Young employees working here were much more interested in entertaining each other, rather than the guests. Be prepared for no refills, and having to break up your waitresses 20-minute conversation in order to get an accommodation. Price and food were good; shout out to the back of house. We stopped by on a Tuesday to have a beer, and we ended up eating as well. We had their $2 tacos and an appetizer platter. It was all very good. The beer and liquor selections are fine. Nice thing about this place is that it is kid friendly (ours is a pre-teen) and the atmosphere was nice. The music was a bit too loud, but our server noticed we were all yelling to tell her our order, so she had them turn it down. Definitely recommend if youre looking for somewhere chill to eat and have a beer, other than a typical restaurant.

The place is pretty good, good music. Very friendly staff. I had spotted the place while preparing my trip and the reception at my hotel there told me good things about it. There werent many people in the middle of the afternoon, it was quite quiet. The food is good.

Ive driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped because it seemed to challenging to park. I stopped today and got a sweet spot out front. Im out on a solo bar crawl (yes, on a Wednesday...dont judge me!) and this is stop #1. The atmosphere is is for sure a vibe. It has a grungy, dive-bar feel with lots of games and stuff to do while hanging out. The service was just ok. The bartender did serve me almost as soon as I walked up but she didnt really check back. I had one shot and closed the tab but I was still hanging out at the bar. She kind of got wrapped up in conversation with people at the other end of the bar and never quite got back to me. From my perspective, for a better service rating, I wouldve liked to have been asked if I wanted another drink or if I wanted water. Im actually hungry and painted on the outside of the building is best burgers in town but I wasnt even offered a menu. This is NOT a bad review. Its a growth review.

Service was really good here, and vibe was good watching the superbowl. Our waitress was really attentive grabbing our orders and getting the stuff back to us pretty quickly. Okay so quick simple review , the waitress, bar back or whatever you call them in Texas is racist and rude ! However they failed their mystery shop that day ! All the way from Philadelphia i was paid to check these three places and this one was my first stop soon as i flew in and the lady with the cake up make up and brown hair was beyond nasty and just rude , it took them both two look backs , a fake check their phone and something just to wait on me i guess they wanna serve man not knowing I was the biggest tipper there !

Overpriced food and drinks. My wings still had feathers on them, the drinks were watered down and bland, and the waitress kept ringing my items up improperly so that she could get a larger check(she even tried to act like I ordered a basket of fries that she knows I never ordered ). Service was also terrible. Took her forever to bring anything to us while the bar was half empty. If you wanna go to a Christian s tailgate go to the one in the heights. Time is not been kind to this place. I used to have a lot of fun here. But poor staff treatment, mismanagement, and no transparency have forced me to spend my money elsewhere. The only redeemable quality is the kind of bartenders who have over the last six months one by one have found better establishments to work at in the local area. This establishment once bustling with Soul and energy is dwindling. My best advice for you is to walk up the street to Komodos for a genuine dive bar experience.

I like this place. The food is simple, but its good. After todays visit, Ill find a replacement. Its in midtown, so of course parking is always an issue. I actually checked if there was an Astros game tonight before ordering online. I paid online and headed that way. Unfortunately all the parking was taken and they dont have a designated spot for pickup. I called to ask if someone could walk my order out since it was paid for. I was told that it was not possible. We dont have anyone designated to walk out orders and we are not supposed to leave. If we had not just come out of 2020, where every restaurant except Christians Tailgate, started offering curbside pickup, I could understand. So in order to get my order, I had to illegally park, run in and see 4 servers just standing at the entrance. I hope that the small tip I added to my order went to kitchen staff, not the servers or bar, but Im sure thats unlikely. Ill find another spot, I guess. The end.

Renovating my kitchen in my condo right above this place(feeling good, a bit hungry). Waitress was friendly but she couldn t find our food because the kitchen put it in to-go boxes(we were dining in). I got back up to my place and immediately felt sick. Another 30 minutes later I was on my hands and knees throwing up. I tried calling to talk to the manager to inform them I got sick after eating there(manager never called back). Stopped here on my way to the Scorpions concert. Place was pretty much empty (Saturday around 5.45 when I arrived) but even so the kitchen managed to mix up my order. Really bad experience today (Kirby location)....I almost always order frozen margarita. Thats my drink. I do not understand how on Saturday at 2pm on Labor Day weekend you run out of margarita. The management was really nice. They offered to buy me a drink but I ended up paying for both my drinks, which is ok. When there is only one bartender the service tends to suffer and that was true today. Also , I noticed that my food was in the window to be delivered and multiple people ignored the food until finally someone brought me my food. The food should be brought to the customer immediately, I would think. I come here alot and my experience is usually very good, but this time really bad.

For the record I typically tip 20-25% so the 18% was bot an issue it was that I was informed because I met too many people there the gratuity was charged. Last night me and some friends met in midtown and came in to enjoy karaoke and a few drinks, we have been in before and have usually enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. First I d like to point out that our service was great, we got a waitress we ve had before while we sat on the patio and everyone else was friendly and very lively, but I was very shocked and a bit grossed out when I noticed that the staff was scrapping gum off of the tables with screw drivers and steak knives!! The restaurant had a decent amount of customers at this time and I even heard a table bring it up to the manager, not sure what that take away was but when I wanted to ask why they were doing that my friend told me she heard the manager telling the employees since they had down time they needed to scrape the gum. While our waitress was very attentive and friendly I had a hard time getting over the fact that they had to use knives we get in our silverware to do it and I lost my appetite for the fried pickles we had ordered. It seems very wrong to do that kind of routine maintenance during business hours especially when there are customers in the building. My one star review is by no means a reflection of the waitstaff and the service, but it s going to be a while before I come back or use their utensils since I now know when in a pinch they are used to scrape gum and god knows what else.

Took some friends here from out of town to end our night out last friday. One of my friends had recently received a proposal from her husband. She wanted to have one last drink and listen to music to end the night. The DJ became more of the clown that he was and talked about them over the mic about the way they danced. He made them Cry later. The manager never said anything. Theres more bars and restaurants around. If youre looking for a good time, I recommend Little Woodrows. We wont be returning here, neither should you, ESPECIALLY ON A FRIDAY. TRUST ME!

Hadn t been here in a year. Used to be one of the best burgers (and fries) in town. Gone way downhill. No longer offering a half-pound burger, and went to frozen fried from hand-cut twice fried potatoes. Huge disappointment.

This place was fun. The Astros game was on every screen and the crowd was interactive. The bartenders were quick with drinks and the food was good. This was my first time there and definitely will be back. There was also some one passing out free shots of Tequila. That was sweet and we got o keep the shot glass. That was cool too.

Karoake Fridays is the bomb. Peter is the karoake DJ and he keeps the crowd fired up along with performances by G23 and Promise. Them boys put on a show when they sing. Love it.
