First layover here. Nice lil stay. The hotel is near some restaurants, grocery stores, and other businesses w/ in a 5-10 min. walk. I really appreciate that my room had both a working mini fridge/ freezer combo and personal microwave. It is so nice not to have to heat my food in the lobby. Its starting to become an inconvenience for us crew members, especially when we go a whole day w/ out having the time to eat. Theres also a guest laundry area on the 2nd floor where my room was located and a gym on the 1st floor before the elevator o. the left side of the hotel. The gym is small but has a couple of treadmills and dumbbells for weights and even an elliptical machine, tv, water station, and towelz.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Courtyard Marriott. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. A fan was blowing on the wet carpet, which created an unpleasant odor. 2. The trash can had water in it and was without a trash bag. 3. Most concerning, we woke up to find two large roaches in our room. While I appreciate the discount for using the friends and family rate, these conditions were unacceptable and not reflective of the standard I expect from your hotel.

Google needs another rating category to cover the property facilities as a whole, in this case the room was ok but the overall facility needs some help. Not sure what was worse, the black curlies on the bathroom tile or the cockroach hiding in the corner behind the water dispenser. Additionally, the gym was a balmy 77 degrees and about 95% humidity, i.e. the AC wasn t working. Now normally if I m going for a run outside and it s humid but only 77, no big deal, but in a stuffy 14 by 14 foot room, it gets uncomfortable pretty quick. They have a bar and they can serve Starbucks style coffee drinks from there but apparently they don t choose to staff that during the day. All in all if I had a choice, and I didn t, work made the lodging arrangements not me, I would pass on this hotel. But then again, in Harlingen, you may not have much choice.

They were stains on the couch very nasty Top it off I had to iron and the iron was broken and the ironing board was all messed up I couldnt stand by itself. Outstanding customer service, starting with Paul, the employee who checked me in, as well as Robert Perez and Laura in the Bistro. I found all employees to be super friendly and helpful, and whenever I needed assistance, they actually walked me to where I needed to go, or connected me in person to the individual who could help! These guys are an examplary example of what it means to deliver an outstanding customer experience!

I hade to make a last minute reservation after becoming super sick with food poisoning after returning from Mexico the employee at the front desk named Stephanie went above and beyond to ensure I was ok she even made me a basket with water Gatorade and other items!! I highly recommend staying here and if I was the manager or owner I would take very good care of Stephanie as she is truly exceptional

My company booked my stay there and upon arriving the person working in the Am was no where to be found I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes while Stephanie the front desk agent was in the back laughing it up with other employees. I arrived around 1pm she was completely rude and unprofessional her attitude seemed like she didn t want to be there. When asking her about a good place to eat she pout like she was bothered by my questions..very unprofessional it made me feel like I wasn t wanted there at all. If it was not for my bad experience with this one staff member I would have rated my stay higher ! However due to her attitude and making feel like I was not wanted there I will be letting my company know not to book me there again until there is better service. Overall the rooms were nice. Stephanie happily wanted to help me at the front desk to make some copies to get ready for my speech in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints this Sunday as we ve just moved to our new home and don t have a printer. She did 20 pages of printing for me and also helped me get a label to send back my Brooks running shoes all With no hesitation and with great joy in helping me , unbelievable thank you Stephanie. . Clarence, flight attendant For Southwest Nearby activities: Big Cinemark movie house right across the street Golden Corral less than a quarter of a mile away and a Walgreens one block away etc. etc. Safety: Just a good part of town. Walkability: Big trees all around and a huge parking lot for the movie theater next-door for walking with no traffic around

Great location for a business trip! There is an HEB down the block, and plenty of dining options within a half-mile. This location is about 15 mins from Valley Int l Airport. I really appreciated how the staff worked extra hard to get me checked in early, and allowed me full run of the common area for a couple of meetings I had prior to check-in. The room was clean, and there was even a large refrigerator in it (never seen that in a Courtyard!).

The rooms are outdated and not as clean as I had hoped. There is a damp, musty, old water smell throughout the hallways and particularly in the rooms. This is the reason for such a low rating aside from the fact that the windows have no screens on them. I thought at least allowing a breeze in would help some with the odors, but the windows are old and very difficult to open and close properly. The laundry is free and very convenient. You do have to purchase your own detergent. There is a pool and a nice courtyard for sitting and walking. There is a movie theatre, an HEB and a Chilis walking distance which is very nice. Staff is attentive and friendly and they did try to help with my concerns by offering me a different room, but both rooms had the same issues unfortunately. Safety: The windows do not lock. And are very difficult to open and close. The area seems to be quiet aside from the car wash beside the hotel. There are a few closed businesses with boarded windows surrounding the hotel. Walkability: There are several restaurants, stores and a movie theatre very close by. Food and drinks: There is a bar in the lobby downstairs. Noteworthy details: There is a moisture issue and possibly mold throughout the hotel.

The gentleman at the counter was superb, we were very excited to finally find a hot tub that worked. However dissatisfied when we went outside to the hot tub and it was barely warm. The hot tub was the reason we chose the hotel. Very sad, if you re going to advertise a hot tub at least keep it warm. The room was ok but sub par for a Marriot.

There was a woman at the front desk, Misty, who was literally nothing short of a professional when It came to making me feel like a welcomed guest. Im here for my moms 60th surprise bday party, AND a work trip.. Id been under so much stress, and travel time to get here had been insane, but the way Misty comported herself as an absolute professional made me feel right at home. Would def come back if thats the kind of service I can expect. Walkability: I am a final-mile logistics expert. I picked this place on location alone. Glad that everything else turned far better than I could have imagined.

Stayed here a couple times and both were great stays. Very convenient to the freeway, nearby restaurants, and grocery store. The lady checking us in on 10/14/23 was extremely nice and efficient. The staff were wonderful! The customer service was excellent. I had an issue, and needed to change rooms. It was take care of right away. The hotel rooms mainly the bathrooms could use with some updating. I don t think the staff have any control over that. It was located a block from an HEB, a mile from Walmart and 10 minutes from the airport.

The location was great with a movie theater next door, a mall across the freeway, many restaurants nearby, and two interstates in case you need to make a quick getaway. The hotel is pretty old but well maintained. The elevator is down a long hallway from check-in. This seems to be the norm for these older Courtyards. The room was clean but the chair needs some reupholstering. The fitness center was tight and missing some dumbbells, but well stocked. The spacious lobby has plenty of seating areas for dining and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I thought the room was clean until I saw the roach and the stains in the shower curtain. But I was so tired and I didn t call front desk. At that point I was over it. We always stay at Courtyard Marriott Hotels as the are nice and we have never had any issues. We had a funeral to go to, and knew we could depend on this hotel. We arrived late and we he a/c didn t work well, the girl at the front desk said they were fully booked. They did have a a/c guy come work on it. They told us they would have someone come work on our a/c while we were at the funeral home n Saturday. We come back emotional and come to find out the repair person left our patio door unlocked, and our belongings were in the room. I tried to lock it and it would not lock or latch on. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone but didn t apologize or anything. We found the bar to lock the patio door. But being the fact that we PAY for our room to have privacy and to be secure. But to leave it unlocked and not try to make it up to us. And the front desk only comped us Breakfast and we had told them we had the leave early. This has been the most unprofessional hotel we have ever had. We will ever ever come to stay at this hotel and we will not recommend it either.

I spent much of 2017-2019 at this hotel and Im so disappointed now. The bed is hard and lumpy at the same time, which is impressively bad. The towels are worse than sandpaper, I bought better at a dollar store for clean up after a kids party and, after waking up at 5:20 am with hip and back pain, upon trying to call the front desk and request a room change.... The phone in the room doesnt work. I used my cell to call and request a different room for my second night and absolutely no response The location is great, good amenities but horrible customer service and the worst room Ive ever stayed in

Room dirty, sliders didnt open due to old doors being rusted. Shower tub filled to top while showering, gross. Female staff at desk rude, especially Spanish girl with white eyeliner. She would look at me then look down and never say can I help you, making me wait while she was on her cell. She did this several times on her shift. I would never stay again because of her rudeness. I tried to tell her about my old dinghy room I was paying 169 for a balcony, she replied people who complain just want their money back. Thats not true. If there were a fire I would not be able to get out when windows are rusted shut.

Not happy with this property at all. The rooms smelled damp like wet musty clothes. The water in the sink smelled Rusty, The queen bed did not have a bed skirt, and theere was two nats in my room. I was initally upgraded to a a King suite, however as single female traveller its not safe to have a room on the first floor, or any floor next door to the exit door. The front desk displayed my room number to the man behind me when she handed me the room key.

Very disappointed with the beds very uncomfortable and the pillows not too great to sleep on. The window curtain was broken as one side could not be shut and also noticed the window had a gap where the air could get out. Very disappointed in this Marriott property. It was not up to Marriott standards. The food in the restaurant was reheated in a microwave. The hotel was dirty everywhere I looked. The room configuration had the TV at the side of the bed instead of the foot of the bed. I got a stiff neck trying to watch it sideways. Some of the curtains were detached from the rod. The desk had crumbs on it from previous people. Ive stayed in a lot of Marriott properties over the years and this is one of the worse ones ever.

Bathroom stinks and quality of bathroom, shower, towels and bed is nowhere close to Courtyard by Marriot hotels standards. Water quality is so poor. I selected for 2 queen beds and breakfast for 2 while booking and paid extra for this option. When the reservation confirmation came they gave me 1 king bed which looked like 1 queen bed. When I called them they said reservation shows as 1 kind bed and no breakfast included. I still don t understand how it happened. First time if ever happened like that.

Joey was fantastic! He was very accommodating to my needs and my familys needs. He was bilingual which was excellent because my family only spoke Spanish so they felt very welcomed by him. He was very detailed answering all my questions. He was very helpful with the printing of my familys boarding passes also. The shuttle service was very useful to get to the airport. The female at the reception I didnt catch her name but she was very nice and helpful during checkout. The room was of extreme comfort, the place was safe, super clean and modern, and I felt it was worth every cent. Excellent! Would stay again and would recommend to others!

With the spread of the Delta variant and Texas having a low vaccination rate, its simply irresponsible to have employees not wear masks regardless of the official rules or laws. As a hospitality business, the health and safety of guests should be the number one priority. There are many businesses such as restaurants and other hotels which keep their employees masked regardless of the local law. Thats being responsible. This is not.

Our flight was canceled had an unexpected layover with six people got adjoining rooms! Check in was super easy! Amazing rooms! My 13-year-old even managed to leave his phone behind and they got it to us at the airport via shuttle amazing will stay here again anytime!

Although it was a business trip, my boyfriend and I loved the place. The only bad thing was that they didnt have as many channels (like MTV Classic)...but watching YouTube made up for it... Excellent place!

We were only in the lobby visiting a friend. It was lovely with several spots for an intimate conversation. Beautiful, clean and the staff was very pleasant. When my friend forgot her mask in her room. The desk clerk didnt say a word and just quietly brought her one. Very nice!

This was the first time I have had a bad experience at a Marriott! Our bed was filthy was biten by the ants that were in the bed eating the crumbs we didnt see. Lights and AC didnt work and couldnt change rooms. Very disappointed in this experience!
