Good location, but lack of concern or help in regards to me having to through out all of my food and beverages due to the refrigerator going out while I was gone throughout the day(Thursday). I raised my concerns to Marco H. And he said they would get a maintenance guy to check it out and make it right. The came close to midnight (spoke to them about the issue at first around 8:30pm) got it changed out. I went to the front desk the next day and Marco was not there and never left a note for anyone about the situation. Come Sunday morning he was there, I informed him that the situation was never made right, and it s not comforting to have to discard that much food product with the cost of goods these days. I stayed there from that Wednesday night through Sunday. This stay left a sour note. I work in the hospitality industry as well and making sure things are handled properly is key and by the way my issue was brushed off I can tell that customer care is not a priority for this employee.

BIG THANKS AND SHOUT OUT to David, Liza, and Marcie. During my stay, the bar became extremely overcrowded due to a thunderstorm that forced people into this location UNPLANNED and UNANNOUNCED. As you would expect, several people became irritated at having to wait. The hotel staff was not expecting 150 people to just drop in, so they weren t staffed up for it. Despite the challenges and lack of patience by a number of the customers, the team of David, Liza, and Marcie absolutely killed it! Kind to every customer, and did everything possible to make things smooth. STAR EMPLOYEES FOR SURE! This is a very clean and well maintained property. My entire stay was great.

I have to say that this is one of the best Hilton Garden that Ive stayed. The room was nice. The lobby is excellent and the gym was adequate. If you dont like to use the treadmill, you can run around the block which I did and it is very safe.

The best hotel that I have stayed at in Harlingen coming back from seeing a SpaceX launch ! The hotel attendants were very friendly, and informative. Location wise was the best no one playing loud music, and very quiet at night. It is away from the hustle and bustle of town while still being close to all the restaurant. Rooms were very clean and comfortable especially the beds ! I slept so good the beds are super soft, and have great pillows. Only thing I would suggest is maybe having more water pressure in the showers. Overall the shower was great very soft water that flowed out. Definitely recommend people to stay here if traveling through Harlingen !

Im here for work and I usually stay at a different hotel when Im in town. I wanted to try a different place, and Im glad I switched. The lobby area is very calming, and the bar/restaurant is centrally located right in the lobby. I love that theres no extra elevator ride or secret room to go through to enjoy the bar. My LIT is great and Im waiting to try the Pepperoni Flatbread.

This is a destination-location, so it pretty much stands on its own when it comes to Harlingen. The staff is super-friendly and accommodating - I even got a call from the front desk after checking in to see if my room was okay. Breakfast is served from 6a-10a, and there is a bar for later day use. You can also visit their convenience shop for snacks, drinks or other sundry items. Parking is plentiful without an additional charge, which is nice. The hotel is connected to the Convention Center, so you can move to both locations without being exposed to the elements.

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel. I read the reviews before staying here and I did not notice the one posted about the room having terrible pillows and the bed itself was not comfortable. Unfortunately, still an issue, we did not sleep well due to both the pillows being very very uncomfortable and the mattress not being comfortable. I spoke about this to the lady at the front when checking out and she said the manager was not available but would call me although I did not receive a call. Also, the bathrooms have an automatic on and off light sensor and if you do not close the door,(at night) the light can go on and off. Only positive thing was the breakfast being reasonably priced and food was good. The waitress was also attentive. Probably not stay at this location again.

The staff were kind, courtesy and generally great, the location was central for all of my traveling needs, 5 stars to both of these things. The room itself was awful, the AC didnt work well, and gave me a sinus infection, the mini fridge was unplugged when I arrived and never got cold so all the drinks and food I brought was ruined, the dual sliding shower doors didnt close all the way so it leaked onto the floor, the pipe coming from the wall was leaking as well and when I walked into the bathroom in the morning the floor was soaked.

Im a Hilton honors member, and this was only the 2nd time Ive been disappointed. The 1st time was in Hawaii, but that was an issue with the front desk customer service. This time was after a long drive from Houston and attending a couple of meetings, I was really looking forward to a hot shower when I get to my room. Unfortunately, the water temperature only reached a luke warm then when I got into my bed I felt crumbs in it....that was horrible I still look forward to many more stays with Hilton, but this wasnt their best.

As a 7 year strong Hilton diamond member who travels weekly and to South Texas almost monthly, I can confidently say that this is one of the nicer hotels in the state of Texas. The rooms are VERY nice, the hotel itself is VERY clean, the fitness center isn t lacking, and the bar has great food & beverage options. The Hotel staff was very friendly and very upbeat. The overnight staff at front desk staff was nice., especially Angel, who greeted us every night with a positive attitude and a welcoming and genuine smile. The manager never returned call about billing discrepancy after checking out after 90 days and the staff in dining area in morning did not make you feel welcomed, half the time, not making eye contact thus the reason I purchased from cracker barrel and other food places. Half the cleaning staff had limited English but were very pleasant and had the hotel in immaculate condition. The dollar store pillows and quality of the mattress did not live up to the Hilton name or quality I am use too in the Northern parts of the Unied States. Cultural diversity training is also needed and enforced. Respectfully and honestly speaking.

Beautiful fairly new hotel next to the Harlingen Conference Center. Its tucked in behind the huge Bass ProShops complex. Hard to see from the highway but also protected from the noise and traffic that goes along with being on the feeder road of the major hwy. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I stay at this Hilton when I fly down to Harlingen for work. I love every minute of my stay! Everyone on staff is wonderful! Marco, Carlos, and Eva are great at the front desk! Alicia and Evelyn always have a smile in the morning for breakfast. I dont know who the chef is, but my Cobb salad is always delicious! During one of my stays, I had some issues with my shower, John the engineer fixed it before I got back to my room at lunch! Daniel and I had a nice chat while he drove me to the airport! This is just a great place to stay and I will always choose Hilton when I fly to the border! Rooms: The room is wonderful! There is a lot of space in the room. The beds are super comfy, but not too soft, there is a mini-fridge and microwave available along with the usually coffee machine Walkability: There is a barbeque restaurant within walking distance if you did not want to dine at the hotel, there is also a Sams Club there too!

Terrible experience!!!! Avoid this hotel and its staff. I made a reservation at this hotel and paid in advance, what was my surprise that when I arrived the hotel was oversold and they didnt give me my room. The person at the Front Desk was rude and pushy and told me to go to a cheaper hotel. I asked him for an explanation as to why my reservation wasnt there and he told me it wasnt his fault to do what I wanted. Hotel looks great and is new with a wonderful gym. But front desk staff seemed like they had no idea what was going on. No status greeting, unaware of status benefits and was told no upgrade for me even though they had a room available, because I was on government per diem rate. Last time I stay at a Hilton. I am a diamond member and stay at Hiltons weekly. I checked in online early in the day as the app prompted me. I was very humiliated & racially profiled as I was walking into the lobby on Saturday night 3/11/23 @ about midnight an employee male asking to see my identification to verify that I was staying there. There were our people walking in as well but he only asked me for my credentials. I asked him why & his reply was, it s hotel policy & my reply was I have never read nor have I ever been asked this. I went threw all the reservations confirmation info & forward it to my brother in law as he is an attorney and he stated that there is nothing in black & white & that this situation needs to be dealt with! The Front Desk person yesterday evening was helpful. The EV charger wasnt working and he sought out the Maintenance Man who knew exactly how to get it going. Saved us from sitting at the Supercharger for 40 minutes this morning before continuing our trip. The rooms were clean, the shower water hot, the surrounding area safe. Great options at the little store down in the lobby from frozen meals & ice cream, to fresh fruit and baked goods and plenty of beverage options including waters, sodas, juices of all sorts and even beer and wine. You definitely pay for the convenience which is to be expected. Few negatives (which wouldnt deter me from staying there again) would be no room service menu in the room and when I called to see what they offered, I did not get an answer . I checked the tv guide and options but didnt find anything there either. Also I couldnt find a pen or paper which I randomly needed this visit. Isnt that a standard in a room...? Lastly, I couldnt figure out the bathroom motion sensor light so part of my showers (it happened twice) were in the dark. But thats likely a me thing.

We normally do not have an issue with this hotel. However, this last time we had an issue with the water having a rotten egg odor. I couldnt shower as the smell of the water made me nauseous. My husband had to buy bottled water to brush our teeth.

Nice, clean hotel with good amenities. Gym was nicely equipped. Food at the in house restaurant was good. Courtesy shuttle was available from time to time which was helpful. Pleasant and helpful staff.

I didnt like the thermostat in the room. It is motion activated. No constant fan on setting. Chairs in room are uncomfortable to set in.

Hotel was expensive for a Hilton Garden Inn (i am not complaining about offer/demand). But if you have to stay there and you need Connecting Rooms, dont stay there. I booked a couple connecting rooms and even got a shiny note on my reservation that says: Your connecting rooms are confirmed with Confirmed Connecting Rooms by Hilton... guess what? Got no connecting rooms. Their staff is eager to find the guilty party instead of focusing into solving the problem, and they will blame anybody: Hilton Honors, the website... hell, they even tried to blame it on me because i did not called them directly! Bunch of poorly trained people that doesnt even know their SOPs.

Lights didnt work in my room. The front desk was not helpful in meeting my needs. I couldnt do laundry due to no detergent. They only told me they were out after refusing to give me quarters by charging the cost to my room. So I had to use the ATM and pay the 4$ fee. Two days later they still dont have detergent. They dont offer laundry service only dry cleaning. They dont keep coffee out for guests and when they did early on the weekend there was no half and half. I expect better accommodations from the garden inn. Ive been in better hampton inn.

Javier is extremely perfect with his job as general manager. The bartenders are amazing, the chefs, the people at the front desk & even the cleaning staff! I m a flight attendant & I can not tell you how much of a difference it makes when staff makes you feel like you re at a hotel compared to making you feel like you re at home! From our company to yours (WAA) we would just just like to tell you thank you for taking care of us!

My family used to travel to Harlingen, Texas often, but we hadnt been back in 13 years. We wanted a new hotel, and I did the research. I found the BEST hotel in Harlingen, and I cant wait to return. It is the Hilton Garden Inn at the Convention Center. My first experience was with Jessica as I called the hotel instead of making reservations online. She was amazing! So kind, so knowledgeable, so helpful, and great customer service skills. After my conversation, I felt I had a new best friend. The next day, I had some additional questions, and I called again. I visited with Eva. She was just as kind and gracious as Jessica, and when I met her at the hotel she was so sweet and accommodating. When we arrived at the hotel, check-in was a breeze and that is when we met Jennifer and she was just one more amazing member of the Hilton Garden Inn team. All of them made us feel so special. They made us feel like family. The hotel is beautiful. Very bright, modern, open, and cheerful. It sparkled with cleanliness! Our room was large, comfortable, and very functional. The beds and pillows were so comfy. We had plenty of hot water, great air conditioning and good wifi. The breakfast buffet in the Lounge is one of the best Ive had at a Hilton. The service was great, and that is where I met another fabulous staff member, Emma. She is a high school senior that works several jobs. She was awesome! So kind, so cheerful, and she was always right there to take care of all my needs. The breakfast fruit was absolutely delicious. If was so fresh. The melon was sweet and extremely tasty. Our visit was during the high Delta variant of COVID, but I never felt unsafe in the room or in the hotel. The grounds were clean and manicured. I am a walker, and I thoroughly enjoyed walking the complex. The Harlingen wind was perfect for walking. I didnt go to the pool, but I saw a person maintaining the pool several times. This is my favorite hotel in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a hotel in the Harlingen area. I intend to stay there when I return. It will be my home away from home! I cant wait to return. Thank you, Hilton, for building such a great hotel, for making me feel safe, and for hiring such an AMAZING staff!!! Thank you for the HILTON GARDEN INN in Harlingen, Texas.
