Best Irish/English breakfast in the area. Bangers are the perfect texture, and the white and black puddings are amazing. Absolutely love this. My only complaint was the sports on the main system just too loud for a few customers. It did become overwhelming, but I do understand that they did have a soccer game on.

Great Irish pub! Most Authentic youll get in Texas. Food and drinks are 5 stars, service is 5 stars, the price is what makes it 4 stars youll mostlikely spend between 20-30 for the meal and drink which is still decent. Oh and if youre looking for Guiness, you wont find it anywhere better than here! And they host the games!

Stopped in for a meal last night before a movie. They had a ridiculously good HH special and the Guinness burger and a Shiner Bock came out to under $11 per person. Our server was excellent. They were trying to kill me with this food and Chocolate cake. I had fish and chips and a chocolate cake for dessert. I literally got food poisoning from this place! Threw up all night and so sick once I woke up. Please don t eat here they really don t care.

Went in yesterday to inquire about space for my group I had hoped to bring today. Bartender ignored me and my driver. I called today and messaged through Google to make the same inquiries and more snd have not been answered at all sll day. Our book club had a late St. Patricks luncheon here. Excellent selection of beers on tap. The Black and Tan was perfect. Lots of other beverage choices hard and soft. I had the Irish breakfast which was filling and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their choices which were very varied. Service was excellent. Lots of TV Screens but at the time we were there they were muted and no one seemed to be watching.

We called before celebrating St. Patrick s Day here. We were told no kids were allowed at dinner time for St. Patricks Day. We arrived at 6pm and at least three other tables had kids. I was upset as we went out of our way to get a sitter for my youngest. We ordered a pint of Guinness which was served in plastic cups. I even asked for a glass and was told they were too busy and didn t have enough glasses to serve beer in glasses for St Patrick s Day. But they were not busy at all. We walked in at prime time and chose between three empty tables. Our table also ordered a $17 Shepherds pie which was served to us in a paper fair-type bowl with plastic utensils. Someone else at our table ordered a cheeseburger that he said tasted like it had sat under a heat lamp for two hours. The DJ played great music but it was 2000 party music, not Irish at all. I cannot believe how this Irish establishment treats St. Patrick s Day. This was such a disappointment. My family will not be back.

Came in on Sunday night for some before show food and drinks. The bartenders were super nice and helpful. Beer and whiskey selection was solid. We ordered fries and onion rings. Would like to try other items. Hopefully in the future they can improve the fried options. Onion rings were pretty terrible. Overall, would go again.

Dennis was the best. First time here so we had no idea what to expect. Dennis greeted us at the door and gave us the rundown of the restaurant. All food is scratch made, except the fries. We had the deviled eggs which were delicious. the onion rings, amazing. bangers and mash, legit. Kids menu chicken tenders were the best Ive ever had in my life. The crunch is unparalleled. All food came out hot and incredibly fast. A testimant to proper expediting and front of house service. Thanks Dennis! Washed it all down with a pint of Guinness from the draft and a jamo, neat. Epic. Food quality is some of the best in the city. Looking forward to coming back for the fish and chips. 10% discount if you show movies tickets from regal cinema or slooomooo, both next door. I tried Hugh O Conner s for the first time this past weekend and it did not disappoint! The restaurant has a great pub feel to it and the staff was excellent. Maria was friendly and attentive! We came here after having a couple of drinks at the Improv and watching TJ Miller, who had an awesome show. I went inside to order our party some drinks and the next thing I know after stepping outside to hand our party their drinks we were being thrown out of the bar. Apparently the bartender was having a bad night and had enough of his night so he proceeded to make up an excuse saying we were too inebriated to be served anymore beverages. I observed others at this establishment having a great time and who were also inebriated, possibly even more than us. I m not sure what gave him the impression that we were in this particular state but I can assure you that was not the reason we were asked to remove ourselves from the establishment. I believe him to be a raciest and I have the entire incident recorded. Let me just say that this review is only the beginning and there will be more repercussions to come.

Its a really great bar. Large selection of whiskey and scotch most with the 10 12 or 14 years options. Food is surprisingly good. Service has always been fast and polite. Ive eaten at many places bragging about their fish and chips- this was pretty bad- One star because I have too! Just waisted 17.00 on fish and chips. First- the worst tarter sauce - bartender said its from Sysco foods- fake miracle whip tang - no tarter should be made with miracle whip! Sysco coleslaw was warm. Fish- after about two bites the batter became soggy then I noticed the fish was chewy and not fully cooked. See pic! Well a 17.00 lessen- dont ever eat here again!

Saw this place a few times as I frequent the Marqu*e theatre and Im so glad I finally went in! Dennis was super warm and welcoming and we had some awesome conversation. He told me all about the whiskey selections as well as events they hold in the pub like the Liverpool Houston Supporters Group. Its nice to find a welcoming atmosphere so close to home. I had the fish and chips which were delicious, paired with an ice cold Magners cider. Both were the perfect thing for lunch on a hot day. I wish I thought to stop and take pictures but it was too delicious not to dive in immediately, I will definitely be going back as frequently as I can to try the rest of the menu!

I cant say enough AH-MAY-ZING things about this bar. The ambiance is on point: laid back and comfortable. This bar brings a bit of Ireland to Houston. The staff? The best in Texas. Dave and Pete know how to run shop and they hire the best of the best. Ronan and Goose are the friendliest bartenders Ive ever met. EVER. The entire staff is phenomenal. Dennis took care of us today and he was friendly, quick and great. HIGHLY recommend this bar to ANYONE living or visiting Houston. Delicious food, awesome drinks, and the best staff!

Showed up, sat down waited for about 10 minutes just to get the drinks. Then waiter said she would be back in a few minutes to take our order. 20 minutes passed and nobody took our order. Service sucks. Not coming here again.

Love coming to this bar. It has become my regular spot for two main reasons. 1. ICE cold beer. Every glass is frosted and tap selection is fantastic. 2. AMAZING food. The Shepherds pie is incredible as well as the fish n chips and mash. Everyone working here is super cool and kind. It will continue to be my friend s and I s spot for hanging out, sports, and everything in between.
