So far Ive been here four times and every time I love it even more. It has a lot of wooded areas that shield you from the sun and the trails are funtastic. I hope these woods remain protected. When riding through it you even feel a temperature drop. Its nice to get out of the concrete jungle and see this. We need more of this.

This park is a true hidden gem of Houston. Please note that the map provided on the official website is NOT accurate. I ve attached a photo of a map provided Greater Houston Off Road Biking Association, which was very accurate and informative. We walked 6 miles along the bike trails. We saw splendid views of the water ways, abundant water foul and wildlife. Wildflowers were in full bloom in April and made the trip extra special. Cyclists were very friendly and it was easy to navigate around them. The trials are sandy with some elevation, but easy walking. The paved path which runs in the middle of the park is very level and well maintained. It would be say to do with children 5 and up. However, please be aware that there are few resources along the trial. Almost no bathrooms except at the parking area and at the skate park, both port-a-potties. Bring plenty of water, bug spray, and sun screen. Also, there are several road ways and bridges which will need to be crossed to make an extended hike beyond the paved path. Also, the path on the southern most end of the park is the unidirectional, so plan your route to go clockwise if looking for a long hike. I can t encourage you to explore this wonderful park enough. It s is one of the best places to connect with nature in Houston we have found yet.

Its mostly just a paved walking path with off road bike trails. No where to allow a dog to play off the leash. The YMCA is next to it but again, a paved walking path. If your looking for trails to walk this isnt the place tbh. Also, dont listen to the hours posted on the web site I got locked in the parking lot and the time written on the warning ticket was 7:39 pm.

Best off-road and trail riding in the greater Houston area. Follow trail etiquette and keep the place enjoyable for everyone. Electric bikes are not welcomed. Most trails are two-way and folks ride fast, to avoid been run over don t use headphones and don t stop in the middle of the trail.

So many trails that I still have trails I havent walked yet. Mostly because it has rained a couple times when I went so I left. No matter the percentage on chance of rain its Houston our beautiful unpredictable city. The trails I have walked are nice. Certain times of the year there are big birds which I love taking photos of for those who take photographs or bird watch. Id suggest having bug repellent mosquitoes are pretty bad because of the water. There are arrows to help guide you. Benches for rest along the walkway sidewalk. And its for bikers as well. Toilets: Go to the bathroom before you go here there are none. But there is a gas station not too far on Cypresswood. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are aloud with a leash of I believe no more than 6 feet Picnic area: In the front before you hit the trails there are a couple of tables

Great place start a walk or bike ride. A narrow paved road goes off to the left and back towards Jones rd. and beyond. Great bike trails flank both side of the road. The right side goes along Cypress Creek. Lots of trails in the area in the woods. Dog-friendliness: Good place to walk your dog. If staying on the road, be dog responsible.

This is very cool And it seems to be very clean and well-maintained. If I from some mosquitoes which still happens to be a lot of, This is a very enjoyable experience I wish we had more time to spend here today but it s getting dark and they close at dusk and lock the gate so we need to get out of here. I m definitely going to come back in the morning and check out more of the area. They don t have anything set up to do like picnic tables or anything like that but they do have some neat riding trails not sure if that is part of this or another park but if you like to bike this seems to be the place to be.

This is a wonderful set of trails. Very hilly with lots of cool features to challenge hikers and mountain bikers alike. Everyone was very polite and as a hiker it was easy to step aside to let the bikers through. They communicated with us well and it was easy to share the space. My only complaint is how poorly the trails are marked. In some places, not at all. My GPS was still working, though the trails werent on the map, so you can use that to get back to your car. There is a port a potty at the trail head, but thats the only bathroom. No running potable water that I could find, so bring lots of water.
