Ok we have to stop supporting these places, that have bad service and charge 20% gratuity, and charge for every table after a certain hour, it be your own people . This is why Im sticking to McIntyre, Axel Rad, Drift etc, etc you know what I mean. I mean your server thinks there entitled to 25$ cause they refilled water super late once and brought u a drink(with an attitude ) 20 minutes after you asked. Enough is enough, these places are full fledged money taking scams.

It blows my mind how much control they let the fat & extremely rude security guard have. I left my id, and I got my roommate to bring my physical ID and the security still didn t let me in ? He went around making a spectacle. He wouldn t let me in despite him saying I can t come in bc I need a physical ID. He also kept the ID once I handed it to him and never gave it back. he had superior beef with me & i didn t know him. From no where. He tried to humiliate and embarrassed me for no good reason. When I asked to speak to the manager the security argued me down .. why? Just bring the manager. I asked several people to help me and no one would, not a single soul. Once the manager took 30m to come he was drinking on the job (??) and said nothing to deescalate or diffuse the situation. It was weird, pathetic, and evil. Considering I had a reservation, and patronized this establishment many times, after last night (7/27/24) I ll never bring my worst enemy here. I really hope the owner can understand my view as a paying customer & create a better safe comfortable environment in ador. Let s start by hiring positive helpful people instead of monsters .

It was a great vibe and I would come again but next time I will pay cash. There was an extra $30 applied to my bill and no one was able to give me an explanation or refund. (I only had 3 drinks each was about $11-$16). So I ll be watching very closely to my tab next time. If I come back.

All was going well until my friend put the toe of his sneakered foot on the corner of the table. The manager came over and requested he take it down; no problem I understand because that s where people eat. The conflict in my mind is she just had people standing literally on the couches throwing money on her not even 2 minutes prior to that but then comes over to reprimand him about the toe of his shoe. I don t know if couch standing is okay but just no shoe on the corner of the table but it definitely threw me off. I m visiting from out of town and am not from Houston so that could be how it goes here.

This was my second or third time here. It was kind of hard to get seating and the waitresses were ignoring us when we had questions about getting a table. We just decided to go to the bar instead. When we went to the bar security was very rude telling us to move out of the way when we were trying to order from the bar. The bartenders were awesome and kind to us. The drinks were very good but a little pricey. The bartender Tory I believe her name was, was really nice and she helped us even though the bar area was packed. Im not sure what the other bartenders name was but she was also really nice and kept checking on us. I definitely will visit again but I know now to just go straight to the bar.

Ive been here a few times. The last time I came. They updated the location. They have nice new cedar wood plank seats that are sectioned off. It looks nice and like it can hold more ppl. I hear everyone likes to go Fri nights for happy hour. Quite frankly, I go on any week late night for a date or get eats and hookah with my homegirls. I recommend pizza and their wings for sure. They will also tell you they are not charging a tip, and the waiter will tell you she didnt include the tip yet all for you to tip her and then get your receipt and their was a 20% gratuity added. Now I have given this girl $24 dollars for bare min delivering my food in a plastic to go box and plasticware. And 5 shots of some $5 HH drinks. Ask for your paper receipt.

This place was Ghetto. Service very slow and disorganized. Security over rated, doing too much. Couldnt order food because of the slow disorganized service. We came for a birthday party with about 20 people not enough room for everyone to sit. We ended up leaving soon after we got there. I support Black establishment but this place is truly over rated. Dont think I will ever return. I wouldnt recommend this place. Drinks and hooka over priced. You have to pay $6.00 for Purelife bottled water. The bottle girls were tired looking.

This was my first visit and The security guard in the front, forcefully grabbed my arm. I was unaware that they even checked IDs here. When I asked him not to grab my arm that way he said do you want to leave? . He has been reported to law enforcement. There was also miscommunication amongst the waitresses and where they sat us and we were moved multiple times. The music was great but I will not be returning. I will also note, that this behavior and service is common amongst black run establishments. It s tasteless and tacky.

Where do I start? I drove to Houston from Austin. My sister got 2 sections there. We spent well over $1000 in bottles and hookah. Plus the sections. Before I arrived I did my research and it stated I could smoke on the patio area. We got 2 sections in that area just for that reason. When I arrived I felt every security guard was very aggressive for no reason. I pulled out a cigar and by the time I got ready to light it a security guard pushed me in the back and just stood and stared at me. My wife asked me if I knew him. He had no badge, shirt or logo to display that he was security. So I thought he was just a drunk person there. After mingling and talking 5 mins later I lit my cigar finally to then be rushed by two security guards. It was the random guy and another guy with a bullet proof vest. They were trying to drag me out and telling me I need to step outside. It felt like they wanted to fight. It was so aggressive my family felt like they may had to step in to defend me. After talking with them they let me stay. While sitting there I smelled others smoking. I asked the host if they allow smoking and she said yes. I was confused and felt targeted. Before the night was up I witnessed 2 fights (staff or security against customers) and security being overly aggressive for no reason. Then at the end of the night they kicked everyone out aggressively by security forcing you to leave and blowing an annoying whistle over the speaker. This is the worst experience ever. If felt like give me your money and Im going to treat you like a criminal). Not to add the sound system outside is garbage. Im a audio engineer of 20 plus years and it was trash! This place wasnt worth the money nor the time. Im live in Austin (a predominantly white city) and Ive gotten treated better there. I thought my own people would treat me fairly and it was horrible. If I had less than one star I would choose it!!!!!

Every time I go here it s something. I bring the girls after work with the intent on staying for the night. After an hour and a half of us sitting there, they come to us and tell us they sold our table . They tell us we have to spend $200 more dollars to Stay seated there. Any money we ve spent before that time doesn t matter. They don t care. They are money hungry. They said they would accommodate us by moving us to the bar, but can only seat 2 out of 4 of us. (The rest of our party had to stand up). I keep giving them chance after chance, but I will NEVER be back. I love supporting my people, but at SOME point we need to go back to the drawing board, because I just feel like they want money before providing proper customer service . $200 for our table when there are 4 other tables around us that are literally empty ! Waitresses have attitudes , the managers as well. Very passive aggressive. No accountability . The parking is horrible !! It s too small in there for them to be making people get up after 90 minutes after we ve already ordered food and hookah! And then . Had the nerve to tell us that us ordering hookah and crawfish does NOT go towards the $200 minimum. Like baby, just open a club with bottle service at this point cause what ?!?!!

I dont understand why we had to be checked for weapons before we came in. I thought maybe it was a club because of all the security that was walking around. Everyone seemed friendly and got along. Maybe it was something from the past. We were seated immediately outside on the patio. We finally got the attention of one of the waitresses and ordered two Old Fashioned. We got the drinks and I wanted to tip the bartender they were so good. My chest was hot. It took a while to order food because we couldnt find our server. When we finally did, I ordered the queso with chips and my coworker ordered the shrimp with fries. When the food was brought to the table, we didnt get forks, ketchup, cocktail sauce, napkins, water, or anything. We had to ask for everything individually. She would run past the table so fast we couldnt tell her everything we needed. We never got forks. The atmosphere was pretty decent with plenty of seating inside and out. It started to get live when we left but we were over the service. Other than that, it wasnt too bad.

I would say , it seems everything is a good vibe but if you don t make sure the spot you pick is up to your standards it will be a problem, and you want try to change it is a problem . We got up for 1 minute, even left our jacket at the table, and they took out uneaten pizza we had just paid for. Not a big deal, right? I asked the manager about it, she said there was nothing that could be done about the pizza I paid for. Had no seats and made me and my team move like we were not paying customers. They charged gratuity in drinks for NO REASON. Ive visited twice in one month so far. The first time the food was great and the waitress Mariah was a doll. We went on a Sunday to celebrate rate us. The second was on a Thursday and the menu was not as great selection but it was still ok. My only reason for not giving a full 4 stars was the paper to go containers we received the second visit. Now we did get plastic to go containers which were better to handle but the paper plates made it difficult for us to enjoy with the fear of our food falling out. Just wasnt sturdy enough. If you keep the to go containers please stay with the black plastic..they are more sturdier.

I love A dor and frequently go for a good turn up and late night cravings. The last two times I ve visited the bartender is extremely rude. It s mainly one that s always there and she has been rude to the point I m asking myself do I know her because it s just overall rudeness. From her pretending to not hear customers at the bar, to completely ignoring me then when I tried to ask another bartender she magically appears after ignoring me for ten minutes then rudely asks can I help you like this isn t HER job. I hope this is a professional development where the managers actually see this and says something. I ve never had a bad experience here and love the atmosphere and food as I said above so to have a bad attituded bar tender is bringing the vibe down tremendously. I would always drive past this place and see how packed it is and how everyone would be having so much fun. I decided to go Wednesday night and it was very chill. They had a live band playing on the inside and people smoking hookah, and talking on the patio. I can t remember the name of the host last night but she did an amazing job helping me and my friend when we walked in. She made sure that we were welcomed and asked us if we had any questions, if we want anything to eat, if we wanted to stay inside because they re were about to have a live band play music and If not, she can get us some chairs so we can sit outside on the patio. She was actually the highlight of the night because I didn t expect search friendly service. The Security was a little dismissive like they didn t want to be there and was on the phone but the rest of the other stuff was really attentive. I would definitely go back and try the food. Also the drinks were very strong.

If you are in your 20s or 30s this is cool spot to go to. The vibe and atmosphere are straight. A drink and beer cost a little over $20 and a table for 2 has $100 minimum spending limit. The tables go quick, so its better to make a reservation.

Last night I met up with my friends here, 1st of all the girls are all wonderful and beautiful, so helpful and encouraging! Our waitress Bri was so sweet and fun, shot out to her. However upon arrival I found out my friend (the birthday boy) was denied entry due to a sheer button down shirt he was wearing, this was not specified on the online policy so of course it was a surprise for us all. Especially me because I had no issue and I had on a bikini top. While I was there the security (and I m assuming management) continued to come over and harass us about what he was wearing stating that he couldn t wear it because he is a man. And by this time he had already changed into a shirt that was opaque. It really just killed the vibe and made me feel really uncomfortable and hurt for my friend that we couldn t properly celebrate his day.

My friends and I attended Ador last night and had the most horrible experience. Our male friend had on a sheer top and was denied entry for his own party. As we stood there waiting for someone to bring him a new shirt because all we wanted to do was have a good time. We saw several females allowed entry into the lounge with the same kind of tops or an even more provocative look. After our friend received his shirt, he put on the button down and tied the middle exposing his chest but not showing his nipples. Several Ador bouncers as well as the manager came over and told him he needed to fix his shirt. After we pointed out several females with the same look, then the manager stated, No man could be in Ador with that type of top on; only a female could . This is just disgusting on how they acted. I ve been to Ador plenty of times and have never been harassed like we were last night. After our friend told the staff they could get sued for their actions, they left us alone and stated he could stay this time, but was to never return with that type of shirt on. We were already aware of the dress code and did not violate anything they had online. After stating this, they said the manager didn t like what he had on. They need to get rid of this homophobic manager ASAP! The waitress we had for the night, was great. I don t want this review to overshadow her hard work.

My friends and I come here often. Black owned business with decent food and great drink and food specials. The service here is always hit or miss however yesterday our server Kinnidi made the experience truly gross and i dont think i can honestly recommend Ador any further. Instead of being a honest person Kinnidi added 20% gratuity to our checks and proceeded to lie and say it wasnt included we tipped her an additional 20% and upon receiving our receipts clearly see the gratuity was already included. Lying for some extra change is low down and bad for business. Would not return there are too many honest businesses around. if you do patronize here ask for an itemized receipt clearly servers like kinnidi will try to finesse you out your money.

If you are a gay male or a person who loves to support the LGBTQ community don t come here. My friend booked a section here last night and when we got here we were giving the hardest time ! He had on a mesh black shirt and they told him he was out of dress code mind you we read the dress code policy before coming and it said NOTHING about mesh or see through clothing. There were multiple women coming in with also mesh clothing including our group. We had to wait outside the place for about a hr to get him a new shirt. We got a new shirt for him and it was low v cut and they came and harassed us again !!! Saying no chest showing mind you one of our girls had a bikini top and we were all showing chest and he finally said it s a rule for just men ! We bought a section and could not enjoy ourselves due to them steady coming over and all we were doing was minding our business trying to have a good time. The bottle girl was amazing and so were the other girls it was literally just the security guard !!! If you want to live free and be YOURSELF I would not come here because they will make sure you re uncomfortable!

Its a really cool place. Met up with my friends for a bite and their early happy hour (great for day drinking- ha!) My group was large, so our server was crazy busy. She remembered our orders, kept bringing sauces, water napkins...kept a smile through it all. The menu is standard American pub fare - wings, fries, pizza, sw egg rolls, salad, etc. Very reasonably priced. I knocked down a star because I got a ALL Star variety platter. Although it was tasty, it all came off like Costco from an air fryer. Over all, everybody I came with was new to Ador. We all agreed that well be back

The space is clean and kinda tight but i enjoyed the closeness! Music was top tier, DJ efffortlesslt blended the different age groups taste in music. Hookah also did what needed to be done! Dont feel pressured to dress up either , i came straight from running errands and got right tf in! I ll be back for sure.

I went with a couple friends here and while the section was very spacious and still fairly early in the night, the sweltering Texas heat did not allow for a good time. People were all wanting the big fans to point in their direction and there was just not enough fans to supper the crowds coming in with it being an outside section. The staff seemed friendly overall but people were sweating bullets the entire time.

I will start by saying it s a good vibe here, I won t take that a way from the place. The dj was good as well. I visited from out of town and for my first experience the bar tenders were very rude and make me not ever want to visit this place again! The were very dry with an attitude when you ask questions, they over charged for drinks, that should be $10-$13 but they charged us &16, they over charged for food, we ordered eggrolls that were $13, she charged us $17, they add they re own gratuity without letting you tip them on your own. Then we over heard the bartender tell another worker if we don t open a tab , they need to remove the barstools because we are in the way of her making money. We bought 2 drinks a piece and ordered food so how aren t we spending money or how are we blocking you from making money ?We were just like wow! We left right after we heard her say that. So our 1 st experience was bad, so if you are planning to visit , be ready to pay over what the drinks and food are listed for , such a rip off

The ambiance wasn t doing it for me. It was a Wednesday and we were a group of 8 ladies and a gen celebrating our friend s bday. There music and all was happening inside and outside was like a dead zone. Why? We asked for music and was told there were noise complains. Understandable. We asked if the volume could be turned down but at least still some music, well, there wasn t. We ordered bottle service and it took a while to get served. Was t a good first impression for me, it won t be on my list of repeat hangouts.

Service was great! The DJ was on point. Order jerk wings and fries. It was a dry rub which was pretty surprising. The food was way too salty but I was able to finish the meal so I can t be too mad about. I wouldn t go back since it s not my vibe and the food wasn t too enjoyable but I d definitely recommend if you like hookah and/or a lounge kind of place.

I went to A dor for lunch with some girlfriends on a Monday. They had $10 fried plates of chicken, fish, shrimp and probably some other stuff. The fries were really good and seasoned well, the catfish was good also! Nice big fillets. They also had $15 hookah during the day. I had two $5 frozen margaritas and they came with a pound of crawfish each. Very cool vibe, nice outside sitting area. Also parking was free until 4:30!
