I was referred here through an attorney referral service and it worked out for me. The staff here were all very helpful and responsive. Any time I had a question, they always replied promptly. Kristi was reassuring before my hearing and it was such a relief to receive a favorable outcome and start receiving benefits. I d recommend her, especially if you originally applied without an attorney and you ve appealed many times and received several denials. She wrapped up my case in a very timely and efficient manner.

Thank you for all that you and your staff do Kristi! For the people that read reviews, after filing for SSDI, being denied, filing an appeal, and being denied, I decided to get representation. I was directed to Kirisi and from day one her and her staff kept me in the loop on what was going on, the info and paperwork I needed to send, etc... she called me 30 minutes before my hearing on the phone with a ALJ, told me it could take up to 45 minutes. Within 10 minutes we were done with the judge issuing a favorable decision. This kind lady does her job and she does it well even under adverse conditions! (Day of hearing she was without power and internet due to hurricane Beryl!) She never missed a stroke. I know there are some that will think that Im just giving a rave review because my case was victorious. Not the case. Had we lost, Kristi put her best foot forward, she should be recognized for doing her Job professionally, friendly, and respectfully. Thank you Maam!

I am not good with names, but I will not forget Kristi Ward Stephens. The challenging road of dealing with disability is stressful enough without having to deal with SSI Disability, and the many denials and appeals being denied causes more mental stress that those in need of the help shouldnt have to go through. The associates at Kristi Ward Stephens, Attorney-at-law, were like superheroes fighting off that stress and patiently dealing with a frantic client. They were easy to contact with any of my questions and quick to give me easily understandable explanations of procedures to come. Kristi had me feeling calmer and more at ease by the time the hearing came. Thanks for the kindness, compassion, patience, and help Kristi and associates. But most of all...... Thanks for the WIN!!

I had deep reservations about hiring this attorney in the first place. She was very rude and condescending the limited times I actually spoke with her. She woke me up one morning screaming at me on the phone yelling at me telling me I am not disabled! I had only briefly spoke to her in the past. She has too many cases and does not take the time to help. She is overwhelmed in my opinion and it shows. In the end she dropped me as a client via a letter after loosing the first hearing. Now I have to find a new lawyer. I would not recommend this attorney, and will be following up with an official complaint. Very unprofessional. UPDATED after response Multiple attorneys have reviewed my case and several including yourself at one point agreed I am disabled. Or why did you take the case in the first place? For the record, and those who read reviews, I am a disabled veteran. And I do know when someone is yelling in frustration. I will say it again very unprofessional.

Hi Zoe here, I fought for help for my kid since 2017 and got his actual diagnose in 2021. I was giving up on everything, ready to throw in the towel because I got denied so many times. The last denial letter I received gave me a list of representatives and I decided to try again. I ask God just lead me in the right direction on who to choose because I was tired of losing. I called the 1st 2 & they all gave me the run around or no one was in at the moment to at least hear my case. I skipped down to the second to last on the list and I knew God guided me & God touch Mrs. Kristi and her teams heart to take my case. It was an immediate response and things took off that day. I fought for 6 years and she fought and WON my case within 6 months. I think God for you Mrs. Kristi and your Team for everything you guys did and I think God for touching your heart to help me.

One of the most difficult aspects of having a work related injury, was finding out I had two autoimmune diseases. For reasons to long to explain I was in need of collecting SSDI; I filed for Social Security too. Although, I was told by attorneys I had a valid case, I was eventually told my case was not financially worth their time. The SS case manager stated I needed an attorney and gave me Ms Wards number. She did not hesitate to take my case; this was the biggest relief for me. I did not have the energy to continue the ridiculous hoops that SS put you through and going through physical therapy was not easy. Wasnt happy with the fact that I never heard from her and they were paid I felt to do nothing . I was never kept updated on anything and I was only able to talk to someone else when I called them,never heard from them at all.Paying for services was NOT A PROBLEM. As for this Attorney this was a bad bad Lawyer .My child has a lot going on in her life.I had to get all my paper work myself and do you no .That this lawyer never call me are mail me anything .the case was lost....I mean dont go to this lawyer.Because she will not call you are mail you anything about your case...But dont take my word...Just let her take your case.And she will not show up to court...Not a good Lawyer.....

I connected Kristi Wards office a year ago explaining the problems my child has. A week before court she calls with and attitude and tell me all the information they have from the doctors she isnt disability. Now why when I called a year ago she had everything and could win my case. Then on 7/7/20 the not have the correct records showing anything on my daughter. Now mind you she calls with and attitude when Im trying to explain that clearly the records wasnt sent correctly. She tells me she isnt feeling good and she sick ok. So a week before we go infront of a judge Im told find another attorney bc they dont have the correct records. Awesome Kristi Wards office ty. Now maam you know that is not correct in your response your totally covering the fact that when I was trying to tell you what and when she been. You repeated had an attitude and woouldnt even let me finish. To where I told you that you was being rude that when you said yes Im sick and I have a fever. Why wasnt someone on the phone with the places her records was to receive her record I hired you! I put down ever doc with every record. Im not attorney maam!

I found Kristi & her team just a couple of weeks before my hearing. She already had a hearing the same day as mine but she and her team still took my case. Kristi helped me reschedule my hearing allowing time to be prepared and we won my claim. She and her staff were very professional and courteous. Worst attorneys office i have ever dealt with. We wanted our hands held a bit more than usual since this was our first time using an attorney for SSDI. This office was completely unprofessional and rude. And when Kristi herself decided to call after a very thorough and well written email explaining that we wanted to have our hands held a bit more through this process and given information and updates. She called me on the phone to tell me that the email was very confusing to her and she wanted more info, throughout the conversation i had began to get frustrated because i had 3 screaming kids in the back and i did not have time to be on the phone discussing something that should have never been an issue in the first place, over the phone. She then told me i was being accusatory and hung up on me. Worst customer service in the world, they do not act like they care to help, they treat you just like the VA, a number and a paycheck. Dont waste your time.

I was in an appeal all alone without an attorney or representation and at the last minute I called around and found her office and told them about my Ssi case. They immediately started helping me and getting all the paperwork needed to prepare for my appeal hearing (less than 2 months to prepare).Her team worked on my case and I didnt have to worry if they were doing their job or not.
