We enjoyed a nice dinner celebrating a friend at Amedeos! It had been years since we had all been and it was great to rediscover the place. The chicken Alfredo flatbread and redfish topped with crabmeat over a bed of spinach pasta were the stars of the evening! Our waitress - Sherry - did a fabulous job with recommendations and was super pleasant and helpful. We will definitely return!

I took my wife here yesterday evening for her birthday. This is definitely a great restaurant to go to if you are looking for a high-end dinner and a great overall experience! The wait staff was incredible, starting as soon as you entered the door and all the way through the entire dinner. Its quiet and very elegant. I was going to take her to some place downtown Houston but decided to try this place instead. It was a great decision and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to impress their spouse with a great dining experience! Kudos to the manager for making sure we were happy with our experience!

Let me start by saying, i have always loved this restaurant. I had an issue the other day, that left a bad taste in my mouth. To make a long story short, the restaurant had a couple of flies in it, of course one died in my salmon. I called the waitress over, she apologized, and put the same food on a different plate. I called Chef over, who i adore. I asked him, why would an employee do that. He gave me solid answer, but i still wasn t happy. I Wouldn t have accepted it, but you think they could have covered my appetizer. I will not stop patronizing the restaurant, but i thought it would have been handled differently, seeing that there was an insect on my plate. They did make me a new one to take home, but just a bad experience.

Overall, this place is pretty good considering where we are located. Based on that train of thought, I would definitely return. Our server was excellent. My real criticism of this place is to bring the food out hotter than lukewarm. And learn how to make an old fashioned.

30 something year old restaurant and tonight was our first time eating here. Really enjoyed everything we had this evening. Meatball appetizer, tender, well seasoned meatballs surrounded by sauce and cheese, excellent. I had the Chicken Capretto, crispy fried chicken with goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, with a lemon cream sauce. Excellent. Had chicken Alfredo as well, perfectly grilled chicken breast with a perfectly prepared Alfredo sauce.

Tonight my mom wanted Italian food for dinner. We struggled to find a place that wasn t a huge chain, and that delivered via DoorDash for simplicity. She s been hospitalized for a few months and is getting her appetite back, so when she craves something, we try to honor it. Today it was chicken parmesan. But Amedeo s is the only place that isn t a chain locally that is also well-rated with healthier options for my husband and me, and they don t really have chicken parmesan unless you do family style. So I called Amedeo s and asked if they d be willing to modify a dish they have with mozzarella instead of goat cheese so it would be similar. I explained my mom s situation and that it was really chicken parm she wanted. And we just wanted to get her something close to that since they didn t have it on the menu. The lovely person I spoke with said she d ask the chef. The food was delivered a short time later, and instead of modifying the item I asked for, the chef actually made chicken parmesan. To say I m a bit emotional would be putting it lightly. This has been a tough time for all of us, and the fact that they heard what it is she wanted and simply decided to give her that is a level of kindness I ll never forget. Thank you to the team at Amedeo s for doing us this solid. My husband and I look forward to a night out at your place soon. PS. Everything else was amazing too. Those mashed potatoes could end war. Dietary restrictions: Fish and a couple chicken items may be lighter options for those looking for them. And still incredible flavor.

9/15/23 - Awesome experience. Husband and I celebrated a 10 year anniversary & had our meal at the bar while watching the Astros before heading out to a concert. We ordered drinks + the calamari + special salad & tomato basil soup + their special dinners that night + the flourless chocolate cake. Sherry was THE BEST! Great teamwork from everyone who helped her out. Good time and everything was so delicious. Thank you to everyone involved in making our experience a great one. We ll be back.

I know its an Italian restaurant, but you gotta try filet w/peppercorn sauce, fresh veggies and your favorite bottle of wine (or 2) and save room for bread pudding! The chicken fettuccine alfredo was okay, but... They forgot half my order; amazingly nobody bothered to check it. I probably confused them by ordering two of the same. The crisp green salad was nothing more than a small amount of not very fresh iceberg with two cherry tomatoes. So boring and pathetic I didnt even bother to try it. I just threw it in the trash along with any chance of ordering from here again.

We have been a few times and its always great food. We have always done take out though. We wanted to dine in but never took the opportunity. Finally had a work dinner there and jumped on the chance. The food is even better in house. Although I have steamed veggies as a side (set menu, not exactly my choice) and my veggies were basically raw. The only part I didnt like was that every thing moved really slowly. There were none of us, but when 6 of us ordered drinks, they took 25 minutes to show up. It wasnt exactly busy but I understand there are a lot of things I dont see going on and I am entirely confident our workers were working hard. Just for whatever reason, things just moved slowly. I will absolutely go back. No doubt. I love the Chicken Parm and Veal Marsala. The Bread Pudding is fantastic. Parking is a little tight right now because of construction but should improve eventually.

The food was spectacular as usual. The service was as good as as it could be under the circumstances. But this restaurant is not set up for walk-ins on any evening where you have to have the reservation to sit in the main dining room. We were set in a corridor type area between the bar and a party room, that was clearly an afterthought. It felt like my presence had inconvenienced the restaurant. We were seated at a table with a glass of water that had been there a while from.....a previous customer? Staff member? And it was apparent staff chilled in this area before their shift. It was very awkward and it stayed that way throughout the entire experience. It tainted fine dining, which is the status this restaurant works hard to achieve. I dont understand being seated in a walkway, next to a event room that was much nicer, open, and not being used. If a breezeway is overflow seating, there should be a maintained experience as in the main dining room. Otherwise close it. Period.

I catered an office party event at my house. Rhonda helped me pick the right amount of great tasting food. We had something for every palate. I paid to have set up and delivery and Laurel was amazing! Cant belive she did it all by herself. DONT FORGET TO TIP! Laurel made it look amazing. Authentic, freshly prepared Italian food. Professional, friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. For an entrée, I highly recommend the Southwest Rigatoni and for dessert Turtle bread pudding. Come hungry, you will not be disappointed!

Always good food and friendly service. They also are very accommodating to my food sensitivities; Thank you so much!! Dietary restrictions: Instead of gluten free pasta, I ask for double the grilled veggies, which cuts the carb count tremendously: A great option if youre counting calories. All of their meals are chef-prepared, so special orders are no problem for them. I LOVE this place :-)

Amadeos is good food. Their selection is a little more upscale than many places I eat, but there are still inexpensive items available. During my last visit I had the filet, and it was phenomenal. Definitely will be back.

The service was great. Bread was awesome. The Alfredo sauce was very good. The meatballs could have been better though. The meat was overworked which made it a little mushy consistency. Overall I would recommend and will come back.

I will start by saying they have authentic Italian cuisine and being Italian, I do not use that phrase loosely. My wife and I ate there about a month ago and had such a great all around experience, we decided to support a local business and eat there once per month or so. Yesterday evening, I was craving Italian and felt like going out. I checked the web site around 7pm to see what time they close, and they closed at 9. I booked a reservation on Open Table for 7:45, and rushed my wife to get ready out of consideration for the fact they close at 9. We arrived promptly at 7:45 and were greeted and seated immediately. A few minutes later, a young man brought us 2 waters. We sat and talked for a few minutes, and that few minutes quickly turned to 10 minutes. We recognized they were moderately busy. At this time we began to comment to each other that someone should have at least taken our drink order by now. I made eye contact with 2 different waitresses, but they did not come to our table. After 13 minutes I began to get a little impatient and motioned for one of the waitresses to come over. I politely asked her if there was a waitress assigned to our table. She was clearly annoyed by me asking this question, and replied sarcastically, I don t know, let me go check. When she walked away, my wife and I looked at each other in disbelief on her reply and unwillingness to even ask if she could take a drink order for us. We sat for another few minutes and agreed to leave. 17 minutes later, we walked out. As we were exiting, one of the waitresses I made eye contact with early on hurried to us and stated, I saw y all when you were seated. Would you like to come back in and eat? I was like, If you saw us, why didn t you at least say something? Something like, sorry folks, we are slightly busy and someone will be with you shortly. That would have been enough for us to stay as opposed to being ignored. In closing, I completely understand the staffing shortages that s the restaurant industry has been faced with lately. With that being recognized and said, the poor service and rude wait staff was unacceptable. Sadly, we won t be back. I would prefer to spend my money at other Italian options we have in this area.

Update: My wife just made Pasta Carbonara with Pancetta, and I can now confirm for sure that Amedeos is definitely NOT using pancetta. Original: Wow, when I visited this place for a family members birthday, I was excited to try this 4.8 Star Restaurant. This place was a complete disappointment, and I recommend the folks in Kingwood drive to central Houston to have real Italian food. Iceberg lettuce and ham pretending to be pancetta was insulting. The outdated and undermaintained atmosphere was depressing. Prices are not justified by the quality.

I m sure this place was great at some point, but the only redeeming part of the meal was the nice server. Salads are just wet lettuce, a couple of cherry tomatoes, and some dressing. The mashed potatoes were made with rancid cream. The fettuccine Alfredo was tasteless. Even the redfish one of their priciest choices was topped with two sad shrimp and over-steamed veggies. These bland dishes are not worth the price.
