This is a great park that serves the Bay Area, Kemah, Pasadena and La Porte neighborhoods. They have splash pads, play ground equipment, sports areas, trails, garden areas, dog parks and more. Highly recommend visiting this location. Dog-friendliness: 2 dog parks, 1 each for large breeds and small breeds.

This is a wonderful park to visit and see nature on and around the bayou. You do need to be careful of alligators for that reason but I did not see any this morning. It was a beautiful morning over the bayou and I highly recommend visiting. There is also a nice garden across from the bayou. Toilets: The bathroom were very basic and not air conditioned. They are better than port-a-potties.

A beautiful place to visit. Excellent play ground, dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large. Plenty of picnic areas. Duck and raccoon watching is an enjoyable pastime. A launch for kayaks and canoes.

I Love this park! Lots of shade trees even after several lost in Hurricane Beryl. Beautiful site on the bayou. Clean. Lots of parking. Picnic tables. Restrooms. Playground. Dog park with dog wash area.. Fishing pier. Well- maintained. Open 7 days. An awesome place for all ages.

This is the 3rd coming this year for the splash pad and its closed. Dont come for the splash pad because its always closed! Last year it was the same thing came twice and it was closed. The park is nice and we love all the nature stuff. Its just with this heat the splash pad would of been nice.

When I was a boy in the 1970s this was a private park owned by Champion Paper, long since gone out of business. Since my grandfather was a supervisor at the mill, the whole family would come here several times a year. There was a swimming pool, softball field and small play park -- and a lot more trees. I have fond memories of barbecues, fishing, and paddling aimlessly around the bayou in a little inflatable boat, while mother stood on the shore chewing her nails and watching for alligators. When I was 11, I made the poorly considered decision to take my fishing tackle with me in that boat. When the inevitable occurred, I managed to get it back to shore before it completely deflated. Im glad to see the county did something useful by rehabilitating this park and opening it back up. Even government officials accidentally do the right thing on occasion.

My dogs and I enjoyed ourselves at this park. It is the perfect size for small dogs. There s a short walking trail inside, which I appreciate because it s nice to get a walk in while being with my dogs off-leash. There s ample shade and grass, several water bowls, poo bags, and trash cans. I most definitely will bring my pups back.

I loved this park, the bathrooms were clean, its just that some people are a little lazy and dont lower the but it seems to be well maintained, and there are covered benches like under some booths, I loved that to protect us from the rain or the intense sun

Such a beautiful park! I really enjoy going for a walk here, with the concrete walking trail, water, ducks, etc! They have a really big playground with lots of fun structures for the kids. Also, they have a dog park, separated by small dogs and big dogs. They have a place to give your dog a bath right outside of the play area. Lots of picnic area too!

My daughter loves to play softball here. As well as enjoying the dog park with our dog. We play on playground with her friends and family. We fish sometimes and walk around the sidewalks. We have had picnics in the morning and afternoons. I strongly recommend enjoying what this park has to offer and explore. Playground: They wonderful,safe for all ages! Toilets: They are clean! Dog-friendliness: There are 2 dog park areas, one for medium to large dogs and another separate for smaller dogs. Plenty of room for dogs to play. Water fountain for dogs plus a wash off station for those dogs that like to roll around and get dirty! Picnic area: Plenty of tables all around the park, as well as gazebos .

My dog loves this park and Leah, she is an awesome person working there keeping up with everything that goes on there. I believe she deserves a raise with what messes and stuff left behind by inconsiderate people. The speed that people drive through there should be more unforced also. First time coming back for about 5 months, sad because Leah wasnt there but was a nice day being day before .

I have been coming here since I was a kid. We come to fish, play at the playground, or bring a soccer ball just to kick around. Theres a dog, park, tennis court, and lovely scenery! Its one of my favorite places. Playground: Big playground and a smaller one for kids, fairly new, and my kids have lots of space to run around! Toilets: Located near the playground and before the exit. Basic park restrooms, but they are kept up with!

This park is beautiful! Its one way in and one way out but every now and then the privileged elitists comes through and wants to play a game of chicken. Either that or they cant read the directional signs. But park is family friendly, theres ball games there. Many people walk around with phones in their hands like they are catching something sometimes too. Playground: Play ground is huge. They also just put in a new splash pad. Toilets: There have been days that certain restrooms are locked (uncool). But most of the time they are open and fairly clean. Dog-friendliness: There are 2 huge dog parks. And a dog wash off area. Very nice! Picnic area: Lots of space to have family functions

The one that looks like a main entrance is exit only, the driving and parking lots are odd. The playgrounds were great for the kids, would be better with more shaded areas during he summer months. Girl Scouts troops had a fun time on canoes and shooting archery, however, a raccoon came out of the forest and interrupted the arts & crafts lesson. It quickly ran back into the forest due to the screaming kids.
