additional 2.75% fee if you pay with card. We kept going even after they started charging for bean type substitutions. On this last visit, our margaritas were clear and taste like water. The waiter said they used the same measurements and suggested the premium margaritas at a higher price. Why would we pay more only for you to ruin that margarita too. Wont be returning.

This hurts my heart to leave such a review. Mi Rancho has always come through for me. It has been one of my favorites for 10 years. At one point, I was there a few times a month smh. Delicious food. Last week, I experienced something different. I typically order the quesadilla meal and instead of getting meat, I order veggies, for no extra charge. Last week, they charged me for the veggies. Ok, not the end of the world, right, well kind of, but thats beside the point. The manager, Abel, showed no customer service. After I told him they normally dont charge me for the veggies, he basically told me they do and was confrontational. At that point, I told him ok, I will not come back (which hurt my heart to say). He told me, thats fine, I dont care what you do. Wow. I was shocked that THE MANAGER would be so rude. His response and actions will be the reason I will not return...over some vegetables that are cheaper than meat.

Great food. These were my words 6 yrs ago. On Cinco (5) de Mayo, they still did not disappoint on the food and service. However, I am very disappointed that they now have a (1) mandatory 18% gratuity, (2) $8 service fee for a $200 bill and using a debit card instead of cash, & (3) a $6 dollar extra charge for adding an extra flavor to a $34 pitcher that still has the same amount of margarita in the pitcher. Changed my star rating to 3 for these reasons. I dont know of any restaurant that charges for using a debit card. Maybe they think they are in Mexico. Parking: VERY HARD TO FIND A SPOT WHEN BUSY.

Truly disappointed after today s experience. They act like a small business with cheap prices charging small fees for everything. I was charged 1.50 for the cilantro they left out of my shrimp cocktail to begin with. I asked for no onions and they took it upon themselves to exclude the cilantro as well, so when I asked for some on the side to avoid sending the cocktail back and making them work extra, they decided to charge me for a side of cilantro . I find it so silly because even if it wasn t included who the heck charges for cilantro? It is not about the money but the principle behind it and how greedy these gestures make them seem. I m sure that cilantro costed them about 10 cents, but hey, what a great opportunity to abuse the customer! You have to request the green salsa for your chips almost like it s part of a hidden menu, and they charge extra if you want refried beans instead of charro beans (even though both options were offered as if they were both included in the parrillada without specifying refried beans was an upgrade at an extra charge) Also, they re a big restaurant/business and still charge for CC fees in 2024? This is a fee for them earn more business as majority of people now in days prefer to pay with card, you can t pass to the customer every single fee given to you, the business. Food is plain ok, and service not the best to justify the price paid. Overall experience wasn t a great one, and after today s visit we will not return.

On 2/10/ 24...We had a party of 20 people, considering we had no reservations we expected to wait, but they walked us in and sat us down immediately! Drinks were delicious! This is one of those places that wants to rip you off with a fee to use a credit card. My new philosophy with that is charge me the fee.
