The girl who took the order showed up after 30mins just to bring 1 biryani. Her name is shilpa even when the other person who was working there asked she ignore our table we are never there. After 30mins biryani arrives with no salt in it. I used to visit almost everyother day but I will be probably giving second thoughts visiting again. Parking: 20

I had a bad experience in my recent visit. No one comes to the table for order for 30+ mins and the lady who is serving was not interested to take any orders. The food provided after an hour was not fresh. We were served with incomplete order and the lady was not even ready to supply water or soft drinks we ordered. We had to beg for service and finally collected on our own from the freezers. The quality of service is poor. I was one of the customers who posted great feedback in the past. I feel management should look for better team to service customers if they want to continue long in the Irving area. Recent visit shows mamy Cockroaches near the dining area. Photo attached

Extended menu with options to choose from. Well lit, lots of space and clean. Have a robot to serve the food, so something fun for kids to play around with. Food was good, right from appetizers, main course to pastries and paan. Had a great time with friends and it s BYOB. Edit - went for weekend breakfast buffet, there was no one to service/refill. When asked the staff who was walking around, everyone said they will refill but by the time we left in 40 mins, the dishes were not refilled. Won t ever go again. Poori were full of oil.

My wife and I just had dinner at Foodistaan. It is just across the street from Hyatt Place in Irving, where we are staying so decided to check it out. We were very delighted with the food and the service. Food is delicious bright and fresh and the staff super friendly. Would definitely return to taste through the menu a bit.

All the food varieties are tasty and yummy. Except the thick and hard dosa they serve, with which you can break someones head. Also, it takes them more than 45 mins to prepare curd rice. Just go there if you have plenty of time and especially not hungry, as they take more time to prepare food.

I came upon this place by accident. I was originally looking for shawarma and Google maps, in its beautiful ignorance, brought me here to an Indian establishment. As it turns out though, I was very pleasantly happy with the food. I had the goat Rogan Josh, my wife had the butter chicken, and we were hooked. The place overall has good presentation, with activities for kids and outdoor seating (if you wish) A little confusion with the order turned into us having free garlic naan, and that absolutely aided in our experience there. Highly recommend this place!

If I get option i would give zero to this place. I really dont think this place needs robo. the food we ordered here was adrakwala chicken, it tasted well but we ordered green chutney with that and they gave us mayonise. Even we ordered roasted papad and I m shocked our waiter did not know what was roasted papad and she asked us thrice and then we were okay with getting fried papad but it never came to our table. we also asked for malai kofta and she replied we do not have that but the only thing they have is malai bun then we ordered kadai paneer but it did not have any taste at all. there service was really slow all the things we ordered we had to ask twice for that and wait for long time, they did not have more than 2 tables but still it was so slow or either they forget everything. I asked for two three items but they dont even know about the food they are selling and which is there on their menu. I would definitely not recommend and even we gave them feedback while paying but they did not even apologize for papad not arriving at our table even after ordering but she only said okay. so, if they do not care about their customers I dont think it is worth going to this place. Even you can look how this food is served in pictures.Look at the bowl of rice, we also ordered butter milk and it was so warm that we ordered ice and that took like 15-20 mins.

08.2024 Where should I start. Location in walkable from four Hotels, 10 points out of 5. In 2 days we tried : Veg Tandoori Momos : seriously one of the Bestest tandoori momo even if I compare to many well known places . Far far good. A must try item. Ask them to make them HOT and you will just love them. 5.5/5 Veg Chetinad, Paneer Methi Chaman are 4/5. Very good taste. Malabar Paratha, Tandoori Roti : Nice, nothing special 3/5 Ragda Pattis : very well made 4.5/5. Schezuan Noodles : little bit dry but flavorful. Masala Chai : One of the best and must try. Parking, atmosphere, seating, cleanliness are all 4/5. Very nice. They are only lacking in service part. Even if you see other reviews also it s a big problem here. Limited number of staff, they are busy talking to each other or either busy in party hall bookings. Suggestion to the owner, either make it completely self service type setup and start taking the orders on counter or make it regular dine in you, Your team are confused and your customer keep on waiting for order and then for the food and them if they want to order something more. We saw many angry customers in last 2 days. Your chef and kitchen staff is just out of the world. So tasty food but super pathetic service. I had a very disappointing experience at Foodisthan, Irving, Texas yesterday. Upon arrival, I was seated only after a long wait. The delay continued as my order was taken after an unusually long time, and the overall service was extremely poor. To start with, I wasnt offered any water until 30 minutes after being seated, and it was never refilled throughout my meal. The staff seemed completely indifferent to the customers, barely acknowledging us and almost throwing items onto the table when they finally did bring them. When we requested additional items, we were rudely told to ask at the front desk instead. The inattentiveness and lack of basic courtesy were shocking. Overall, I had a very bad experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We went restaurant around 11 am on July 3rd 2024 . After we ordered Iddly vada, and Dosa (mysore and ghee dosa) , after some time , the waiter informed us that Sambar is not available . WORST MANAGEMENT! Visited this place on 10th June around 10 PM. We were a party of 11 and they took a long time to even assign us a table. They weren t very busy. Since it was taking forever to give us a table and 3 of us had to leave in a hurry to a different place, we politely informed the North Indian lady that we wanted to not wait and order separately but the rest of the 9 would dine in. The lady rudely blamed us that we were trying to skip the gratuity hence we were ordering food separately. We were shocked but informed her of our travel situation and hence didn t want it. There would still be 9 people left and she would have gotten her gratuity regardless. By this time it felt like she didn t want to give us a table and told us that it would take 30 minutes to get our order which was 1 biryani. Very poor service. Appetizer come when main meal has been served. They charge gratuity for more than 4 persons when you have to get food your self from the Robot. They provide No service at all.

The most worst serving we came on june 3rd evening almost 7 people. we ordered mutton dum biryani and gongura mutton bullet naun panner tikka masala malai bun and panipoori and so on THE TASTE IS AVERAGE AND SERVING FOOD IS VERY BAD WE FELT like WE ARE WORKING THERE FOR OUR FOOD. THE GIRL WHO SERVED THERE SHE DID NOT EVEN KEEP THE PLATES AND WITH A POKE FACE We tasted the food in all other restaurents in dallas but never seen like this please try to improve

We bought two chicken dum biryani family pack and one pack had 4 chicken drumstick and the other pack had 3 chicken drumstick with rice. We have been coming to Foodistaan in this location quite often and we were so disappointed to see only rice on family pack briyani with such less meat. Never order family pack chicken dum briyani from here, we had friends over for dinner and it was extremely embarrassing.

I would love to rate zero if there is an option. They offered buffet breakfast with no items, they are replacing food items very less quantity and have to wait for more than 10 minutes for each item. Service is really bad. Quality of food is also not really great for the money that we spent. Trash is full and no one cleaning. Not hygiene. Better to visit any American breakfast for the amount we spend. Never visit again and not recommend for others.

This is my second time having breakfast buffet. First time was better but this time its too bad. Though the buffet was supposed to start at 8 am, we had to wait till 9:15 am for the breakfast to be available. Pongal, bonda and vada were way too oily and not even tasty. Did not even get to taste poori as the crowd is too much and the service is too slow. Idli was the only better option but not great as well. Not sure why the change but would not recommend going here for the buffet. Normally my husband is a fan of their irani chai but even that has turned out to be little spoiled this time.

I would ve given 0 stars for their online ordering and site maintainance services. I placed order and later I came for a pickup as it showed in online order is ready .After showing up here, they are mentioning that their site is not working properly and started taking the order at that time and went so long on wasting my time and food is not that good though. This really disappointed me with this Irving location. Please make sure you call them and order rather than using online service.

Good food at a good value! In an economy where everything is super expensive, it was nice to find this spot with good meal portions at reasonable prices! This restaurant is casual and decorated nicely. The menu is overwhelmingly large, and at first was rather intimidating but after reading it over it was a bit more simplified than I thought. Basically they have set items that can be made in different variations. Like Manchurian or 65 style but you have the option of gobi, paneer, or even chicken in that particular style. (It was something new and i hadn t seen anything like that before) However you do need to speak to the server and make sure they have the items you re wanting, as a few thing we chose from the menu were not available. We went with a samosa, papdi chaat, chicken 65, and vinaywadi biryani. I had asked for a very mild chaat and to counter the spices that added a boatload of yogurt and still it was super spicy not the best tasting thing but it was filling. The samosa was good- as a samosa should be. The chicken 65 was good and the biryani was packed with flavor! The coolest part of this experience was the robot service! Something we had not seen- but was really neat to observe. Overall the food was good, the portions were nice, and prices was reasonable!

Food is supper spicy. I have eaten almost all resturent in dallas tx. But this is the expensive and horrible food. Super spicy food. We wanted to order chicken tika she said it will take 40min what ever grill we ask she says 40min. Overall Service is good but food taste is horrible and expensive

The food was excellent and tasty. Idly was little undercooked. Poori and Mysore Bhajji were excellent Chutney and Sambhar was well made. Dosa, pongal and Bisi bele bath were ok. Chai was ok. Had fun time talking to restaurant manager Geetika and chef Shankar

The service was great. I ordered a chicken vindaloo, guessing it wouldnt be too spicy according to the menu, but between 1 and 10, it was like a 7 in spice level. Usually, when I order curry, it doesnt have bones in it, but that sounds entitled. Just for awareness of other customers, but the good was still good though, just not what I was expecting.

We ordered and waited so long for dinner to come.we decided to walk out.only ate appetizers. Mans bathroom was worse. It was so bad all sewer lines were backed up, but they never put out of order sign.the kitchen must be worse as well. The city needs to inspect this place more often.
