I recently stayed 1 night at Holiday Inn Harlingen hotel where we directly booked 2 rooms with Isaac quoting us king executive room at 134 with taxes totaling $154. Now I have received an additional $11.00 x 2 (for each room) approx on my credit card. Upon calling and verifying with Isaac who checked us in , said that the additional amount is the difference what was originally quoted at 143 plus taxes $165. He denied that he had discounted and lied. We rented 2 rooms and clearly Isaac said that with senior/AAA discount rate will be discounted to134! Do not trust the hotel when renting the room, specially Isaac!! Book online!!!

I was not able to enjoy my stay do to the fact that I was given a room that the smell paint was flirting in to the room. My wife got sick do to the strong smell of the paint. My room was surrounded by freshly painted rooms. I have no idea what kind of oil base paint was used because it smell bad. To make worst the rooms doors were left open. Front desk was no help at first. The guy with the long hair stated that there was no other rooms available what paid for and there where rooms to upgrade me to because they were taken. I went out to go eat and when I return the smell was so bad in the room. I when to the front desk again to ask them to air vent the hallway by opening the stair doors or something. Since I was told there were no more rooms. I was told by a different staff member older chubby man. that they could not open the stairs door for safety regulations. He told me I could get another room in a different room. This was a surprise and piss out point since the other one told me there was no more king since rooms. I move to the first floor but at this point my wife was already sick because of the smell. It ruined her weekend.

This place is great only reason Im not giving five stars is just due to the fact that every time I stay which is pretty frequent as of recently, the streaming services on the TVs never work. I get them up there to go in and take a look and theyre always telling me the same thing. We have new TVs, blah blah blah. The only thing available is going to be the 50 some channels on the cable. So why have the features of streaming services on your TVs if youre not going to actually allow them to be used.

We came for he RGV Birding Festival and this was a great place to stay. Its about five minutes from the convention center, easy to get in and out of, and plenty of parking. The best part was the management opened up breakfast early for us birders who had early trips scheduled. Incredible service, will definitely stay here again when we come back

Rooms: My room had a dehumidifier in it. In the summer when it s humid, it made a huge difference. Safety: Back and side doors are always locked and accessible with room key card. Late at night the front door is closed. A lot of law enforcement people stay here, so safety isn t a real big issue. It s safe to walk a few hundred yards to nearby eateries and pharmacy. Noteworthy details: When I stayed here in 2022, there weren t any hair dryers in the rooms. When I asked the front desk why there wasn t one in my room, I was told that they stopped putting them in the rooms because people were stealing them and they couldn t give me one. When I told them that their website is falsely advertising having hair dryers in each room, then the manager was able to find one for me.

When the AC would turn on, it would start to make a loud vibrating noise. It was mentioned to the front desk but never took action. Instead ended up putting the suit case on top of the AC and that seemed to stop it from vibrating. There was a cockroach killed in the room. Mold was also found in the restroom. Had to call the front desk to ask for sheets and pillows for the sofa bed. Shouldnt they already be there?

I traveled for work to this hotel and they were great! The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and it even had a dehumidifier. Their breakfast was yummy and they had plenty of good options. My coworker was my means of transport, but there was a Cinemark and a chilis within walking distance. The location seemed central. From the time of check-in. The person who checked me in was either not happy to be at work or just in a bad mood. Not greeted very well at all. I felt as if I was staying at a lower scale hotel. I then experienced a very loud hallway and slamming of doors until 6am. I did let them know that it was going on, but their excuse was its spring break. I then advised that someone kept trying to put their key on my key pad as of yet were trying to get in. Again, nothing that was an issue to them. Safety should be a priority. Before writing this review, I reached out and was written back by Nicole Valdez. There was just an apology, but in no way was there any time offered to make it right, especially for what I paid to stay and not get the rest I needed. I traveled from Dallas to see my Ill father with cancer, and I didnt expect to have to worry about the hospitality of the hotel to be so low. I usually stay at Marriott across the street but decided to give them a try since Ive been traveling to harlingen every months to see my father. I should have just known from check-in that it was not going to be a good experience. I hope they try to do better on the future and not expect the customer to pay for less than average service when staying at their hotel. There is definitely room for training in many areas. Walkability: There is a lot around about 5 min walking distance. However, the hotel itself isnt very helpful. Food and drinks: Not very much to choose from in the market at the hotel. If its late and you have an upset stomach, theres no alka seltzer or ibuprofen or anything that other hotels of their stature should have available.

We stayed one night, and this was horrible, our restroom was FULL of hairs everywhere. Hairs in the shower, floor and on the sink, I also found one of the small towels with black stains (like if someone wiped mascara off) very disgusting. I called the front desk right away, I was told by front desk they would call me back and never did. This is a clean place. It feels safe. The bed is super comfortable I would say similar to a Marriott. The price is very good. The water gets hot. The breakfast was eggs, bacon (crispy and the lady kept the tray full) sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls fresh, misc other. Some say the lady that serves breakfast is rude I would say NO she s not rude, your rude! I witnessed what she goes through people will come and pile their plates over the top not even mentioning all their to go containers full and ask for more of this and more of that after she just restocked I would be rude too! I don t know how they are able to still serve delicious bacon because of the hoarders, people were taking a plate full at a time but bless the lady s heart she kept it coming! So for anyone mad at her just think she likely earns low wages to take all that abuse from rude customers. We saw a couple walk in at 9:40 they close at 9:30 they came outside lying saying we got to the breakfast at 9:10 and the milk was locked, no sir we saw y all arrive at 9:40 okay so, nice people please tip this lady a few bucks! The tv works good, the microwave works OH and important to me the AC gets cold, did I mention if nothing else worked the bed is worth the stay. I recommend this place. PS the amenities are dove products and the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel is Watkins products. Update: The last three nights a bus load came at 9pm and left at 8 am so we got no bacon 2 days and no cinnamon rolls three days. They have a managers reception Monday thru Thursday 5-7 pm 2 free drinks per person and snacks. I enjoyed taking wine to my room to drink later. The morning staff don t tell you but the evening staff will. I ve enjoyed my stay here.

This place allows house keeping to run wild and do what they want. The house keeping will try to bum money from the men who stay there and will give their phone numbers out in case the customer needs help or extra care for their stay. Then continuously try contacting the customer even when they don t respond.

Receptionist upon arrival was nice, but you all should have someone more welcoming at front desk. Hotel was clean. Woke up late, so we did not get to enjoy breakfast

Its under remodeling, courteous front desk upon checking in .The room was decent but its an older property so dont expect new. Overall good stay hallways carry a loud echo.
