I actually used to come here a lot because I love their cinnamon roll pancakes. The service here is always subpar. A bunch of people standing around talking and oblivious to guests just waiting to be acknowledged. The prices are insanely high which I pay because I really enjoy a hearty breakfast. However, they have implemented a new rule that you can only have two mimosas at brunch. What does everyone think of when they think of the word brunch? Mimosas. I ordered two before my friend and I ordered food. We ordered our meals and then I tried to order a third mimosa and they said no. So 3 oz at $11 a pop of champagne is a cap at 2? Absolutely ridiculous. Read up on the laws people. So disappointing. I m not trying to get lit at brunch but to be cut off when you have had two mimosas is just disrespectful. I canceled my food and will never be going back. I ll save my $80 a trip for somewhere that doesn t have weird rules that make no sense.

Laura gave us some of the best service i ve ever received, and i don t say that lightly. vibe is pretty good, obviously quite busy during brunch. only thing is that i would advise against getting the hash browns crispy because they deep fry them and they get really hard to eat properly with a fork.

Was super disappointed in the food here. I ordered an acai bowl and it was very thin and soupy. The flavor was not fabulous either. For the price, I was not impressed. My husband ordered a chicken breakfast sandwich type of plate and while he did enjoy it at first, he found the center of the chicken wasn t cooked. Service was also very slow. We had a party of 4, and 2 of the hot meals were served and it took almost 20min for the third hot meal to be served. The acai bowl didn t come until later despite being the only thing not needing to be cooked.

Notice My waffle has no chicken.. thats because I sent it back as it was over-cooked and oily. Our server Michelle was pleasant but at the same time when she asked how the food looked and I replied this does not look good she replied with Enjoy I had to flag her down to send it back?? My husbands food was subpar at best and for the prices, its a no. Then the manager ONLY charged me $11 for a waffle topped with green onion that I didnt eat. At least the water was filtered... oh and skip the lemonade. Its from a jug and taste artificial.

Eh at best. Unfortunately the food came out after a long wait and was cold. Waitress wouldn t pick up our plates after we were done and they all just sat at the end of the table. Not once did we get our waters filled. Seemed like there was a lot of disorder behind the scenes. Not sure we will be back but hoping they are just having a bad day. Even as we am we re leaving the whole bar had empty plates just sitting there..

The Seven Mile Latte is hands down the best in town! Husband and I go here several times a month because the food and coffee is always great, and the staff is friendly and prompt. Only complaints would be that its rather pricey, we never get out under $60 (with tip) for 2 people - though we do both get coffees and full meals. Also, love that they have a full vegan menu, but please for the love of all that is holy bring back the tofu scramble!! The Just Egg tastes weird.

The restaurant has wonderful food at Fair prices, however one member of our party did not receive their food and it took more than 30 minutes to receive a small cup of soup and their portion of food. Staff are polite but extremely overwhelmed at the time we were there. The restaurant is clean as are the bathrooms. Parking is fine with lots of room in the area. Recommend you visit and give it a try!

After waiting for an hour and a half, our seats were the closest to the toilet and waiters service table. Waiter throw away the garbage and dont pick it up even if it falls, and every time they take water of coffee from their service are, they hit the chairs. The space planning and environment was suboptimal. Also the food was of low quality. We waited 30 minutes after we ordered. I lost my appetite. The Mimosa had no sparkle even though it had champagne in it, the BLT Sandwich didn t have any flavor, No mayo, No nothing in it,as well as little bacon, to add the bread was very dry. The French Toast was SOGGY ! It was NOT worth the wait. I don t even want to give them one star. Very very disappointed.

Got here at 8 am on a Saturday with my husband. Was not busy. The hostess was talking with another hostess and even said seat them in this section bc the server hasn t been sat yet. Anyway , we waited 20 minutes and never saw our server. Other servers walked by and no one acknowledged we were sitting there with no drinks for 20 minutes. We walked out and went across the street to first watch and had coffee and water with in 5 minutes and were eating in 20 minutes. Do not recommend this seven mile at all because this is not the first time the servers and staff have little regard to what is going on

First time today attending breakfast on Easter morning walked out saying we would be attending breakfast there every Sunday moving forward. The food was beyond spectacular. For me, one of the main staple for this place was the smoked Gouda grits. 10 years of being a faithful patron has ended. They have change. I couldn t eat them, not what they used to be. The place is an excellent choice for families if you are in the area. The good: - food is fresh, very well portioned, and they have plenty of options. From breakfast bowls to scrambled eggs, and sweeter options. - the ambiance is very relaxed and enjoyable. It has good seating for both large and smalls parties. - they have a good drink menu, including juices, and coffee bar, and alcoholic drinks (mimosas, Bloody Mary, etc) - prices for food range from $10 - $19, and drinks vary from $8-13, and most coffees are around $6, juices are $4.5. The not so good: - Our server was extremely polite. But they were a bit slow, both for service and for the food. So, be patient. They did seat us right away though. - Parking is shared, and it was packed.

The food here is always delicious. Came here on a weekday, 30 minutes before the restaurant closed with a toddler and an infant, and was graciously welcomed by Laura. Went there for Sunday brunch with my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandbaby. Went online to get on the wait list and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The waitstaff was absolutely !! They explained that the kitchen was backed up a little due to a party of 20. No problem! Food came soon enough. All of our dishes were excellent. Being from Capitola, I got the Capitola tacos. The food was good but showed up to my table cold. And for what I got in the breakfast I ordered, I found it extremely overpriced. Two eggs over easy, an order of hashbrowns, two strips of bacon and three pancakes. All the way cold, by the way. Not room temp, but like left under an AC unit cold. And it came out to about 27.50. Yes thats right almost 30 dollars for something I could have gotten at Dennys for 12 bucks. Very good place to have a pretentious brunch with a pretentious bunch. The absolute worst service & meal weve ever had in all our years of eating at seven mile. 1st coffee order, 2 cups bottomless turned out to be charged for 4 cups. Had to practically beg for a refill. Daughter ordered a latte & after asking about it 3 times & being told lattes were running slow, it arrived at end of meal. Daughter also ordered a benny dish that was supposed to include sliced tomatoes & avocado. She asked waitress about it & was told oops will bring ASAP. ASAP ended being after giving up & eating a cold dish due to waiting for rest of order. After meal was over waitress brought tomatoes & avocado with check. Later noticed bill included $1 for diced tomato instead of sliced & $3 for avocado all of which were left on table since meal was over & plates had already been picked up. When my order was brought out I asked for ketchup, after asking 2 more times, was told that there was a bottle on table behind my back that I could go get. Made me feel like a real jerk for asking. Next time I will grab a bottle off empty table while being escorted to table. I learned a lesson from this visit; pay attention to the bill before paying, dont order coffee or lattes, refuse food upon delivery if items are missing or wrong. I usually tip our wait staff no less than 25%+ but only left 19% yesterday. Daughter & Son In Law usually go to Denton location, but went with us due to us raving about how this location was better & closer than Denton. Daughter left practically in tears, so dont think they will be rushing back. I felt so bad about the ordeal that I refused to let them pay, so that at least if it was a bad experience for them at least it was a free meal.

Had a weird exchange here. There was an issue with our order. When calling to get it reordered, rather than a simple sorry to hear that, we ll get it fixed right away we got a well you must have been the problem that took more time to resolve than needed. Then, after we finally got all that cleared up (after having to go out again to pick up the correct order), we realized they didn t provide the cinnamon roll substitute that we paid for and have on the receipt. So, extra effort, disappointing customer service, and not even getting the correct order has kind of turned us off this location.

Ive been to Seven Mile Cafe quite a few times and it has always been hit or miss for me. The last time I went was lunch with a friend. I ordered the Very Berry French Toast with a side of eggs and bacon. The french toast was amazing and worth every dollar, which is why I gave 3 stars. The scrambled eggs were overpriced for what I received. They were rubbery and for what I paid for them, did not at all seem like there were even two eggs in there. The bacon was called out as thick cut on the menu, but had the texture of the microwaveable bacon from Hormel. It was thin, chewy, and oily. Two slices of that was definitely not worth almost 5 bucks. Service was okay. This was my first visit after consistently seeing a packed parking lot, only to have my expectations lowered. Food was decent. Service was okay. Overall, it just really wasnt anything to shout about. The price, Ill shout about that. Pricing is horribly expensive! Two people, two breakfast entrees, two waters, one coffee, and one fresh squeezed orange juice = $52.00 + tip. In my opinion, a breakfast meal shouldnt cost that much. You guessed it, I wont be back. There are too many other good breakfast places around.

Seven Mile is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots!!! The Jo s Tacos, French Toast, Biscuits + Gravy, and Iced Latte w/Oat Milk are my go-to items!!! This is the spot that got me hooked on oat milk years ago. It s all so delicious! The ambiance is great, too. Be sure to add yourself to the waitlist on Yelp if you re coming on the weekend because this place gets packed, especially on Sundays! Many of the waiters/waitresses are friendly and helpful, but Charlie is the best! She is genuinely interested in her customers and sparks up great conversation! The last time we visited, Charlie ensured we had everything we needed. The food came out hot and fresh. A great experience, overall!

As breakfast places go, I feel like Seven Mile Cafe is overrated. The plates are huge, prices are high, service is terribly slow, and the food is mediocre at best. Hashbrowns are typically raw/barely cooked with a few brown pieces sprinkled in - theyre piled a mile high, so I can imagine its hard to get a solid cook on them. My soft scrambled eggs were crunchy this last time, and toast was a bit dry. Go elsewhere. There are plenty of better options in the area for breakfast/brunch.

This was my first time at this location. It was very loud: louder even than the Denton or Lewisville locations, and hard to talk with our family members. Food was not nearly as good as the other locations: hippie salad was different, Monte Cristo tasted like rancid oil, waffle was soggy, bacon was charred fat. I honestly didnt think it was possible to prepare bacon in a way that didnt taste good. The waitress dumped water in our purses, which is forgivable, but the staff members didnt mop the floor well: customers and staff members had to tip toe through the puddle over pieces of ice, and the river of water stayed under the table until after we left. Instead of being overly apologetic, the waitress basically said, well, yeah, so you can see this is a terrible day. Then, the fried chicken on my hippie salad was REALLY dry. I wouldnt have said anything, but one of my table mates mentioned it to the waitress. She asked what I wanted to do about it, and my husband said, could we get more chicken that isnt so dried out? The waitress asked if I wanted grilled chicken, and I told her that I didnt. I asked the waitress if any new fried chicken would be the same, and she said that it would. Yes, I would say that our waitress was having a bad day. If this was my first time at a Seven Mile Cafe, I probably wouldnt go back. However, since Seven Mile is one of our favorite restaurants, we may not return to this location. By the way, I have never posted a negative review of a restaurant before. I dont make a habit of complaining about bad experiences...this was noteworthy.

Vegetarian options: We were there for a birthday brunch, and what a disappointment . First we were greeted very friendly and soon got water and coffee BUT had to wait 2 and a half hours for the food. After seating there for so long being diabetic we wanted to just pay for the coffee and walk out, but we couldnt even get the waitress attention to pay. As we waited and saw people come in and out way after us, finally, the food arrived COLD and poorly presented as if it had been thrown on the plate. We wouldnt recommend the place. This location gets consistent ratings for food as compared to Denton location. Kids pancake and waffles tasted more fresh. Chocolate chips were slightly extra ! Yes, keep them coming !! For a Monday Morning breakfast after 11AM, the service was terrible!! This is a great breakfast, brunch, lunch place! Looks like they were short staffed when we went but they were super friendly and we could tell they were doing their best with what they had to work with. Our server actually greeted us, seated us, served us and was doing cleanup as well. She kept a smile on her face and never seemed to dally. It did take a really long time to get a coffee and our food - so much so that we wondered if they forgot to turn it in. Luckily, we were not in a hurry and it offered more time to visit. The food is fantastic! The three pancake platter could literally have fed all 3 of us. We got a side of bacon and hashbrowns and my husband and I split all of that. Our daughter got a bigger assortment of breakfast items and could not finish it. The pancakes are HUGE and wonderfully tasty! You wont be disappointed with the food here. Quite an assortment of options for all tastes and dietary needs. The one thing we were surprised by is that we had to order the bacon and hashbrowns on the side. We didnt see an option for pancakes and bacon/sausage. The side of bacon is a bit expensive for two slices, but it is very good quality, thick sliced bacon. Weve been to a couple of locations and have not been disappointed.

My first time ever to the Seven Mile Cafe (Highland Village). I m pretty sure that today I had the best pancake of my life and at 63 years old, I ve had a lot of pancakes. I also had the O G Benny. The food was fantastic and that alone earns 5 stars. My server, Laura, deserves 5 more stars all to herself. She was by far the best server I ve had in a very long time. CONs: None that would keep me from coming back. However, next visit Ill show up before shift change between breakfast and lunch. Chose this place because of the all day breakfast option. I experienced a long wait for a smoothie (approx. 10 mins) and 1 meal (approx. 20 mins). I ended up asking for it be packed up to go to avoid missing my appointment. And the place was not busy. If you like sweets try the brioche French toast with fresh berries or the Bonanza pancake - it s filled with bananas and drizzled with Nutella. The servers are the best here. The host was amazing. However, everything went downhill from there. I ordered the bacon biscuit sandwich meal and requested scrambled hard eggs that did not happen. I also requested fried hard hashbrowns (I wish I had taken a picture). However, they came out as the bottom of the fryer basket (crumbs) un-eatable. Now, they attempted to remake them, and now they are mash potatoes/ un-eatable. Would never recommend or return to this establishment.
