The number of rules at this park truly defeats the purpose of being a public park. You can t take pictures of even the scenery there (there s a security guard that patrols and stops you) and it just feels generally uncomfortable that you are being watched and can t relax. Truly disappointing - definitely other parks that are nicer out in Houston, don t waste your time here.

Helen s Park is a beautifully maintained private park that is open to the public. They have the park guidelines posted and one of those guidelines includes no photography and/or videography. Security is on site and it s a beautiful place to visit.

Visited Helens park for an afternoon stroll. It is a small park which is named after Helen Dallerup Williams whose late husband provided for its construction and upkeep. This is a quiet park and there is no play area. The park offers tranquil trails, lush lawns, and charming bridges alongside a gentle stream and fountain. The wooden frames, mosaic artworks all around the park increase the parks beauty. Roadside parking is available.Ideal for peaceful walks and meditation, its not suited for active pursuits like cycling, jogging, running, skateboarding, skating or fishing. A picturesque haven for quiet contemplation amidst natures embrace.

Taylors review of two months ago with photos is of a natural vine that just grows that way called alabama supplejack. It climbs the trees and twists and turns on itself. Perhaps that particular section should be removed but it is nothing nefarious.

I will no longer be visiting this park, I usually come here a a couple times a week, or was a beautiful place. this was never there before and now it is. Beware before going, made me feel very uncomfortable & unsafe. I left immediately after seeing this & im also very disappointed that others have walked this park & haven t done anything about it

From being out of town, we wanted to walk after a good restaurant meal. This park was small but relaxing. It was very enjoyable. Playground: There was a small playground, and I dont know if it was for public use or the YMCA next to the park. Picnic area: Had a panic table to eat lunch or so. No grilling.

This is a beautiful small and cozy park. I used to go to take pictures with my family but now, you cant take pictures over there anymore! It is a shame that photographers abused the park, leaving trash behind and being disrespectful of the nature and beautiful place. Photographers: please refrain from littering and pick up your things. Leave the place as you find it. Your behavior resulted in this park being banned.

I know this place is nice and A lot of people taking pictures here. when i go with my cousins, a man came and we thought he was homeless but he said he is security and kicked us out. You gotta stop everyone equally if the park rule said No photos, dont look for people that dont want a problem and trying to be nice.

TAKING PHOTOS ARE NOT ALLOWED! I drove almost an hour to get to this park. I take one day out the month to have a selfie photo day. When I saw the photos on this site, I fell in love with the scenery. Unfortunately, after finding a descent place to park, I walked toward the entry way to the park and was informed taking photos is not allowed. A total waste of my time and gas. I wanted to leave an updated review so that others want waste their gas and time to be disappointed like me.

Police officer didnt allow any of my family members in. He saw us well dressed and said we werent allowed in nor to take photos because its a private park. I told him since when and many people do. He said no, because its always been the parks guidelines. We drove 45 minutes back home with no photos on my 2 year olds birthday.

The security guard there kicked us out because we were taking pictures. I am not talking about anything professional we were using my cell phone. You cant really do anything there if you read the rules they have posted. It wasnt like we were disturbing anyone because it was empty outside of the security guard. I can see why too with all those rules. It looks like the park is just someones excuse for a tax write off just to have their own personal park. Change the rules to match other parks and it would be a nice park.

This GARDEN is beautiful!! But I will not return!!! I found this place online & I saw all the beautiful pictures & reviews & got excited & decided to go with my family. Only to get there & walk around take 3 pictures (with my phone) & a security guard told me that he saw me taking pictures & i wasntallowed. He said that it was in the guidelines. The garden was almost empty so we werent getting on anyones way!!! I was sad & confused because my brother in law WAS PHOTOGRAPHED BY A PROFESSIONAL there & I saw ssoooo many baby shower pictures & quinceñeras, wedding,graduation pictures!!!! As we were leaving the garden we saw a family walk in WITH A LARGE PROFESSIONAL CAMERA. idk if the guard turned them away, i didnt even wanna look back! Im not returning

Man.....this is a wonderful park. Nice to bring a date, take photos, and just grab a book and relax (Ive done all three ). This park attracts many people who are taking professional photos. The landscape brings so many different elements that the photographer can capture. It does get a little busy with the photographers though. But I cant be mad the park is very well maintained so I get it. When you get a chance drop in, see the landscaping, walk alongside the reflection river, sit by the reflection pool, you will not be disappointed.
