This restaurant is super close to my house and has become our go-to spot because the food is amazing. We usually do takeout, but the few times we ve dined in, I ve had a less-than-ideal experience with the service. I m a server myself, so I know what to expect depending on the time and situation. I m not sure if it s because we re a group of young people, but we never get asked if we need a water refill, how the food is, if we want anything else, or any other follow-up. They simply take our order and serve it. I understand that service can be different during busy times, but even when the restaurant isn t crowded, it s the same. That said, I know it s not all the servers, but it s happened enough times to be noticeable. I really love this place and didn t want to bring this up, but after yesterday, I was really frustrated!

Nice ambience but the food served was not good. Bhutan had too much of oily smell, momo was not hot and it tested like it was microwaved before serving. Sausage was not good either, it was dipped in chilli sauce that made it test bad. I asked if they could replace without chilli sauce and the server said I should have said that while placing the order. If I knew, I would have ordered plain. The food was very expensive compared to other similar places. I am not visiting again.

Update on Aug 2024 The service has also dropped The food is not tasty anymore We had to wait food for 40 mins even when the restaurant was not busy. Sad to see this. The vibe is still good. I may re-update back to 5 stars on my next visits but let s see if the improvement is there Let me start with our wait staff Laxmi. She calmed us patrons who were frustrated of the wait Sunday evening. They were really busy because of the recent opening. Her welcoming nature, her patience, and attention to our table on a fully packed restaurant was something to admire about. It is is so rare to be in luck with such a great host. We felt at home and it was just because of her warm hospitality. We were parity of six on a Sunday night. We drank a lot and ate a lot. Oooohhhh the FOOD!! The food took us all back home. Back to the streets of Kathmandu. They are authentic and the piece of the street. They are delish and just hit the spot. We spent almost 3 hours. Thank you Laxmi baini for your hospitality

I visited the restaurant with my friends today for dine-in, whereas I usually opt for takeout. The service was exceptional; our server was both friendly and accommodating. Although the food took a bit longer to arrive, it was definitely worth the wait. The chicken jhol momo stood out as distinctively different from other places, and I thoroughly enjoyed their juju dhau. Overall, the experience was excellent.

I had never gone to a Newari restaurant in the USA before, but this one is by far the greatest, in my opinion. My family and I visited there, and they also had a great time. I had never tried any newari food before. Additionally, the meal was fantastic. The greatest dish was pancha kwa. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the friendly staff. I have been here a few times and I must say the food is great and the ambience is really nice too. The staff is very friendly and they always ask me if the food is ok for me or if I need anything. I personally have never experienced anything bad when it comes to the staff s attitude. The only thing I didn t like is that I think the AC doesn t work well because it gets really hot inside which sometimes spoils the atmosphere. I recently visited Bara Restaurant during Saturday a very busy hour. While the service had its challenges, I could see that the staff was doing their absolute best to manage the crowd. The food did take quite a while to arrive about an hour but the staff remained friendly and attentive throughout, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed while we waited.The bartender, in particular, deserves a special mention. Despite the crowd, she kept the drinks flowing and maintained a positive on time. It was clear they were working hard to make the best of a busy situation.

Literally in the restaurant when doing this review. Been waiting for my food since an hour. Its not like I ordered anything complicated. Simple chatpate and some potatoes ! Been here about 5 times now. Was excited to finally find another Nepali Resturant not too far from arlington instead of going to Irving. The food is top notch and the drinks as well!! The service has always been okay not great but today was just awful. It was like we were a bother to come in and eat. We ate at 5 pm and they open at 4pm. When walking in we were greeted and sat. The lady that took our order was nice but after she took our order we never saw her again. She sat behind us in a booth eating her own food and watching something on her cell phone so loud I couldn t even carry on a conversation with the person I came to eat with. When I went to the restroom I saw no hand soap. I had to go ask someone to fill it so I could wash my hands. I asked twice and everytime I went back nobody filled it. Myself as a man knocked on the women s bathroom to see if soap was there and a little remained in the bottle so I quickly washed my hands and told my friend that s a guy to use the women s restroom due to the lack of soap. What s concerning is if the bathrooms have been without soap how is the staff and cooks washing their hands and other customers. This was a huge turn off. Again I asked twice for hand soap. I counted 4 people working out front all standing around talking or on the phone. After we ate we sat and sat and sat the lady that took our order walked past collected dishes off a dirty table she dropped a bowl of dip and it went everywhere. She left the dish and the huge slippery mess all over the floor and it got all over my pants. She never said sorry and it was never cleaned up. I had to get up and ask the hostess for my check and to go boxes that s after I almost broke my leg standing up cause of the huge spill that lady did and never cleaned. Again, food always always good. But the service today was horrible like really horrible. Seems to be lacking a good management team. This was just inexcusable. Our waitress was tall and wore glasses long hair pulled back. Never have I felt so unwelcome somewhere. Will give it some time before we come back if we even do, or just order to go. Beware

I have visited this restaurant 6 or 7 times and it has been one of my go-to places. However, in my last couple of visits, I received poor service from the same server. We overlooked it the previous time as it was busy, but today s experience was disappointing. I come here at least once per week, sometimes 2 or 3 times. I initially stumbled across this gem on a walk since I live across the street. I m familiar with South Asian food and the ambiance and the food is unique, especially in the suburbs. Lots of veggie options, deep ellum IPA/Stella/dos equis always on tap and full bar with some fusion cocktails. Everyone here is super friendly. I ve never felt like someone was rude here, and especially as someone unfamiliar with Nepalese food everything is explained well and with good recommendations. The only downside is that the food can take a bit - this is not fast food. It s always super fresh and tasty, so I m happy to wait! I hope Bara stays a part of Euless for years to come. It s half the reason I haven t moved

The servers were really accommodating and were genuinely trying to help us so 5 star for the service but the food didn t meet the standard. Started with chicken chhoila which was pretty bland. Had to add a lot of lime and salt by ourselves to make it taste a little better. Next time, Dya Kula, is slow braised goat meat which is supposed to be soft and tender. However, the meat was very tough and chewy, definitely not cooked enough. Momo wasn t juicy and lacked enough flavor. Pork saag was a big scam. Came with tiny pieces of deep fried pork and mostly just gravy. The beaten rice, chiura, came with small pieces of stone. Totally ruined the mood. The only good dish we had there was the aaloo taama soup. The food was really delicious the first time I went there, which was about a year ago. Not sure what changed in the kitchen but the food quality has deteriorated recently.

We went on a Friday night. Food came a little late. Titaura Soaltee(drink) is the best here. Momo was okay. The taste was not as expected. Goat taas was tasty. I recommend eating mixed bara here. Absolutely delicious food! The flavors were authentic and reminded me of the traditional dishes I had when visiting Nepal. The momos were to die for, and the chicken curry was perfectly spiced. The server named Ashmita was friendly and attentive too. Definitely coming back

Unless youre from Nepal and just want to hang out for hours, skip this joint. Food was not edible. (Dont try the smelts.) Service was among the worst I have had in quite a while. The waitress was friendly, she just had no idea what she was doing. Every time we ordered something she gave it to the wrong person. (Party of 2!) The entrees were not delivered at the same time to each person. This is probably a cultural thing but I found it quite off-putting. Especially because every time we ordered something he waitress would give it to the other person. Also gross .... Smoke hit me in the face upon entering. When I left about 6 men where standing at entrance smoking by designated smoking area sign. Bad idea.

I visited this restaurant yesterday, attracted by its cozy ambiance, hoping for a relaxing dining experience. Unfortunately, the service deeply disappointed me. From the moment I sat down, it was as if I became invisible to the staff. There was a complete lack of attention; no one came to ask what I might need or want to order, leaving me feeling neglected throughout my visit. The food, when it finally arrived, was far below expectations. Without delving into specifics, I ll just say that it did not meet the standard I hoped for from such a promising setting. Additionally, a persistent bad smell emanating from the location further marred what was already a regrettable dining experience.

We had a disappointing experience at Bara Restaurant, giving it zero stars. The service was the worst - overpriced menu, unwelcoming staff, unhygienic water, and rude waitresses. This newly opened place ruined our night, and the behavior was unexpected. Despite paying and leaving a tip, they dont deserve gratitude. Wont return and wont recommend this place to anyone.

Cant speak to the food but will definitely be back to eat. Im a delivery driver and even though I had to wait a while for the customers order they were so sweet and even gave me a free coke while I waited! Gotta love a place that takes care of delivery drivers! And the atmosphere was pretty cool too, so will definitely be back :)
