You get what you pay for.. check in was simple as well as check out. Location is great. Rooms not so much... exposed outlets no covers, rug coming apart at wall, open ac wall with hole shining through. Rug was imprinted with a iron burn, lol bathroom sink needed to be sealed was breaking off, shower head could use a good cleaning toilet top was broken and a hole in it. Door had no peep hole had to lay towels under door to close off light, there was no cold water for shower it was warm or scolding, the walls are VERY THIN... mattresses were definitely not clean lol. I would definitely not stay here again but it was for one night so it sufficed. Needs major maintenance and TLC could be so much better with upkeep.

I would like a refund for the last day at the very least. I had to pay for another night cause I wasn t sure if they would need to keep my Dad going through Dementia testing for the following day, but they made me pay for it or checkout. He didnt have to stay so we went home. With my Dad getting sick and throwing up from the mold in the coffee maker, I believe that s the least you guys could do. I did text about it to the number that asks us if there s anything they could do to help and they never responded to that situation. I went and got a new coffee maker, but it was to little to late. The rooms are old and outdated, the smell is less than satisfactory, multiple guests begging for money, the pillows are terrible. Very embarrassing and disheartening experience for me with my Dad s current situation.

Absolutely gross, old and poorly maintained (except for the swimming pool.) I met Bobby the cockroach in the bathroom, decided to lock him in the trash for the duration of my shower (I set him free when we checked out.) you will probably see his family members all around the hotel. Table, chairs etc everything is dirty and/or broken. So why do I give it 4 stars? Well ladies and gentlemen, we paid 65 USD for a night for an hotel right across the space center. Paying that price you cannot have high standards, so for the price, it is a fairly good deal. They even kept our luggage for the day. Pros : - cheap - Luggage storage - breakfast included - Wildlife safari / insect sanctuary - amazing location - No bed bugs!!! Cons : - dirty - Everything is old, stained, broken - Gotta love insects If you are in room 103, please take care of Bobby ! Rooms: Dirty, gross and old

The pictures for this property were completely misleading. It was dark and dank, the carpet and covers felt damp. There was a sizeable gap underneath the door that might have contributed to the roach infestation. There were always roaches in the bathroom and there were dead bugs on the floor near the door. The mattress was well past its life and when I sat on the bed I rolled right onto my back because there was a massive dip in the center. It was ridiculous. There were crusty stains on the carpet whose origins I dont even want to think about. I was there for three nights and the room was never completely cleaned. Only the trash in the bathroom emptied and the face towels replaced. Soundproofing doesnt exist at this property. I was awoken in the middle of the night by loud noises and heavy stomping. Also, a major safety issue is the door to the connecting room. It didnt lock properly and there were no instructions on it for assistance. Im so disappointed with this stay and wish I could go back in time and book somewhere ANYWHERE else.

The employees are a bit rude. On a positive note, the location is excellent if you are visiting the Johnson Space Center across the street. Not worth the money. Will not be staying here again.

Bed comfortable and staff friendly. Parking lot is decently lit. Location is perfect if you want to walk over to the space center. Walkable distance to breakfast restaurant or a pho place. Area didn t feel shady. That said, the hotel is very old and you can see that evidence everywhere. There were roaches behind the ice machine, rusting metal in the room, matted carpet (our room still had a wad of gum), stains on the desk chair All of our towels had strands of hair on them (I plucked them off). I didn t use the face towels because one had a suspicious brown stain on it. :( Breakfast offering is very simple, so not for ppl who need a heartier meal. Mini muffins, 2 cereals, yogurt, and waffle machine. Then coffee and orange juice. No eggs or meat of any kind.

This hotel has a great location as its located basically right across from the Space Center and its also a nice area that seems safe. As far as the hotel itself, its sub-par at best. Its quite literally falling apart. Our room had acrylic nails in various places on the floor, roaches, used cups stacked up by the coffee pot and a unique smell. The ac never shuts off and is very loud. I asked for extra blankets two nights in a row due to it being cold and was told they have no extra blankets. I went to the lobby to look at the brochures and when I took one out, a roach crawled out. It was quiet and it was cheap. If youre just looking for a place to rest your head and put your bags, its not too bad.

Pros: Conveniently located right across the street from Space Center Houston, this is is a decent hotel for those on a tight budget. Cons: building is dated and is in need of a refresh. Rooms: Building is decent but dated and needs a renovation. Room I was given (303) was nice but had some things that needed to be addressed: 1) Ball/ Slide lock on door was broken, 2) Curtains were heavily frayed, 3) space between AC unit and wall was not sealed, 4) There was what looked like mold in the picture on the wall, 5) Light switches and outlets were old and outdated, and one outlet was slightly melted, 6) Bathroom was outdated and needed a refresh, 7) Walls needed to be cleaned and repainted as they were discolored and chipped, 8) Bed was saggy and could use a new firmer mattress. Nearby activities: Space Center Houston is just a 10 minute walk away, across the street.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Its is literally across the road from Houston Space Centre. Shoddy, curtains torn, threadbare carpets with an iron burn. Furniture falling apart, vents hanging off the ceiling. When the AC was out on it smell so strongly of urine we had to turn it off. The staff did let us leave our car in the car park after check out whilst we visited the Space centre. Would neve stay here again. And if my school child stayed here I would be horrified as the electrics did not look safe. Such a shame with such an amazing location. Because this hotel is the closest and cheapest hotel for NASA, all the schools use it for visits. So if youre staying during the week, youll likely have school kids running around and shouting all night until about midnight... Ive got no idea why the hotel staff dont put the school kids in one wing and other guests in another...There must have only been about 5 other guests judging by the car park. This hotel needs to honestly be shut down. Could not stay at this hotel. These pictures consist of two different rooms. The man at the counter lied to us; he said the systems were down and he couldn t give us a refund. When we went in the first room and saw two dead cockroaches lying right next to each other. He refused to give us a refund and gave us a second room. In the second room, there wasn t cockroaches like the first room but there was pubic hair in the bed sheet! How disgusting. There was also hair all over the bathroom floor. We begged again for the man to just let us leave. Finally, he said we could expect a refund. (Because he was lying to us the whole time!) It has been a week and we still have not been refunded. I am assuming they probably are going bankrupt and this is why they haven t refunded us yet. This building is not being taken care of, it smells like mold, there s cockroaches, furniture is moldy, public hair in the sheets, hair everywhere, the toilet seat is falling apart in the bathroom. It s literally worse than a motel because they have not taken care of this place. We are having to seek higher measures to receive our money back. I didn t want to have to leave this review but this experience has been an absolute nightmare. There s lots of more affordable options in the area that is actually clean. Stay at your own risk. The overall condition of the hotel is very poor- lots of clutter/debris in hallway and stairwell, bad door locks (both to room and exterior entry), frayed and damaged upholstery in the room. The provided breakfast is good but minimal- cereals and baked items plus a waffle maker. Honestly, for the rock-bottom rates they charge, this is expected. However, I wish they would put more effort into keeping the hallways and staircases clean. The front desk staff was friendly when I interacted with them. I never received a receipt by email and they have been impossible to reach by either email or phone. The one time I got someone to answer the phone, the email systems were down so they were unable to help me.

The only nice thing about this property is the outside and the employee we spoke with. The room was like walking into a time capsule of 1950, it smelled heavily of cleaner and something else that made us cringe, it felt like a dungeon it was so dark and creepy. After laying down on the top blankets of the bed I got very itchy, thankfully we didn t put anything on the bed or floor. We decided we didn t care about the $100 we d lose and went a block away to the Courtyard by Marriott for $125($25 more then this place) and it felt like we d jumped up into high luxury. The hotel we went to understood our issues and had others coming there from the same place with the same complaints. My husband and I took the hottest shower we could stand and washed all our clothes in hot water immediately at the new hotel. Thankfully we didn t notice any bugs in the following days that might have hitched a ride.

I had a suite. Overall, the suite was great. Lots of room. The staff was also great. However, there are two things I did not like. The first is the TV. The TV is attached to the wall above the clothes cabinet which make it close to the ceiling. This would not be issue if the TV was larger, but it is a very small TV so in order to view the TV my head was up all the time. The second is that the sink was hard to get to because the coffee bar is set right in front of the sink. These two dislikes would not stop me from booking a room again.

Eugh... I booked the Microtel because my family stayed in one in Nebraska and it was a nice little quaint hotel for a low price. I expected the same from the online Google ad, as the rooms looked renovated and clean from the official pictures posted by the hotel. My wife and I get there, and the only cleanliness was in the lobby and halls... room smelled like weed and the appliances/furniture was old and worn. I also just got so itchy the second we walked in... We ended up leaving early and paying extra to stay at Springhill Suites. Wyndham needs to do better about their advertising and renovation schedule, as I felt very misled how the rooms looked.

Super nice affordable hotel. For some reason we had no phone in the actual suite so we weren t able to call about the tv not constantly working. Yes we could have went downstairs but it s super inconvenient being on the top floor and also having to go down there each time our key cards wouldn t work for the door every time we left. I d go back but definitely have all problems found out as soon as I get there. Food and drinks: Checkers 3 minutes out

Filthy and just GROSS! I walked into a warm moist moldy air/smell. The room was tiny, everything is old and not maintained well. Had to wear my shoes because the carpet was moist and sticky. Then I went to the bathroom to rinse my daughter s cup and water ran out black. We did not stay for more than 15 minutes. Walked back outside and it literally felt like I could just breathe clearly again. Only reason I m giving service 2 stars instead of 1 is because they did refund us.

Booked this place because of location and price. You get what you pay for I guess. The place is old and fairly rundown which would still be OK if it was clean, which it was not. The breakfast selection was basically covenantal with a waffle maker, nothing warm, no meat, potato, or eggs. I wasnt expecting much honestly and that is what I got. Both of the other families we were traveling with felt the same way, would not recommend.

I had a good experience staying at the hotel, I only had one problem. The lady at the front desk in the morning decided she was going to come into my room without knocking at 3:00 in the afternoon talking about she thought Id supposed to check out at 11:00. The gentleman working nightshift left her a note letting her know that I was a stay over. Once I informed her of this she left my door open and walked away no apology nothing just I find that rude. All in all my experience with this hotel has been good very clean rooms lovely breakfast in the morning.

Booked this hotel for 2 nights. Our room was absolutely disgusting with stains all over the walls and furniture, the AC wouldn t get below 77°, and the room was TINY. It looks like the hotel hasn t been touched since 1970. Although our book was non-refundable, the place was so bad my partner and I left the hotel 10 minutes after arriving to find somewhere else to stay. Don t choose this hotel just because it is cheap. After leaving here we found the OYO motel in Kemah. It is absolutely fantastic and very recently remodelled. Super clean and the rooms are huge.

Located across the street from NASA, just a couple of blocks from Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital, and a couple of miles from Kemah. Service was acceptable for a 2 hotel. Rooms were reasonably clean, even though there was a wine cork, from a previous guest, under the bed. The common areas were too warm. The rooms had their own temperature control. The first floor ice machine was out of order, and all guests had to go to the 3rd floor via a very slow elevator to get ice. The breakfast that was provided was all carb rich food. Over all, it is what I expected for a 2 hotel. I would not go here for a romantic get away, but for a place to stay as you are passing through, it will do. You get what you pay for.

This little hotel is in a great location. It s only a minute away from the gates of Johnson Space Center and NASA. The neighborhood is very respectable and the price was great. The room we had was a suite. It had a small separate sitting area with a mini fridge and a microwave. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were left. There is a small pool and a light continental breakfast was served each day. The best thing was it was so so reasonably priced especially for the area! Special thanks to the employees who returned my jewelry I had left when we headed home. Very honest!!

Its right across the street from Space Center Houston (NASA), so if thats what youre here to do, this is a great place to stay! Its also close to some fantastic restaurants/cafes, like Taj Himalayan and Ca Phe Phin. Its a very good value for the price. The rooms have some minor damage (scuffs on cabinets, loose floor tile in the bathroom, etc) and the furnishings are a bit old, but there are no cockroaches, no bedbugs, everything is clean, and the damage is mostly cosmetic. Again, for the price paid, I feel this was a really good value.

This is my dads review of this hotel: My wife saw a bug in the room so we took our suit cases upon leaving for the wedding. When we got back for the second night my tooth brush, a razor, a suitcoat hanger, two one quart bottles of smart water and our apple ear buds, that we left in the room, were all missing. I reported this to the front desk and they gave me a razor but nothing else. I told them our stuff was missing from the room. They said to call back in the morning. There was a young kid working there when I called. He said there was nothing they could do about it. I dont recommend anyone go here. DONT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING TO GET STOLEN!

This hotel is in walking distance from the Nasa Space Centre so you dont have to pay for parking over there. Room was clean, everything worked and for this price it is really great place. Microtel Inn is couple minutes from Kemah Boardwalk and on the halfway from Houston to Galveston. They also have a pool available. I really enjoyed my stay and can highly recommend it.
